The staff is very friendly and helpful, and offering a lot of service including daily housekeeping, washing machine/dryer use, printing of documents, fax service, phone use (all free if not used excessively), etc.. It is a quiet hotel with reliable internet at the nice cosy little room. It's simple and all I need. The only point that I can see may raise an issue is the location. It is close to downtown with great bus connections BUT the area is not safe (even though the hotel itself is). Downtown eastside is notorious for drug issues. There are homeless people everywhere around and all kinds of drug consumption can be observed. However, even though I am a solo traveling woman nobody has bothered me.
Hot water, cheap The location. The homeless population in Vancouver is remarkable, and the hotel is in the heart of this opiate afflicted community. There are homeless addicts shooting up on the streets. I've never seen this anywhere else. It is not safe to walk in this area at night. I can't recommend the hotel simply for this reason. They also don't have AC!! They have wifi which was worthless unless I was in the lobby. I was on 2nd floor and it wasn't working. You have to pay for parking.
