We stayed in the Porfiriano Suite. The view was nice and the room was very large and decorated in the era of Porfirio Diaz. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good.
The hotel is awesome! The architecture, furniture, everything of the hotel was incredibly beautiful. I never take pictures of my hotel room, this time we did. Frescos, paintings, deco furniture all very enjoyable and very nice t live in for a while. Go and see, it is difficult to explain.Of course, do not expect jacuzzi bath or things like that, it is not the kind of place for that. You must be the kind of person to enjoy a very particular place. Nonetheless, we had free wi-fi, an immense retroflection TV set in the room (together with a very old valves radio set, of course not working). Location was excellent in front of the Rectorate and 200 m form the Zocalo. We had to wait for a while before hot water reaches the bath and the shower was not perfection, but this is not what I will remember of the hotel (I will remember the pluses). No lift (for those who need one, not a problem for us), given the structure of the building.
Friendly staff, great facilities and excellent location.
When I did checked in they gave me a room who had not been cleaned. They apologized & changed me to a clean room. Mistakes do happen but the first impression was obviously not the best.
Great place and good food in the 2 restaurants they have with good prices. Thank you
Very well serviced.
The hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly as well. The hotel it is near to a restaurants area (no walking distance but near) so we did not have problems to access different attractions and places to eat. The service at ¨Los Angeles¨ restaurant was very average or below. Le pool it is nice and the water warm but it is not light at night so even when pool close at 10pm it is hard to see. (My kids enjoyed even without light).
Very nice hotel.. would stay there again none
This hotel is very clean and offers updated equipment (ipod station/flat screen TV/room safe). Bed was BIG and very comfortable. We initially had a difficult time getting to the hotel, but I was able to navigate there with my garmin nuvi-mexico maps. The hotel is located on a main street (Blvd Hermanos Serdan)and cannot be missed once you arrive. We initially booked a double occupant room but we spoke to reception and we were able to update to a single room with a great view of the main street without any additional cost. The hotel staff is great.
Staff was excellent hotel was clean and comfortable would definitely go back Nothing
I stayed at the Marriott Puebla for a business trip. The Marriott Puebla has traditional Mexican warmth with an unexpected world class luxury. It is conveniently located from the corporate office that I work for. The check-in was smooth and the young front desk clerk (wish I could remember her name) was most pleasant and helpful. She asked if I needed dinner arrangements and offered to assist with reservations or suggestions. Somehow she discovered that I was visiting my corporate office and since she knew that it was my first stay at the hotel, she offered clear directions to get there. When I was walking to my room, initially took me a few moments to realize the enormous garden areas available. It made feel peace of mind. The room was much nicer and larger than I had anticipated. The room along with a well-appointed bathroom and terrific shower makes you feel really comfortable. There was enough room to move around (even for 3 people). I love Marriott’s bed, it was extremely comfo...
Courtesy was good, promptness in the reception area. Even though we arrived to check in time they took us in. no
good price for good value
near down town cold in room, food in restaurant not suitable
Everything was fine, except for one thing, very important to me--the wifi wasn't working, and no one who worked there seemed very interested in making things right. I need the wifi for my work and it was frustrating to be unable to use it late one night when the cafes were closed. Otherwise, however, a fine hotel and a good value.
This hotel is beautiful and comfortable. I was there for only one day after a work trip on my way back home and it provided me comfort and cleanless.
I was on business trip and I liked the hotel and its location near malls. Good food and price but the pool is outside. excellent view to the city
My husband and I stayed at Holiday Inn Express, Puebla a few weeks back. We were overcharged twice. In one instance the staff increased our nightly rate on three separate occasions without notifying us. After three attempts to resolve this issue without success I contacted Holiday Inn's corporate office and got nothing but the runaround. We will NEVER again consider Holiday Inn for accommodations. If you're traveling to Puebla, Mexico DON'T STAY at the Holiday Inn Express!
great location in the centro very noisy, glad I brought earplugs
The location is excellent and the room was big and comfortable. The best thing was certainly the balcon and the beautiful view of the cathedral. Breakfast was also very good! The location is excellent, but the crowds during weekends can be a bit noisy.
Great location. Very large room with much more closet space than we needed. Good buffet breakfast.
Location Cleanliness; the carpet was as dirty as it could get; Wireless coverage was patchy
It was beautiful, staff wonderful and food great
We were located right in front of the Zocalo. For the price we paid, that is unheard of! If this hotel were renovated, it could make a fortune.
Excellent location and common areas of hotel are beautiful. Staff were unhelpful. Denied having a reservation (but then found it on a fax machine that had not been cleared).Demanded upfront payment. Hotel is a great location but very nosiy internally epsecially with late arrivals (a large tour group when we stayed) and early departures. Breakfastdoes not commence until 07:30am which is inconvenient for early departures. Staff were not prepared to assist when we asked if it was possible to have breakfast at 7:15am before we left.
Very convenient location with lovely views of the cathedral from the zocalo-facing rooms. Showers were not good - tepid water and very low water pressure.
The location with window that opened to the Zocalo. The cathedral and Zocalo were beautifully lit in the night. The hotel was also noisy because of it's location on the Zocalo. There were demonstrations both mornings.
Very friendly staff and good breakfast options. Beautiful building in the heart of Puebla close to Zocalo and a beautiful cathedral. Lots to do within walking distance and very easy access to taxis. Although these were not deal breakers, the bed and pillows were very hard and on a weekend night it was quite noisy outside of the hotel until very late.
LOBBY, CLEANING PEOPLE THIS HOTEL HAS GONE DOWNHILL , THERE ARE NO EXTRAS WHAT SO EVER, TATTERED AND FRAYED CARPET AND BEDDING, ROOM GO UNPAINTED FOR MANY MANY YEARS. MANAGER LOOKS RIGHT THRU YOU, OFFERS NOTHING IN THE WAY OF SERVICE, FRONT DESK HAVE NO SENSE OF COSTOMER SERVICE, VERY UNFRIENDLY, I GUESS THEY WERE TRAINED BY THE MANAGER. I HAD A ROOM WITH A VIEW OF A WALL, COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING ELSE BUT A WALL, HAVE THE PICS AS PROOF. IF YOU NEED ANYTHING IN THE WAY OF SEVICE FORGET IT, DO NOT LET THE BEAUTIFUL LOBBY FOOL YOU.
