I did not like the fact I had to pay valet for parking or find my own. I feel if I m paying for the comfort of staying out of town then that is something that should be included.

Location was excellent, most staff was nice and helpful. If you wanted Wifi, you had to pay extra. Channels on the television had horrible reception 9/10 times. One bellhop was incredibly rude when I asked to use a luggage cart, that were kept in their storage room at the moment, as I had multiple heavy bags to load in my car. Parking was outrageous per day ($60). This parking fee was also not included on Kayak or Pricline.
The hotel was very nice and extremely close to all the sites (just blocks from the White House). The room, service, and location were far above what I would expect for the price. Would stay here again and will recommend to anyone visiting the DC area.
Spacious room with super comfortable bed. No warning for the loud construction noise just outside our bed window at 6:30 am Sunday and then 5:30 Monday am. When we complained the front desk said nothing could be done.
Friendly helpful staff in downtown DC. The air conditioning in the room wasn't very good. It didn't feel like it dropped below 70F while set to 60F in November.

Excellent location for much of downtown DC. Around Midnight my room filled with old cigarette smoke as someone began smoking in the stairwell. The air quality overall in my particular room was poor, requiring the windows to be opened as much as possible. This of course made it difficult to sleep as the city sounds in DC near The White House are loud and replete with sirens 24/seven. Normally, one might cover one's ears to have silence. However, at this hotel the pillows are the size for small children.

Room was very nice and clean, very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. However, parking in the garage was VERY expensive- $43 for one night. I sucked it up and paid it. I prepaid for the room for Kayak, so it wasn't a big deal. I saw that they had put a $50 hold on my card as well. After I left, they charged my card the $43 for the parking and released the $50 hold, but one week later, I still have a $43 hold for the parking on my card. After contacting the hotel, leaving messages for billing, the garage, and all types of people, I finally got through to Hilton Guest assurance who contacted management for me. The management's response was that this was standard practice and to take it up with the credit card company. The credit card company cannot do anything with pending charges. I've never seen a hold last so long, especially after they have collected their money.
Breakfast was pretty decent, though standard. Understaffed at front desk, toilet overflowed, and charged for undisclosed pet fee (booked via OTA).
Upon telling the desk clerk and manager at check-in that I had honeymooned at this hotel almost 47 years ago, they expressed genuine delight and immediately offered me a complimentary service. The following morning when I needed help with the timing of a couple of things, I discovered that the word about my stay had spread and a second manager took care of me with very attentive service. It's wonderful that a large, old hotel in a big city understands the importance of making the individual guest feel special.
The price was lower because the hotel is under construction so the price was cheaper. Room was very nice, bed was soft, bathroom was nice, and location was great. The layout is arkward because of the construction.
This hotel is the same every time I go excellent...I really love the little relaxation area near the escalators and bar. I also loved how clean it was...will definitely be staying here again...,it's perfect because it's only a 5min or so minute uber ride from like DuPont and Adams Morgan I didn't care for how high parking garage was it cost $40 dollars for parking so needless to say I didn't park (just parked on the street....also didn't really like how far the ice machine was lightyears away from the room be
Coffee Bean Housekeeping never cleaned the room even though we left at 1pm. I asked the front deask for towels when I came back at 11:30pm and they were not delivered until 12:30.
The staff (especially in the Executive Lounge) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our bed was very comfortable, the view was fantastic, and everything seemed up to date. We somehow snagged this Hilton Honors room and the frree wi-fi through Kayak. The location is on the edge of a residential neighborhood and a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There were a couple of hairs in the shower, but nothing too shocking. Parking overnight and hourly was so expensive that we had to search for street parking. Free wifi was only available in public spaces. Some of the facilities were closed (due to winter) or accessible only by Hilton Honors.
Nice beds. You have to pay for wifi. The handicap accessible shower was confusing to figure out and i nearly flooded the bathroom with it. And only single ply toilet paper? What kind of savagery is this?!

The Grand Hyatt is our favorite hotel. They have everything from good food to gift shops to a pool. I would highly recommend it! The room service options were slightly limited

The room was very clean, the price was reasonable for downtown DC. Went to get away and attend a Wizards game, and the location is perfect for attending events at Verizon. Would absolutely stay again. Pool water was cold.
Very nice amenities and the shower was great! I booked my stay two month prior for a King Bed for one night. When I got there, they said they were sold out of King Bed's and all they had were two doubles. Not the biggest deal, but what is the point of booking a King in advance if that is not what is available? Also, our room did have a musty smell to it when we first got it. After running the air for a bit, it went away.

That staff was very helpful and friendly. Also, the location was great. Very close to the Capitol building. We upgraded to a buffet breakfast, which was lacking and the hot food was cold. Not a good value at $25/ person, but at a hotel, I understand the price, but if the food is cold, then it was a waste of money.

