We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Danezis - it is a family run hotel and the whole family were absolutely wonderful - so welcoming and friendly. Our room was very clean and the air conditioning a god send! Our balcony was lovely and had super views across to Fira and also out to the sea on the east coast of the island. The pool is fabulous - clean and well maintained with plenty of sun loungers available too. We spent most of our time relaxing here and loved it! The hotel is conveniently positioned in the middle of the island, so it's easy and quick to travel everywhere from Perissa to Oia, so long as you have a car / bike, which are fairly cheap to hire (approx 20 euros p/day for a quad bike). We would definitely advise that hiring a bike or car is key to staying at the hotel, only because there is no catering available and so eating out is a must (if you want hot food!) - Messaria is only a 10-15 minute walk away, but the choice of restaurants is quite limited if you have to visit there every night of your holiday.
Fint poolområde, lungt läge men ändå mycket centralt.
Central location: It is close to the bus depo and town centre but very quiet (at least in our room during our stay). Convenience: There is a supermarket across the street from the hotel, it is really important to have bottled water in large quantity all the time in Santorini, because the tap water is not recommended for drinking. Size of the room: Our room is large enough even by North American standards. Breakfast room: It is large and bright by the swimming pool. You can also sit under the embrellas of the pool. Not enough furniture. There's a desk plus two small night tables, this is all the furnitures in our room besides the beds and the luggage rack. Like many european hotels, the bathroom is very small.
Staff was very friendly. Very close to town. Nice balcony. Bed was too hard. Pool was freezing!
very friendly staff, always smiling and very happy to help when needed :)
The location (2 mins walk from the main square in Fira) was great! The room was basic but cosy and had a nice feel to it. The staff was lovely! Also the free wi-fi was a nice thing, even 4* hotels in Greece don't always provide this. At the price we got it for it was an absolute bargain.
Wonderful hotel staff. Great location...lovely jacuzzi. Would definately stay here again.
In Summer Time Hotel I like the most the helpfull staff, the modern decoration of the room, the clleanliness of the room and its location clode to all things needed like bus sto, supermarket, taxi station, night clubs, restaurants, fast food, travel angencies and all these a capital offers. I surely recommend this hotel either for family vations or for friends vacations.
Nej.
The location and the view of the vulcano from their pool was spectacular. The personal of the hotel was very friendly and tried to do their best for a pleasant stay. First, our reservation overlaped with other reservation so in the last two nights they had to move us to another hotel. The good part was that the second hotel was nicer, at least the room and the service was amazing, just that it was located in Oia. So at the end we were happy after this incident. Another issue that we had was that at Cosmopolitan hotel we reserved a standard room, and it was sooo small that u couldn´t even move ( around 12m 2 all room with bathroom). In the first night I fell that I don´t have enough air in the room, but at the end I got used with it. So if u truly want to enjoy ur stay book a suite.
Convenient location if you want to be central to Fira (not the nicest place on the island though!) We were upgraded and treated v well. Fantastic view and pool It's a bit too in the middle of it all to feel really relaxing. It's all very luxurious, but there's something of a soul missing from it (as with many of the 'luxury' hotels in Santorini
The position of the hotel, amazing... and not many steps for Santorini as my husband has knee problems Did not have a private balcony, our room was next to reception, a bit noisey in morning with staff walking past talking.
This is an awesome hotel, we were greeted upon entrance with champagne and friendly staff. The host has many recommendations for entertainment and restaurants! And of course the pool is one of the best places to sit and relax in all of Santorini! Thanks to everyone at the Cosmo for a great stay.
staff were lovely and the setting and views were stunning could not get internet access in our room
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the views from the pool area are stunning and you are right in the centre of town, but still away from the hustle and bustle.
Theoxenia hotel is located right in the heart of the fira city. It is amongst the restaurants and the hustle and bustle of the town can be felt all the time. The amazing caldera view from the terrace is spectacular. The breakfast that was served every morning was amazing as well. The hotel offers all that is needed and offers great value. Although, the hotel does not have a pool, but you can use its sister hotel, Aressana, for this purpose. The pool at Aressana is quite fascinating and very relaxing. The accessibility to all the shops and the bus station, as well as the taxi station, was crucial to us, as is to any vacation. For that Theoxenia offers the best. The bus station is 2 minutes away as well as the taxi stand. The reception is not 24 hours and at times you have to wait a little to speak to the staff. Usually that is not needed as the rooms have everything that you need.
The location is very convenient to tour around the Fira town. The shared porch is an ideal place to watch a sunset falling beind the vaolcano. The breakfast was enjoyable. But if would have been perfect if some fruits were offered. The bathroom faucet was shaking. I don't understand why the hotel staff couldn't find a better time to fix it but wait until the afternoon when we have to stay in the room for friends to visit us.
breakfast was great, hotel staff very friendly and accomodating The bathtub was leaking very badly, however staff was aware and provided several extra towels to help with the leak.
The location of the hotel in the centre of Fira is excellent. The fact that the hotel has wifi is great as well. The hotel is located on the main street that runs along the caldera, but because it is on the other side of the street, the lower floor rooms don't have sea view. The man behind the counter was not very welcoming. He was trying to be polite but it didn't come naturally to him. I found he was stressed and that he created an uncomfortable atmosphere instead of a relaxed environment.
