Price of hotel did not match value. It was way too expensive. I have lived in Montreal for 55 years until 2005 and visit it frequently. I originally chose this location because it was near the central bus terminal, but paying $160.(incl. taxes) for one single room was way too much for this modest establishment.
The professional altitude of staff. Late cleaning of the rooms.
Helpful staff, clean rooms, ample space, we were very pleased The hotel didn't have info from Kayak when we arrived. They were able to find the reservation under another site name after a while of checking. Smoother process for them to have the name shown on the client's reservation confirmation would be helpful
breakfast, service, location, equipment in room location is very good for the old port, but the region of crescent street close by is a bit seedy
The continental breakfast was great! Hot, fresh croissants and baguette, cereal, milk, juice. The bed and sofa bed were both very comfortable. The 1 br suite uncomfortably small with three people. The living room area with pullout couch and dining table feels a little cramped, especially when the bed is pulled out. Bedroom and bathroom are fine, though.
Great location, nice parking nearby, friendly staff and easy to access Montreal. I love staying here and have stayed here 3 times prior. The breakfast is limited but its totally fine because crepe shops and little brunch spots are within walking distance.
Tiny & tidy Too loud. either ac or window open. rooms are very basic.
Amazing location. Great staff. They were helpful when we needed directions. Our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was very convenient. Some very minor points, no shampoo or conditioner in the rooms and fresh fruit would be nice with breakfast. But these are fairly minor points.
I liked the location to the Latin Quarter, Old Montreal and the Village which I spent most of my time. the length of time to get stove in kitchen to be repaired and not providing microwave.
Clean hotel with great location-- about 10 minutes walking from Old Montreal and 2 minutes to Rue St. Catherine. Kitchenette was clean had everything you could need. The hotel had poor WiFi. Though we reported it to the concierges frequently, we finally got in touch with the manager who apologized for the poor internet service. Since even our emails couldn't load (and they advertise as being a hotel for working professionals), they agreed to put us up in their sister hotel which had better WiFi for the remainder of our trip. Their assistance and concern made this a positive experience. Plus, they assured it the WiFi was to be fixed in the coming month if we wanted to return.
The place was really sketchy. From some blankets that smelled like puke to not having a in room safe when the website says it does. I only needed 1 night parking since someone was taking my car back but he charged me for 3 nights...
The bathroom was nice. Terrible service at checkin, the manger tried to change my room for no reason afterwards. The beds were uncomfortable and the rooms were not aesthetically pleasing, not to mention the chewed gum on the wall in my room.
Cheap price A lot of noise, from outside, but also it seems like the walls were paper-thin, we could hear everything - from people talking in adjacent rooms or the hallway. Hard to fall asleep in all that noise. The bed was in bad shape, missing a leg in one corner so my feet would dip to one side. Mattress not a true king, just two twins pushed together. We could hear a weird grinding noise that came from a panel in our room, some electical problem that didn't feel safe at all!! Not going back there.
Great location to nearby metro. Lobby and hallways looked nice but rooms are extremely old and dated. Furniture and fixtures look to be from the 80s. Dirty carpet. Wifi didn't work in room.
It's a nice family hotel close to the old port Had a bad start, when we got to the hotel our room was given to some other ppl, reception said that they made a mistake don't know how that is possible without proper confirmation of names and details. Had to settle for Something different not what was booked.
Went to Montreal for the F1 races, so the Lord Berri hotel was perfect, walking distance to the events in Montreal and next to the train station to take me to the race track. It's a little old and in need of updating, but it's on it's way because they had signs posted that the Marriot was going to take over, let's hope that's a good thing.
The location is prime for any traveler. Right by old Montreal, grey hound station and metro. Rooms are dated, bed uncomfortable and restaurant downstairs not appealing.
Great Location Dingy, smelly rooms Almost got car towed while unloading bags
Location was amazing Wifi didn't work in the room . Rooms were outdated and needed some work
Great hotel and staff. Beds were comfortable, rooms very clean, water pressure in the shower was great and room temperature controls perfect. Wifi was free but terribly slow and there wasn't a gym
Staff was courteous Parking was limited.
Convenient location - near to Old City, Chinatown and Latin Quarter. Near to Metro UQAM.
Clean and large room
It was very comfortable and the breakfast was quite good.
Extremely polite and helpful staff. Clean and large rooms. Close to the centre of Montreal and close to a airport shuttle service. The area is safe, walked home at 1pm without a worry. Nice breakfast area, included in price. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again when in Montreal next. No wi-fi in rooms, however if you have a laptop and can plug in, there is free internet. Also, if like me you only have a mobile device, there is 2 free computers near lobby. I tried to book again, however sold out, which goes to show the hotel is in demand!
