We stayed in room 626 and it took many minutes to get hot water in the shower. My wife waited the needed 3-5 minutes. I became impatient and just took a cold shower.

My husband and I stayed here before we left for our honeymoon, and it was a great pick! They gave us complimentary chocolate strawberries and sparkling water as a gift for being newlyweds. We loved it! Nice walking distance to Georgetown, right next to the metro.
The hotel is located very well. It is walking distance to Arlington cemetery or to Georgetown. The hotel is few steps from the subway station Rosslyn. We were very pleased to be available coffee and tea on the room. We recommend very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and helpful staff.
Had a great experience. Very courteous and prompt staff. I ended up getting a head cold during my stay and they had cold medicine available for purchase so I didn't have to trek out to the local CVS or Walgreens. Would definitely stay again.
The area was a nice part of D.C., it is right next to the metro which is great. Very nice staff. No continental breakfast, but food price wasn't too shabby. Wish there was a pool.
I wish I could bring the bathroom home with us. Kept amenities (water, coffee, towels, etc.) stocked and staff was very friendly and timely. I would most definitely recommend for young couples and business trips. Not a family hotel (which is one reason my boyfriend and I chose it). It's also directly across from a metro station, which was very convenient because parking's a nightmare in Arlington and D.C. No free wifi and not great reception for Verizon customers. Parking is a bit tight, but it's secure.
I thought the hotel and rooms were fantastic. I was very comfortable throughout my stay. Booking through Kayak got me a great deal, and it was definitely a steal to stay here. The location was perfect - right next to the Rosslyn metro stop. I was within walking distance of the Arlington Cemetary and Iwo Jima monument. There were several restaurants in the area that catered to a variety of tastes, which was really convenient. The hotel even provided a list of nearby restaurants with estimated travel times. I'd recommend a stay here! When I entered the hotel to check in, I was greeted by two men welcoming guests into the hotel. There was one man at the desk checking in a woman and her two daughters, and I stood in line behind them waiting to be helped. A few minutes later another man walked in and was greeted by the two men at the door; however, this time one of the men walked behind the desk and said he'd be happy to check the newcomer in. Well, what about me? I was standing in line way before him! I decided to let it go because I am not one for causing scenes. Well, a few minutes later it happened again with another new guest - she was also taken before me. Not sure if it was because I look young, wasn't dressed as nicely as these other guests, or was mistaken for one of the woman's daughters, but I should have been helped before the two people who arrived after me. In general, the people at the desk weren't as friendly with me as other (better dressed) guests. I'm a woman in my early 20s and was traveling alone - probably an indicator that I won't spend as much money as older men in business suits or families with children? Also, no free WiFi is a bummer. Things also didn't look as clean as they could have - dusty TV remote, water rings on tables, etc.
The Metro was just outside the front door and it made for very easy trips on the metro. The airport is only two stops away and you avoid the hassle of traffic if you don't have too much luggage to carry. I saw several families there so I think it would be a nice place for families too. And of course, the service was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very quiet, no outside noise what so ever despite the location. Nothing that set apart the Ritz from the others, room, furniture, bathroom was very medicore and what you get from any other hotel in the same class.

Square "rainwater" shower looks nice, but gives too little water pressure. Valet parking service wasn't very fast retrieving cars - looked a little understaffed.

Close to trains and Metro After checking in, I was asked to sign a form that said I could be removed from the hotel if I violated certain policies, such a son excessive noise, music, etc. No problem because I was there with my fiancée and we were tourists. For 2 nights we were kept up by the. Dry thing they asked all guests not to do (loud noise late night). After making calls to front desk to complain for two nights, nothing was done. The last night was the worst because we had to get up early to catch flights home, and we got no sleep. Why have a policy if you are not going to enforce it?
The restaurants are great especially Sky Dome. It is a little on the pricey side. My bill was $224 for 6 family members, and two of nieces shared a plate. The food was great, though. The hotel is in front of the pentagon which was great. It is literally 8 minutes from the national mall and capitol hill. The staff was great. You must pay wifi and parking. The cleaning people gave us damp towels every day. The windows to view outside were dirty, so when you took a picture you could see the fingerprints.
Location and view The refrigerator didn't work. I thought I was getting two queen beds but I got two full size beds. The feathers was coming out of the comforters. The fan in the room was so loud it was hard to sleep. No air fan in the bathroom!!! Cable kept freezing up so I couldn't watch TV!!!

