The hotel far exceeded our expectations for what we paid. The hotel appeared to be very new. The room was comfortably & attractively furnished and had a balcony. We enjoyed having drinks and dinner at the 5th floor restaurant which had a spectacular view of the harbor across the street. It was very convenient to walk to shops and the ship that we were about to board for a cruise. The hotel staff was very professional and friendly. The food was very good and attractively presented. My only small quibble is that the salad seemed to have been prepared earlier and kept in the refrigerator rather than prepared immediately before the meal. But this is a minor quibble!
The price is so good The smell of the room is not good
The view from the balcony, the very nice hotel staff who know enough english to guide you everywhere you want to go. Good and comfortable beds. Very close to the sea, town center and shopping area. Some very nice restaurants and cafe bar near, on the way to town center the room air conditioner only works if the balcony room is closed and during nights in august it is hot if balcony room open and a bit cold even on 25-26 air conditioner
Location, breakfast, dinner
Almost nothing Excellent one star Hotel. Pity it is classified as four star
Honestly, there wasn't much that I enjoyed during my stay at the Grand Hotel Kurdoglu. The proximity to the beach was the best thing going for the hotel. There were insects in the room. The 'suite' they gave us was located on the 4th floor of 5... fortunately, for us, there is a pool on the roof... Directly above the room. We heard chairs screeching on the ceiling all day/evening and splashing, etc. The air conditioning was insufficient for the suite. The wireless internet cost 5 tl for an hour and is only available in the lobby. It also cost 5 tl to make a local phone call (we were only told of this after we were offered the front desk phone to make a local call). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.
Accused unfairly of not vacating the room despite previous approval to extend our stay. One receptionist was very rude in contrast to the main one who was excellent.
Very limited choice of TV chanels - would be better to have satellite receiver in the room. Reception gave misleading advices regarding exchange rate of Euro-US dollars-Turkish Lira. Bar at the swimmimg pool on the roof was not in opertaion
Easy to get to and the terrace where dinner and breakfast are served has a beautiful panoramic view of the Aegean.
Personel was very nice, food was excellent
comfortable beds food. not much selection
We had a quiet and cold room so we slept well. Small parking that was already full so we had to park to other place for extra money. Food was horror, no other hotel had so horrible food in Turkey, impossible to eat at dinner, breakfast was a little better. Very old furniture in the room, hotel really needs a renovation. We have booked for this only to be able to see Efes.
It is close to the city center. 1. In spite of the announcements at the web site, there is no internet available at the rooms. 2. Rooms do not have a regrigerator. 3. After booking, hotel management attempts to charge additional fees for a room with sea view. 4. Kitchen provide bad quality food, without any alterations throughout the week.
Good view, on the beach, can see Pigeon Island, fair rate. I think it is a not very new hotel which request some modernizations. Very simple rooms, poor bathrooms, the smell is not so god, something usual for Turkey at 3 stars.
Location to beach and town Reception staff very surly
Location is good, right in the middle of the beach and our room is facing the sea and opposite to the beach. The hotel is very old, a lot of salt damped on the wall and our toilet is leaking. The breakfast can be skipped as very poor. Fly everywhere in the restaurant. The staff was not helpful.
The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was excellent and the hotel met all of our needs.
The view in the morning was great. I also liked the coffee at the breakfast. It is old. Two separated beds as if we were in the communism. Old furniture (an antique non functional radio built in the bedside), door not closing very well. Noisy. Pool is like a bigger bath tub.
Easy access, quality of the bed Old equipments, small room, poor light, very noisy (even with closed windows), cheap breakfast
Great location and value for money!
I believe this is the best hotel in city centre Kusadasi. Everything in near the hotel and the view is amazing. I wish i stayed more than 3 days to enjoy more... no problems whatsoever.
The room service was very quick along with the check-in and out process. Because we are American picking the correct amount of beds was different from what we are used to. We got twin beds instead of a queen or king.
We were pleasantly surprised by the design of the hotel (it was just renovated we acknowledged). It seemed new, comfortable and modern. The restaurant (breakfast) on the upper floor had really nice views and every morning, there was taken good care of the breakfast. Our compliments for this!
The hotel was renovated last year. Good position in city center, nice sea view, big windows, good interiors the fridge was not working, and it was not only in my room. The wi-fi connection was bad or out at all.
The view from the room is amazing The furniture is old, also the carpets
Friendly reception Shower - curtain do not prevent the floor from getting wet. Stairs - carpets old and dirty.
Good placement of the hotel, very nice view from the hotel room (to the sea and port), good wireless internet connection in the lobby. The hotel description on booking.com was accurate and there was no bad surprise regarding the rooms. If you take a room with the view to the sea you might also experience the bad side of this: meaning that near the hotel is a pub with loud music until 3-4 am. But for us was ok because the balcony window is sound proof (take into consideration that we've stayed on the 4'th floor)
We got an excellant price for our stay here and a great balcony view of the sea. The staff were extremly helpful in setting up tours for us.
The seaview. The old furniture, and the non fluent hot water.
