Loved the peace and quiet and the close proximity to Snow Canyon. The bed was saggy and uncomfortable. The room was clean but could have been nicer for the price.
I didn't like that it wasn't family friendly. I love my family and hearing children and i missed hearing children yet they allow barking Dogs. ...makes no sense. It was not quiet, the room above us, they were very noisy. I don't think I will return, and the price was way to high.
This was amazing. 4 stars. Would be 5 star without spa Amy. Amy in the spa was AWFUL and unprofessional but don't let that put you off. All the other staff members especially those in the resort went above and beyond to make my vacation wonderful. Fitness classes were so diverse and the instructors were great. Personal trainers fantastic. Michelle and Amy at the front office were amazing. Marcy was the best concierge ever. The food was better than that of Canyon Ranch or Miraval. the rooms are above average. Only problem was that I called the spa one day to rearrange my massage times because the concierge had double booked me by accident with a massage and kayaking and Amy treated me like a common criminal. I called back later and offered to come in early or later and she was so rigid. It's off-season and it was a Wednesday, so the schedule was wide open. When I spoke to other guests at lunch they agreed that she was rude and unaccomadating. I then spoke to the concierge who realized it was their error. They repaired my schedule and Amy called me. No apology at all. Just lectured me on double booking and cancellation policies. I'm not exaggerating when I say she door to me like I was a 2 year old. I doubt she has worked in an elegant resort before now and I doubt that she will last long here with that attitude in this industry. Otherwise everything was wonderful. Hammocks rock! Amy in the spa
The breakfast was great, the staff was helpful, the price was perfect! The rooms were nothing fancy but it worked well! The hallways and stairways were a little messy and the pool was great but its an indoor and outdoor pool so you could feel the cooler January air blowing in. But the watee was pretty warm.
Amazing swimming pool that connect inside and outside and fantastic complimentary breakfast as well as facilities.
The staff was friendly, and when we let them know about a broken door handle, they fixed it right away. The breakfast was good. When we walked into the hallway leading to our room, we saw cigarette butts right inside the door. The hallway itself was pretty nasty, and we passed pills and other garbage along the way. It was gross, but it was also late at night, and I figured it was just the messes that had been left by guests since the last cleaning. However, when we came back the next night, a lot of the same messes were still there. The door handle in our room wasn't attached at all, and we had to reattach it to leave our room (They did fix this quickly, however, when we brought it to their attention.) There were stains and residue of some kind on the curtains--the kind that made me afraid to touch them. I also took a cold shower both mornings we were there. My husband showered about a half hour after me, and after a while, he did get some hot water, but it was constantly shifting between hot and cold.
The price. We booked early and got a great deal. The staff was very nice and allowed us to check in early and check out late. Our room which had no outside window or natural daylight was stuffy and damp the whole time. The bathroom was awful. Small, outdated, in disrepair and not super clean. Although the pool was fairly nice, the pool deck was dirty, messy with not enough lounge chairs. Our group had to sun bathe on the ground which wasn't very clean.
We have been coming here for years! Love the ammeneties! Indoor - outdoor swimming and hot breakfast are the best!
The breakfast was good and the staff at front desk were very nice. Requested quiet area but it was anything but quiet. It was not as clean as one would expect, don't think the hallways ever get cleaned.
The pool the game area and the quiet after 10pm. The pool looks like its deteriorationg
i loved waling out of the room and having the mountains there. Facing south was good. Breakfast was good. One of the ladies at the desk was rude, arrogant and grouchy! She was disrespectful. Long story....... The people who staying in the room next to us kept trying to get in our room through the access door between the 2 rooms. I kept waiting for them to just walk in our room. The most difficult for me was the rude lady. After traveling all day in the heat and some complications on the trip i just wanted to go to sleep. To check in and have her be such a jerk was hard for me to hold my temper. The girl in the morning was also a joke. No personality and seemed disgusted with anyone who was there. Didn't like her job very well. The lady when we checked in who finally helped us was fine. She was an islander and did her best.
We booked a room at the Red Lion hotel a couple nights before our stay. We had never heard of it before. The red neon lights were different, but all we really cared about was how clean and comfortable our room was. Our room was clean, everything worked well, and though the hotel was packed, it was nice and quiet in our room. Great stay! Wouldn't mind coming here again!
Love the pool area and the ping pong and the billiards. Also the look of this place just screams vacation at you. The staff is also very very helpful and fun. The beds weren't super comfortable and the free breakfast was total garbage food. Well, the waffles were ok but there was a huge line to get one.