Morning staff was rude beyond belief! I'm still in awe of her attitude. Brown water came out of the shower head leaving black residue on the tub floor. Sheets and pillows had little specks of dark red dots.

Im certain our sheets were not clean, as there was hair ( not ours ) present. The door that seperates the two rooms looked as if someone threw a cup of coffee at it. There was a hankerchief with bodily fluids on it in the closet. The door on the tv stand fell off the hinges which im sure theyll charge me for woth the surprise $150 that theyre holding from me. The parking garage was full, and the complimentary shuttle does not bring you to the dc atteactions. Which made it difficult with small children.
Loved the huge rooms with mini fridge. Location was perfect, right by the airport, 10 minutes from museums. Very comfortable stay. The Skydome was incredible. Parking costs at least $30 whether you self park or valet each day. They were also demolishing the hotel next door which looked awful and was loud at times. It wouldn't have deterred me from staying there however.
I had to pay an extra $30.00 per night for parking. I was mad about this extra cost added to my bill. I was mad. Talked to the manager and they said they cannot fo anything about because o booked through your website. I will not be staying at another Double Tree in the future or using your website to book another hotel.
Area I went to sleep soon as I got there I asked for a wake-up call at 2am when I got up I noticed my leg itching and my arm so i looked around the bed blanket. Easy walk to Rosslyn Metro even for a 5 and 7 year old-easy access to DC. Pool was small to medium size--fine for young kids (shallowest point is 3.5 feet but quickly deepens to 4 feet). Breakfast is served on top (17th) floor...great view across the river to DC. Refrigerator didn't work (well, the light did, but that's about it) so our breakfast food went bad overnight (yea, I know, I should have double-checked it). However, I contacted the front desk and they comped us free breakfast for a family of 4 without any hassle.
The view and the location for the price was unbeatable. Restaurant upstairs was pretty wonderful as well. We had some problems at checkin. One of the staff members tried to downgrade our room to double beds when we had reserved a king. She did compensate us with a breakfast coupon, however. When we got to the room the view was not as good as she had expressed and the beds were small so we went back down and were taken care of by the shift supervisor who not only let us keep our coupon but also found us a room with a higher floor and a king. I guess what bothered me about this was that it was supposed to be a relaxing get away and it began a little stressful.
The staff was very helpful and polite. I really enjoyed the fact that we were so close to the metro. The room was kind of grungy. The sink overflowed twice. The bathtub was dirty looking to a point that my one night stay did not qualify for a shower. The hotel is very simple. Nothing special to offer in quality except the staff is superb! The value for the money with the given location was not bad. Also our room had a balcony with a beautiful view of city life and a door that actually opened! That was a definite plus.
I had a spacious room with good views and a couple of terraces to boot. The room was clean and quiet. The price was right. The quality of food in both Potomac Perk and The Vantage Point were poor. The Vantage Point has a nice view though and is a good place to get a drink,

Free parking, the metro is right across the street so you can get pretty much get anywhere in DC quickly, the rooms were a pretty decent size and very comfy. No microwave, if you end up on the 16th floor....you can hear the restaurant above you. The bathroom was kinda small and the shower was outdated compared to the rest of the room.

Hotel was a great deal. Its not downtown DC, but with the proximity to the metro right across the street it doesnt matter. You can get from the hotel to the National Mall in 15 minutes. Free onsight parking was great. You get what you pay for here. It certainly isnt a 5 star hotel, but it isnt a dump either. Its perfect for a weekend getaway if youre just looking for somewhere to rest your head for the night without too many bells and whistles. Small shower.

Nice lobby bar staff. Location is right near metro so very convenient. Lobby is nice and spacious. There wasn't anywhere to sit outside - no rooftop lounge, courtyard or even outside sitting area. That was frustrating. Wifi was expensive unless you are a starwood preferred guest -- JOIN!

