Love the pleasant, professional staff, cleanliness of the hotel from the front door throughout. I will return to Westin Arlington Gateway South Carolina visitor No complaints
Very clean Awesome staff Valet drove cars a little fast.
Pets were allowed ... Not cool!
Staff was very helpful and friendly; liked the fact that hotel is pet friendly - even had a water bowl at the front entrance for pets waiting while cars were unloaded. Square "rainwater" shower looks nice, but gives too little water pressure. Valet parking service wasn't very fast retrieving cars - looked a little understaffed.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Air conditioner functioned very poorly, workout equipment was outdated, bathroom/shower was outdated. Way too expensive for such an outdated facility.
The staff was very professional and my room was veryclean and comfortable! Walls were a little thin and I wish the pool was open longer.

I liked the bathroom and breakfast I got the executive suite with king size bed. The mattress was not comfortable , pillows were ok. the rug in my suite was old and the room didn't have life , I couldn't relax. You almost have to talk in whispers . You can hear people talking and walking.
Crawling distance to the Metro train station. The safe in the room was not secured to anything. Noisy AC in the room.
This hotel is a great value. I was suprised to find a Hilton in the price range for my weekend trip. For longer stays I would pick a Hilton or Wyndham type place but for busy weekends I typically go for a cheaper chain (super 8 even). My room was a bit out dated, but personally that doesn't bother me, I'm in DC for other things not to judge my furniture. It was clean, the staff was helpful and nice. I'm not sure why it has gotten some low reviews. Hilton Honors is free SIGN UP!!! I got free wifi ($10/night) and free parking ($17/night) for taking 2 minutes of my time after I booked. If you expect freshly renovated high end rooms, this may be a little bit of a let down to you, but if you want room on a budget this is a perfect option. The only thing I was missing in my room was a microwave, if I was staying longer than 2 nights I probably would have missed that, but I never asked I may have been able to get one. There is a laundry service however there is no onsite do it yourself laundry.

directly over a metro stop room air was loud, even when turned off the neighboring rooms air was heard. several small pillows that weren't comfortable. neighborhood has gone downhill. parking is $20 daily. $85/night too much and that's before parking fee.

Close to metro and public parking, and a so-so mall is nearby. Internet not included with stay, extra fee for that. What is this, 2005? Bathroom ceiling was a mess and small, not really up to 3 star status.
Room was beautiful; shower was luxurious Room too dark; should NOT try to charge for WIFI-- that is basic need today; when I complained, it was compted; breakfast buffet was delicious but should be included
Friendly staff. Places within walking distance. Staff made great suggestions. Clearly they're well trained. No breakfast & no free wifi. I've certainly stayed places for less money that have offered both.
The room was furnished beautifully and the location was very nice - there are a lot of places to visit around the hotel itself, and it's immediately above the Ballston metro stop so it's easy to get to the city. The front desk staff were rude and didn't listen to the simplest of requests; the two times we had to interact with them, it was apparent we were an inconvenience. We were woken up both mornings by housekeeping standing in the room connected to ours chatting away as well as in the hallway yelling to one another at 7:30am. After a very long drive to Arlington, we needed rest and certainly didn't get it. The room itself had trash from the previous guests still, and the faucet nozzles were broken, making it difficult to use the faucet itself.
Robert and Maylia at the front desk were accommodating. I had to change my room three times because it was unclean. The rooms had hair, and foot prints on the bathroom floor, a greasy stove top, a small pinkish spot on the coverlet, greasy finger prints on the remote control, splatters on the mirrors and shower handle, a stain on the sofa and splatters on the toilet.