Great buffett.. It was dirty..it would be so much nicer if they really cleaned everything!!
Housekeeping left the door to our room wide open. We found it totally open when we came back in the evening. This was most likely because the door was damaged/broken and didn't close properly. Luckily, none of our belongings were stolen, but that was a miracle. The breakfast food was not great and the place felt dirty and run down. It also smelled terrible. We will not stay there again.
Clean. Pleasant. Good value
I loved the decor of the room, I prefer flatter pillows but they were better than most places and I know that most people like fat pillows. I also enjoyed the pool and hot tub was a hair in the bath tub.
Breakfast, swimming pool, staff was friendly, Wi-Fi was horrible was never able to actually use it
room recently remodeled. Looked great. Love the extra tile in the living space, much easier to clean. breakfast staff was really nice, filling drinks for you, asking you if they could get you things. don't even get that when i go to a restaurant half the time. Price was great.
Rooms were nice. Breakfast was great. Pool was closed for remodeling. That was a big reason to book this hotel.
Clean, good breakfast.
The bed was comfortable; the room was a good size for the price; bathroom was fine. Elevator slightly slow; slight smell; entry door late at night took several tries to open.
I love how clean everything is and how much my kids and I love to come here. I hear that they have been changes coming and I hope it doesn't ruin it and make it be something that is not for families to come to.
The pool area was nice, water was heated and fun to play in even in February. Room was decent but beds were a little hard. Pillows were comfortable. Could've been cleaner. The steps leading upstairs were very dirty and gross. Rooms were just okay cleanliness.
Good location, good pool. Walls are not sound proofed quite noisy
Stopped here for a night. Very friendly staff. I booked the wrong date by accident and they still honored the booking. Breakfast was great. Will visit again if I'm in the area.
East access, clean room. Breakfast only so-so. Clerk at desk not very familiar with things to see in St. George.
Breakfast was plentiful, but not that good.
Stayed here before, excellent staff. Awesome place. Only reason I give it a 4 star for location is the roundabout area. But other then that. 5 stars. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. I didn't eat breakfast here this time around but last time I stayed there in 2014, the food was ok.
Location was perfect. No freeway noise but within striking distance to freeway. Food and activities also nearby without much driving. Near grocery stores as well. We did not have the occasion to go to the pool or workout room. However, did have a view of the inner courtyard where the pool was. Families looked to be enjoying themselves immensely. Personally, I don't tend to spend much time at hotels. It serves as a place to sleep and perhaps rest for brief periods between activities. This works well for that. definitely no soundproofing at the door: could hear people in the hall easily. Could hear some pool activity but heavy drapes damped that quite well.
We had a great one night stay here. I was impressed by how friendly all the staff members were and how clean and neat the rooms were too. Great breakfast too. We'll be back!
This hotel had the best breakfasts out of every hotel we stayed at in our two week tour of the southwest. By far. We were in a pet room ( we traveled with our dog) and noticed some pet odor in the room.
Love their pool. Gorgeous palm trees, comfy deck chairs. Warm water. Breakfast was meh. A little bland and dried out.
Very nice staff and relaxed atmosphere. Would visit again. Good breakfast too!
Complimentary breakfast. Customer service. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Dinner at their Cliffside Restaurant. The view! Loved everything about this hotel and their staff
Great location, with a great view of the city. Luxurious rooms are modern and clean. The free room service delivered and fresh made breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Cinnamon streusal, fresh maid parfait, and orange juice was delicious. The staff was very professional and polite. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in St. George.
Beautiful view and ultra comfortable!
Clean, comfortable, newer, easy to find. Highway noise. Should be fine if you aren't on the end next to the highway.
Location was good Bathroom was dirty with hair from previous guests on the fixtures.
The morning breakfast was simply the best we've ever had almost anywhere that we've stayed. The staff that prepared the breakfast did an amazing job and the variety and quality of the food and the service was just outstanding. They're to be congratulated! Best Breakfast in St. George and many, many other places that we've stayed. Thanks!!
Friendly staff, very good breakfast, reasonable rates.
