Not a 5 star hotel
it's a nice grand hotel with high ceilings and looks majestic. staff is really nice
the price is too high for what you get. rooms are so/so, nothing special and certainly not 5 star more like between 3 and 4 stars. Breakfast was good, but since it was room service it took them forever to bring the coffee they forgot to bring first time they came. I guess a bit problematic because of COVID but it seems it isn't much better otherwise
Passable
They re-located me to a brand new residence apartment on the back of the hotel. But I don't think it is on the same level of the 5 stars hotel. Different entrance, had room service but I didn't like the bed. Not comfy. If I was travelling with my family it could be good. But I was solo and wanted the regular hotel room. After my complain they said there was no room available that night and changed me to the hotel on the night after.
Exceptional
The hotel is amazing, historial place with culture and class. The staff is professional and kind.
Location
When I arrived and after the price was blocked in my credit card I was informed that the Spa (main reason of my choice for that hotel) was closed for maintenance reasons. Three days before the web of the hotel adviced that closing but starting on 3 March (The day after my departure). In addition my wife missed something valued for her in the room and it was not recovered by the cleaning staff.
The rooms were big and comfortable, the property is beautiful.
The Royal Spa was out of order and nobody told us until we tried to go. So they didn’t tell us at check in nor could they tell us when it would be fixed. We paid for Royal Spa access in our room charge and they didnt rebate or give us anything extra to compensate for it, a apart from access to another hotel spa at New York Palace, which was far less iconic and beautiful as the Royal Spa was meant to be. This sort of thing can be inevitable, but proper communication and staff transparency isn’t. Also had to ask for a bucket of ice 5 times one night before it came. Took about an hour. The staff, except for one in the restaurant and one at reception were often standoffish and short with us.
Everything, beautiful hotel
Maybe have milk in the room for tea
The hotel and the staff were fantastic. However I paid for a a room with spa access but the as was closed. Even though we used an alternative hotel spa for a couple of hours it wasn't great so it would have been better to have a free breakfast 2 days instead
The hotel charged more money from my card! Be careful!
Executive Lounge - worth paying more to secure.
Nothing
On a busy street but quiet once inside. Location is close to the Jewish quarter and shopping center, across the streets from the subway and tram. Many restaurants nearby.
Room was clean but the carpet could use replacement.
Extra ordinary service . Very clean . Cannot ask for more
Well located and beautifully appointed. Luxurious. Unmatched breakfast buffet. Responsive, courteous and friendly personnel. Beautiful live music during the evening hours. Fine restaurants in the hotel. No noise in the room. Spacious hallways and common areas. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres in the Executive Lounge. Reasonably priced. Good selection of tv channels and good in-room dining. Good water pressure.
Pool was ice cold. Supposed to be warm.
Everything else
Breakfast too busy .No coffee machine in the room
Executive Club was good and appreciated. We liked the Espa toiletries. Staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was a little drab with lots of mahogany and old fashioned colours which dated it, but perhaps that’s mostly a personal observation. The hotel would benefit from smelling a little fresher, I think hotels of this Cali red should have a signature fragrance which is perceptible throughout the building and in all the rooms (it can be subtle but perceptible). This is easily achieved if the desire to improve is there.
The area the hotel resides is a little rundown, but you can walk or take a taxi to the better areas.
The food
The beds
Beautiful hotel, room was big and clean, nice bathroom. Breakfast has a lot of choices and the breakfast staff was wonderful. Spa was very nice place to relax after a long day. I will definitely visit again.
Cannot say enough about this hotel, absolutely fabulous hotel, lovely staff, beautiful spa facilities, Amazing breakfast, Executive lounge was something else!!
It was perfect!!
Every staff member at the property was wonderful-professional, pleasant and accommodating. The staff at the executive club were outstanding! Spa facilities were clean; space staff very accommodating. Breakfast buffet was outstanding; generous and varied. Executive club also outstanding-very nice perk-worth the money.
Room furnishings, carpet and window treatments are a bit dated and worn. Interior rooms facing the atrium are a bit noisy.
Great SPA. Amazing breakfast.
Rooms without external windows are very hot even in cold winter days.
Loved the breakfast and bar!
Fantastic room and staff. Hotel facilities brilliant
Very nice, spacious hotel with a good location.
Breakfast is expensive. Beds are soft and uncomfortable. They charge your credit card, even if you pay with cash or other card (it takes weeks to get it back)
Everything about the Corinthia Budapest was a dream, the staff couldn’t do enough for us from start to finish. I let the hotel know that we were celebrating and they left us treats in the room with a personal letter from the management, a 5star touch! They really went the extra mile. Everything was spotless and we had everything we could have needed. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment but the spa was very nice. It felt very exclusive and private. Overall a perfect get away and great celebration.
