very clean and freindly staff
Curtieous staff, clean rooms, right off the interstate, complementary breakfast, all we needed and could ask for. A true value!
Room was clean and the bed comfortable The office and breakfast were in a separate building too far a walk in cold weather.
Days Inn Staunton was a fantastic place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to help us when we had a problem. The manager of the property (Billy) clearly cares a great deal about his guests. I will plan to stay here again on my next drive to Florida. Everything was better than expected!
I was looking for a clean, quiet and inexpensive hotel while in the area on family business. This hotel filled the bill perfectly. Excellent value and I will stay there again.
Quiet, comfortable, convenient to interstate, cost
It was close to everything we were going to and very easy on/off to highway. The continental breakfast did not have any protein items.
It served the purpose of clean place to spend the night. The glass lamp was broken.
A fantastic motel! I highly recommend. Some of the reviews note the age of the facility but they've done a great job renovating. The room was pleasant, very clean, and comfortable. The bed and pillows were plush. The costumer service was friendly and engaging. Stay here! It was 3 miles from the town but located right off I-85. Easy to access.
Incredibly friendly staff, recently renovated. Having my room on the first floor was less than ideal
the room was very comfortable with all necessary stuff and facilities. everything was very good. the breakfast was not very various but sufficient
Good value for price Breakfast was very simple
Probably the best pet friendly hotel we have ever stayed in
Nice layout for the room; also nice, clean & quite. Staff was great.
I slept well. Did not feel welcome. Woman who checked us in seemed annoyed.
The location was convenient. There was an outbreak of bedbugs in Virginia so we inspected the bed first thing. There were no bedbugs (Thank goodness). There was hair ALL over the one bed though. It looked like the sheets were not cleaned at all.
They accept pets. The staff actually changed the changed my room to accommodate bringing my dog into the side entrance/exit and gave me an end room. Not that I can think of.
Decor in the rooms
close from the interstate no
Easy access to I-81, friendly staff, modern, good breakfast Cleanliness: long dark hair on sheet, white powder behind mattresses, soiled bed drapes, dusty box spring covers, stained toilet bowl (calcified), bad odor from AC unit, mirror smeared, wet and soiled ice bucket
Due to the snow storm I could not make the trip. The manager was kind enough to refund my money

Clean, pretty, great service. Nope! It was all great!
I stay here regularly on my way between Atlanta and NYC. The hotel is comfortable although not luxurious, but the location is excellent. Shops, restaurants and the Shakespeare theater are all a short walk away.
Friendly staff, in walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops
Very clean. Beautiful house. Friendly staff. Breakfast was Great! Parking is up a steep gravel hill. We arrived on a motorcycle and it was a little tricky. No problem for a car.
Gracious owner - lovely porch for sitting. Wonderful breakfast. Beautifully decorated - it deserves an article in "Southern Living"! Lots of stairs - two small flights just to get to the entrance. Rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors - so would be difficult for anyone with walking problems. Otherwise great place in an interesting town.
This place was quaint and an easy walk from there into town. The owner was very nice and breakfast was lovely. The bathroom was updated and I enjoyed having a robe provided since it was a shared bath. The room showed 2 single beds online but was a double bed when checking in. The room was much colder than the rest of the house. The cheap wrapped soaps and plastic-wrapped plastic cups in the bathroom took away from the ambiance of the place.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was adequate. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it had a workout room. When I went to workout the night I arrived I noticed that the room would not open until 8 am the next morning. That was very disappointing. I am traveling and would like to be on the road by 8 - 8:30 in the morning. I like to get up early and get my workout in before leaving. That was not possible. They did offer that I could go across the street to a gym they had ties with, but that kind of defeated the purpose of staying at a hotel with a fitness room on site.
Great free breakfast selection--probably the best I've had at a standard hotel Thin walls
Hotel employee and her staff were fantastic! Warm, informative, accommodating & the perfect hosts! Not staying longer!
