Excellent service and good rooms
- The neighbourhood is great. 5mins walk from metro, many great restaurants at walking distance in a beautiful scenario. - Check-in/out was fast and straightforward - All the areas are very clean and spacious - Hotel is quiet during the night, Windows are big, clean and provide good insulation - Staff very helpful and polite - Some rooms have small kitchens with a lot of equipment. - Bathroom is also good, but i missed an air extractor. - Breakfast is abundant, and with impressive variety, but IMO it could improve in quality. It is served by a restaurant that is not part of the hotel, so the staff is separate and not as good as the hotel staff.
Staff was efficient and courteous, English was good. Room service was also good -- food arrived quickly and was decent as far as room service goes. The prices for room service and the restaurant were all reasonable and the service was friendly. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Wifi worked fine.Overall a pleasant stay. It is not the most luxurious hotel, but it got the job done comfortably. The price for the kind of room you get -- a bit pricey. I guess location is what you're paying for, since it is literally across the street from the terminal. There were similar rooms at the Ritz Carlton and Grand Hyatt for roughly 60-70 dollars more, but in the city center, which is about a half hour from the airport to provide context. Also, the room was supposed to be non-smoking, but I did notice a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Nothing too bad.
When the sink was broken, but hotel staff cope with it soon and kindly, so I did not worry about it. Thank you so much. nothing.
The rooms and facilities were freat My experience. My passport was stolen in the restaurant the evening before my flight.
Best Holliday Inn !
The hotel is the place to stay if you are caught in Santiago in-between flights such as my case. I had a connecting flight in Santiago, arriving at night and departing early the next morning. There would have been other choices in the same price range in the city, but staying at the hotel just across from the airport proved a real time saver. Staff were very friendly and efficient; check-in and check-out took seconds.
opposite the airport. Perfect for layover. Staff very friendly and speak English if your Spanish is not good.
The friendly staff and the proximity of the airport, just opposite.
For those with early flights -- or who worry about transport to the airport-- this is an ideal facility It is just across the street and quite comfortable. Nothing exotic or surprising.
Amazing service, everything clean, all brand new. Great bed and it wasn't a noisy room despite being besides the airpot.
Directly across from international departure entrance.
This Holiday Inn is the nicest we have ever been in. The staff is wonderful and every detail has been paid attention to. Would go back the next time we're in Santiago.
After arriving from a long flight, I was delighted to find a very lovely room, with a very comfortable bed. Best of all, there is a supermarket located on the first floor of the building, so I was able to make great use of the kitchen. The furnishings were great, the staff was great, service personalized, and I felt like I had my own apartment half way around the world! I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends.
Location and facilities No aircon
The correspondence and help I received from Nicholas was the best customer service I had received while being away on holiday. The images on the web site make the apartment look a lot bigger than what it actually is.
The staff -- several of whom spoke good English -- were very friendly and forgave us our poor Spanish. They were patient with us when we tried to pay with a Discover card (not accepted much in Chile) and had to use another. The manager (or at least the one on duty when we were there) also helped us with a suggestion about which bus to use to get to Valparaiso the day we checked out. Another gentleman kindly retrieved us from the lobby and told us as much as he was able in English about the area. We loved our loft room. The place was clean and comfortable, including and especially the bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend. It was a bit confusing to find -- the address belongs to more than one operation, it seems, and the man behind the desk right inside the front door did not speak English and had to call someone else to come get us. (He was, at least, able to nod when we said "Amistar Apartments" and motioned for us to wait for someone to help us.)
The personal service provided by the manager was A+++ beyond the call of duty. The location was extremely convenient and central to all attractions. The pool area was fantastic and the room was very well furnished and decorated. The 2nd bedroom of the apartment was too small to be called a real bedroom. ie: the roll out bed provided could not even be fully extended and the room could not be entered at the same time as there was not enough room to even open the door. Unfortunately we were also located on a floor too low to take in the panormic views of the mountains advertised.
A practical, reasonably priced place to stay in a city with very high accommodation costs.
nothing food, people, they could not find my booking, no explanation. sERVICE
Well located near the airport, with free shuttle. Hotel itself was pleasant, a few touches that made it more than just a bland airport hotel. Nice pool. No problem with keeping the room for a few hours more till our departure time. Note that the location as described on the booking site is wrong - seems to have it confused with its sister hotel in the city. Not cheap
Almost nothing.. Almost everything was bad. I booked that hotel because it has internet but during my stay the internet has gone off and also the phoneline was corrupted. So i became unconnected to the world. And it took more than 12 hours to fix it. And also they charged for every small detail, like plug converter. Besides, the staffs don't know English well and they lack communication.
Real great value.
Excellent health club & restaurant. Reasonable prices for a luxury hotel. Very helpful staff providing directions.
Very reasonable price for a luxury hotel. The lobby always smelled lovely. Free wi-fi. Comfortable bed and linen. Lots of fluffy towel. The water temperature of the shower was not constant and kept on going from ice cold to super hot. Water pressure was rather low as well. It always took a while for the hot water to come out at the sink. Breakfast was ok but would have been better if there were more vegetables (i.e. - tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers for a morning salad).