Excelent room with lots of space, breakfast was great.
Hotel really needs some attention. The lobby is not welcoming and the stairs leading up to the hotel are uneven and slanted. The rooms are an excellent stay for families . Kitchen is great. Just really needs a bit of updating really. Breakfast is good as well and close to old montreal which is great for walking.
Awesome staff Awesome location Needs a little work, but great rooms with kitchenette, perfect for family!
Room was clean and had a kitchenette which was very handy as I do not like to eat out all the time when I am attending a conference. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful. One morning I went for breakfast and there was no room in the dining room. The staff assisted me to pack up a breakfast to go so that I got to the conference on time. My suite had a strange layout where the beds were in the same room as the kitchenette and there was a separate living room with a door. It felt like the furnishings should be reversed, with the beds in the separate room and the living room furniture in the room attached to the kitchenette. It was a bit strange sleeping in the same room as the fridge.
I phoned the hotel three days before my arrival. They didn't have any record of my booking. By the time I did the second booking, the hotel was full. Needless to say that I didn't enjoy your services and don't expect to be billed for the hotel since they didn't have any reservation in my name!
Excellent location, walking distance to just about everywhere you would want to go. Staff was great. Rooms aren't totally modern like picture indicates, but good for the price. Tried to find off-site parking for cheaper, but with red light district just around the corner decided to spend the $ a night.
I really liked the location in Montreal near the old town and waterfront, and near the Metro stations to get to the rest of the island. The parking was fine and I felt my car was secure. The kitchen in the suite was much better than anticipated.
We stayed here in May despite some doubt because of some of the previous reviews. Well the place was perfect for us. Our unit was a mini apartment on the 13th floor facing the big street Rene Levesque that the hotel is on. The views of the city were great! Including the thousands of protesting students that passed in front for over an hour and a half. The room was split into four parts, a bedroom with a big closet, writing desk and air conditioning unit, the good sized bathroom, a small kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, dishwasher, toaster, dishes and ample counter with breakfast stools and an adjoining living room area with lamps, a couch, coffee table and a big flat panel HD telvision. All was clean and tastefully done. The hotel had free wifi, a business center with computers and printers, a pretty good snack bar on the honor system, a laundry room with free washers and dryers, an excercise room and underground parking. There was a grocery store two blocks away and sin...
We enjoyed our stay. We go to Montreal often and would definitely stay at this hotel again.
This was a nice hotel for the price. Great location and easy to get to.
My husband & I visit Montreal frequently and for the past 5 years, we have attended the annual Canadian Grand Prix races, cringing at the increase in hotel prices that occur for this particular weekend. I'm happy to report that our 3-night stay at the Candlewood Suites was fantastic & impressive! I would describe the price as 'BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK'. We paid $142/night Cdn (taxes in) for the three nights. We stayed in a Queen Studio that included a stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and 4-cup coffee maker. The suite was L-shaped making us feel like we had a bit of privacy for the bedroom & it included 2 large TV's. The bedroom TV had a DVD player attached to it. A clock radio was missing from the bedside table but one phone call to the Front Desk resulted in a prompt delivery of this. The suite was clean, included 2 closets (small front hall closet & large bedroom closet). There were 2 dressers (one in bedroom, other used as TV stand in family room area). The underground ...
BED BUGS. DIRTY. AVOID. THERE WERE BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!
The hotel is in a very good location- you can walk to Chinatown and the Old City with little difficulty. The staff at this hotel was incredible and very friendly! They didn't have the room we requested available, so they gave us a free upgrade without any questions. The rooms are awesome! Very clean and very comfortable. Great stay!
Room was clean, spacious and with a comfortable bed. Pillow were not usual flat hotel pillows...nice touch. Service was excellent. After 7 years of travel to Montreal, we have finally found a hotel that is up to our standards with breaking the bank.
Suite was better than expected, very clean, but still pretty basic. The super-nice staff, terrific location, and reasonable price are the reasons to stay here, if you want a suite hotel. Good grocery and take-out food options just a couple of blocks west (at Complexe Desjardins) and restaurants of Rue St. Denis a couple of blocks east; less-expensive parking at the Bibliotheque Nationale, a few blocks to the northeast; subway stop a couple of blocks to the southwest. Walk south to Chinatown and Vieux Montreal, walk north and west along Rue. Ste. Catherine for lots and lots of shops. Even McGill, the Musee des Beaux-Arts, and the trendy Plateau neighborhood are within walking distance on a fine day.