We upgraded at check-in for an extra $50 which doubled the space. The location is excellent as it's walking distance to several sites. The fitness center is excellent and is included in the price of the room. Lack of parking requires you to valet for $56 a day. If you are somebody that needs a great view you won't find it here.

Location Hidden charges. $58 a night to park. Nowhere did I see that when I booked the trip. $8 for a draft beer that should be $3, I get a call from security in the evening waking me up, stating that the policy is to call if the do not disturb sign is out. The do not disturb sign was out, I didn't want to be disturbed. Couldn't go back to sleep. I'm a small business owner, if I treated my customers that way, I would be out of business. I will never give that hotel a dime again.
Spacious room, quiet, clean and well-appointed.
The room was nice until we looked out the window and found we had a great view of the roof... (sarcasm) Valet constantly begging for tips. Being from Vegas I tip almost excessively however if someone begs for it or nearly has his hand out the entire time it is not coming. It's called a gratuity for a reason. Then when delivering the vehicle no opening the trunk, and doesn't return the seat to where they found it or at least close. Not much effort in valet.

Location is ideal for seeing the museums and monuments. Lobby and restaurant staff are warm and welcoming. If you forget to tip housekeeping each morning, don't expect clean towels.

This is a gorgeous hotel. The entrance is very grand with beautiful chandeliers. The staff was attentive and polite. We checked in quickly and were given a large room with a balcony - even a spacious bathroom. The metro is very close if you're heading to the monuments or museums. Also the zoo is about a half mile up Conn. Ave. which was convenient. Adams Morgan is nearby and there are lots of great restaurants in between. You can't beat this location anywhere in D.C. I've stayed at the Omni in New Orleans, New York, and Richmond over the years. They are all an excellent choice. Nothing.

A party on our floor was raging til 4am when it was finally ended due to police intervention despite many phone call to front desk beginning at 10pm. Got $50 off stay but should have been completely comped.
Hotel is nice enough, clean and comfortable, polite staff, the normal positives from a hotel. Besides parking it was a very good experience. The only thing I would complain about is that parking in the area is incredibly difficult at best. The hotel has plenty of parking but it costs 50$ for overnight and there wasn't really any warning for this fact, if there was it would have been much less annoying.

I had to cancel my reservation due to an emergency, and was charged a full day at the hotel. I never stayed there. Very unfair.
I liked the size of the rooms. The elevators fit maybe 4 people. One of the two broke and we waiting for about 15 before we took the stairs from the 8th floor. We had a group of friends staying on the east end. Someone was throwing and party and you could hear them when we got off the elevatorl. It was unacceptable how loud there were. An hour later security came and did nothing. I was glad my room was on the other side of the hotel.
The OMNI is a beautiful hotel with a lovely garden and nice pool and gym. Excellent location for conferences in the Wardman Center just across. Good connection to metro. I had booked a room 3 months in advance including 4 days on a conference rate. 5 days before the main meeting I received an email telling me I had to move to an airport hotel, 30 minutes drive away from the hotel and the conference I was going to attend for the Tuesday and Wednesday night of my Sunday to Saturday stay because of a 'technical error' in booking. I had a meeting at the OMNI the very Tuesday. When calling them management (Chris) was non-accommodating and impolite and the offer of a refund to find another accommodation is little help 4 days before a conference with 4000 attendants. They offered to cover one of the nights in the airport hotel. Overall friendliness in the hotel was not at the level usually encountered in places of this level and I had to call at 14:00 one day to get the room serviced.

The staff at the hotel went out of their way to please us. In particular: Mr. Herb Wright greeted us daily with his million dollar smile and was always ready to be of assistance. Mekdes Pierce, Nathan and Limlin worked so hard each day in the lounge for breakfast and appetizers/dinner. They were so kind no matter how busy they were. Absolutely not one thing. It was an outstanding hotel.
I came down to ride my bike to all the museums and monuments. When I presented my claim ticket for my bike to the bellman my bike had been stolen. I spent 4 hours in the lobby filling out a police report

