This is one of my favorite destinations ever. The charm of this island is unimaginable. We arrived early morning, and went straight from the airport to the Roberts Collection. I had booked a room in the newly renovated Manor house. It was everything that we could have ever asked for. The courtyard, is idyllic with its blooming hydrangeas and casual seating. Perfect to lounge while having an easy going breakfast. The rooms are clean with simple, but elegant interiors. Staff is very friendly, and everything is super clean. We will definitely return again... Hopefully sooner than later....
We loved our room! It's had such a unique and attractive character to it. The staff are very friendly and we felt welcome being there. The location is ideal and we were right in the center of town and able to easily walk to restaurants and stores. We would definitely go back and are looking forward to spending a longer time there early next year. The stairs to our room were challenging and fortunately we are both quite fit. physically. they made relaxing in the bed even more special at the end of the day. The outlets in the room were well-worn and we noticed things plugged in would fall out if not propped in place.
Beautiful building, staff was great, central location. Digging deep - shower was a bit small but hot water wroth good pressure. Can't really complain!
Beautiful historic property right in the heart of essential Nantucket. Super convenient location, helpful staff (one even ran to her car to get a personal umbrella to loan me during a rain storm), cozy room (remember: this is an old/historic building, hence smallish rooms), awesome four poster bed with comfy bed & linens. Great Fresh brand bath products. Truly wonderful restaurant & coffee shops in the courtyard. Would absolutely stay again. This level property should really have robes, luggage stand, note pad/pen, in-room bottled water or coffee/tea, and updated shower heads -but these are minor issues.
location room size was beyond small
Great location, comfortable beds, good breakfast, very friendly staff. It's an easy walk to anything downtown including the steamship authority. We didn't bring a car with us and I didn't feel like we needed one at all. Walls are thin so you can hear other guests from your room. There are no refrigerators in the rooms so you'll need to ask for ice if you want to keep anything cold.
Due to severe weather all ferry service to the Island of Nantucket was cancelled Thursday through Sunday. This made travel to the Island impossible. Essentially mother nature cancelled our vacation. After 2 phone calls with messages left inquiring about a credit or refund from the Inn we still have not heard back. Customer service is very poor. We are extremely disappointed that the manager has not made any attempt to contact us. Would not recommend this company to anyone and would not choose to stay with them again at this point.
Good location in town. Easy walk to restaurants etc.
Had a wonderful harbor view room with private balcony. Had a tasty dinner in the restaurant and drinks in the bar. Just a wonderfully relaxing spot with friendly accommodating staff. Was surprised they didn't have a pool, but I didn't really miss having one.
Decor, comfort, location Room size,
The B&B is located on a side street, off the main street. It is not too noisy yet extremely convenient to walk around town. It is a perfect location. The toilet kept clogging. It's unusual that the receptionist is not situated at the front. Guests are to dial '0' for check in, unless one goes inside past the dining room to look for the staff.
Conveniently located. Great room. Great breakfast and snacks. Lovely courtyard to relax in. Friendly staff.
Small hotel feel - including attentive and friendly staff, a night turndown service etc. Room was really, really small (nice, but small!). It was hard to have a relaxing shower because it was so small. Just be prepared for the small room!
Lovely boutique hotel with a nice staff.
The problem here is the management. Mitch Carl is a good guy but his approach to running the inn is unprofessional (and I'm being kind). At check-in, he was very formal and remote, barely spoke 3 sentences. The room (and entire inn) was a bit run-down: door knob loose, towels that smelled bad, tub that was not fully draining, poor lighting in the bathroom. When we put in an initial bad online rating after check-in, Mitch did not bother to ask what's wrong or what he could do. Instead, he insisted that we go elsewhere! Yes, we would very much enjoy spending our Saturday morning trying to find alternate accommodations (in fact, the three other inns that I had on my short list were booked). Well, perhaps that's his way of avoiding bad reviews, I don't know. Eventually, doorknob and tub drain were fixed and towels changed, and the remaining stay was uneventful. But this was a rent-a-room situation -- none of our normal inn/B&B warm and welcoming experience. For the price, it was very disappointing. On the plus side, the location is excellent (steps from *everything* in the town) and the place was fairly quiet (we were on the 3rd floor). The breakfast vouchers gave us a choice of places to go to. Now, those were not places you'd normally go for real breakfast, but rather cafes/bakeries. Still, they were great for takeout for snacks or a picnic later in the day (the Bean's sandwiches were excellent).