Perfect hotel for a city break. Excellent rooms, very clean, great staff. Helpful, friendly concierge, attractive location, rooms can be stuffy. Brilliant breakfasts and Bock Bisztro next door unusually good. Take the executive package which offers snacks all day and free drink. Comes in handy for filling the gaps. Overall great place to stay
The hotel room was lovely, as was the staff. Beautiful building and everything felt very luxurious. We ordered room service snacks which was both very tasty and quite affordable. The location of the hotel was quite central with both a local grocery store and many restaurants nearby. Would definitely consider coming back!
I wish the spa facilities had a bit more to offer, there were like three saunas, two hot tubs and a large pool. For the price I would have expected there to be more. Our room got very hot at night and it was a bit hard to regulate the temperature. Also our toilet had some issues where it wouldn't stop flushing, but it wasn't anything that affected our stay too badly.
We were amazed by the breakfast and the security system as they take care about their guest. The man who took our luggages from the car is doing án exelent job when we arrived. The reseption is always finding solutions to pleased us.
Hei Dear Hotel Staff! I really sorry to say, but we were not satisfied with the cleaning and with the bed. We ordered executive room. Only we had a few tv channels to see, mostly were news or blocked channels as Rai Uno or Due. The others were music channels or just news. The king size bed was only good for one person because if one of us was moving on the bed, the other of us was rolling into middle of the bed too. Pain for back, that is why I was sleeping on the sofa. If was dust on the cupboard where the tea and coffee were during when we were staying there.
Good location Elegant design
Services not what you would expect from a 5star hotel
We didn't go to the breakfast buffet - it was expensive and we could not just have a coffee and bowl of porridge without paying for the whole buffet. A small café not far away, called Early Bird Coffee, did an excellent breakfast in a charming atmosphere.
A more flexible menu for breakfast would have been appreciated

Breakfast was excellent, staff present could not cater with the any visitors. Service at the concierge was too good, a remembrance of the old times. Restaurant Caviar and bull was too good.
crowd during breakfast, spa beds where always occupied, room carpeting needs better cleaning or a change
Beautiful hotel with up to standard service and facilities. Very nice spa! Well equipped/staffed executive lounge. Would be happy to go back!
Nothing.
all the team of the hotel gave high level service as a 5 stars hotel aim to give rooms are clean managed well breakfast is the best you can get the launch traklin of the hotel have alcohols snakes. hot drinks and beautiful team that allways smiles and serve all you want
it will be smarter to plan spa entrance capacity by hour and people with the actual limits
I have traveled extensively for work over the years and have had the chance of staying at very nice hotels around the world (and some very very nice ones too). I can say without hesitation that staying at the Corinthia is one of my best hotel experiences. It started with the utter friendliness, politeness and professionalism at check-in first, and of all staff members we have encountered afterwards. Everyone makes you feel that they are there just for you. The room was very comfortable, cosy and well decorated. The breakfast buffet was just perfect and the spa and pool amazing (just look at the pictures). I can only recommend upgrading to executive level if you can, to enjoy the secluded comfort of the executive lounge with nice, big sofas, food and drinks, and a staff that will make sure you feel perfectly at home. I definitely know where I'm staying the next time I am coming to Budapest
The location is not far from the central shopping street, on the ring - the main boulevard, in between two railway stations, close to the metro line going to Szecenyi bath complex. Huge hotel, quiet and cosy thought. Many options to eat: bars, bistro, restaurant - excellent food. The breakfast was royal with all imaginable and not cold cuts, eggs, omelettes, fruit, yoghurts. We tried both: main breakfast room where you may have to queue for a bit to get your place in rush hour, and the executive on a mezzanine. The executive room we had is vast, with the sofa area, well equipped, french window leading into a patio - private courtyard on a mezzanine shared with 3-4 other rooms, where we could relax in the evening listening to the music just above the restaurant. The bathroom has a bath and a shower cabin, a double sink, spacious. The personnel is polite and at the level of the hotel. Great place for business and family stay. Unfortunately, we had no time to use the spa, preferring to visit the iconic Gellert, Rudas and Szecenyi baths in the open air, so no opinion about it, but hopefully we'll come back again to Corinthia.