Staff very friendly and helpful when asked directions and places to eat. Bed was above average in comfort and room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel was in easy walking distance to cruise ship pier. Lot of interesting things in area to observe. Only two blocks from china town with lots of shops. Evening entertainment consisted of lots of sport bars but not much else in close area.
While the hotel looks OK in the pictures on the website, it actually wasn't all that impressive. For the price I paid, it should have had more frills and amenities. I felt like I was staying at the YMCA. The only hotel parking was in their garage and it wasn't free. The valet looked like the smelly valet from the classic Seinfeld episode, and I absolutely refused to let him touch my car. I insisted that I drive it into their lot, and they raised a big stink about that (no pun intended). I eventually won that argument but they didn't like it one bit and treated me like [bleep] afterwards. What were they planning on doing with my car?, I had to wonder. I wouldn't let them keep my keys either. They said they needed it in case they had to move it. Why? I parked it in a spot where it was impossible to be blocked in or block anyone else in. Again, I suspect they were planning on taking it for a joyride (I own a very fast car). Not happy with them, but again, I insisted and no one was going ...
The hotel was close to the subway. The room was clean but the furniture and other furnishings were old. The service was very friendly.
Check in was great. The room was stylish and comfortable. Good noise reduction despite being so close to the bus terminal at the Berri-UQAM station in Montreal. Enjoyed being so close to a metro station and the neighboring businesses. Breakfast could have been a little more organized, with better presentation. They gave tickets to turn in for breakfast but there was nobody checking for them at the breakfast area. The food was plain but adequate, and that was alright. I guess my only real complaints as far as the breakfast goes are that a few touches of decoration and placement could have made the meal more enjoyable, and that the toaster only half worked, therefore causing a line of people to idle around for their turn. Gave a "Fair" score for the working order of facilities and equipment because the elevator was iffy and at one point it was taking way too long to arrive to our floor, so we used the stairs from then on.
I arrived at the hotel at midnight and it was raining cats and dogs. That was not your fault. But upon my arrival, I found out that there is absolutely not parking available at the complex - a real bummer. So, I had to park approximately 0.5 km away under a city library building, and, of course, coming back to the hotel, I got soaked. In the morning, I came to breakfast at 9:20 AM and breakfast was served until 9:30 AM, according to published material. Breakfast area was not cordial, with tens of people lining up for simple things like tea and drinks, croissants, etc. The counter manager was oblivious to all this and was putting things away as quickly as possible. Not an enjoyable scene. Please read above.
Very clean room
The room was nice, clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Downtown location at an affordable price. The building looks very new; recently built. Staff were a bit rude about checkout time, and seemed a bit unorganized. While it's a central location downtown, it's not the nicest area.
Good location, excellent helpful staff and reasonable rates. The room on the 12th floor had a fabulous view of Montreal There was no chair in the room nor was there a bed light to read.
• Hotel was in walking distance of most attractions (Chinatown, Old Montreal, Complexe Desjardins, metro) but not in the center of the hustle and bustle of downtown • Decor was modern and visually interesting • Was comfortable to stay in for multiple nights • Beautiful terrace to enjoy • When our shower wasn't working properly, it took a little convincing before the receptionist agreed to send up a maintenance person • Dusty (bad for allergies) • Gym is very small (only a couple machines)
Location It only has 1 elevator and we were put on the 12th floor, the first morning we stayed there we woke up with the elevator broken. We shopped for 6.5 hours, came back and it was still not fixed. We stayed 2 nights, and it was broken for the majority of the time and was still broken when we left. This served as an extreme inconvenience considering the floor we were on, and because of this reason I would not stay here again. Having to carry our luggage down 12 flights of stairs as we were checking out was a major annoyance!
The hotel was in a great location, we didn't have to drive anywhere, a tip- valet parking is $26 or one street over it was $9 all day/night underground.. staff was very friendly and rooms where pretty clean (just don't use the dishes provided, I used a glass and left it in the sink and after the cleaner left in the morning the dirty cup was put back on the shelf with the clean ones with coffee still in the bottom and there was no soap to wash it myself) Only complaints, we stayed for 4 days and for the first 2 we didn't have a key to our room because the door wasn't working, so we had to have staff take us upstairs every time we came in. The breakfast was terrible, don't waste $10 on hard muffins, apples and begals. And the walls were a little thin, we could hear the room beside us talking and coughing. All in all we have stayed in pretty bad hotels but this doesnt make the list and we wouldn't not recommend it.
location and the creatively designed bathroom. Room darkening blinds hard bed, tilty bathroom shelf
Great location. I attended a conference at the Palais des Congres, which is only 6 minutes away. Nearby is the Chinatown, where I could find inexpensive dining.
