Proximity to the cruise ship terminal. Easy to get anywhere in the city by walking, bus or subway (Sky Rail). Extremely courteous staff, very helpful. Will definitely stay there in the future. Nothing
Staff we're very helpful and accommodating Room was super clean and surprisingly quiet considering how busy the hotel was Super convenient location Internet charge was a little outrageous
great location for prior to a cruise! restaurant has excellent menu! delicious and healthyh!
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Very comfortable, stunning views. Spending a lot of money on a 5 star hotel is OK but to be charged extra to use WIFI seems greedy. In 5 weeks in Canada this is the only hotel we stayed in which charged. It was also the most expensive.
Location was most suitable to our needs Freindly staff
Very comfortable bed and pillows - Everything I needed was in the room. Check in and out were very fast. It was an enjoyable stay and the location was perfect.
Beautiful location and elegant decor. Room and bedding very comfortable and spacious. All service was friendly and prompt. Bellman was especially helpful with information and very courteous. Very enjoyable.
This is the perfect hotel to be close to the cruise terminal as well as for sightseeing, right next to Gastown, Chinatown, and the Skytrain. Had my reservation for a king sized bed, and when I entered the room, it was 2 doubles. Went down to get it changed, and the staff member (Elena?) said the rooms were fully booked and said that "the king sized was just a request". I persisted that I reserved a king and paid the price for a king, which was clearly printed on my reservation confirmation. She went to the back room to check with her manager, and finally came back out to change my room to a king size bed. It was a little troubling to have to put up a fight to get what I had reserved.
the curteous staff, efficient, friendly, helpful and obliging we had bad weather
Beautiful place to stay for my first time in Vancouver. Close to everything downtown.
Good location - upmarket service You have to go through the parking garage to get to the gym - and it was cold!
convenience location Extra charge for everything. food is very expensive
Staff were very helpful Expensive.
Fantastic customer service, staff friendly but professional. Bed incredibly cozy, just what I needed after a long flight from France. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Aside from being everything I look for in a hotel—quiet, great views, luxuriously comfortable bed, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful architecture and decor throughout—its location really makes it special when it comes to exploring the city. It's perfectly situated along major bus and train routes, and you'll never spend more than a minute or so hailing a cab on the street (which is great, as there's currently no Uber or Lyft). Vancouver's already a super walkable city, but this makes it incredibly easy to get around without a car. Even then, you're never more than a few blocks from great food, art (the Vancouver Art Gallery is across the street), landmarks, parks, entertainment and shopping. It also smells phenomenal. Stay there.
Unbelievably attentive staff and attention to detail.
Called 3 times to try to stop and retrieve a phone charger. Put on hold for too long, name, phone number and email taken. Promises to get back. no follow through 3 times. finally just bought a new charger before my next stop. You would think that a 5 stare $400/night would have a system for collecting, marking and storing items left in rooms.
The staff at this facility were very, very kind; and very, very helpful. The best I've ever encountered. Top marks.
Super comfy bed. Great location. Room service was great but pricey. Tried to checkin at 240 when guaranteed is 3pm. Didn't have our room ready till 4pm. I had to inquire 3 times with 3 different people whom all assured us they would call or text me and inform guest services manager. Didn't happen. Bags took another 40 mins longer to come up as they insisted on delivering. Executive suite was nice but only 7th floor. Bad view of pool/buildings. Outdated inside suite. Mismatched door hardware and odd bath/shower setup. No soaker tubs. Won't be back in future. Considering Hotel Georgia or Westin or Pan Pacific.
Hotel is walking distance from Granville Island, Stanley Park, and the Aquarium. Close to great restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant is excellent.
The staff was incredibly professional with wonderful attitudes.
This hotel was nice We had a good time there our negative has to be that we came back with bedbugs. This were found two days later. My wife killed one and had been bitten on her arms and neck area
The restaurant at Four Seasons had a delicious breakfast and the bed was super comfortable! The hotel feels a little old and worn down rather than luxurious, the gym is small, hot-tub was luke warm with no jet power, pool looks nice but it's small and shallow and there were silverfish in the sauna. On top of this I had some thing happen to me personally that didn't make it a great experience overall (things like the cleaning staff didn't come any day I was there).
I arrived at 2.0 pm and asked for my room, but it wasn't ready until 4.0pm. I reserved a deluxe suite with downtown view, but I got one with a swimming pool view. It was a bit challenging to get my room.
We booked this hotel somewhat last minute after an Airbnb reservation didn't work out. We were very pleased with the hotel. The location couldn't be better, service was very friendly, and the room was spacious and well-appointed. No pool or hot tub, but for a smaller hotel like this, it's not unusual.