Very Comfortable with the conviences of home. Sitting table/work station, reading/sitting couch with divider to sleeping area, lighting was good, bathroom has very nice vanity/mirrored area with eye make up remover cloth & toiletries, refrigerator that is empty clean & available to use( not packed with a bunch of expensive items to rip u off.) Microwave & coffee, pool ,guiet. Most of all the breakfast was the best of all the places we stayed. I will look for clarion suites to stay at from now on on my trips. Thank you Just for feedback - We have a( gluten free member in our family that has stomach issues. Can't have a lot of foods due to seasonings, wheat, flour, etc, etc limited on type of food can eat. Types of acceptable foods boiled eggs, bananas, corn tortias, cheerios, ketchup without high frutoses to put on potatoes. : ) thank you a nice stay.
It was reasonably priced. Beds felt worn. Location close to freeway.
We forgot two hats and they were nice and held them for us till we came back two days later. The room was dirty there was sand and skittles in a corner and a wet used washcloth in the bathroom, a coffee stain in the side table i was disappointed.
The breakfast was phenomenal! The room was great!
It was quite. Having a maid that doesn't speak English. So when returning to the room, clean towels and coffee were both sitting on the desk top. Nothing was cleaned, dirty towels on the floor and beds not made. Had to go down to the front desk to let them know.
Great place!!!! Highly recommend it!!!
Indoor pool, extensive breakfast, clean, spacious, and comfortable room and bathroom, friendly and helpful staff Wish the exercise facilities were bigger
clean two pools
The facilities and grounds were clean, well maintained and up to date. The air conditioner was very noisy. Each time it came on it woke me up.
Staff, cleanliness, breakfast Nothing we didn't like
Comfortable , handy hotel.Good motel at US level standard
Enjoyed the room, the beds, the breakfast. Traveling from San Diego and this hotel was a delightful surprise. Front desk recommended George's restaurant down the street and we had a nice late dinner. We would definitely stay there again.
proximity to nat'l parks room was warm and stuffy a/c was very loud and only worked on high
The rooms are clean, quiet, and in very good taste with their up to date décor. I also like the size of the flat screen tv, as well as having both a fridge and a microwave. The beds are also comfortable and there is always a good supply of clean towels. For the money, it is my favorite place to stay when visiting St George on business. The hotel is also in a good central location for my business purposes.
Pillow top mattresses. Pools. Jacuzzi. Rooms have fridge and microwaves!!! Nothing
We were impressed with the low price and high quality. The we used the newly rennivated fitness room. The breakfast was had more options than expected. The pillows were hard!
No COLD water.
Friendly staff. Cleanliness of property inside and out. Convenient area for pets from ground floor room. HVAC made rattling noise when operating. A bit annoying when trying to fall asleep. Also, no comforter or extra blanket for the bed, so necessary to increase the heat, so the HVAC had to run more than I would normally have set for temperature if I had a blanket.
The location is excellent and close to alot of things. Staff was friendly and the hotel was relatively clean. Comfortable place to stay. Just being picky but the sitting area for breakfast was small and not much room for kids and others to get their food. The Wi-Fi was really spotty and unreliable but other than that, everything else was fantastic.
Location We have consistently stayed in St. George at the Ramada Inn. We have found that each year, the breakfast experience is getting worse. This year, in addition to a poor food selection, the breakfast staff was rude.
convienent to freeway and quiet badly needs an update. horrible pillows and bed
Perfekt breakfast !!!
They had great breakfast food, they were clean & Friendly
Was very clean, the bathroom was dated. The breakfast was really great. The staff very helpful. Enjoy staying there each visit.
Great location, great price. Bathroom was a little dated. They only had one guy on the breakfast, and he was having trouble keeping up.
Beds were very uncomfortable, towels were stained, beds were far away from bathroom, noisy at night, our room didn't get cleaned on Saturday we had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels Saturday night.... very inconvenient. :(
Clean enogh we had no concern with our one year old plqying on the floor. Close to the freeway qnd a walmart next door It cost a little more than I usually like to spend on a room. I wish it was closer to th center of town
Friendly staff, good bed, nice pool , good breakfast
Well run. Location was good. Lots of nice places around. Good area. The breakfast was excellent. The environment was the same. I rather found it all good.
Walls seemed thin, we could hear the kids next door to us until midnight and then again at 7am.
Everything was as expected, clean and comfortable Toilet and ice machine across the hall ran all night long.
Clean, well-maintained and good location
Close to everything in St. George, friendly staff, clean facilities, nice breakfast.
Staff very nice - helpful. Fulfilled last minute requests on res made 2 days ahead. Nice room. A little tough to enter/exit - busy street. Challenge to get a good view, and freeway on 1 side, busy street on the other side.
It's a bit pricey but always a good stay
Room was clean and attractive. Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet. Couldn't have asked for more. Air conditioning fan was a little loud, overwhelmed TV volume.
