A great view of the Atlantic. The food was fabulous, and the staff friendly and very helpfull.

I enjoyed the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The scents of the linens and rooms were also very good!
Some of the staff members were really rude and another was not knowledgeable about the location of the hotel. I speak both Portuguese and English so it was definitely not due to a language barrier.

The breakfast was terrible. I can't eat this pre prepared eggs which float in water and the teast :-/ "Coffee" was cold melta, even after one hour (And very disgusting). There was only basic food like bread and roll, some bacon and chees, but no croissant or cake. And all equipments is old. This is totally not 4 stars hotel, maybe 3 stars. We were in another Linz Hotel in Nordeste and this can't compare, everything clean and new, looks cool, personal great.

We had a marvellous stay. We were upgraded, I think because the hotel was busy, and had a lovely 6th floor room with panoramic views. The staff are great, the breakfast is plentiful. The free pool and sauna were really appreciated when it rained for 2 days. Some people have complained that the pool is too cold. I thought the same the first day, but once you get in it is fine. Some international channels on the tv and good wifi. I would recommend staying in Ponta Delgada for your holiday as it is really easy to get to all the sights around the island from there, and it is the only town that has any kind of life.
the neighbourhood is boring, but it is only 15 mins walk to the old town. There are some signs of ageing, we weren't bothered but they should see to them.
