Not much Slow! Check in. No parking. Scary location. Over priced
Price was 50% less than others listed. Location was great. Pool, Breakfast, Room Size were all what we expected. Young man at front desk took care of everything we asked for. Room was only partially cleaned before our arrival. Trash had not been emptied, soap and shampoo was left in shower, & towels were restocked but previous guests towels were left on the floor. Hair dryer did not work and they were unable to provide a replacement before we had to depart.
Good continental breakfast View of Burger King drive thru.
The pillows were nice, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was sufficient. The beds were very hard.
When we stayed there were only a handful of guests in the hotel that night. After spending the night in Pueblo the night before with a person coughing all night in the next room, I was surprised to find that the hotel assigned the room next to us with another patron with a bad cough. I felt that with so few guests, they could have left several rooms vacant between each one.
Quincy at the front desk was very helpful - paper plates and plastic utensils at breakfast. For such a nice facility i would hope to have real plates and utensils.
clean and quiet Next time I want to stay on the ground floor.
Staff was very kind and helpful. Let us check in early and was able to arrange for late check out. Kitchen staff friendly.
Front desk staff was very accommodating and friendly, the breakfast was super and the place was very clean.
Bed was not comfortable. Seemed to crater to the center
Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Staff was kind and helpful.
The gym had up to date equipment, and plenty of free weights. The room was very clean. The staff was welcoming. For some reason they didn't clean our room after the first night.
Staff made us feel so welcomed. Bed was so comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
Clean, easy to register, quiet, very friendly staff. Fridge and microwave in room with complimentary water, juice, and snacks. We used to live in Alamosa, and this motel is very much like coming back to a home there. Recent renovations are nice. There was a new television in the room with a good selection of channels and a strong signal. The location made it difficult to pull onto the highway. Also, the Wifi signal came and went, but it was still good to have Wifi offered.
The family that owns/operates this motel is so kind and considerate; there was free water, juice, snacks, coffee, and tea available. They treat their guests like actual people and it was quite nice. The room was incredibly clean, great attention to detail. I will be staying here for any return trip I have to the area!
My wife, teenage son and I needed a place to stay for a night on our way to our final destination. We were traveling over the Fourth of July holiday week. I did some searching online for motels on our route, in a few different towns that I thought would be a potential stopping spot, as we were literally just looking for a place to sleep overnight, I was mostly concerned with cost. Amenities weren't much of a consideration. The Riverside Inn was the most affordable place I found. In honesty, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised that although the property appears to be older, it isn't run down. No pool or workout room. This is an old fashioned motel for travelers, not necessarily a destination. We checked in at the front desk after 9:00 at night. Rang the doorbell, and the desk clerk came out immediately. He wasn't extremely talkative, but very cordial and professional. The check in process was quick and easy. I paid my fees, got our key, and went to the room. My wife went inside the room while I was taking care of some things on our vehicle. She returned to the door and announced "This place is cute as a button.", and then turned on a porch light, which was quite helpful since it was late and dark outside. My wife used to clean rooms at a ski resort, so has quite a thourough process of checking room cleanliness. When I got our things inside, she told me that the room was very clean. My son, who rarely travels, so was exited to be staying in a motel, told me that he thought it should be rated as at least a three star motel. It is what I would describe as rustic. Our room was small, but comfortable, with a sitting area, main bed area and large bathroom. The ceiling had exposed log beams, and the entire room looked to have fairly new paint. All necessities were there. We had plenty of towels, shampoo, and soap. There was a small T.V. in the sitting area, and a larger one in the bed area. There was a microwave, coffee maker, juice, water, granola bars, coffee and tea. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner worked well, if a bit noisy. Check out was even easier than check in. We were instructed to just leave the key in the room and close the door. We did so, and got back on the road refreshed and well rested.
The price was great . The beds were comfortable and room clean. The front desk was very friendly! Could use a new sofa couch in the room.
Not much Bathroom had no fan and smelled of mold. Small room and dark inside. Fan on low was real noisy. Internet either did not work or was real slow.
Not really pleased with the price for the quality. Manager did not accommodate us as we would have hoped.
The rooms are clean and the staff was polite. The hotel is a very basic place. It's right on the highway, so half of the rooms overlook the road and get lots of noise. The hotel does not have WiFi, despite the claims otherwise. WiFi is available on site, but it does not work. I've come to accept that hotel WiFi will be painfully slow, but at least you should be able to connect. We could not. We will not be staying at this hotel in future visits to Alamosa.
It was great all around. My go to hotel when I need one in town.
The staff were so friendly and the hotel had everything we needed so we could stay in for the night. The food at Country Kitchen left a lot to be desired.
Nice indoor area. Old holidome. Pool facility was closed for painting and that was the reason we stayed there specifically, so we had a very upset child. No elevators, so it was a lot of work dragging all of our belongings with kids up the stairs and down the long hallways.
Well located for people visiting the Great Sand Dunes. The place was clean and moderately priced. When we entered the room, the window to the parking lot was wide open. It was on a first floor, so it seemed like a security concern. The breakfast is a joke. Their "omelettes" come pre-cooked and pre-packaged in individual plastic bags, sitting in a small fridge on the side. They looked pretty bad
I loved the fact that everything was nice an comfy. I really liked that it was very close to the Mexican restaurants. I loved the entire stay here. I will stay here again when i go through Alamosa. It was hard to find but not that bad once you call the front desk for directions.
The first room had someone else's left overs still in the fridge and the toilet was covered with pee. Disgusting!!!
very clean great staff and great breakfast
close to the locations I needed for work friendly staff ease fo checkin/out last guests coffee grinds and residue left in the pot breakfast was a joke stains on the carpet in the room non-smoking room smelled slightly like smoke
Nothing, checked in and saw the room. Walked out. Put us in smoking section which was not requested, but nothing else was available. Room was dingy, dirty, holes in walls. Not fit for a dog. We walked out even though we didn't have a room elsewhere. We did find a room, but I would have slept in my car instead of staying at this Days Inn.
I was glad that this motel has breakfast. Nothing fancy to be sure, but when you have kids it's nice to be able to feed them something in the morning before you get going. The staff was very friendly and helpful - a very nice family. They also gave us a 20 percent discount card for IHOP next door and that was very nice. Although the room was fairly clean, when i moved the nightstand to plug something in, i discovered a huge pile of toenail clippings. Also, the deadbolt did not work. The management said not to worry because the neighborhood is safe and they have cameras. But a murder on camera is still a murder. The bathroom is tiny. The shower sucks. Everything needs caulking. When we arrived at home a couple of days later, i discovered these strange welt-like bites on everyone. Lots of them. Not mosquito. I don't know what. We weren't outside much at all. I hope to God they are not bed bugs. I am taking measures to prevent them from entering my house if this is the case. But what a pain in the butt.
