Good value. Friendly staff.
It was conveniently located not too far from downtown and LA. The staff that cleaned the rooms didn't speak English so it was hard to communicate with them , also there was only one microwave for the entire floor to use which is ridiculous.
2nd time staying at this hotel .. always clean & staff is very nice ..
Carpet was so old, and sticky. Bathroom floors sticky, coffee machine n cups are kept right next to the urinal
Actually I don't like the hotel The hotel room smells bad as soon you walk in to the room Also you don't feel your self in a real hotel the area were is the hotel is unsafe
Staff & Location were great. good amount of security guards around due to being a casino. Sorta ghetto version of a chinese casino hotel for tour groups from china.... vibe is just bad. Some of the room isn't flat, the room i was in, My head is about 3 inches lower then my feet if i laying down on the bed like a normal person does......
Absolutely nothing Most of the stuff in the rooms were broken the beds were like laying on plywood and the pool and hot tubs were closed the whole week we were there because they were also broken.
They had bugs and it was really uncomfortable. Also the first day of the check in my bedroom was not ready until 5 pm
Looks nothing like online horrible service and tacky rooms
Breakfast. They serve Korean food. Clean room. Great price. Not expensive. Better than motels at the same price. Excellent location. Right next to the highway. Cigarette smell in the lobby Parking.
View Bad service Rooms were not facilitated Heater didn't work Water was browm
The size of the room, the lobby and also the close services as Starbucks Coffee. Breakfast.
Room was clean Not a very safe area, we were told by police to get inside for our safety. A gut in the night was trying to smash the vending machine at the end of the hall. Also very hard to find as the area is actually Compton and the hotel is a different name and not willow tree inn!
I liked the fact that there was no warm water. It was freaking priceless. It took too long for the hotel clerk to check me in. Granted I checked in hella late but I still.
Spacious room, better-than-average breakfast. The hotel is easy to find - just near exit from freeway.
Altough in a former dangerous part of the city, very nice and safe hotel with very good connections to everything in the L.A. area (20-30mins).
clean rooms, continental breakfast and good price. NA
location to our relatives home
A clean room and very comfortable bed with a good breakfast in pleasant surroundings. The morning hotel staff were very helpful. Our Booking.com print out records and prior confirmation did not tally with the hotel records leading to a very lengthy and muddled check-in.
The staff was really friendly. The continental breakfast was good and the location was close to the local college where I was taking a week long class. The room had a fridge and other amenities that helped with comfort. There was no area for lounging around and it was a very urban (really industrial) location. It was a little difficult to get to from the off ramp, but you could get there through the Carl's Jr. parking lot. There was a map showing a pool on the door of my room, but the Starbucks drive through was there instead.
The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast ended at 9:00 am, tooooo early.
Was given great upgrade; rooftop is fantastic Absolutely everything was great!
The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.
We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite! The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!
Great location, very new, and very nice staff! Perfect place in Venice.
We loved the new and greatly designed rooms, as well as the young atmosphere of the hotel. The rooftop bar will take off - it is a great place. We will be back! The staff needs some more time together to make everything run smoothly. But they were always very nice and friendly - thanks for a great time with you!
the suite was awesome! The rooftop bar was great. Blankets were clutch. Friendly staff!
The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
It was close and convenient to my son who lives in Venice. Stayed there in Dec. in the newer rooms on the top floor which was much nicer than the room I had this time. Also, I think the 6th. floor room was about the same price as the room where I was this time.(5th floor) Yes, I opened the sliding door during the night for some fresh air. It was difficult to sleep because of the noise(homeless sleeping in the alley) that my room overlooked.
The hotel is realy gret. Great staff, wonderful instalations..... So I really could live there. The price and the cost to park, once the garage is inside the building of the hotel.
Hotel Erwin is perfectly located on Venice beach, the staff is excellent, restaurant serves excellent breakfasts, nothing to complain about.
Miguel was fabulous and helped us in many ways, he went above and beyond. The entire staff was friendly and helpful The music on the roof did keep us up, and the ear plugs cost money
Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina. $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
The remodel is first class. The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach. Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits. Beds were super comfortable. $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel. No complaints.
