Minus: You did not mention that car had added charges based on mileage. I ended up canceling and felt tricked into it. Not fair

Plus: Nothing

Minus: The fact you need a credit card

Plus: Loved the Jeep Wrangler

Minus: The car had a tire with half the safe level of tire pressure, so I was getting crisis alerts on the dashboard the whole time. The windshield was dirty and there was no windshield wiper fluid.

Plus: My SW airline flight was cancelled due to national recall of the aircraft type. The rebooked flight got me in 4 hours early, and the Budget system would not honor my rate. The agent worked over 30 minutes, with a long line, to figure out a by-pass of their system to get me the same rate.

Minus: Safe tires. After two days, I noticed excessive wear on one of the tires. I looked at all 4, and found one whose tread was so worn you could not see the tread in the center. I did not think I'd make it back to drop off without a flat, and limited my driving as a result. I have a photo if interested

Plus: Drop off was ok. The one worker was polite

Minus: This place is terrible. They knew there was fourty people coming in the night we arrived to pick up a car. They only staffed it with one at counter and in lot. I waited an hour and a half. Some people waited longer. My car smelt like smoke. They said they could not swap. Stay away from this place!

Plus: Easy to book

Minus: Car rented was a high miler. Heard some on and off noise while driving to a medical meeting and was told by the resort attendant that the front cowling was dragging on one side. Spent hours trying to contact someone to report to and was finally told to return car to the nearest Avis renter center. That was where I rented the car at the airport in ABQ (25 miles away). So I returned the car 36 hours later after my meeting ended . Problem explained at check in and was told they would look into it. Major complaint is the lack of convenient/reliable communication when something goes wrong.