The executive room has to undergo a slight renovation, as some marks on the furniture and interior are there, which makes a price a bit too high as it is already the price of the same category hotel in Paris, let's say. Overall Budapest, food, baths, museums, taxi are already at a higher price than the rest of Western Europe, but not there yet regarding the quality and the choice of all mentioned above. We had some 15-20% discrepancy in a bill compared with what we were told we were to pay at the arrival due to high city taxes and the options/upgrade which were too complicated to understand and surely higher than announced, maybe also due to local forint exchange rate. Does not impact the note, still an excellent place and 1st choice for a come back.
Everything you need for a stress free break. Beautiful spa
This hotel completely exceeded our expectations! For the price it was outstanding. We went a few weeks before Christmas and the decor in the foyer area and around the hotel was amazing, really put us in the Christmas spirit! The spa was also incredible, we actually preferred it to the local baths and ended up spending a few evenings here! We didn't eat at the restaurants as we were out a lot of the time, but we did end up ordering room service one night which was perfect. If I come to Budapest again, I will definitely stay here.
I liked the old style of the building, art noveau is gorgeous, spa is is amazing!
Some of the hotel was a bit modern such as the rooms, would be nicer if it looked more like the original era of the building
Clean, friendly staff, location, parking
Room temperature was very high with no possibility to decrease as AC wasn´t set on cooling mode, window looking towards lobby and no access to outside air
The food
Staff didnt deal with the noise in the next room which went on until 3am.
Hotel looks amazing from the outside and the lobby is also amazing.
We stayed five nights and all I can say is - If you Are looking for a luxury hotel this def ain’t the one! Pretty noisy, SPA (not includded in price) much smaller than it seems on photos, water in the pool was so Cold that we couldn’t step in, got wrong room first night (we booked vacation more than month before) that Had window looking into hall so its impossible to have some Fresh air in it, humidity was horrible... another room was better but still - not impressed!
The Architecture / Breakfast / 4 Restaurants for Dinner
Bed not so confortable , not so big ( in Deluxe Room ) I expected 180-200 King Size Pool Program Restrictions for Kids , only between 11-15
Nice helpful staff
Excellent breakfast. Great rooms. Good value for money
Spa was decent
Booked a room that, on your site, said city view but I didn’t get one, even after complaining.
We had a room with spa and lounge access. Just perfect. Snacks and drinks through out the day. Very nice spa amenities. Room very comfortable. Heavenly pillows
The electric socket near the bed didn't work. We told them about it. When we came back to the room it workd for an hour or so and than again stopped working.
Guest service and receptionists great. Porter very friendly. Great location. Highly recommend to stay at this location.

The bed was sooooo comfy and the staff, were excellent
Nothing really.
Room was nice Location good
Breakfeast was chaos on Sunday . Food cold, service poor, things no re filled. People watching over you to jump in your seat when finished Lounge was good but food always the same, sandwiches good if u like cucumber all with this. Running out of glasses for drinks.
Everything was great thank you
Hairdryer was not the best but as it was so cold I was in a hat most of the tine so this was not a concern
+ wallet parking + bellboy/concierge service + season decoration
- check in process - too long and chaotic - we came bit earlier, so we have been asked to come back at 3pm, so we came back at 4pm and room was still not ready (executive suite) and we have been asked to wait another 30 minutes - in 21st century they still do not support contactless paymements or apple pay - executive suite - bedroom was nice, u can see that the furnuture is quite old, living room - very strange and poor set up of seating - uncomfortable and unuseable - rooms facing the street was very noisy, very poor soundproof windows - hotel amenity cosmetics set - only 1 shampoo and 1 shower gel for 2 persons and 2 nights - breakfast - good selection, only 1 egg station for such a big hotel is not enough - always a long queue, we were expecting fresh orange juice as it is 5* property - wellness overloaded, no space for bathrobes - executive club - they present an option of private check in and check out - does not work, so it is worth only to have a coffee or drink or small snack - check out - very formal, no questions about our satisfaction, no small talk Result - comparing other 5* hotels in this price category (300eur/night) in Budapest they have still too much to improve
Rooms, breakfast, facility, service
Small spa and very crowdy.
Very beautiful hotel, very nice room, beautiful, but small spa area. staff very friendly, but partially with limited competence ;-) Plus honestly, I had to do 3 times with staff not speaking english properly and having difficulties understanding you, if you didn’t speak school level english. The hotel is beautiful, no question about it.
I tried to order a table in the asian restaurant for 3 x, every time without success. once at the reception in person (we‘ll send an email), once in person at the restaurant (corporate reservation system, we don‘t see the reservations = bad excuse or very bad organization) and twice via phone (ended always in nirvana).Very unsatisfying and not approprate for a 5 star hotel. At least say, we‘re full, sorry). Then waiting at reception, because of bad organization, same at breakfast, where staff was completely challenged. Really bad organization there. And no spare toilet paper plus a hairdryer, where you will not be able to find a cheaper one. Guys - seriously? You really have to work on management and organization. And if you‘re fully booked or understaffed it‘s also a management and organization problem. I‘ll accept that at Ibis Styles or a Paris Novotel, not at a 5 star hotel at Euro 280 a night over New Year‘sEve .....