Bed was comfortable, hotel was clean. The great price you get from Kayak does NOT include parking, an additional $34, or Wifi, an additional $15! They charged for the parking and wifi even though I included them in my search. The hotel desk staff was pretty nasty about it when I questioned it. By the way, that extra parking charge was not removed even though every time we needed to exit we had to run back inside the hotel to get them to lift the arm on the gate, which would not read or card, or anyone else's.
I made my reservations over almost 2 months in advance for a traditional room with one king sized bed. I arrived at the hotel early so I could fix up the room with rose petals and surprise my fiancé. When I checked in, Daniel at the front desk told me that I would have to settle for 2 queen size beds when that is not what I requested in my reservation. He proceeded to tell me that for the cheap rate I was getting on the hotel through hotels.com, that I should be happy with the room I have for the amount of money I paid! I was insulted, if I requested a king sized bed then that is what I should have gotten, and although I did receive a great deal on hotels.com that should not take away from what I requested! What I had planned for my fiancé was totally ruined because we couldn't even sleep in the same bed because the bed was so small, and I was laying on the edge the entire time ! Very unromantic and disappointing!
The linens were clean and overall pleasurable stay Some of decor is very out of date. The ceiling has the stippled look and it feels very 90s. Simple and cheap fix would change the entire ambiance of the rooms
our room was clean - comfortable bed - nice shower - our room had two TV's and a pullout sofa bed. i ordered breakfast - 2 items to be taken back to my room for me and my spouse. i received the wrong order - I came back and they were very hospitable - apologized and allowed me to keep the wrong order and offered to make the correct order. Which was very nice of them but the quality of the food was very very poor. I ordered an omelet and sausage gravy & biscuits. The sausage gravy was as if someone used flower and bacon fat to made a sauce and then added bits of meat - it was not good at all. The biscuits so to speak were stale slider buns grilled. Burned actually. I understand that a hotel restaurant is most likely going to charge more but I expect that the quality of the food to be better than what was presented. Also - I found it surprising that in a suite with 2 TVs there was no mini refrigerator. Also - there is a "Starbucks" in the mezzanine level of this hotel. The Starbucks was not very well stocked and I have a dispute on the charges on my card. My order came to $25 and some change. However as I am looking over my online banking charges - it states I was charged $30 and change. I purposely did not tip on my card because I put cash in the tip jar. It appears as though I was charged an additional $5 on top of my order for tip. I am not pleased with the amenities of this hotel and would certainly pay more elsewhere to avoid the things I encountered this past weekend.

The pool was so nice to have after a busy day of touring. The food in the pub was very good and extremely reasonably priced. We actually ate there every night. The availability of Starbucks on sight was great. We were able to chose between there and the restaurant for breakfast. The staff was extremely accommodating and we were able to take the shuttle to the metro on a rainy day as well as to church.
My husband and I splurged on this hotel and were surprised to have this be the worst hotel that we have ever experienced. I called the staff earlier in the day to inform them that we would be arriving late. They told me that everything would be ready for are arrival, however this was far from the truth. The staff told us that they had overbooked the hotel and that they would be moving us to a hotel down the street and they would cover $10 of expenses. The staff was not apologetic and was in fact put out by the fact they would have to help us move our stuff. By the time they got around to helping us, they made us so late that we could no longer order room service and they complained about us in front of us the entire time. In contrast, the staff at the Hilton saw that we had been moved and immediately comped our breakfast. The final straw came when Le Meridien staff tried to make us pay for having our cars parked there overnight. After much discussion, they finally covered our parking fees. DO NOT STAY HERE if you have the choice. However, I would highly recommend the Hilton that is located nearby.

This place has a nice vibe, clean beds and bathrooms, full bar/restaurant in the lobby. Coffee service and newspapers are just down the hall. Valet parking was easy. Bridge to Georgetown was a block away and very lovely. The stay was worth more than what we paid for sure.

Nice hotel. There was no bath robe, the body wash did not lather well and the valet was a bit expensive and the valet was not explained correctly so we had to stand and wait for our car.

Very cold lobby/restaurant/bar area. Thermostat in room kept malfunctioning. The maintenance guy brought us a space heater at one point. Requested shampoo at one point and three different staff people delivered some three separate times. Very friendly, but obviously some lack of communication. Staff was very apologetic about the thermostat and offered us a variety of comps.
Location was excellent, most staff was nice and helpful. If you wanted Wifi, you had to pay extra. Channels on the television had horrible reception 9/10 times. One bellhop was incredibly rude when I asked to use a luggage cart, that were kept in their storage room at the moment, as I had multiple heavy bags to load in my car. Parking was outrageous per day ($60). This parking fee was also not included on Kayak or Pricline.