Air condoned too loud. Only had one speed high.
Convenient Got in at midnight and had to wait a half hour for someone to find the pack n play. I called ahead to reserve it and they said it was in our room already but it was not. Kids were wide awake by the time they found it. Also got stuck by a door to the parking lot that is extremely loud. It woke us up all night. It woke my daughter up at 4am and was so loud with people coming in and out of the hotel that we just got up and left. Stayed there a year ago and it was great. This stay wasn't great
The hotel was clean, the room was clean, most of the front desk clerks were courteous, the beds were very comfortable. Although I didn't use them, the the pool and workout room seemed to be decent. The breakfast was ok, as I would expect, with a few different options for breakfast. This is a great location, right off of I-15, which allows to get anywhere in St. George in a matter of minutes. It was well worth the cost. Overall it was a good hotel and I enjoyed my stay. The price is high, but it is on par with the other hotels in the area. I don't think the eggs for breakfast were from fresh eggs. Probably from a carton, powdered, or something like that. There's not much I can complain about with this hotel.
The breakfast was great. Other comments have said that the pool is cold, but we didn't find it so (in the end of Feb). The hotel is close to everything and once we were there, we never spent more than 15 min in the car. The only issue we had was noisy guests and the corridor wall soundproofing didn't seem great.
The room was amazing! It looked newly referbished and smelled like fresh paint. Everything was really clean. The staff anticipated most needs, and gave us a run down of everything including which elevator to use. The staff didn't tell us the check out time. For people who travel a lot, it might seem like common sense, but for a young couple who hasn't really stayed in too many hotels, it would have been nice to be told. It was good that we read the guest book or we would never have known.
The room was large. Also we had an awesome view Only draw back was too many kids in pool. Other than that very nice and would definitely go back
The room size. The breakfast is barely edible. The design overall is 1970. The Internet was out for a day and no one knew how to fix it!
I have stayed at many Comfort Inns before and I like the brand. I came in at 10:38 at night and it seems that the front desk wanted more information than what is usual considering the room was already paid for. For example they wanted my car's license number. On the previous night, I stayed at the Antlers Hilton in Colorado and paid for parking. The check-in was half the time than checking in here. The air condition motor was SO LOUD that it kept waking me up at night. At nine o'clock in the morning I was getting a call on my cell phone reminding me to check out and somebody knocking on my door. WTF, check out was 11 am.
The room was large and clean, nice furnishings, comfortable bed, good breakfast, convenient location. The only curtains were privacy curtains which made the room very dark during the day. Some sort of sheer curtains would be nice, especially on the first floor.
The appearance was nice and located right off the freeway. Close to the convention center if that is your purpose. The room had cobwebs in the corners. The beds had this adjustable setting to soften the beds which didn't seem to work; so it was like sleeping on a rock. They also don't honor Hilton Rewards if booked via third and inquired about this policy went unanswered to the general manager.
They took such good care of me, the first room had an issue that the handyman hadn't finished yet so they upgraded my room to one on the top floor. That night the people staying in the room adjacent to mine had an issue with the volume of my TV. SO the next morning when I was getting a delicious breakfast the front deskman asked how I was doing. I explained the noise situation and he found me a room and then offered to help move my luggage. Seriously top notch service, I would highly recommend this Beautiful hotel to anyone looking to live the high life. My only complaint is that I couldn't spend more time. I was treated like royalty.
staff was friendly, hotel and room were clean. Pool was heated. no refreshments in the lobby
The staff was excellent, but the room could of been better cleaned The corners of the Floors were filthy
The hotel is clean and the staff is courteous but not especially helpful. The hotel is often swamped with overnight visitors on the way to a national park or other destination or for convention visitors as the convention center is next door. I did not like the impersonal way a guest is treated nor their lack of interest in the welfare of their guests.
Loved the clean, spacious rooms.
Staff was ultra friendly and helpful Shower was good My room was dirty in two ways: 1) There were bread crumbs on the bed sheets, which makes me think the bed sheets were not changed at all 2) There was brown residue in the toilet when I first opened it up to use it
For the price, absolutely cannot be beat. I've stayed at 5-star hotels that have nothing on this. From the arrival, the staff was friendly and helpful, but it only got better. Private garage kept the car out of the heat. The casitas are beautiful and modern and complete. You couldn't stay closer to Tuacahn, our destination. Open the doors to the fairway and the pond and the ducks and .... The ambience was great. The last night, we had noisy neighbors. It was surprising, after days of seclusion and privacy, to think we really were right next to someone else.