The bed was large enough.
Nothing special
- Brilliant breakfast - Good location - Comfortable beds - Lovely spa - Helpful staff
- Room far too hot despite ‘ac’ on - Spa got very busy on weekends, no space in jacuzzis or to swim - TV hard to use - reception said they’d send someone to help but nobody turned up - No view or natural light from deluxe rooms, faced into the hotel lobby. - no info given about events happening such as movie nights in the cinema room so we missed it.
Great breakfast, friendly staff in Executive’s Club, nice rooms
We couldn’t pair our mobile phones to the room’s TV. When we complained about it, we were told that they’ll check it and we got no answer (it happened several times).
The christmas tree
That to have access to the pool you have to pay extra! it’s part of the spa and not the hotel facilities evwn though the most attractive part of the hotel is the poll
The need to renew the hotel
Some of the staff at reception they not a good as I thought no real afford sorry
Good location, very beautiful hotel. Lovely people working there. Breakfast and all other food was as good as in a good restaurant.
The moment we entered out room we noticed dirty bathrobes (see the picture). We had to call 3 times the reception and wait the whole day to get them changed. 6 hours waiting seems to much for a luxury hotel.

We booked the executive room which was bigger and included entrance to the lounge with snacks and drinks all day long. The hotel is luxurious and staff very attentive. Room is cleaned twice a day. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised me with a cake. Will definitely stay at this establishment on my next visit.
We had a room facing the hotel inner Court, which was a little weird.
We spent very little time at the property but enjoyed very much our Nightcap at Le Bar found the atmospehere and staff really pleasant
Nothing really
Grate spa
The kettle didn’t work, the hair dryer was too small and dated
I've tried to have breakfast the first day, most of the tables vacant but nobody to attend people , after a while I've been taken to a table that was not ready , asking for be patient ; so i went by ,myself to another table but I've been told that was not possible to choose the seat; Probably it was just a mistake done by an unesperienced guy, but not adéquate to the level of the hotel;
Everything was fantastic, especially the Executive Club and the Spa area.
Everything was just perfect.
We absolutely loved our stay in the Corinthia Budapest. As it was my husband's 60th birthday, we decided to book a junior suite and, on arrival, were upgraded to an executive suite - it was superb and made our weekend break all the more memorable. Everything about our stay was faultless: wonderful staff, cleanliness 100%, the executive lounge a wonderful zone to relax in, a huge variety of breakfast food. My husband also received a lovely birthday surprise of complimentary sparkling wine from the hotel - perfect to enjoy at the end of out day! Thank you so much Corinthia Budapest.

The room was hot and it seemed difficult to get the aircon to cool it.
Konum kahvaltı personel
Everything is perfect...
Perfect breakfast, nice rooms. Vallet parking.
Beautiful reception area, staff, location
Rooms a little tired, small travel size hairdryer
Breakfast was great and they even put a delicious cake in our room as we were celebrating our birthdays.
Long waits to check-in and check-out. Could do with more staff.
Great location, room size was great. Comfy beds. Receptionist was so rude though, not sure why she has an issue the day of checkout but overall 5 stars.
Receptionist lady had personal issues
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location great! Food was lovely! Beautiful hotel.
Exceptional look and atmosphere, very helpful and polite staff, excellent facilites. Spa and pool are first-rate too!
Bed was extremely soft and pillows were cheap and nasty.
Excellent hotel with good facilities and well maintained spacious rooms. Walking distance to most thing you would want to do in Budapest The spa had good facilities but was exceptionally busy.
Great hotel, very clean, good facilities and good location. Close to most major sites to visit.
Nothing, great hotel
Everything, could not fault it. Breakfast had the best choice and quality out of any hotel I’ve stayed. Definitely worth booking for the executive lounge and spa. Overall a 5 star hotel.
Pillows could be softer
Lazlo on reception has a great memory, he remembered me from a stay last year and was very welcoming. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. A selection of chocolates were left in our room, they were great, nice touch. The spa was awesome, I'd come back again just for that! Breakfast was probably the best meal of the day in the executive lounge, away from the crowds.
The executive lounge food could have been a bit more exciting and include cocktails. They used to have espa products in the hotel rooms, now sadly missed. I found the cleaners wet cloth in my suitcase, in my room, not sure how that happened? The reception staff could have been more concerned about this. On check out they tried to charge me for chocolate from the mini bar, I didnt even look in the minibar!