Excellent location for much of downtown DC. Around Midnight my room filled with old cigarette smoke as someone began smoking in the stairwell. The air quality overall in my particular room was poor, requiring the windows to be opened as much as possible. This of course made it difficult to sleep as the city sounds in DC near The White House are loud and replete with sirens 24/seven. Normally, one might cover one's ears to have silence. However, at this hotel the pillows are the size for small children.
Friendly helpful staff in downtown DC. The air conditioning in the room wasn't very good. It didn't feel like it dropped below 70F while set to 60F in November.
The hotel was very nice and extremely close to all the sites (just blocks from the White House). The room, service, and location were far above what I would expect for the price. Would stay here again and will recommend to anyone visiting the DC area.

The hotel was nice and the location was great for work. I was charged three times for the same room. I am still fighting to get one of the charges reversed. While the staff at the front desk were unable to help me, I was transferred to a very nice young lady who I have been working with ever since. She admitted there was a mistake and has been helpful. But, the bottom line is that I checked out 2 weeks ago and the excessive charges have not been returned. BUT, nice place to stay. Just be able to handle a surprise.

Upon telling the desk clerk and manager at check-in that I had honeymooned at this hotel almost 47 years ago, they expressed genuine delight and immediately offered me a complimentary service. The following morning when I needed help with the timing of a couple of things, I discovered that the word about my stay had spread and a second manager took care of me with very attentive service. It's wonderful that a large, old hotel in a big city understands the importance of making the individual guest feel special.
The staff (especially in the Executive Lounge) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our bed was very comfortable, the view was fantastic, and everything seemed up to date. We somehow snagged this Hilton Honors room and the frree wi-fi through Kayak. The location is on the edge of a residential neighborhood and a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There were a couple of hairs in the shower, but nothing too shocking. Parking overnight and hourly was so expensive that we had to search for street parking. Free wifi was only available in public spaces. Some of the facilities were closed (due to winter) or accessible only by Hilton Honors.
Room was very nice and clean, very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. However, parking in the garage was VERY expensive- $43 for one night. I sucked it up and paid it. I prepaid for the room for Kayak, so it wasn't a big deal. I saw that they had put a $50 hold on my card as well. After I left, they charged my card the $43 for the parking and released the $50 hold, but one week later, I still have a $43 hold for the parking on my card. After contacting the hotel, leaving messages for billing, the garage, and all types of people, I finally got through to Hilton Guest assurance who contacted management for me. The management's response was that this was standard practice and to take it up with the credit card company. The credit card company cannot do anything with pending charges. I've never seen a hold last so long, especially after they have collected their money.

Location is convenient to Pentagon, Western DC, and good highways within a block. Price - special low rate for the 1 night Dark room, needs updating. Room had 2 double beds, was told by staff that hotel did not have a room with a queen bed which we wanted. Make sure you keep a key after checkout if you need to drive your vehicle out of the attached garage. I didn't and had to go back to the front desk (on an elevator). Check-in was a little slow.
I love that this hotel offers a shuttle to DCA and the option to park at the hotel while traveling. We were in a room right on the street and it was very loud all night long!!
I did not have hot running water during my stay, or at least I did not know how to work it. Perhaps I am not used to it, but I had to pay for parking and for the wifi which is usually complimentary in most hotels.
I like the proximity to downtown DC as well as Pentagon City where they have plenty of restaurants Wi-fi isn't free and the $13 per 24 hrs is kinda steep.
Nice hotel, location is awesome as it's very close to DC Room was facing the street. If we opened our window shades, being on the first level anyone would be able to see us which can be uncomfortable and doesn't make for a nice view. The room neighboring us was obviously over the 4 person limit playing loud music, yelling and partying. It took 2 calls to the front desk and 4 hours to get them to quiet down. My husband and I were looking to relax and get some sleep instead we got an unprofessional hotel who lets teenagers party whith no regard to other guests. Never were allowed to speak with management nor were we offered anything to compensate our troubles. Nothing against the hotel itself it's a nice hotel although the rooms lack a fridge/microwave but the staff and management and security here are the real problem.

Only that it was close to attractions. Everything. Very rude staff. Check in time was 3 but didn't have my room ready until 4:30. Horrible at customer service.