Size of room , quiet , clean , friendly staff . Air conditioning was uneasy to adjust to the proper temperature .
I liked the locationa and the modern design of the hotel. The hotel restaurant wasn't ready (it is still being built). Breakfast was basic. Then again, when the restaurant is up and running it should improve I imagine.
Tradeoff between cost and quality It would be better that in every room there were rules of hotel. The thing is that is not clear what is included in service?
The location was good, and the kitchenette with microwave, crockery, sink etc was well set up. Breakfast was basic, but good quality: sufficient to start you off for the day. Close to the airport bus stop, but be warned: the cost is $8 and the bus only takes coins/ correct change. Also, the bus is not every 15 minutes as advised by staff... In latter parts of the night/ early morning, it is 1 per hour: Check the timetable at the bus stop. The rooms are not at all sound proofed: the lifts were clearly audible (I was situated mid-way between the two), as were women laughing and joking in the room upstairs and doors slamming in the hallway. The decor is cheaply done: charcoal paint over bare concrete. While it is new now, in a year or two it will be showing marked wear and tear. It appears very dingy and dark. Shower cubicle was very narrow.
Very clean hotel, unique industrial design (clean lines, basic), kitchen facilities, 24hr convenience store (for late night snacks and alcohol), and proximity to St. Catherines O. and Berri-UQAM. There was no alarm clock in the room, and there should have been at least two chairs for people to sit in (instead of only one plastic chair at the desk). Also, better quality sheets (personal preference) and towels would be an excellent addition. Finally, a bit faster service at the front desk for check-in would be appreciated. Overall, a great hotel though!
The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean. The location was pretty convenient, too.
Free wifi, no one bothered is, came back and room was made, air conditioned two queen size room with personal bathroom. Nothing aside from 16$ per night for parking
The cost of the stay was very reasonable and the hotel was very clean. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location on St Denis was also great! The only things that was disappointing was probably the internet speed. Although there was free wifi internet, the speed was not great.
Location - close to buses, coach station and Metro. None
Good location for GPdC weekend. Uqam Metro station was only a block or two away. Old Port is one kilometer away. (approx. 10 minute walk) St. Catherine's in a cross street, about a 30 minute walk to Crescent/Peel/Bishop street location. Parking is around the corner, easy in/out with pass card. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Room was a little dated, view was interior to brick walls, but when you balance location, price etc. for the weekend in question, it was all good.
The cost of the parking was too high. The position of the hotel was great
Good location, clean room Noise from the street sometimes
Staff excelent.... Very Nice Staff , excelent localization...
The great location in the Latin Quarter, just a few blocks from the main bus station and from Berri-UQAM station, where Metro lines intersect. Also, the fantastic value for money, and the fact that my room had a bath (shower over bath). Everything was fine. The hotel room didn't have any frills, but this wasn't expected for the price. You may be asked for money by beggars if you are out at night in the Latin Quarter.
The room was very comfortable and quite big. There was a great TV LCD, the parquet on the floor and the king size bed was really comfortable. The room was on the back and very quiet. The location is good, at 2 minutes by foot from the metro station Berri-Uqam and 10 minutes from the old city.
it was clean and very friendly.. it was close to the VIllage...
Excellent helpful and courteous staff, large spacious suite with small fridge. Bed comfortable. Quiet rooms. Tub in bathroom was old with permanent scrapes - should be replaced. Shuttle to airport should be included with room price.
Good value for money You have to pay $15 extra for Parking - Absolutely no spot on the street
I was suppose to have 2 beds and did not and the bed was very uncomfortable also there was only 1 lamp that worked and the remote control to the TV did not work.
Excellent location Be prepared for the hotel to be filled with partying young people on the weekends.
The hotel is generally well run and tidy. The breakfast is weak -- cold croissants and coffee. The biggest drawback for this hotel is that there is no convenient overnight parking nearby. I wouldn't stay here again because of it.
i dont like yor breakfast at all .There was nothing to eat.And you say breakfast include. There is no breakfast. You say check out at 11 am, but your at the wall i saw the sign check out at 12 ,which one is right?
internet connection and location breakfast
The hotel is nice and quiet. The main advantage is the fact that it is near the subway where you can easily rent a bike to cross the city or take the subway. The breakfast should be improved. Besides, being everyday the same food, it is pretty bad.