Costs that little bit more but well worth the extra for the additional comfort
The additional cost for breakfast was £30 per day although we didn’t take this.
a very superb hotel with an incredible SPA
The staff were excellent and went out of their way to make my wife comfortable when she was not feeling well due to being pregnant. The Spa was excellent and I would consider this the best part of the hotel!
Just a few minor things that were lacking and which you come to expect from a 5 star hotel. For instance no daily water, poor selection of coffee/ drinks, unclear what is minibar / complimentary items. Our room was close to the main road and we could hear the traffic at night.
The hotel is amazing, very beautiful. Spa area is stunning. Staff is awesome, very nice and helpful. We really recommend the hotel, but please be aware of some issues you might face with. Especially the view to the hall (internal view) thought we had quite expensive room.
but there were few issues, quite shocking for this type of the hotel - bathrobe was a bit dirty - the room was awesome but with the view and windows to the internal hall. ( no fresh air at all) - they forgot to bring us bottle of water ( that is must for 5* hotels) we decided not to tell and we ordered it in the room, after that they brought us two bottles of free water ( it was 9pm already) - the spa area was super crowded on the weekends, no place to sit or to put your things.
Excellent location, helpful team, nice breakfast
Checkout can be very slow when there are to many people - checkout in advance option missing? At night there was a very disturbing noice, which is probably relate to wind in the steel construction of the atrium roof :(
Very elegant building in an excellent location. Deluxe room was very spacious and comfortable. Evening drink in the bar with live music and excellent wine was very enjoyable. Helpful professional staff.
Remember to put 'Do not disturb' sign in the evening as cleaning staff knocks on the door at 9am already! SPA area was nice but with only one normal pool (smaller than on the pictures, 18m tops), no selection of hot water pools. Breakfast was sufficient but exactly same selection on two consecutive days. Comparing to previous hotel we stayed in for 1/3 of the price I was expecting a bit more.
Spa & lobby beautiful.. excellent location
Staff were rude. Loud drilling on our first day had to be moved rooms
The main area beautiful and spa great. Be sure eat at Caviar and Bull it was wonderful,
Rooms were horrible and AC dud not work.
We loved the location. It was a 20 minute walk to the river, or a 5 minute metro ride. Lots of restaurants within a 15 minute walk. The rooms, especially the bathroom was lavishly appointed. The bed and the pillows were exceptionally comfortable.
I was disappointed to hear that the pool was an extra $15 euros per day to use. I was unpleasantly surprised on my return to see an extra charge of over $200 to my Visa. I have emailed the hotel twice asking for an explanation, so far no response.
This hotel is a dream come true. Everything was excellent: the customer service second to none, exceptional accommodations, fantastic location, very, very clean , historical hotel but having the most modern and updated features of technology.

The hotel is centrally located. The rooms were very nice and the personnel very helpful and friendly. Great spa facilities.
No.
The staff at this hotel is fantastic. Everyone I interacted with-front desk, concierge, servers/bartenders in the lounge and breakfast restaurant, was attentive and clearly concerned about whether or not I was enjoying my stay. The location was perfect.
Like many European hotels in an older building, the thermostat in the room was a bit tricky. I moved to a downgraded room, just to have a window that opened so I could better control the room temperature. The staff was fantastic in coordinating my move.
Nice athmosphere, friendly stuff , beautiful christmas decoration, good breakfast, easy parking nice pool.
Parking is a lil bit expensive compared with other hotels. On the first look, rooms look really nice, but it is easy to see in some corners minor reparations could be necessary. I would say, a better technical maintenance would keep rooms looking newer.
Wonderful hotel. We ordered a superior room without a breakfast, so I can't review the food but we arrived and was immediately upgraded to a deluxe room, which was bigger and more comfortable
There was a problem with the air conditioning, which didn't make the room cold enough so for the first two days we felt really hot, but the staff did everything they can to help us and eventually arranged a fan for us which was very helpful.
The in-room dining Hotel employee was amazing); excellent food. Nice location. Cool souvenir shop. Business center (other hotel employee was helpful).
Ladies at the reception (checking in/out) were not very friendly. No smile, no greetings, short answer and didn't seem to like their job. I was afraid to ask them any questions. However, all other staff members were cordial and helpful.
Beautiful old hotel. Very friendly staff. Great location.
No complaints.

Lite förvirrande med utbud av rabatterade behandlingar via booking och deras egna hemsida där personalen inte verkade vara informerad kring vilket erbjudande som gällde.
