Irritating Issues Overcame Great Room/Location

The room was terrific - very cool, interestingly appointed - including small terrace. Very nice, but noisy (outside) location.

The elevator going to my room (there was only one) would not open at my level. So after several futile attempts (and after speaking with hotel staff), I had to leave the elevator on the previous floor and take the dark, danky escape exit up to my level. To make matters worse, the elevator shaft must be on the side of the bedroom - so I had to listed to it's noice all night. By the time I left the next day, the elevator was still not fixed. As an aside, but not unusual for a Paris hotel, the room was not ready at 3pm (promised time) and they would extend late check out to me for one extra hour. The hotel did not take any responsibility for these issues.