First class resort, the room was very well appointed with the attention to detail unsurpassed. We left a loaf of bread on the counter and after the maids had been to our room there was a toaster left on the counter, there was no toaster before, we looked for one, we didn't ask for one either. The golf course was as great as the rest of the property, greens were running 11.7 on the Stimpmeter and the views are awesome.
A groups of us spent 3 days in St George. We were all very impressed with the clean and modern rooms. The staff was very professional and polite. The price is also great. Highly recommend.
We actually like everything at this place, the ubication, very clean, we have everything we need. Refrigerator, microway, table,. But the most we like is the you feel like home. We really enjoy it! I defenelly recomend this Chalet place!
It was comfortable. Super comfy beds and linens There was a microwave and fridge as we expected in the kitchenette. But there were no dishes or silverware. We ended up needing to buy a Pyrex measuring cup so we could make our coffee (pour over) and oatmeal.
Hard to find anything good to say, but maybe the price is reasonable. 1. Room is dirty, had weird smell, and saw at least one bug. 2. Parking spaces are tiny 3. Access is from one side of the street, meaning you have to cut the block to get in from the main areas. 4. Sink had no stopper. 5. Room had no coffee pot 6. Room had a stove, but no dishes or utensils 7. Furniture is pathetic. 8. Bed sucks 9. WIFI is non-existent
Clean rooms, kitchenette, basic amenities, friendly staff.
Great location right downtown, super nice staff, large rooms with kitchenette and couch. Pretty good deal for the price. The room smelled of cleaning products, I think the cleaning staff went a little overboard with pine sol. I guess it's good that they cleaned the rooms. We had a baby crawling on the floor and she picked up a lot of gross black dirt from the floor, so they weren't doing a great job of cleaning the carpet. There was a fold-out bed in the couch, but a dresser was located in front of this couch so you couldn't actually pull it out. What's the point if you can't actually use it? IT also didn't have sheets or look like it had been cleaned (ever), so I got the impression that they didn't expect anyone to actually use the fold-out bed. It would have been nice to be able to use it if we could have. Also the TV was very small and oriented in a weird location relative to the bed.
The way the room was set up was cozy and both beds had a privacy feel. Bathroom area was clean and elegant. Carpets were new and clean. Beds were kind of hard.
I loved the full kitchen in the room. Saves money on going out (not much in St george anyway). You have to bring your own kitchenware though. It's also just a 5 minute drive to some pretty good bouldering too.
the proxcimity to shopping and restaraunts, the friendly staff and the great value
Good location, many place to eat around there. 3 tables for the so called continental breakfast - you will have to sit with others food is toast, jam cereal, imitation eggs Hotel is old and it shows its age, bath room not so clean things are pealing etc rusty clot hangers etc If you wake up after 11:00 am as i did the maid service will be gone and no chance for a clean room.
Convenient, clean, quiet. Hard to find.
Noticed most of these are right next to highway with ample parking and nearby food places. Towing a vehicle means looking for ease of parking.
Very clean! And a convenient location
Close to everything. Freeway right there and shopping close. More fruit at the breakfast bar would have been nice.
Above average continental breakfast for a two star motel. I eat very healthy so I was glad to find healthy options like fresh cut fruit, oatmeal and yogurt. It's right off the highway near a pretty red rock formation. The lobby is well appointed. The bed was comfortable. While conveniently located off the highway, it's not that close to Zion, if that's your destination. It's not walkable to anything of interest. My husband said the waffles were nothing special.
The rooms were clean and the grounds as well. Nice staff but this is an older facility that is kept up.
It was a good distance from the Grand Canyon north face, as well as Zion and Bryce canyons. The free breakfast was good and had waffles, hard boiled eggs, fruit, cereal, juice, etc, as well as a different entree each morning, we were there Sunday and Monday and had biscuits and gravy and ham and omelets. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I will stay there again. Nothing.
Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Will stay here again.
Our family suite was HUGE. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some of the fixtures could have been updated, but the ones there were still well cared for.
I had originally reserved a few days in a cheaper room but they had overbooked the cheaper rooms, so they upgraded me to a King Deluxe room for no extra cost. I couldn't have been happier with the good news. It definitely made my trip better knowing I had a great room to come home to at night. There was nothing I disliked. The only thing that could possibly be an issue is that they start house keeping early in the morning (which was completely fine)
Impeccably clean rooms