I liked everything about it. The staff was way better than I had expected. Everything about it was wonderful There was nothing I didn't like.
The room and public spaces were immaculate and beautifully decorated. The food and service was equal to the best B&B experiences we've had in other countries and the US. Best of all was the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable owner and staff. We'll return
nice clean room, comfortable bed. breakfast is great. quiet, beautiful surroundings.Room between rooms insulation is good. guests rest early, no shower after 11. neither before 7. can hear upstairs walking and shower, stuff dropping on floor.
Wait staff and dinner menu. Room was also excellent. Refrigerator made a high-pitched humming noise.
We wanted to enjoy it, but we couldn't. Stains on carpet in room. Ripped shower curtain. Sounds of toilet seats slamming in other rooms throughout the night. Battery cover on back of TV remote was missing....batteries kept falling out. Waited 20 mins for breakfast once we ordered... when it came out, my omelette, toast, and home fries were ice cold. When I checked out of the hotel, I was asked how our stay was. I responded by saying "It could've been better". The reply from the girl behind the counter..."Looks like you reserved through a 3rd party, so I can't give you a receipt". What? You don't want to ask why I didn't enjoy my stay? Overall a very unpleasant experience.
Beautiful view and great location. Very friendly staff. Will definitely stay there again. Nothing
Clean modern looking hotel with friendly staff. God breakfast and cookies in the evening. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful decor and services. View is fantastic. Difficulty upgrading room with an on-line booking. Overcharged my card and had trouble reconciling it.
Building has lots of charm and character. Owner did mean well and cares about guests. She is very friendly. Hair in bathtub; dust in corners and under bed; dead and live bugs in room.
Food was good. Staff very friendly. TV didn't work. Bathroom needs renovation.
The woman at the front desk was super nice and welcoming. The bathroom was dirty and outdated. One of our towels had a stain.
I liked the location, it was close to the horse show which we were attending. The bathroom was disgusting with black mold around the tub, the bath mat was gross. I mean it was nasty. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. I'll not returen.
Dirty floors with blackened smudge, band aid wrappers on floor, telephone did not work, no TV guide in room, no tissues in dispenser, beer bottle caps under mattress, dirty sheets, insufficient bedding, toilet paper roll not folded over to indicate bathroom was clean, noisy, construction going on, no aforemention of this, wise cracking front desk lady. Avoid this joint, and hope you don't bring any hitchhikers with in your luggage.....
Nothing really. It was bad Nothing was remotely up to par
My husband and I stayed at Motel 6 the weekend of October 1. This was a very busy weekend for Staunton and hotels were filling up fast. Despite booking online at the last minute our room was available and clean when we arrived to check in around 2:00 pm on Friday Sept 29. We had a newborn and two small dogs with us; there were no additional fees for any of them (I called ahead before showing up with them in tow). The location is close to the interstate but is not surrounded by other businesses; it was quiet at night. The free coffee was a nice touch. If we ever return to Staunton we will probably stay here again.
It was okay for one night Continental breakfast was minimal
The accessible room was, well, roomy, and impeccably clean. The pool was not clean, and the breakfast was meager.
Their wasn't anything we liked about this property! The sheets were paper thin, the shower sweet had thick soap scum on it. The lamp didn't have a switch to turn it on or off. The coffee was the worse we ever had! The front desk takes your credit card and emboss it, which is wrong. The vpamy needs to update the process of how you pay. The desk clerk was rude!
Very clean and easy access! Well maintained, but dated furnishings and tv.... No flat screens, old school tv sets.
Mattress was extremely hard. I felt like I was sleeping on a board.
Cheap, has a bed. There were enough chairs in the room to barricade the doors. Close to wintergreen resort. There was a mystery puddle of water on the bathroom floor that was dripping down from the room above us, there were two dirty mattresses leaning against the wall of our room, and there was no coffee maker in the room. There was a group of weirdos loitering on the hotel balcony when we first checked in.
