Room was old and needs refurbishing

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was diverse and delicious.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and upon checking in, we were told that our booking was for 3 nights when in fact we booked for 4 nights. We were then offered a refreshment at the bar while we waited and waited for our room to be ready. A staff member then informed us that the toilet in the room we were staying in was not working, and that we would be put up in a different hotel for the night. Coincidence? Next day, we waited 45 minutes for the transfer to La Maltese in the scorching heat and then complained to the staff there about our experience thus far. This included lack of sleep in the hotel that they put us in (the ac wasn't working well and the temperature in the room remained high). Frustratingly, nothing was done. We were sent to 'our room' with the 'fixed toilet'. An hour or so later as we were trying to get some rest, the ac in the room was making loud and abrupt noises. We complained again and the manager put us in another room (an apartment which was delightful, however did not have a semi private pool as the original room) while the ac was being fixed. Day 3, back in our room and the ac is fixed. Great! The Nespresso machine however isn't working so staff replace it with the neighbors machine. We jump in the semi private pool with our newly arrived neighbours only to find that they are yellow (and their bathers, towels etc) from the dirtiness in the pool. Disgusting! We had seen that it was yellow along the inside concrete of the pool but thought nothing of it. Luckily we weren't in there for long! I also realise that I had left my white dress on the bed from the night before and couldn't go get it. I was assured that they would follow up. Cutting the extremely long story short, the manager was going to reimburse us for our first night stay and despite sending 3 emails, we have NOT heard a response. The dress that I was informed would be followed up with and shipped over to me at the next destination....
