Cozy or just small?
The bed was fairly comfortable and the television was a fair size in comparison with the room. The staff were polite and friendly upon arrival and checkout. The shower was hot and powerful.
There was a chandelier in the room. Maybe they’re trying to be a bit posh, but if that’s the case, they might want to change out the dead lightbulbs. The chandelier also doesn’t make up for the fact that most prison cells are larger than that single room. The bathroom was tiny and felt cramped, and the shower made me feel a bit claustrophobic. I know that European hotels run a bit on the small side compared to most American hotels, but sometimes bigger really is better. Also, that spiral staircase is one drunken mishap just waiting to happen.
Great breakfast. Good WiFi
Bathrooms were small
The ANNO 1647 Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is a calm and friendly oasis in the middle of the urban landscape. Located at Slussen, Sodermalm, it offers views over Stockholm’s Old City and the waterfront. The business district, Stockholm’s Central Station, a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars are all located within easy reach. The hotel consists of two buildings, linked together. The front building was built in 1647 while the back building was built in the middle of the 18th century. Our combination of historical premises and modern interiors makes it an accommodation with a unique character. The rooms all differ from each other and if the building itself could tell you about its own history you would be awake all night. Since the buildings are historically listed, they do not have elevators. The 17 century building has over 300 years of history in one of Stockholm’s oldest blocks. It is the small details that make you realize you are staying in a historical building, which is what makes the ANNO 1647 Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western a hotel with a difference.