Lobby and pool are nice, location is close to metro Our bathroom was run down the finish on the tub was peeling off, little knowledge abt are restaurants and the concierge comes in at 11:30 so if you need lunch reservations you are on your own, they sent me to a closed restaurant.
I am disappointed with kayak as I cancelled this reservation via my kayak app on 31 August but when I returned to the app on 6 September to make a rental car reservation learned it was still listed as active. I called your secondary hotel room provider "getaroom" who could not explain what happened only that they don't allow cancellations through kayak's site. I do t think this is fair and would appreciate being refunded the full cost of this reaervation $423.81. I appreciate your attention to this complaint.
We came for a visit to D.C. and chose it because it was next to a metro station. I booked a double but when Checked in they tried to give me a king.They bent over backwards to make sure I got the room I needed. One night my son left his glasses in the work out room which was closed at 10. The staff was very accommodating and found someone to unlock the room to get his glasses. The pool area was very nice and relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The staff was incredibly helpful. I worry about travelling alone because I am disabled. This is one of the two best hotels I have ever stayed in. The other one was another Marriott! My room was comfortable, the room service & restaurant were both good and the staff was courteous. Being disabled, I required extra assistance at times and also moved slower than most people due to leg braces. The staff was patient and understanding, that doesn't happen often in my experience! The only shortcoming I saw at all was the bathroom in my room. It appeared to me that the housekeeper was taking shortcuts when cleaning it. Everything else was just fine.
Convenient location with quick access to D.C.; VA & MD. It's obviously an older hotel in need updating but it's none the less nice. Good amenities; room service menu and quality of food was adequate. Nice gym. Great views from the top floor. Didn't take advantage of concierge lounge but the staff made me aware and thanked me for platinum status. The wing of the hotel And room I was in was the closest to the road and interstate; the windows were not sound proofed and the noise from the traffic (just normal road noise) keep waking me up all night (and I take sedatives to sleep). I've stayed before and the room wasn't on the interstate side and it was fine. Just make sure to get a good location away from traffic.
It's a fairly standard Marriott with a good location for business in Arlington, VA, close to a metro station. There was a large party of high school students seemingly unsupervised by any adults making a lot of noise for an extended period of time. I wouldn't come back if this is a regular occurrence.
I was visiting for the Marine Corps Marathon & this location made race day stress free since I could walk to the start without hassle of needing to use the metro or other transportation. The air conditioning unit made a loud click each time it turned on which was annoying when sleeping.
On the night I have arrived (very tired, by the way), I was informed by a rather impatient receptionist that there is no room for me - despite the fact that my card was charged in advance (I presume that big hotel chains oversell). After some consideration, I was put in some hidden room on the first floor, where the view from the window was literally the insides of a booth attached to the building with construction materials in it. Trying to cope with this situation, I had a dinner at the hotel restaurant - just to get a food poisoning (the food was certainly not fresh). Next day I was moved to a slightly better room. Overall, the hotel is in a desperate need of renovation (except for the lobby which looks OK) and better management - one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. The location is bad - there is nothing in the immediate vicinity, and the commute to Arlington or DC is not convenient.
Nothing seemed to work or was up to date. The TV didn't work, the shower drain was incredibly slow, one of the lamps didn't work, I scraped my hand on the bathroom ceiling because it was so low, and my room service food arrived cold. I wouldn't stay here again.
Comfy The food at the breakfast Buffett was terrible. The eggs were runny and tasted like they were liquid eggs. The fruit tastes like it was packaged, not fresh. You could just tell it was all cheap food, nothing was fresh. The air conditioning in the hotel was either not working or not turned on. All of the common spaces were miserably hot. The fitness center was a joke. It was in a dark, dungeony basement. There were no fans to keep it cool. The equipment was cheap and the tvs on the treadmills didn't work.
The hotel was reasonably close to the Roslyn metro station so it was easy to get to and from D.C. The view of the Potomac and Georgetown was gorgeous. The bellhop was very nice and helpful. The fruit infused water in the lobby was a refreshing treat. The bed was comfortable. The outside pool was small and crowded, but it was the week of Fourth of July. The tub didn't drain as you showered. My biggest complaint was that housekeeping didn't clean our room any of the 8 days we were there. I tried to resolve the problem on the sixth, seventh, and eighth evenings of the stay but each day we returned to our uncleaned room.
Close proximity to the metro. The hotel is not far from the metro, but it is also right off the side of the highway, making it quite loud and a little bit of an eyesore. When I arrived, the staff seemed a bit confused on how to check me in. They allowed us to "check" our bags for the afternoon while we traveled. The pizza place next door seemed enticing at first, but quickly turned us off by the looks of it. Appearance is everything sometimes. Very poorly cleaned room. Hair left in the hair dryer. Shower looked like it had not been cleaned. Overall, poor quality. The room was really warm, despite efforts to turn down the heater. Would not stay here again and would not suggest to a friend. Way overpriced for value.
Price was pretty good for DC during spring break. Close to subway. Wireless was extremely slow and intermittent. They felt is was our computer but we had several...they could not all have issues. The room was moldy causing a lot of allergy issues.
The rooms we're clean, it is not too far from the main points of interest-$15 taxi ride or a cheaper metro ride takes about 25 minutes We called the hotel to say that the first person from our group to arrive will not be the one whose name is on the reservation to make sure there is an easy check in, only to find out that the hotel cannot find the reservation even though we received an email confirmation. Saying that there is no reservation at all we we're told to call the booking website, we're places on hold by the hotel for a long time before we finished a sentence, and overall it was really hard to edible this and took us 50 minutes of calls to figure it out and find the reservation.
Decent room but the no coffee and breakfast doesn't seem like a big deal. Until you're there. Then it's super annoying. There's a Days Inn near here on Pershing Drive, I'd stay there overeating here.

