Excellent service and quick response to any issues. Front desk spoke English. Rooms are large. Good amount of English tv channels. Bad room service food. We should have complained. Bread was hard as a rock. Soup was cold. Sandwich was not edible. But the food in the restaurant in the morning was good. Buffet is excellent as well.
Design of lobbies, eateries, and design and furnishings of room. 1) There is some stains on carpet (below table) in room 607. 2) There is no free PC terminals for a quick and short access of internet (usually available to house guest in European hotels of similar positioning. 3) One front test lady, though pleasantly presentable, was impatient with most guests at counter.
Great, clean and quiet location
I made a reservation for my wife who is Chinese. Upon her check-in a very rude female desk clerk questioned her last name for twent minutes even though it was in her passport. She treated my wife like a tramp. She bothered my wife all night long with little nothings. I will never stay at this Sheraton again.
Booked club level room which included club lounge with happy hour dishes with wine, beer and spirits. Nice selection of dishes to include hot foods. Breakfast also included with club room was the magnum opus with a wide varied offering of classic world breakfast menu. Hmmm..can't say ..not really any gripe other room air on was too cold.

The total courtesy of the staff was overwhelming. Any problem was quickly addressed. They do not accept China Southern Airlines reward cards !!!!!!! Almost every hotel in the world has an affiliation with all major airlines for frequent flyers. Extremely disappointing. I won't stay there again due to this
huge breakfast buffet; terrific gym and spa; spacious lobby; housekeeping staff. high prices for restaurants; bed was old and lumpy and able to feel the springs under mattress. I spent 6 nights so it was an issue for me.
Room was very comfortable and clean! Had problems with shower and aircon, but service repairs were there within in minutes to repair! Good service. Very big and impersonal - but the comfort, staff and amenities made up for it!
A 6pm sundowner on the revolving floor watching the lights of Beijing come on was worth the pretty hefty price for the drink. To cold in the buffet restaurant at night

Great room for the price. Great location next to subway, which is critical in Beijing. At breakfast, we arrived 5 minutes before it was about to close one morning. Things had already begun to be packed away. This should not happen until after the deadline. The deadline should only be used to stop admitting people, not to pressurise those who are there. We were admitted and were physically racing against staff who tried to reach things before we did and snatch them from under our noses so we couldn't get them. This was our only bad experience and it was quite unacceptable. Again, the deadline should be used to stop admitting people. Those who are admitted should be entitled to have their breakfast in peace.

Excellent Hotel. Very comfortable, good location, very convenient to underground transport, and excellent friendly staff. The booking process with Kayak was very problematic. The Hotel did not receive the reservation and it was a major. lengthy effort to get it sorted.
Tidiness and staff was quite helpful. The hot water treatment and shower facilities were attractive The water of the swimming pool was cold. Conciege people didn't know well except booking coach bus. The location was near the end road so it was hard to get taxi and the staff didn't help much. Choose this hotel if have arrangement prepared for car or know the way to subway to get around.
The location of this hotel is excellent. They are renovating their rooms, which were looking a little tired. The staff is helpful, despite the limited amount of English spoken. Maps in a Western language available at the concierge would be helpful.

When visiting the Central Business District, the Sofitel offers a great bed in a great room, a welcome addition to the expanding neighbourhood. The exterior of the hotel does not stand out as it is part of a much larger complex. Some improved sinage would be appropriate for such a high-class business hotel.
I was unable to find a bellboy to bring my bag to my room when I checked in.