Friendly staff. Clean room. They didn't have an exercise room....the one elliptical and bike in a room with a drop down ceiling that couldn't accommodate anyone over 5'5' was VERY disappointing.
Staff and Building were fabulous. Location was great. The online/website marketing advertised hot tub and swimming pool facilities as part of the building. Turns out, there is none. Also - details in the room itself for maintenance = the drain plug on the "soaking tub" did not close and, therefore soaking could not happen....and the "hot" water only ever got to tepid-warm for the shower I took.
Suite was beautiful
We were pleased to discover lovely furniture, richly coloured carpets, wall coverings and draperies. Delivered the feel of old-world Europe! Great experience overall was further spiced up with small surprises- delicious, relaxing camomile tea became our soothingly nightcap, and an excellent in-room African blend coffee started the day off right. Also happy to find the bedside clock with a built-in smartphone charger/mount - all too rare in hotels...
The rooms were clean and spacious. the facility was nice. The people were helpful. No problems.
This is my third stay in this property. Great location, great staff, having a seating area a big plus! Very quiet. Am appreciative that it's not your typical business type chain hotel. Because my first stay was after property first opened, like all "homes," am starting to see the wear and tear of time. Hope the property stays energized vs transforming into a tired grande dame.
The rooms are small, but everything else was great. Fantastic front desk. The hotel was quite willing to change a reservation by 24 hours, but not the hotel booker. Turns out that the booking service (that begins with "K" and won't allow comments on this site, uses a third party hotel booker (also not allowed a mention here) but begins with a "G" who are totally inflexible.
This is a great location.the staff is helpful and you are able to easily walk to many Vancouver sites.
no slippers in room ...
Restaurant has very limited options and very rude staff. food taste poor and not worth money. Hotel is very small with limited facilities. I will not like to stay again.
Could store luggage there after cruise Nothing
In a world where wifi has become fundamental for communication and information, and is offered for free all over the world because it is an inexpensive way to draw business, the fairmont charges $14 per day. I would have paid if it was just included in the already expensive room rate. As intended, I didn't read the fine print and was shocked to find out I had to go to the lobby to work. I was on a business trip. Also, I had to set the thermostat to 90, the maximum, to warm the room. It was never comfortably warm.
This is a beautiful hotel and an exellent place to stay if you are leaving on or coming back from a cruise. The Arc restaurant is wonderful and all of the hotel staff are the best.. Our luggage was transferred to the ship for us which was a plus. The rooms are beautiful with spectacular views of the harbor and Canada Place.. We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer.
The customer service at this hotel was unbelievable. Shout out of gratitude to risa and stephanie up in the Gold Lounge. What an amazing experience. The hotel is literally across the street from the cruise terminal. Great running course along the sea wall. A cant-miss Vancouver hotel!!!!!
Location. Staffs For every little things I was charged , like domestic calls !!! Really?
Excellent service and attention to detail
LOVED THE Location and loved this Hotel! BEAUTIFUL
We had an amazing stay at the Fairmont. The entire staff was beyond helpful and friendly which really made the holiday. Always smiling and giving extra attention. Location is perfect. Right by the waterfront but also walking distance to shops and restaurants. Rooms were very comfortable plus clean and again super friendly staff making sure your every need is met and that you have a great stay. Highly recommend staying here. Everything was great!
Great room. Comfortable bed. Late night room service was excellent!
We thought that the bellmen were incredibly friendly and personable. We were given a complimentary drink at Arc as it was our anniversary; very thoughtful. Didn't like the fact that for a higher end hotel there wasn't free WIFI. Paying $13.95 for WIFI seemed too expensive when we paid over $500 for the night.
The property is a very easy walk (even in inclement weather) to the convention center. It excels based on value: a bit cheaper than the others but includes continental breakfast and a access to a nice fitness center.
Amazing location in downtown Vancouver to enjoy all the terrific city has to offer! Beautiful views and gorgeous rooms but it all boils down to location! Breakfast was a nice perk too!
I liked the breakfest Hotel conditions
close to train station coffee maker in room worked well Lions Pub was good felt safe Hotel is a few floors in a tall building...not a 4 or 5 star experience...harbor view was partial...breakfast very minimal, better at a sleep inn...furniture worn and outdated...not romantic
Location, helpful staff and access to fitness center were excellent. elevators and carpets ingeneral (rooms and aísles) are very deteriorated.