I would not recommend this. Overpriced, small bedrooms for 250. 27 dollars for a below-par breakfast. Sheets were soiled. No terrace despite photos that claim otherwise.
$72 for 3 bottles of water and 2 cups of tea is outrageous. I asked for still water, three times when placing order, and they brought sparkling. It was late so I didn't protest.
I came in at 4 and there was no water or mini-bar in the room. They told me that if I wanted a Diet Coke I would need to wait until room service was open at 5. In the morning, they didn't fill the breakfast order -- said they didn't get it. This for $400 a night? Hardly 4 star service.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Mayflower. My husband and I were there to renew our vows on our anniversary and the staff were extremely welcoming, making sure our room was ready several hours before normal heck-in hours so that we could get dressed and off to the ceremony in time. I can't think of a single thing that was less than exemplary- the loveliest hotel in DC!
.... Reserved through Kayak and pre-paid the hotel fees, but my credit card was charged twice for the hotel fees. Second time being charged $490 additional for inexplicable reason. I have been calling them and trying to get in touch with their accounting department since Sunday to no avail. Only thing I'm getting is voicemail and I have left 2 separate messages to inquire about the charges, but still haven't heard back anything.
My room was about ten years out of date, broken thermostat, etc. Entire hotel smelled like a small kitchen with no ventilation where someone had been cooking hamburgers. Gross.
Location. The exterior of the building was pretty. The doormen were busy talking to help me walk into the front door. They must've thought I belong at their hotel. I didn't like the way that I was treated when I checked in. Just because I have tattoos and wear jeans doesn't mean I don't have money to spend. I judge people based on appearance, as everyone does, but this man at reception treated me like trash. Couldn't even look at me. I asked for a king size bed and I got a room with two full size beds. I went down to ask for water since the room has ZERO amenities. The guy at the front desk handed me two tiny bottles of water. Jeez, thanks for the sip of water. I will never stay there again. The hotel is cheesy, lacks any character, and they need to tell their staff to respect everyone. Young, old, white, black, men, women, tattoos, yuppy, anything. You never know these days who's who, who has money, who has clout.
Really loved the location. The hotel was a stone''s throw from Metro Stations. The red line is literally next door and the Orange/Blue lines is a couple of blocks away. My wife and I really enjoyed the local restaurants near by. We normally try to find famous or highly rated fine dining for our anniversary but this year being in the middle of the city we went for more street food or local dining. We especially enjoyed the Sunrise Cafe for breakfast and Naan and Beyond for dinner, both just around the corner from the hotel. Lastly, we loved the price we got on Kayak. The average price of this place was $250 or $300, but we caught it one day at $150 a night. Never seen that price again and glad I pulled the trigger! The cost of wifi is too much. Usually these high priced places make even more on parking and wifi, but in this day and age its a wonder that they still charge for internet access. Luckily I have unlimited data and a hotspot on my phone for all our wifi needs.

The rooftop pool cannot be beat. It is a beautiful space with cabana and plenty of seating. The room was on the 10th floor making the pool and fitness center easily accessible. Within walking distance to the capital and the mall. Hidden fees, and outrageous parking price, poor attitudes of front desk staff, "free coffee" pretty pathetic, coffee maker in the room not ideal. We couldn't take personal food up to pool despite no signs saying so. I felt like a teenager being reprimanded for sneaking candy into a movie theater. Bar at pool does have food, but be prepared to pay high dollar for pretty average food, without a lot of options. Poor communication regarding hotel activities, woke up for yoga class early only to find it must have been canceled without anyone letting us know. Pool was closed at 5 pm, we weren't even allowed to put our feet in because there wasn't a lifeguard. Website clearly says pool open until 10. It overall was fine, nothing miserable, but some of these details led to a less then impressive stay.

The location was good. The decor was nice and what you would expect from a 4star hotel. They tried to charge us for umbrellas that were returned to the front desk. When I returned the umbrellas to the front desk, the lady was very rude for no reason. Two of the elevators were out of service and the other two seemed as if they would break soon. It was scary everytime getting into the elevator because it would shake and make a noise. Twice the door didn't close all the way completely, leaving a small crack, and the elevator would not move. I highly doubt I would stay here again because of the lady I dealt with that was rude and tried to charge me for umbrellas that were returned.
We enjoyed our stay at the Washington court hotel after the liaison did not have a room for us. We arrived at the liaison at 12 am hoping to get into our room quickly and get some rest. We waited in line for at least 30 minutes to check in, as other guests appeared to be having issues with check in. After finally reaching the check in desk, we were told that the room we had reserved was not available. The only available room had no bed, just a pull out couch that could only sleep one person. This situation was the same for another 5-6 parties attempting to check in after us. We were given the option of staying at another hotel down the street and switching back to the liaison for the second night of our stay. We decided to cancel our liaison reservation and stay at the other hotel for both nights. The entire situation was handled in a very unprofessional manor, adding stress and confusion to what we hoped to be a relaxing weekend.
Either the hotel or this booking service gave misleading info. Internet was listed along with TV, sofa, etc., as included. But then the hotel said internet was $14.95/day. They eventually agreed to not charge me for it.
The location was great, good value for the room however parking was an additional $54/night. Try out Art and Soul restaurant, delicious! Parking. But in DC I guess it's standard...
I liked the decor and unique style of the hotel. I checked in at night so when we arrived we were able to appreciate the dim lighting and music. There was a lot of activity going on over at the bar/restaurant. People seemed to be enjoying them selves. The room was nice and clean. I liked the products in the bathroom. The bed was comfy and the lighting was modern and unique. It took 20 minutes of standing in a very short line before I was checked in. There was a jug with fruit infused water for guests to enjoy. But there was also an overflowing trash can of plastic cups right next to it. There was only one person assisting customers. When I gave my name and info, the representative had a hard time. I showed her my reservation on my phone. She looked at it for at least 3 minutes and then told me that I need to call Kayak to get my confirmation#. I was confused and asked shouldn't she call them (since I stood in line for so long). Luckily I found what she missed on my reservation and she was able to check me in. Later that evening, we were given the number to a local restaurant that delivers. We ordered food. The next morning there is a receipt for a long distance call on the floor near the door. When I called the front desk about it, the rep said they would talk to their manager. When I checked out that day, I mentioned it and the representative at the desk dismissively said that her boss took care of it. No apology or friendly demeanor to spare I suppose. The carpet in the lobby needed vacuuming. It looked like the day after a party in the lobby.

