Historically, Allentown was the place where the Liberty Bell (known once as the Pennsylvania State House bell) was hidden from the British during the American Revolutionary War. A shrine now hangs in the spot where the Liberty Bell was hidden and is surrounded by the flags of the original 13 colonies. The city is also home to the Allentown Art Museum, The Baum School of Art, the Marine Band of Allentown, the Crayola Factory and the Da Vinci Science Center among others.