Location.. Going on Cruise and only 1.5 blocks from Cruise Ship Terminal. and 1 block from Train.... The Room Suite was well decorated and very comfortable, Clean and prepared for our arrival. Had booked 2 rooms and paid in advance. On arrival only showed one room booked. Staff worked to correct issue but only after turning attention to other parties who arrived at counter then came back to us. Poor Signage walled past the Hotel. Very poor continental breakfast , appears added as a after thought, not enough room or selection. Common areas on floor were not environmental regulated areas were hot and muggy
Location is very central Pool, fitness room, and all amenities that make a 4-star hotel a 4-star hotel were unavailable. Staff was hardly accommodating. Room deco was very outdated and not completely clean.
Beautiful, clean hotel. Spacious room with great views. Excellent service
Great location by Gastown and near train to Granville sand Yaletown. Super friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again. Offered upgrade at checkin for better room and continental breakfast and evening snacks. Food was mostly mediocre. Room was nice with deck, but near lounge area and heard doors close constantly.
Staff was very friendly and super helpful! Will love to come again!
All the staff were great and very polite (In the reception Kim and Jason are awesome). Excellent location and easy access. Price goes up if you try to stay an extra day
Well located downtown Vancouver hotel, recently tastefully renovated. Friendly, helpful staff. The toilet in our bathroom was located immediately in front of the sink which made access to the sink a bit awkward. New bathrooms are small.
Great customer service
Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were professional and courteous and made checking in easy even though our reservation didn't register accurately in Delta's computer system. They thought we would be checking in the day after we actually arrived. Alison at the front desk was able to check my confirmation email and fixed the issue right away. Parking company associated with Delta Vancouver were terribly rude and unprofessional. Parking attendants were not friendly nor helpful at all. They made coming in and out of the parking structure frustrating and annoying.
Everything was great no problems
This is solidly a two-star hotel. Admittedly this is my first and last experience in a Delta Hotel. There was nothing that I was used to experiencing in other Marriott-brand hotels. The room was spacious but the positives ended there. The "suite" was really an urban 1-br meaning there was a 3/4 wall dividing the bedroom from the living space, so we had to be super quiet once our baby went down for the night. Definitely not "suite". The room was clean-ish, but definitely dingy, maybe this was due to the age of the hotel. Definitely in need of an update. The mattress was VERY uncomfortable...surprising since this is usually the strong point at a Marriott. The couch was falling apart, the upholstery was separating at the seams and felt as though I was sitting directly on the hide-away frame beneath. The fixed shower pipe jutting from the wall was low and angled awkwardly sideways, making it difficult to aim the showerhead properly. I am only 6' and I had to contort myself awkwardly to wet my hair. We left a day early since we were not comfortable.
We didn't have a car, so being only a block and a half from Waterton Station was convenient. Front desk was very helpful. We paid to be on a Club Floor. It was worth it for continental breakfast, all day drinks and coffee, evening snack. The attendants there were really pleasant. I definitely recommend this hotel. Would have preferred a loveSeat to the two arm chairs in the room.
Hotel was nice. Spacious. Close to the waterfront sky train station. Neighborhood is in transitional neighborhoods. One block away is sketchy
Excellent location in downtown Vancouver. Parking is on site in a garage, but a bit confusing to find. Sofa in room was old and broken. Early 90s decor, but clean..
great room, beautiful reno, good sheets, clean and lovely bathroom
Room was charming Clean bathroom Comfortable bed Boutique exposed brick Location Great value for traveling young couple not concerned with tons of ammenities Room size is intimate
The hotel is quite the little historic gem, clean new bathrooms, and king sized beds. The room had a musty smell, if thats an issue be aware.
Breakfast, character, staff friendliness, style Shared bathroom
The room was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The room was quite small.
The style and decor of the hotel.
We enjoyed the heritage of the building. Loved the fresh lilies at the front desk. The bedding was luxurious. Didn't enjoy the front desk staff not greeting us when we walked through the lobby. Even if we aren't checking in or out a smile and hello is still appreciated.
Great location, just a block and a half from Hastings St., near restaurants and shops. Breakfast room was great to be in, listening to all the languages and accents. Hotel exudes old-world charm, and my room was very quiet. The lack of a writing desk was a problem, but I was able to use the nice desk in the communal hall on my floor. Most rooms share the bathroom, and the shower, among several rooms on that floor, but this was never a problem for me (staying almost a whole week). There was also no air-conditioning, but this was also never a problem, with the cool Vancouver weather (never above 70F during a week in July!) and a window that can stay open all day.
I liked how clean and comfortable and stylish the Victorian is, considering the affordable cost. Loved that there were computers for guests' use. And the staff were all extremely nice. I didn't like having to squeeze past the bed to get to the other side of the room. And I thought that the dining room could be a little nicer.
Very cozy overall. Nice clean room and spacious bathroom The hotel staff could be a little nicer
Comfortable charming accommodations. The hotel is undergoing renovations. There were no interruptions in service--but the noise! If it weren't for the charm of the place and the staff, I would have found another place to stay.
