Hotel Blankenburg is housed in a classic building from 1890 and has served as a hotel ever since. First known as hotel national, the building can look back upon a long history. For 20 years, it has been bearing the name blankenburg, after the small town in the northern Harz mountains. The hotel houses a small bistro, 2 nice breakfast rooms, a conference room, sauna and steam room, parking facilities and garages on the courtyard, lift and 36 guestrooms renovated between 1999 and 2001. The majority of the rooms are quiet and backward-facing. Only a few rooms look onto the vibrant federal road called kriegsstraße (road of war since this used to be a military road). The soundproof windows reduce the noise significantly. Our regular guests particularly appreciate the central setting right in front of the national theatre, the individual and cosy atmosphere as well as the copious breakfast buffet.
