Comfortable bed and the room is clean. Staffs are friendly too. If the hotel is located in PuXi whould be better.
I had a very pleasant stay, staff was very friendly especially on Horizon club. My dining experience at Nadaman was execellent mainly due to staff.
Good sized room. Slightly old-fashioned but adequate swimming pool. Staff pretty helpful or always tried to be helpful. The price of food and drink in the hotel is ludicrously high. Most of the staff have very poor English which makes it difficult to solve any problems that arise. However their attitude is friendly & helpful in my experience. For most leisure visitors to Shanghai, the hotel is on the "wrong" side of the river - but taxis are cheap.

The breakfast buffet was exceptionally good; one of the best I have ever experienced. latte coffee was over priced and not good quality; too weak. No skinny (skim milk) option for the coffee.
I did like the in room dinning The staff was not interested in keeping me as a client for the future. The price was not same as in booking.com and nobody did care about it and i had to pay more.

Excelent design, great location, friendly staff most of them. expensive eatting in the hotel, staff need to be more skillful with foreign languages. Even if 9 out of ten staff was great, friendly and polite, just the bad attitude of the tenth was enough to destroy the image of the team.
Great location. When we arrive our room was not ready and the front desk did a double take on our reservation itinerary.
Good breakfast variety. Reliable internet. Bathroom amenities (soap etc) have improved since last year. Maintenance crew noisy in middle of the night. Wake-up call was an hour late one morning. Showers a bit leaky into the bathroom.
A fairly genuine five star hotel with well appointed rooms including the "standard" amenities, restaurants and facilities. Location in the heart of Pudong's business area suited my needs well. Complimentary WIFI is a bit irritating in the it required constant re-logging on even inside the 24 hour day - none of the various location logins remembers you. The spa is mediocre with relatively poor service and the pool is far from the expected comfortable resort hangout but rather like a small town community pool where you are given a gross looking community bathing cap before entering the water. While I realize that I'm in a foreign country the overall level of English speaking (understanding) in public areas is below expectations for this class of international hotel. A $ 133.00 charge for a 3 hour late checkout.
Pros: This is a very nice hotel. Amongst the best I have been to anywhere in Asia, in terms of decor, service, and amenities. Free internet, and free minibar (albeit very limited). Cons: Considerably more expensive than hotels nearby with similar amenities. The in-house dining is jaw-droppingly expensive. $20 for a hamburger. $65 for the breakfast buffet. When I had a change of plans, and needed to go to Nanjing for a couple of days, they refused to allow me to alter my prepaid 10 day reservation. I was informed that I should be happy because I could leave my luggage in my room. Management has since apologized, and says that this should not have happened, and will not happen again. They offered me an upgraded room on my next visit. Conclusion: If you are on business travel, and your HR department will spring for the Kerry, go for it, you will not be disappointed. If you are traveling on your own dime, you can get a similar experience for considerably less.

Beautiful view of Pudong from our big and luxurious room on 30th floor Airco was broken, but we realized too late to have something done about it.

the location, the staff and the amenities, most of all the hotel is very modern there was an odor emitting from the bathroom and the water was blue and rough. needed bottled waterto brush teeth
I enjoyed staying at the hotel very much. I had problem with my key. It did not work and I had to wait for someone coming up to replace the key.
Eton hotel (Shanghai) is located at a convenient location, there is a sub-way station opposite the hotel, a 24 hours convenient store next to the hotel and it is not too far from Pudong airport. More important, it is value for money. The receptionist does not accept to the offer price "USD 80.00" as booked, I have complaint to the "officer" and finally they agreed to the price. The check-in took around 15 minutes though I am the only one checking in during that time.
Location is good and close to PVG airport (10 minutes). Nice lobby. Nice rooms for Westerners. New hotel.Nice bathrooms. Fast free internet. Clean rooms. good and quiet A/C. Shuttle to airport. Decent gym. nothing not to like. Maybe some more English TV stations would be nice - like Discovery. This is a very nice hotel. Better than expected for a Howard Johnsons. I had stayed at Ramada Inn at PVG last time. This hotel is MUCH nicer
The room was spacious with a nice view. The bed was very comfortable Only one breakfast was allowed for our stay. Breakfast for the second person would cost $20USD which is expensive for what they served. However fresh machine brewed coffee was available at the lobby which was quite good.
The hotel is very nice ,luxurios looks good and have a good position near the airport The personal is ruud and no polite,we stayed only one night and they wanted to make a deposit,i said that i make the final payment and they refused,after a long discusion they accept ,but they locked the mini-bar in the room and take everything out of the room ,like someone want to steal a bootle of water or a beer.A deposit in China means 2 times blockage of the money on the credit card and after the payment you will get your money back in 30 days so always they charge you double wich is not correct

This is an excellent option to hotels. Apartment building with modern facilities. The price is well below most 4-5 star hotels in the area (ask for the corporate rate if you qualify). They could use a few more English speaking staff for the American visitor. I would recommend apartaclass, particularly if you plan to stay longer than 3 nights or if you want to entertain at all.

Like the fact that it was close to the airport to kill my 16 layover in shanghai didn't even want to take a visit of the city because 99% percent of the Chinese does not know any English at all and very rude. Even with my hotel staff, only 1 out of the hotel crew understand english. And signage and display are all in chinese, it's not western friendly at all
Never spent the night in a noisier hotel room. The people 1 floor above partied til 4:30 am. Had some earplugs with me. Didn't help that much. Can't speak Chinese so couldnt even complain. Next time id definitely request a quiet room
Proximity to airport, cheap rates I purchased 2 nights (prepaid) through hotels.com so that my wife could stay close to the PVG airport since I needed to leave 1 day ahead of her. After the first night they forced my wife to either pay for the second night again or leave... as she didn't have her laptop with her they actually had her sit at their computer in the lobby and book another night on expedia! Once my wife got in touch with me (I was in the air during this whole ordeal), I sent her the hotels.com booking confirmation showing that we had in fact already paid for 2 nights. When she showed this to the hotel management and asked them to refund the 3rd night, they told her that it wasn't their problem and that she would have to dispute the charge with expedia! I'm not sure if this was corruption or incompetence, but either way we're never staying at this hotel again.

The staff helped us find another room in another hotel. I had booked the double room for myself and my brother expecting there to be two suitable working spaces in the room. We found only one. When asking the staff to provide an additional desk and chair they were unable to do so. Furthermore active hotels promised there to be a fitness room in the hotel. This was not the case. The fitness room was under construction and would not open until next month. This was quite dissatisfying.
One subway stop and one highspeed train ride from the airport. Subway is easy to use.
The position of the hotel I had to discuss what the rate included. It was different from what stated in the website. Then we solved the problem. The bathroom walls in the suite is completely made with glass!! No privacy at all!!

the hotel is good in general if you want to visit the shanghai pudong exhibition center, very near only 5 min. excellent concierge name peter. the bad about this hotel is the lobby , very small . very nice surounding the central park is only crossing the road. for eating you can go by taxi only 12 rmb to the tumb plaza.

The room was very nice. The staff were rubbish. I turned up and i was told that they didn't have the room that i had booked available and they wanted to put me in a twin room as opposed to a double. I said i wanted a double bed. And then they tried to charge me more. I objected to that and i was left waiting while they tried to find me a room. In the end i dropped my bags with the concierge and went out. When i came back later i finally had a room. On checkout i produced my piece of paper which clearly had $121 written on it. They told me that their international department has decided that the exchange rate was 6.8rmb/$ as opposed to $6.64 so they were charging me at that rate!! What the hell, why do they have the price on the internet?