I loved being so close to the metro. I found the room and bed comfortable and adequate. The fridge and microwave made it so we were able to provide most of our own food, which was a plus for us. The prices were the best we could find so close to downtown. You can also easily walk to the Iwo Jima memorial. No elevator anywhere near our room, so you had to carry everything to the second floor (not that atypical in my experience). The pool was a big letdown. It would have been a big perk for our young children. The water was cold; the whole pool room was so foggy in the evening that you couldn't even see across the pool; the shower curtain in the pool changing room was covered in dead gnats, and the ceiling was covered in condensation that dripped on you as you changed.
Hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all my questions. Location was great too for seeing everything in DC. 5 minute walk to the metro subway station and the Iwo jima memorial.

The rooms were reasonably updated, good cable tv options, and the pool was terrific (lifeguard on duty, so I got to swim laps while the kids splashed. . ). Our rooms were actually quiet, everything was clean, and the staff quite helpful. I particulalry enjoyed the fresh coffee in the lobby (though missed having a hearty French Roast for much of the trip). Most of the restaurant choices are a few blocks away, so we got some exercise when tired of Ledo Pizzeria and diner. Wish the pool was open earlier in the day, and it could stand some spiffing up.

This Best Western is very run down. There are cracks in the bathroom walls, mold or dirt in between tile. The room didn't smell clean, nor feel it. I would prefer hotels not spray room freshener (which they didn't), however it had a stale smell. The first room we were given was #119, whatever you do, don't take this room, it is next to the laundry room and the noise and banging from the machines is not tolerable- this room should be a storage unit- not fit for humans. ( it is also right under a staircase to the second floor- kids were running up and down alot. Second worst experience at a hotel/motel ever!
Location If you want to sleep past 7am avoid room 221. It's next to the maid's "staging area" ,so starting around 7 there's loud banging around & talking. The walls are quite thin.

I cancel my reservation before arriving after I saw parking cost $27 a day. I stayed at a different hotel which turned out to be much better, with free parking & a shuttle.

I had a very good experience at this location. My room and the staff was great! I had a medical emergency during my stay and the security staff along with the manager accommodated my family beautifully. The security manager also followed up with me upon my return home. I was shocked to experience such professionalism and compassion with any hotel company. Thank you!
Friendly, helpful staff. Came and picked us up from Crystal City restaurant during heavy rain storm. Restaurant buffets were a good value for the quality of food provided. Good proximity to DCA. Room cleaning services were very good. Pool was not clean, probably due to the overcrowding with children on the day we were there. Proximity to the metro not close but staff made frequent trips during the course of the day.
Great Room, staff was very friendly, location was close to restaurants. Quite the walk to the Metro station. The hotess said 8 blocks, it had to have been longer than that!
I greatly appreciated the shuttle service to and from the airport. It was very convenient. My feet were very happy to find out that the shuttle would pick you up from the metro station as well as dropping you off there. It was a great service.

