Nothing really, although the room was clean, with a good shower.

The location was awful - well away from central Porto and a five to ten minute walk to a bus stop, followed by a short bus journey to a metro station into the centre or tourist area. The staff were unfriendly - no good mornings, smiles, or 'how can I help yous,' except maybe on reception. We asked a staff member in the dining room to get us some milk to use the kettle and the tea/coffee making facilities in the room. She still hadn't returned from the kitchen 15 minutes later with the milk. The bar was quite small and not permanently or properly staffed, and could have been furnished better. To get a drink/service at the bar we had to keep going to the reception desk a few metres away and the staff there called for another member of staff from elsewhere to serve at the bar. Breakfast was merely adequate. The only hot food provided was scrambled eggs, and it was the worst scrambled eggs I have ever tasted so I only ate it on the first day. It was a sort of honeymoon for my wife and I. We married a couple of days before arriving and my wife had an onward journey to Brazil a few days after we arrived, whilst I was staying in Porto a bit longer. I was so disappointed with the hotel we both checked out at the same time and I booked another hotel in central Porto, which obviously cost a lot more than we had envisaged.
