I liked that it was walking distance to a lot of restaurants. It was spacious and I loved the bathroom. (I literally wanted to take it home). I also liked that the lamps had outlets in them which made it easy to charge my devices There wasn't much option of cable stations.
On water, private beach, full amenities, very comfortable. Food prices were too high and they charge a service fee of 10% to every bill which is not the tip.

Upon arrival, there was no room for us. The hotel was overbooked, First time experience this, Waited until they sent us off to the Marriott Hotel which was awful. Another 2 hours waited in Marriott lobby with my 12 year old until I was checked in. That's 6.30 p.m. They put us in room where the sheets stinks and cooler above us vibrate the room whole night. I asked to be changed, Marriott said they don't have any more rooms available. Sleepless night for me & my son. The next day, went back Radisson Aquatica, had to wait until after 3.p.m. to be checked in. The staff was really nice, but nice doesn't work when they overbooked their hotel and got us so stressed out, didn't even consider this a vacation. Also my son got stuck in one of the elevators, it was really scary, they had to pull him out between the floors. Radisson promised the reimbursed 1 night stay, please contact them for my refund.
I recently lost my husband, and this trip was my first solo adventure. The staff at the hotel - everyone - went out of their way to make me comfortable. They called me by name from the first day! They were concerned that I was not on a walk back from the Changing of the Guard (I had gone with friends who knew the way back to the hotel). They were very helpful when my flight times were changed, and I tried to work out all the details. I will certainly recommend your hotel to friends, and I hope to visit Barbados again (and your hotel) next year! I have no complaints!!
I was really impressed with the location. The beach was beautiful and at the time we were there we could always find a great spot to hang out. Additionally, it was close to catch a bus which was our favorite mode of transportation (we took the bus most days since it was only a dollar). The staff was great and gave great suggestions on things to do, restaurants, and directions. We had dinner in the hotel one evening and it was pretty good. I wish they had more of a selection at breakfast.
My family and I stayed at the Radisson for four nights. It was a memorable experience. Hotel is very clean and the beach beautiful. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. The Bartender, Jermaine did an excellent job with the drinks and he is great eye candy (lol). Our Waiter at breakfast, Selwyn was happy to share information and directions to difference places on the Island as he kept the coffee flowing. Wonderful experience and I am glad we chose Radisson Aquatica Resort. Retel It was a little too quiet for us in the evenings. Maybe a couple of nights per week they should offer some type of entertainment or have a beach party. Enjoyed the breakfast, but a wider variety of items would be nice.
The staff was very accommodating. The location was great, they have one of the best beaches on the island in my opinion. I see this hotel becoming a five star hotel within a year once they complete the renovations. There is a nightclub in a walking distance and also a nightclub district within a short taxi ride. The food was good at the the hotel's restaurant as well. There are other close locations to eat as well. I recommend everyone try the fish, egg and cheese sandwich sold at a nice stand located next to the surfing shop.
After a long day of travel, we arrived at the hotel and they didn't even have our reservation. We talked to the front desk woman for about 20 mins and finally she gave us a room. Upon checking out the next morning, the front desk guy wanted to charge us more than we had already been charged for the room on the website. I clearly explained to him that we had already pains but he said he needed to charge us. I called kayak and they talked to him and figured things out. I don't feel like I should have to be calling your website to straighten everything out. You should have sent our reservation over and we shouldn't have had a problem. Luckily my phone worked because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to call. This mistake has basically made me not want to ever use your website for anything ever again.
Friendly staff, and clean comfortable room. Only one working elevator, and diminishing towels. Every day, housekeeping would take my used towels and not replace them. By the third day, I had 2 bath towels and no hand towels. Not a big problem, just a minor inconvenience. I'm sure if I had requested them they would have brought them.
Great access to beach. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Managers Monday evening happy hour provided a chance to meet other guests. Overall a very enjoyable stay. More choice for meals.