A good cost benefit ratio and cleanliness of the rooms as well as the included breakfast
Me and 8 of my friends spent two nights at the hotel. The staff were friendly and answered any questions we had. The hotels location is the best thing about it being very close to tons of nightlife and restaurants. If you're young like we were (18) and just need a cheap place to crash at night this is it. The rooms weren't the cleanest. The carpet and lampshade had stains and our tv didn't work. The beds we're ok and the bathrooms were fine. We couldn't find any bed bugs like the other reviews stated.
Excellent location, friendly staff. Free wireless internet, free coffee. Room was clean, although the air-conditioning was leaking so that a part of the carpet was permanently wet. The hotel was noisy, mainly by people shouting on the street in the night. Breakfast is minimal.
The environment is very clean and the room i stayed was perfectly ok and it will be nice if there is smaller fridge in room for storage of visitors drinks and foods as the case may be.
Location was good. Cose to downtown Elevator was down for two days. Television did not work. Fridge was locked and we were told it was out of service. Carpets were pretty muggy. We had a good friend who lives in Montreal and was showing us around the city. We were told that we could not have guests in our room and that if we did to "make it quick. This is a hotel not a meeting place." And that if we did have a visitor we would "have to pay extra for them." Which is funny as were formal and polite in behavior compared to the other guests on the weekend who were extremely loud and partying (as to be expected with the weekend and it being A HOTEL). Insulting and inhospitable. I've worked as a front desk agent for almost 5 years and I was insulted with how we were treated. Felt more like a Motel.
The Armor Manoir is a charming victorian, comfortable and quiet, located in a wonderful section of Montreal with easy walking access to busses and shopping. It's much nicer than most hotels because it has the beauty of an old victorian that has been beautifully decorated and maintained.
clean, old fashioned charm, friendly bilingual staff, continental breakfast
The front desk was wonderful and so helpful on where to eat and what to see. The continental breakfast was not good. Not very appealing in the way it was set up and very little items.
The location is great, 10+minutes by feet to Chinatown. Near the metro station and centre ville. it's not very clean, we can see spide. the breakfast is so simple, but it's free.
The location was central to the different downtown neighborhoods, shopping, dining and universities. It was small and personal like a boutique hotel without the luxe expense. The breakfast was uninspired. An improvement here would move the hotel up a notch.
nothing i have never see that before on booking.com nothing everythings was bad l hotel je le recommande a personne , le petit dejeuner infecte
Charming small hotel, with beautiful decor, in a perfect location for visiting the center of Montreal.
Great location, charming,
Being new in Montreal, the staff were very helpful in making our stay comfortable with a smile at all times.
It was clean and staff was friendly. The price was high compared to a nicer hotel down the street, and the street of the hotles location was bad, full of crack heads and thiefs.
Staff was really friendly and got to know their customers
attentiveness and friendliness of staff
most of all, the staff. Very nice and eager to talk and assist.
The staff were very helpful within reason. It is extremely well located next to the bus terminal for provincial ++ destinations plus Dorval (PET) airport and the subway system as well as a reasonably good nightlife area with a variety of bars and restaurants at good rates servicing the University students in the area. The hotel has two free internet points in the lobby using up to date portables. Many people seem to bring their own laptops but it is still very useful for those who don't travel wired. The breakfast was bare bones to the minimum. The hotel room's electrical accessories were old and missing pieces like TV channel changers. The hotel is stuck between being a hostel and a hotel and the room price seems at odds with some of the services (see breakfast above) and its clientel (many European and other nationality "student travelers".
Great people and great service. The people who work there make this place special. You are part of the family. They want to make everything possible for your stay to be memorable. It is right next to the Central Bus Station. However, three are not that much noise.
A very good location and nice and friendly staff.
Staff were extremely friendly and courteous
The staff were especially helpful and friendly. The building is old, clean, well maintained. The continental breakfast offered variety and a nice place to eat, indoors or out. The neighborhood is loaded with restaurants and near subway to everywhere. We were there for the annual film festival, theater nearby and a nice walk to the arts center.
Very friendly owner/receptionist, lovely suite with a large, jacuzzi tub and modern bathroom, nice full breakfast, excellent location and peaceful, cozy interior that was quiet even though on a busy block of St. Denis.