Wonderful stay--everything was excellent
Concerige very helpful & front of house have good english
great location, very comfortable the internet was inconsistent
Staff very friendly and helpful food was excellent room was comfortable I would have liked a tea kettle in the room
The staff were friendly and were largely fluent in English. The location was great, only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and parks. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The rooftop bar was very nice but wasn't open on the weekend which was a disappointment. Really good quality for the price. The pool is in the basement which was a mistake on our end, some old/incorrect pictures showed it as a rooftop pool which made spending a day at the pool impossible. Water in the room is outrageously expensive, $10/bottle! The shower/tub combo was a bit uncomfortable - I'm very average size and it was too narrow to stand shoulder width. The room was starting to show some signs of age but still a very good value.
Location, location, location. I wish there were more restaurant choices.
this is a big hotel and near the center of the santiago... not bad
Very nice lobby layout. Nice breakfast. Classy rooms. Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel did not charge me for a late cancellation 1 night due to cancelled airline flight when they could have by their terms and conditions.. The City Tour they organised was terrific.Highly recommended Coffee concentrate is pretty poor compared to proper brewed coffee but this seems to be the standard in South America. Meals expensive compared to good restaurants close by. More complimentary water in vathroom would be appreciated as to purchase it is USD10.
Good location, very nice staff, nice comfortable rooms
This hotel was set in the middle of Santiago and was like an oasis of peace in the big city. The grounds were beautiful as was the building. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - going beyond what is expected. The Grand Hyatt was located close to a great shopping mall and good restaurants The room was large and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing I disliked was the first room they put me in. It was low with a terrible view and a CRT television. When I asked, they changed to a great room. To be fair, I got there early so better rooms were not available and they let me use the room until a better one was available.
The design in combination with the situation giving a nice view. Even though not all the. Rooms have the mountain view.
The location was very good and the hotel reached completely our expectations.
Service Bed was uncomfortable and the food was bad
Location, modern structure, the size of the rooms, friendly staff, etc.. It should have double doors at the main entrance to keep out cold wind from the street every time the door opens
The hotel was perfect for walking to the shopping centres and cinema. The staff didn't give me any information when i checked in and I had to wander around to find where breakfast was served. It also said on the website that if offered a massage service, however there was no information in the rooms about this at all. I think they should put a hotel information leaflet in the rooms. The pool isn't heated either. (just to warn all swimmers, but still looks amazing)
Excellent location in business district. Friendly staff
The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were large and clean and well appointed. The 24 hour room service was tasty and a welcome perk. When we arrived, we were told that booking.com had cancelled our reservation and that they had no rooms available, but would be happy to call us a cab, goodbye. I called booking.com who assured me they hadn't cancelled anything. Then it turned out that the manager said that they didn't have availability even though they hadn't blocked the days off with Booking.com. So the story changed, but still no rooms. I had to make a stink (not my favorite thing to do) in order to get any real assistance or accommodation. In the end they got us the rooms we'd booked initially, but the whole process was a fiasco, especially when you're getting off 15-20 hours of flying to get there.
The room was very clean location was good close to airport there was courtesies shuttle to airport it is far to downtown and there is no public transportation I highly recommend getting city tour arranged by hotel $35 person 4 hours you see everything Very few staff fluent in english makes it hard to order in restaurant. Young lady manager solves many problem,
I like the location, room was amazing, breakfast was exelent
The hotel is beautiful, well-appointed, modern and in a great location. It is across the street from a pretty park, near great restaurants (all price ranges), banks, 1/2 mile from the largest mall in Santiago. The buffet breakfast offers everything and is in a lovely large restaurant with a large outdoor patio. The swimming pool is small but the view is spectacular and the cabana area is nice. The hotel staff is friendly, professional and the service we received was great. The elevator system is confusing. To get from the entrance to the reception and restaurant floor is one elevator bank. To get to your room is a different elevator bank. To get to the pool area is another elevator bank. The pool area has a cocktail bar area which is a bit of a young party scene. Need more hooks in the bathroom.
The W-Hotel is the first hotel of this chain in S.America and it is obvious that they want to make a statement of design and comfort. There are more than plenty staff everywhere that assist you . Also when you arrive by taxi they check if you were not being over charged. The design of the lobby met 3 restaurants is spectacular. The pool with lounge bar on 21st floor is small but spectacular. The charge of internet of $ 15,- per day on your room. In the lobby it is free. The charge of $ 25,- for the quality breakfast, while you pay at least $ 300 a night.
Glitzy decor and very friendly staff. The layout of the hotel is very confusing... You have to take multiple elevators to get anywhere. The pool also was not heated.
the location, the breakfast the matress of the bed. Normally they are better in an NH.
Breakfast was good, and the rooms were large Bathrooms in poor repair, Shower was in a awkward position, flooded when used in all but one spot. broken tiles, looked old and not so clean.
No complaints I think the staff should have a brighter coloured uniform, instead of black, however they were great, friendly, helpfull people
Excellent spacious rooms There was no tea7 coffee making facilities
Location was good for downtown tourism. Delapidated interiors - our room on top floor was directly beside the airconditioning plant etc - noisy!!
Staff was very helpful. Clean, large sized rooms. Overall high quality experience. The gym and pool were small, and too cold to swim in.
modern and clean hotel. friendly staff.
Room sice was excelent! We spend new years eve there and there was no service at all in the hotel for that afternoon and nigth... Not even a glass of water.
very kind the hotel staff