We really enjoyed breakfast served in our room in the morning. I loved the fact that the Hotel stays open in the winter and they had the central heating on, since the nights we stayed there (we had to stay one more night on the island) was rainy and bit cold. The location is on the heart of Fira, by the cliffside with sunset views. I did not really like the fact that the balconies had old-warn out chairs, but they said they are ready for new one's for next summer. Nice, small and cosy B'nB, perect for a few days stay. Thank you Chris for your attendance and hospitality. We had to wait for couple of hours to have shower one day since the city hall had to do maintainanca in some central water pipes. The hotel's back up system had only hot water running, so we had to wait for the cold water to balance.
The location! But please ask for the Caldera view. The breakfast delivered in the room. Access to their luxury partner hotel Arressana! Way too expensive for the quality of the room. No renovation for the last 20 years...the bathroom was horrible.
good location, good continental breakfast even for our EUR180 / night without seaview, not good value of money.
Breakfast on the terrace Lots of stairs
The location is convenient and good to enjoy the sunset.
We've had a wonderful stay in this fantastic and hotel for our honeymoon. It's just located on the cliff of Firostefani and very close to that famous church on most of the postcards. The view from the private balcony is absolutely amazing and we watch the sunset everyday there. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are full equipped in the room and also the design is quite...
Amerisa Suites was amazing. Our favorite place. Petros picked us up from the ferry and was incredibly nice and helpful. We had some problems booking a future ferry ride, and he helped us get through the situation. George from the front desk was extremely accommodating, and answered any question we ever had. There was free internet at the hotel as well. We were upgraded to a honeymoon suite with a private hottub, balcony and swimming pool at no extra charge!
The people who ran the hotel (I believe George Kalfagian and another young lady) were extremely helpful and kind. George drove me to my meeting the first day because I was lost and was late. I had cut short my visit because of travel changes and they allowed me to check out early. The facilities for a quick shower and toilet use after checking out is excellent. I will use this hotel again and will recommend it to friends.
We enjoyed our stay at Amerisa Suites, although we requested a room with a view, it actually faced a back street. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, even if we weren't in it much. Breakfast was enough and the gentleman who served the breakfast, showed us to our room and seemed to do everything else was very helpful. We hired a 4 wheel motorbike from the hotel but in retrospect, we would have done it ourselves to get a newer, better bike. The brochure said they supplied the room with a bottle of water daily but they didn't. we hired a motor bike from here and although it got us around, we could've got a better one ourselves.
Staff, comfortable room, breakfast. It was on the main road. Noisy.
The staff are very nice. The location is ok, even though we must say it's quite noisy as near busy street and they have very thin wall, but it's fine for us.
The service is excellent. The owner kindly upgraded our 1x double bedroom and 1x triple bedroom to suite and it was totally amazing! I like the complimentary wine offered and placed nicely on the desk when you stepped into your room. The view was excellent. There is a small path across the mainroad towards the city centre which take less than 10 minutes to reach. However, it is a bit steep for old
They upgraded us to a suite with no charge, since it was our honeymoon. The room was nice and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good, and the complimentary bottle of wine as a welcome was very appreciated.
The hotel was very good for the price. The pool was good and it was only a short walk to the centre of Oia. The staff were very friendly and even came and picked us up when we couldn't find the hotel. Breakfast was not included in the price. There was not map for the hotel on the website so it was difficult to find the hotel when we got there.
Great hotel, albeit a bit smoky for our tastes (but all of Greece is). Could walk to Fira center easily. Room was nice and clean. We stayed in the 4 bed hotel and everyone fit comfortably.
the free upgrate to some better rom you cant realax or sit outside of the room or on the pool site because the hotel is locatet in some 180 grad turn from the mainstreat who the nois from cars and motorbikes gos 24 hours. If you have wet feets the floor get dirt marks because of the dust from the trafik
Hard to beat for the price point. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Highlights: 1) The staff: Never saw anyone at the hotel who WASN'T smiling. They went above and beyond to provide relevant and useful advice, arrange any excursions, and improve the stay. 2) The facilities: The common areas were beautiful, the room was spacious and comfortable. 3) The convenient location: The hotel is located across from a couple shops (including a grocery store) and just down the street from the nightlife and tourist attractions- without being so close that you have to hear the bass of the clubs all night (unless you are into that!) Santorini is renowned for its panoramic views of the beach- this location does not provide that. Also, the rooms are not sound proof so if you are a light sleeper it could be an issue.
it was fearly cheap and there was a super market closely. there was a small pool but i did not use it. the bathroom was in good condition there was no hot water unless we asked for it. the towels offered were really small and there was no reception
Cant fault it.
kind stuff, no problem at all, everything was perfect
The staff were amazıngly helpful, they helped wıth all our travel requırements whılst we were ın Santorını and made us feel lıke we were at home.
We got to Santorini early so we booked our stay here last minute before heading onto our final hotel in Fira, and we wished we had stayed here the whole time! Hotel itself is beautiful with all the amenities of luxury boutiques, amazing caldera views. The staff was also fantastic, made us feel so pampered and relaxed, and they were super helpful with giving us tips for traveling around Santorini. Loved the intimacy of the small boutique hotel, poolside was almost never occupied and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Restaurant is also amazing, we had dinner in their beautiful dining room (again, had the whole room to ourselves), and their octopus left us craving it for the rest of our trip. This hotel was also way cheaper than our Fira hotel, amazing value for your money. The only reason I can think of is that they are slightly away from central Fira town, but with a car rental which is pretty necessary for getting around the island anyway, we were very happy driving the extra 10 minutes and saving $200 per night. I almost don't want to give away this gem, but the great staff deserve such a raving review! Location is 10-15 minutes drive from central Fira town and off the main walking path that connects all the hotels and restaurants, but we didn't mind because it saved us $200+! Plus it meant more privacy because no tourists could walk by your window.
