Very friendly service. Nice rooms with designed furniture. Free and working WiFi. The guesthouse is very small and perhaps a bit too intimate (only 2 tables in the breakfast room...). The street next door had lots of prostitutes, which didn't feel unsafe but nevertheless uncomfortable.
Lots of space in tastefully decorated rooms, delicious breakfast, staff was very friendly and could not have been more helpful.
room is huge (studio apartment, not your standard small hotel room), highly equipped, very clean, and 10 minutes walk from city-center. The owner is very friendly and helpful, making the stay even nicer.Even the "working girls" scattered in surrounding streets did not really bother me, as they mind their own business, hardly noticable. I will definitely come back!
it feels very welcoming and the host gives very good local advice!
Friendly, attentive staff, responsive and proactive, including to email. Free Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Very close to the Metro (subway). There is streetwalking in the area, but this does not seem to be a problem at all. It is an old building with no elevator and narrow stairs. Even though an internal renovation has been done and it is probably clean, it does not look clean (or new) and lacks some modern safety features (room door lock is a simple internal house lock and the front street door is not locked and needs care everytime to close).
Best accommodation I've had in Brussels so far. Although there is prostitution in the area, I (female) was never bothered or approached by anyone and felt perfectly safe, sometimes returning at 11pm.
Room was lovely, the owner/concierge was particularly friendly and helpful. Although I was only staying overnight, the room had facilities to cook your own food and eat in which would be very good if one had to stay for a more extended period - especially in a work context. Breakfast was very nice also. I'd definitely stay here again. The area around the hotel was not particularly nice. It was not a problem as long as you know where they were going, but you wouldn't want to stray off the beaten track.
Camelo the owner was great and helped me get along Location is bad, working ladies right below my window. Room needs facelift, not sure I will return..,
Hotel manager was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Guesthouse is located in an old building, interior is refurbished and well decorated keeping the spirit of old house. The room was in fact a studio apartement with enough space and homy feeling indeed. Bed was great! Pity I had to leave it too early. I would reccomend the place, for longer stay in particular. Located not far from train station (gare du Nord), but on smaller more quiet street. Metro station around the corner. The area is not the nicest one, some social deseases are visible on the surrounding streets in the evening, but in general did not look dangerous;
I just have good things to say. Should I choose one, I´d go for the sense of hospitality coming through the "room" (actually a small apartment), the way it has been designed, the many friendly and warm details, and Carmelo himself. na
Young host Fabien provides a five stars support during the stay. He is flexible, professional and caring. Great breakfast "comme à la maison" with fresh vegetables and homemade jam. Just two bedroom, one per floor: I did not meet the other guests. Main city center venues are in a short walking distance. TV and wi-fi are free of charge and available in the room itself. Not suitable for people with problems in deambulating (quite high stairs). For the rest, it was perfect.
Had a brilliant stay in Lit de Senne, Fabien was a great host. Its very close to everything and especially waffles :) We stayed in the top room and the breakfast was amazing too. Loved it.
The owner was extremely helpful and very friendly.
Small B&B with everything you need. Very friendly host. Steep stairs, so avoid big suitcases.
We loved the updated building in the center of town, easy walk museums and old part of town. Fabian, the owner was very helpful and provided great accomodations and a lovely breakfast. Our room was large and well equipped. Parking wasn't available, but there was public parking nearby. Don't park on the streets.
the room was very pretty with nice furniture. the location couldn't be better, right downtown and close to Bourse metro. i found it was very nice but really overpriced for what it was; a guest house. It has a single owner who is very nice but is not always there, particulary at night. There are two rooms, one all the way upstairs - 2 steep flights with luggage is hard work. The shower was clean but small