Barbados is one of the best islands in the Caribbean and the location of the Radisson couldn't be on a more beautiful beach! The staff is very kind and helpful. The price is very reasonable. Highly recommend!
My wife and I stayed here for a few days. We were aware of the construction but that really did not affect us. Upon check in the room was not ready so we had to wait with all our stuff by the pool for an hour. They gave us a bottle of champange and coffee mug as a gift for the wait.The hotel is directly across from the hottest club in Barbados and they have an open patio and you can hear the music and people until 3am when they shut down. The room is not sealed off with large gaps under the door and slotted bathroom windows all the noise come right inside. On the 2nd night we heard a loud popping noise in the middle of the night, when it was light out we noticed the tile floor had buckled -maybe 15 tiles so they had to move us to another room. re-pack everything-move and unpack. The next night the A/C stopped working but no more rooms to move us so they had to move us to another hotel. Re-pack, move, unpack again. The staff was very nice just too bad we had so many problems. The hotel was very well located, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only problem is the noise from the karaoke across the street.
This was my third stay at the South Gap Hotel. If you want to be in the midst of the action, this is your kind of place. It's quiet during the day but very noisy and smoky at night - the price you pay for being directly across from the most lively clubs (and grills) in St. Lawrence Gap. The view from the rooms is the ocean. The (studio) rooms vary in size, tend to be small, but neat, with free wifi access. My favorite is the 1 bedroom, with a separate sitting room. The bar, restaurant, patio and pool are open and face the water.
I traveled alone and at all times during my stay I felt safe and secure. Check in was a breeze!! The receptionist was professional and courteous. She escorted me to my room and showed me everything I needed to know and then some. The other ladies were equally as knowledgeable and professional as well as the other support staff. I researched the hotel carefully before I booked and the reviews were about 50/50 but I still gave it a go. I am extremely happy that I did. I stayed on the ground floor a little way from reception. I saw reviews about the noise from the nightclubs next door and was a little scared but I barely heard anything and if I did it was more like a whisper. I thought that because of the price I was going to be dissapointed, however, I was pleasantly suprised. This hotel is in the perfect location on the gap and all the action. I thought that I would be affected by the music from the surrounding nightclubs, however, once again I enjoyed every minute of my time there and looked foward to hearing the music and seeing all the activity at night. The view of the ocean from my room was a plus and the staff should be commended for their hospitality and efforts in keeping up the maintenance of the facilities.
If you operating on a budget on this beautiful Island this is the place, comfortable, a/c, cable tv and a few yards from the beach and the action of St. Lawrence Gab. A clean, convenient, secured Inn.
You WIN staying at the MERIDIAN INN! WHERE TO STAY?? I asked myself this repeatedly while researching for my recent visit to Barbados.I knew I would need a secure place within my budget, close to the action and beaches . The previous reviews lead me towards the Meridian Inn. Although still hesitant and skeptical; I made my booking for two and headed there on 03 Jan 2012. I was met with a vision of a yellow/cream colored hotel that oozed rustic comfort much to my delight. The small lobby area, opened 8am to 5pm, was staffed with one of the most helpful and friendliest person I had ever met in my long travel history. We got armed with all the relevant tips for a fun filled stay at the island. Then we were directed to our room. Although it is not 4-5 star high end, it is equipped with more than the bare essentials for comfort, utility, and security. At a glance I could see a brand new A/C unit, a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, ring burner stove, a neat bathroom, and a king size bed. ...
I very much enjoyed my stay here. The hotel does not have many amenities but its cheap price makes up for it. It is small, rooms were a good size and had a full kitchenette and balcony with table. The sheets and towels were a little worn, but everything was very clean and the cleaning ladies did a great job. The staff there was helpful and helped us set up a few excursions. The air conditioner was my only complaint, it wasn't cool and was like a second fan in the room. The area the hotel is in is great- the St. Lawrence Gap if filled with other hotels, many restaurants, small shops, nightlife and the beach is a 2 minute walk away. This hotel is at one end of The Gap so it never got too noisy. The Dover Beach hotel is next door. They have a nice balcony by the pool (just walk straight through the hotel) overlooking the ocean. The hotel is close to the beach and in a great location for restaurants. The front desk has limited hours. We arrived at the hotel at midnight. The check in process was actually easier than some hotels that have front desk personnel 24 hours/day.
This hotel does not have many amenities, but is a very good hotel for the cost. Each room has a balcony with table and chairs, TV, full kitchenette, soap, towels (none to take to the beach though). The room has a fan and AC, but the ac is not good and like a second fan. This was the biggest problem I had. The towels and sheets are not great quality, but they are clean. We were only supplied with two thin pillows- but we didn't ask for more, we may have gotten more had we asked. We got full maid service every day. One thing I really liked about the hotel was that it was very clean, no bugs etc. The outlets in the room are the same as in the US and we had no need for the adapter or converter we brought. The office is not open all day, but they were very helpful in setting up tours and activities. They also have drinks and sunblock for purchase in the office and a lending library. Very clean and cozy. Nice friendly staff. They will go out of the way to make you feel special. They palnned a surprise b-day party on the El Tigre cruise for my dad. Close to the St. Lawrence gap night life and action but not too close. The Dover beach nearby should be avoided if you are not a strong swimmer.
Great location, and the room had a kitchenette so it was nice to be able to have a few meals in. The staff was absolutely awesome and so helpful.
The Gap area is very cool, a great walking area. The hotel was less than a block from the beach on a side street. It is your standard Caribbean hotel, pretty spartan. Our flight left at 7:30 am and there was no clock in the room, however, the owner volunteered to come knock on our door at 5am. It's a nice homebase with a small kitchen.
They hotel was close to local markets and beach. When i first arrived, no one was on site. I had to call to locate my room and key.I don't think it was the hotel's fault, but I thought I paid for 4 nights instead it was only three nights charged to my card. I left early so it worked out.
I liked my oceanview room however cleanliness was an F in my books due to the mold I found the next day on my pillowcase My room was not ready when I arrived at 4:00 . The brochure clearly states check in at 3:00. I also chose this hotel because of the airport shuttle. After contacting and emailing this hotel several times, we were not able to book the shuttle. There was no response from the hotel, and or return email after leaving several messages.