Our room was fantastic, large room with large bathroom - Jacuzzi tub and shower stall. Very clean and well decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that might bother some is we were on a wing that required you to walk along an outdoor corridor to enter the room, but the corridor faced a courtyard and was fine. I highly recommend staying here.
friendly staff, clean and excellent location
friendly and helpful staff; location was great -- right in the city, close to the bus terminal
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect - it was easy to get to sightseeing spots from Berri-UQAM metro station, and we enjoyed the restaurants and night life on Saint-Denis. If you stay here, have lunch at croissant de lune a block down Saint-Denis, they make great crepes and sandwiches.
The quietness of the place even in the heart of Quartier Latin. Very friendly and willing staff.
Breakfast was very good. It was a bit crowded and maybe there could be a way to ease the overcrowding. The food ran out several times and there was some waiting.... The room was great.
The location of the hotel, the kindness of hotel staff and breakfeast The bathroom was very small
Room was clean, comfortable, and attractive No elevators. We were on the top floor and I, as a heart patient, had some difficulty in climbing several flights of stairs.
The atmosphere was good. Rooms are clean. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful. We liked the breakfast. The location is nice. Near many shops and restaurants. And near the major streets such as st. Catherine, Sherbrooke and st. Laurent. No elevator in the hotel so if you are travelling with few heavy luggages you would be on your own, up or down the stairs. However you might get lucky like us as the hotel staff was very helpful and assisted us with the luggage on our way out. The room is small and the noise can be easily heard from neihboring rooms.
the size of the rooms and decor Noise and lack of services
The location was right for our prime objective which was to go to dinner with our son who lives on St Laurent. We were upgraded to a better room than we paid for. While we did not use the kitchen facility in the upgrade it was a nice gesture It is a new hotel and some features did not seem to have been fully finished yet. The absence of a good reading light in the room was the biggest negative to me.
Hotel was not ready to be opened and should have informed me at time of reservation 1) wrong postal code on website, 2) Parking ovepriced/rip off to park yourself; needed to be valet for $20, not have to drive around for blockes to find, 3) breakfast was a joke, 4) no phone in room!!???, No wake up calls 5) no garbage can in room, 6) No water, mini bar etc in room 7) No map of Montreal availible at desk, to much more to wrtite
Great value for price, large room, central lcation. Cool space and a neat experience in the city. Small details lacking. Slow maid service.
Loved the interior designs Some aspects of the hotel were not completed, eg. towel racks not afixxed to wall completely; lighting in bathroom very poor
The room, the shower facilities, the bed quality, the breakfast offer. A place were you can sit down with your friends to have a chat etc. I did not experience the business facilities on third floor as I were not aware of their existance until the last day of my visit.
The room decor was stunning and the staff very helpful and informative.
Comfortable, stylish, well-appointed room, and the staff was more than accomodating and hospitiable. We'll visit this hotel again, for sure!
The hotel and restaurant staff went out of the way to make us feel welcome in the hotel.
Rooms very attractive and extremely well appointed.Modern decor and all modern amenities!! A jewel!! There is no elevator. This can be a problem if one has difficulty with long stairs. So ask for first floor room if you have trouble with stairs.
This is a small hotel, with only a small reception area. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the toiletries were all very high end (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc) The location was absolutely perfect - a short bike ride from old city, downtown, Mile-ex and other cool neighborhood. There's a BIXI station (Montreal's public bike sharing system) right at the corner, and it's the best way to get around the city in summer and spring. The street is lined with pubs, bars and music venues, and gets quite busy on the weekends (but this is Montreal so everybody's super nice and chill). Perhaps update or get rid of the old lcd TV mounted on the wall - it was incongruous with the otherwise upscale style of the room.
It was cozy, comfortable and clean.
For an urban environment, it had everything you could expect from a quaint B&B. Lyne was incredibly welcoming to us from the start, and the interior decor is really quite spectacular. Great location as well.
Very nice experience. Family was very nice and the breakfast was excellent. Bed and room were very comfortable.I will go back again sometime soon. Close to St. Catherine Street. Easy to get around from this downtown location. Nothing
It's a charming, cosy little place in a great area and is run by awesome people. The breakfasts provided were outstanding, and the conversation was even better. Nope!
Awesome! Great taste of Montreal. At first I was nervous about the shared bathroom, but there are a few bathrooms per bedroom, and they are all super clean.
Excellent Staff. Convenient location . Stairs were a little steep
Great location, very reasonable price.this is a bed and breakfast..not fancy, but agreat value for money. Owners go out of way to help. There was noise due to construction, but that was temporary.