Myself and my family had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Beijing from 15th August to 18th. We had arranged airport pick up with the hotel and they were there to meet us after we departed the baggage area - a hotel rep whisked us through the airport to the waiting car very efficent and helpful ( speaks english ). The hotel is newly opened and is wonderful with large rooms with two TVs ( one in the bathroom ), the staff are very frendly and will go out of there way to asist you in anyway. A highlight of our stay was dinner in the CUT Restaurant. It has to be the best steaks in Beijing and the service was equally as good. We also had excellent breakfasts and one lunch in the hotel. They have just opened the Fairmont Gold lounge where you can have breakfast and evening snacks - well worth the extra money you pay . Looking forward to visiting Fairmont Beijing again and trying a few other Fairmonts in the future .
We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is in the soft opening stage and were told only 50 rooms were available. It seemed like we were the only guests but we tried to get another room for a friend and they said it was booked. The location is fairly close to everything as as a reference it is 2 blocks away from the crazy silk market. The staff were fantastic and all welcomed us by name each time we entered or left the premises. The staff service from top to bottom could not be faulted. The rooms were large and very comfortable. We used the gym daily and with the latest equipment was great to work out on. The Willow spa common to Fairmont was not open yet but should be fantastic. We travel to Beijing once or twice a year and will make the Fairmont our new Beijing home. TIP: Print the address off and a map before you leave for China. Being a new hotel drivers from the airport had a hard time finding it.

Very nice hotel, friendly stuff and a good location to reach all poi in Beijing. Often fully booked so make sure to have your room in advance.
The hotel staff are very nice. Room are clean and got everything. Internet access and other facilities such as hairdressing and coffee bar are expensive. The room is a bit small.

Nice and clean room Very poor front desk staff I waited about an hour just to bill one invoice rather then three different invoices and at the end I gave it up and paid three different invoice separately.Nothing to do around the hotel.
The staff were extremely helpful especially Xavier, extremely courteous. Our flight was midnight and we checked out at 2pm. We requested a room at 7pm for 30 mins to pray in (we're muslims). Xavier arranged it with no hesitation and no extra charge, very considerate. Although the subway station is just outside the hotel, we had to go through quite a few stops to get to the center. But that was not a big bother, as whenever we didnt feel like using the subway, Taxis were quite cheap, max 30 yuans ($4.5) to get to anywhere in the center.
Very comfortable room, clean and upscale. Nice modern bathroom and shower. Internet was slow, big panda on the bed was a bit of an inconvenience as it took up a lot of space. There wasn't much else in terms of restaurants in the area that was easy to find.
The location was great, as we wanted to be near a subway station. This was the main reason for choosing this hotel I did not like the pillows, there wasn't any support in the pillows. Also, no porter to show us to our hotel room or take our luggage, for the price we paid we would certainly expect this level of service at this hotel.
The proximity to the Exhibition Center and the fact that the subway station and the station opf the Airport Express are just outside the door of the hotel.The good quality of the services and kidness of the staff in our room the toilet wasn't separate from the bathroom and there is just a transparent glass separating the room from the bathroom. It didn't bother me, but assume that it does to somebody else.
Friendly, polite and helpful staff and a very comfortable, well appointed room. We picked this hotel for our last night's stay in Beijing because of its easy access to the airport (we had an early flight on our departure day) and it did make for a quick easy trip to the airport. There are certainly locations closer to the main sights of Beijing, but there is a stop on line 10 of Beijing's excellent subway system as well as the airport express train right next to the hotel.

Very luxurious room. Nice to have English-speaking staff. We booked because it advertised an indoor pool and airport transfers. To use the pool, they forced you to buy a bathing cap for a huge sum. The airport transfer meant they'd call you a cab.
There was very little to like. The location was ok. This hotel is not a 5 star property. This hotel is not a 5 star property. 3.5'star is a fair raring. The surrounding shops and services are very low end. Most notably, I exchanged money twice and was given counterfeit 100 RMB notes. The manager, refused to help rectify this theft

Clean, modern Services over priced. Room - was allocated a twin, must be the only luxury hotel in the world where twin means twin singles not twin queen size. Furthermore, was told no non-smoking room available at 15:00 hrs check-in yet colleague arrived 1 hrs later and was allocated.
Can't beat this location in traffic-plagued Beijing. Convenient for most business destinations -- with the exception of Haidian. Decor is tired and worn and needs a serious refit. Bedside "control panel" was no doubt cool in 1998, but in 2016 the keypad is greasy and glitchy ------ and I'd kill for a 2 amp USB outlet in the same location...
