The room and the property can be described with one word "Character." An old building that has been renovated/refurbished to somewhere that could possible be described as quaint. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A word of warning about Porto in general, it is a city of hills and cobbled streets, bring your walking boots!
The bathroom was a fair size and the shower cubicle large. I experienced one small issue with the shower and that was temperature fluctuations of the water (the shower flex would move as the pressure increased or decrease and the temperature would fluctuate to the amount that you'd have get out if the stream as the water would become either too hot or too cold.)

The heating was good. In Portugal this is not always the case. The house had some charm, especially the room where we had breakfast. There is a nice garden, too. Staff was friendly.
The TV did not work, or I could not switch it on.

Great location, everything is in walking distance. Helpful staff.

The staff was great and my room was spacious. Everything was very clean. It's right next door to a cafe with great food.
The shower would spray cold water about every 4 seconds (instead of maintaining the same temperature). Extremely unpleasant. Also, the bottom of my shower door did not keep the water in the shower.

Location was good and not far from the centre. Building as itself was nice and old.
The mattress. It was so insanely soft, that couldn't sleep normally. Next day had hurting neck and back. Weak sound isolation- I was awakened (probably the whole hotel were) by screaming child at 6am.