My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Marina Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T
Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel. Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
the location room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room. time it took to get the food valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending. I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
I like the avalibiliy of the staff For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
The lobby, close location to Venice beach and the bar were quite nice. Staff is accommodating and nice. Rooms and interiors of the halls were old, carpet is definitely old, and the lounge for elite members is tiny (cramped seating). Really small outdoor pool.
Parking fee not included in stay
Room was nice and clean Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Service Rooms not ready for check in
Fri parkering.
wifi works ok. Staff are kind. parking lot pretty small. whole building is extremely small as well. kinda old. Poor facility. No breakfast. No refrigerator. Air-conditioner kinda annoying. Looks not that safe.
Noting Everything would not stay here
The bed took up all the space but it was a good size alot of movie channels and fridge The microwave was down the hall i didnt have a real comforter blanket the sheets were from walmart they had roaches and my towels were dirty looked like there were boogers on it I'll never stay there again
That I was able to cancel my reservation and get my money back! EVERYTHING! GHETTO! Very shady. A lot of illegal activities going around at the same time.
good service! no
The area is unsafe
Keep it clean Bathroom did not have curtains no privacy
I liked how close it was to LA. There wasn't much parking and I didn't feel comfortable leaving things in my car.
Just clean The location, the ambience , almost everything very expensive because nothing worth the pain
Price is ok for the hotel may be a little more expensive. If you sleep downstairs you can not sleep due to squek noises of the upstairs floor. The environment not look safe. Thé bathroom is so small that we could not use it. Limited amount öf parking. WiFi is good.
I thought it was very clean. I had stayed in some other rooms one in compton one in Carson one in lakewood. The ones in Carson and lakewood were disgusting. This place was clean they painted the rooms the bathroom was clean it was just very small. Decent flat screen tv and excellent staff. It's an Indian husband and wife anything I needed they were more than happy to help. There were a few ants in the bathroom they came and sprayed. It was very quiet also. I would definitely stay there again you can't beat $46 a night with it as nice as it was. Every other place that cheap was just disgusting. They also had free wifi that was a nice speed. The only thing I didn't like was how small the room was and there was no refrigerator or ice machine. There was a microwave in the lobby and if I asked the staff for ice they'd get it from their apt but I didn't like bothering them too much. If they put refrigerators the place would be perfect. We
My daughter and l had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was very clean and beds where comfortable. The location is a short walk to the beach. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive! We were so happy with our accommodations that we extended our stay by two days. Highly recommend !
I've stayed here before for a few days - great location and generally a very good place to stay. However the room was a bit musty when I entered - not enough for me to want a new oom but noticeable. Facilities are OK - bathroom very cosy though. Would definetly stay again.
Comfortable and homey!
Charming, great location, interesting architecture, right amount of funk, very helpful staff, good breakfast. door knobs were a problem, but it is a real problem for an old house where you are trying to keep it authentic. Half the rooms have a shared bath—not a problem, but good to know about.
Clean room and convenient location. Nice common areas. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. The best price for the overpriced area. This location has under gone a half hearted renovation. The price doesn't match the quality. The layout of the property is odd and there are no rooms with good views. Some of the furniture is banged up. The water temperature is difficult to control in the sinks. Sewer gas smells would come from the bathroom drains at night. Lower levels can hear movement from upper levels.
Good location and staff was very accommodating.
If you're looking for Venice Beach, the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the place as a whole is a little worse for wear, especially at $220/night. Reception feels more like a $40/night hostel than a hotel, bedding and couch both looked not entirely clean and there was mold and mildew all over the bathroom floor and walls.
Venice is what it is too many bums but venice breeze suites are very clean and nice and rooftop is great
Beautiful room, great location, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Parking was inconvenient.
Kitchen Too loud. Young people manage the place and don't care. Elevators broken!!! Can't go outside the hotel, too many homeless people around the outside of hotel.Never again!
location and friendliness of the staff. Lack of secure parking
Closeness to the beach and beach walk.We were near the action and still felt safe. I really liked the windows and airiness, the chairs at the end of the hall looking out over the beach. Not really a complaint, the parking was a little difficult but that was to be location-location. Good restaurants.
I did not see any live bugs; only dead ones. Room looked nothing like the pictures. Level of maintenance was abysmal. Linens were not commensurate with price of hotel.