The staff was very accomodating and polite. The absence of an elevator. Although, I know that the hotel is patterned after the Victorian era but, it will be best for the occupants to have the benefit of such facility especially if one has heavy luggages.
Centralt läge och bra pris
Centralt läge med närhet till det mesta Flera av rummen hade " frostade fönster " som vette mot nästa byggnad med ett alltför nära avstånd = Inget insläpp av dagsljus . Frukostmatsalen låg i mörk källarlokal . Trångt och varmt . Ingen restaurang eller hotellbar
Mycket bra läge, fantastiska sängar de bästa jag har sovit i faktiskt. Lite klen frukost men ok.
Staff were very friendly and informative. I think because of the location and residents that also live the adjacent building they have taken appropriate steps to ensure security for guests. The neighbourhood is on the fringe of the Downtown Eastside which in terms of its proximity to Chinatown, Gastown and the rest of Downtown is great. Having said that because it is so close to the Eastside their are more undesirable people living there.
The hotel was in a pretty centralized location. It was adjacent to Chinatown and walking distance to the Gastown district and Canada Place. Did not experience any issues.
The friendly and helpful staff. The location is close to some great restaurants and brunch places. In walking distance to Gasstown and Chinatown. Close to airtrain. Lots of things to do nearby. The hotel room had a faint smell of fresh paint. It was also a little noisy Friday and Saturday night since night club half a block away. Some sketchy looking people hang out nearby since there is a clinic a block away. They didn't bother us though.
The hotel's decoration is unique and there is an art gallery of 1st Nations' art as part of the first floor. It is a very relaxing and welcoming place that I will return to in future Vancouver visits. The location was a rough area just outside the historic Gastown/Chinatown districts.
This hotel did not have anywhere near as many stars as we thought it should have. It's a fabulous, artsy hotel in a thriving metropolitan area of Vancouver. Every room is unique and there is a gallery attached that is full of original First Nations art!
It's a cultural experience Walking in the neighbour hood at night. Stay in a group
We loved how helpful the staff was, how clean the hotel was and how secure it was despite being near a not so excellent area of the city. I would only complain about the location. But by location I mean near a not so nice area of the city. I did love how close it was to restaurants, shopping centers, stadiums, and even a liquor store!
Walking distance to many attractions, public transportation, coffee, food, movies. Safe and secure parking. The hotel is a couple of doors from Health Clinic (probably free clinic judging by the patients). Although until 4:30 when clinic closes there are several shady looking characters nearby, they never bothered us.
Loved the ambiance of the place. And everyone was really nice there.
I must mention Rodrigo Pessoa the young man who served as our desk clerk and guide. He was efficient, courteous, and extremely helpful in orienting us to the area and its amenities. With his guidance we felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. There was nothing to dislike.
It wasn'thorrible, we had a private room and we're close to the washrooms. The hostel had a bunch of character too which was cool. Now that a hostel is like $10 less than a cheap hotel I'm always hoping I'm paying for character with hostels. The blankets, toilets and showers were all a bit less on the clean side.
Good if you're young and out and about to drink. They have a bar downstairs that's filled with energetic and sociable people and very close to the bars in Gastown.
If you like sleeping in a 90 degree room all night with any window access, this is the place for you
The beds were comfortable and it was a good location in Vancouver. This is definitely a hostel for people who are looking to party. This is not me. If it had been 5 years ago I probably would of enjoyed my stay more. The area it is in seems to be all about the nightlife and the bar downstairs is very loud until 2 or 3 in the morning. If wanna be a part of that scene and can sleep through that this place is for you! But if you're someone who likes to be asleep by midnight like myself you may want to seek out other options.
Close proximity to downtown Staff was not helpful. From what I was charged, this definitely was not a value stay as intended.
Very uncomfortable bed on the double room, super noisy! Don't expect to sleep much, the stairs are super noisy too and from 6am you can hear people already walking. Every time someone opens and close a door you will hear it too.
Great location and staff. Was given good directions on how to get into the hostel after closing hours and details on the parking in the area. The room had all we needed (bunk with a double and single bed for 3 people), the mattresses were comfortable and the sheets were clean. Had a sink in the room which was convenient. Got to see a real locksmith do work on the doorknob of my unit. The doorknob lock (the one where you turn the nub from the inside) needed a different key than the deadbolt, which was unavailable. Luckily we only tried using the doorknob lock the morning after we arrived, or else we would have gotten locked out of our room all night, but were still locked out for a couple hours until the staff came back during business hours. The situation was sorted out quickly by getting a locksmith who had to drill the doorknob because the locking mechanism was old and stuck together.