I stay at this hotel over night and was very impressed with the over all experience. The room was clean and the bed heavenly soft. The food was not as tasty, but the other amenities made up for this short over site....will definitely stay there again.
Just stayed here on my business trip and this hotel was much nicer than I had expected. Apparently it is a new hotel - and the rooms were very clean, roomy, and were nicer than when I normally stay at Hilton. Also had free WIFI - very happy with my choice, and I will be back.

The numerous nooks spotted throughout the property to welcome holiday reflection, and meditative like relaxation is sublime. An isolated compound with oceans of charm and none of the over imposed employee invasion is an original experience to enjoy for as long as you are staying in Barnados. Lush Quiet spaces, jungle pool and peacocks, are words that come to mind.

The hotel is great! Loved the beach out back and it was a perfect place for relaxation. The hotel is in a central location for hotel pick ups and not but a few minutes away from Bridgetown. Great food and great location. The hotel has some work to do on the wifi for hotel guests. The internet is slow and unreliable, but there are other places around that have better wifi. The only other thing was that the beds are a tad too firm for my liking but when your tired you will sleep...besides your there to relax on the beach not in the room!
The beach views are incredible. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is lovely, with a sandy swimming cove. They also provide you with beach towels, lounge chairs, and a delicious continental breakfast. I love this place and would definitely return.

WiFi did not work for the first 5 nights of our stay; the staff only gave us excuses and was not helpful. Finally after pleading and complaining as I required the Internet for work and to monitor emails, they offered us another room, so we had the added inconvenience of having to pack up all of our stuff, move then unpack again. I travel a lot and have been to Barbados a few times before, and this is by far the most unprofessional and unfriendly place we have stayed in. I wonder if its because we are East Indian or Caricom residents that we got this unfair treatment. So... We booked the hotel for nine nights. My mom and wife went first as I had to work for the first 4 nights back home. Before booking I called the hotel and asked about the extra person fee for the room and they advised it was USD 31.44 extra per night. On arriving I was advised that the fee was USD 48.38 per night extra. No problem I paid it. We had to call the front desk to get everything that should have been in the room for an extra guest even though we paid this fee. We got these things (cutlery, extra blankets ect.) at the hotel's convenience. We asked that the twin beds be arranged into King size and for two nights this was not done. The television did not work properly and after making multiple complaints, a technician came and said he would check it. Nothing was done until we changed rooms. When I asked the manager how they intended to compensate us for no Internet and a poor television signal for 7 days before we had to change rooms, also the inconvenience of moving and the untimely service, she said that she would reimburse us 2 nights of the extra person charge (USD 96.00) which I found was insulting but to close the matter and maybe enjoy part of my stay here, I said okay. When I went at the front desk and advised about the reimbursement, the person there reimbursed us for the 5 nights extra person fee which I thought they should have been the least they did, she then called after and mentioned she made a mistake and I have to come and pay the fee AGAIN (I told her it was USD 96.00, BUT she gave me another figure which I thought was the hotel trying to make amends). I had to check my credit card transactions when I got home to ensure I was not overcharged. There are other small things like a charge for changing beach towels, I have never seen that before, and the activities area only advise activities that are provided by the hotel...so many more little annoying things that made this trip annoying!!! It was also my wife's and my 5th Wedding Anniversary, it’s so sad that we are spent it there. Coconut Court has ruined what should have been a milestone for a young couple. We had our honeymoon in Barbados, it was amazing, and we have stayed at other hotels in the area and enjoyed ourselves. I travel through the Caribbean for work and have no problems. This was really a disappointing experience. . I will never go back to this hotel

Pirate's Inn served my purposes, being next to stores and places to eat like Subway and KFC. The beach and boardwalk are a quick walk down the block and across the street. Other businesses are within a few minutes walk along the main road. The room was like an efficiency apartment with a kitchen and closet space. Bus stops by the stores provide cheap transportation ($2 BDS/$1 US) to Bridgetown, the airport and elsewhere. The staff promptly answered questions I emailed before my trip. All this for a rate cheaper than other hotels. I would stay here again. Had no problems with this hotel. I read online that air conditioning costs extra so I stuck with the two fans that I left on and aimed at the bed for the entire stay. I imagine this might bother some people but I was okay with it and it probably helps to keep the cost of the room down. There was no shampoo in the room though I did not ask for any.