The room was a little bit too much in regards to modern art deco. There was no two lamp that was the same. Parking cost $48 overnight,
They didn't let us into our hotel room until very late in the day we arrived due to slow housekeeping service. Upon checkout, we realized we had forgotten a few items in the closet. I called the front desk to tell them of the issue and they said they would take care of it, but when I showed up a few hours later to grab my bags from the coat room and go to the airport, they had no record of me having called and couldn't locate our items left in the closet. One bellman went out of his way to help out and was able to find some but not all of our clothes.

Beautiful and clean We were given a handicapped room and the bathroom facilities made it difficult to shower and relax. We were also told there was no charge on parking when booking and then charged.
Embassy Row is a gorgeous area to stay. The interior design aesthetic was fun and well done! It was easy to relax and feel comfortable. The "Adult Rec Room" was a fun detail as well. Never did I see the staff without a smile. They were eager to help with everything from handling wet umbrellas to dining recommendations . Very close to the Metro, so navigating was a breeze. The A/C is loud inside the rooms. (But only a problem if you're a light sleeper.)
Nothing Small room and very noisy
This hotel has just been totally renovated, it is literally steps away from a metro station (key in DC). I stayed here at the last minute recently and will be back.
The beds were very comfortable. I wish there was a mini fridge in the room and the room need better lighting.
It was a beautiful hotel, and the staff was very friendly. There were no ice machines, the wifi never worked the whole time we were there and they charged you for it. We had to call maintenance 4 times because AC would not turn off.

The renovation & new decor is pretty much complete! The hotel looks beautiful! The facility is great, comfy, and has a lot to offer. Our stay was okay and went smoothly. The young man who checked us out on Sunday was super friendly and very nice! (wish we would've had him at check in) Check in at 1am was a bit rough and staff was not very friendly. Being giving some information or offer of any help or to answer questions would have been nice. Knowing about the breakfast foods in the AM would have made things a little nicer also.

The Embassy Row is a trendy well-decorated hotel in a modern style, recently renovated. Excellent location, nice rooftop with small pool. Good food on rooftop... they have a limited selection but only $10 for each item at the grill. The staff seemed confused at every turn whenever we asked a question, particularly about pool access. They were friendly but unclear. The hotel charged us an extra $10 per day for amenities without fully explaining this ahead of time. When we asked about this upon check-out, front desk staff said it is for wi-fi, rooftop, fitness center, etc. Why is that not just included in the nightly rate? Also, parking is very expensive ($45/night).
Very cool rooftop pool and bar geared towards adults with excellent live DJ. Gay-friendly atmosphere. Clean and modern furnishings. Fun, young vibe. Service could have been more professional. Hotel seemed understaffed. Pool area needs more lounge chairs as seating was very limited. Rooftop bar offerings were limited and bartender skill was somewhat below expectations for such a cool space.
The beds were very comfortable, the decor is very stylish and the staff couldn't have been more welcome and helpful. The perfect place to stay in DC near great restaurants, the metro, cool neighborhood. Will stay again!

We heard a dog barking and were immediately moved to a lovely room. The concierge helped us try to get a taxi under very difficult circumstances.

Det som ändå är en stor besvikelse är at jag inte ens kunde stå rak när ja skulle duscha utan fick stå med böjda knän, jag är 180cm lång... Det är jag inte ensam om att vara =) Trots att de va 4- stjärnigt, då anser jag att jag iaf ska kunna stå raklång i duschen!

We took our friends and business partners on a east coast vacation trip. Our last stop was the Mandarin Oriental. What a wonderful end to a great vacation!! We only wish we could have spent more time at your magnificent hotel. Everyone we had contact with were very cordial and accommodating. We will definitely return for a longer stay to see some of the sights we missed on this trip. We will also be staying at your great hotel. Thank you for all the wonderful service, till next time.