The bath tub/shower was very poorly designed and the plumbing maintenance was notable. small parts missing from faceplate of faucet, significant difficulty to turn on/off. Also very annoying that there was no fridge. Also conference catering support staff was very inflexible-for lunch one day our series had let out about 20 min early. All of the lunch spread was out and the staff was standing there in front of it preparing/readying nothing - great! They were ready early-but then they made us (ultimately about 80 people) wait for 20 minutes politely in line until they let us start the line. That seemed completely unreasonable, and without reason or basis. I did not organize the meeting this year but I may in future years, and this catering in flexib
I loved that the metro was right under the hotel. So convenient. The pool and spa were beautiful. The staff are excellent. Spa was a bit too hot at 108 degrees You couldn't bear to get into it and if you did it was only for a few seconds before feeling light headed.

The location was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful. The Hotel is connected by underground tunnels to shopping and the metro system. The catering staff were very accommodating to my wife who is a vegan. The only bad part was the hotel restaurant was very slow and overpriced.

Clean room, pleasant, modern decor. EXCELLENT location as the metro was accessible without going outside the building - this was extremely important to us as we were there for the women's march and transportation in and around DC was stretched to its limits. There was no hassle with having to get a shuttle to the metro as has been needed with other hotels I have stayed in, in the area. Staff was polite and professional - no problems checking-in 2 hours earlier than planned. Parking was secure and not excessively expensive. Negatives: No free in-room wifi, television was so-so.
CLEANING CREW FRIENDLY QUIET Shuttle service to metro was lacking had two call twice 1 day with no show had to catch other hotel shuttle to get back. Buses kept breaking down so did not know which vehicle was mine and no marking on shuttle. Was told that shuttle would drop me off close destination twice but was dropped off at metro, had to buy another card to get to destination.

- Indoor swimming pool was closed though hotel's website says that they have a swimming pool facility and it is open. the staff said that they have closed it due to end of season which was not convincing as the pool is indoor, the weather was very hot and all other surrounding hotels' indoor swimming pools were fully operating. - No dining room service - No buffet breakfast

The room I got was pretty big. The furnitures were not the most stylish, but comfortable enough. They have shuttles to the airport and the Metro station, which is very convenient (but not 24/7, so check the schedule). Location is also convenient, close to a good number of casual restaurants. The shuttle tracking website is useless. Marriott shuttles at the airport has "north loop" and "south loop" that go to different hotels -- very confusing and not correctly shown on the tracking bus. I ended up waiting for more than half an hour for the correct shuttle. I recommend calling the hotel for actual shuttle arrival time, and make sure to verify the destination with the driver before boarding.
Staff were very friendly and professional, and helpful. Rooms were very clean and smelled good. Staff in restaurant/ bar were even more helpful and friendly. They came by and checked on us and brought us more drinks while we stayed longer in the eating area. The price for this weekend. However it is a busy weekend for any inauguration so I can understand the increase in prices. The hours of the restaurant in the hotel were very limited. I would prefer a little earlier on the weekend, and later at night.

Nice hotel quite close to the subway and therefore close to Washington D.C. good place to stay if you be arounf with a car or van. All was ok but the staff could be more friendly.

The convenient location to Washington DC without the high parking cost. Rooms were clean, comfortable and staff was well informed on area and helpful. A small breakfast area would have been helpful but coffee was available.
Location was excellent with free-shuttle to Rosslyn Metro, and easy walk to Memorial Bridge and W.Washington. Was not given information at Check-In about Breakfast, which resulted in embarressing encounter with staff next morning. There was also no information about food provided in the Hotel Guide in my room.
The staff was friendly, helpful, cheerful and went beyond what was expected. The location, if you are visiting Arlington National Cemetery or Fort Meyer, is perfect.
We enjoyed the outdoor pool, although the water was very cold. Having laundry facilities on site was helpful for us. The suite was very spacious, which was nice, and the housekeeping staff always arranged our kids stuffed animals in different cute configurations when they made the beds each day. The kids loved that! Also having the room safe was nice to for peace of mind leaving our tablets and such behind as we saw the sights. The shuttle to metro station was also very handy. We did not receive the type of room we had reserved. With two kids with special needs, this was difficult as they had looked at pictures ahead of time to ease their anxiety over traveling and what we got looked nothing like what we had requested- even different beds, etc. The staff was not able to fix that for us. When I came down to ask about it a little while after checking in, I overheard the person in front of me ask for a parking permit paper. We did not have one. We were just told we could park anywhere. It turned out that without the permit we would have been towed, so I was glad to overhear the person in front of me ask. They did allow us to park for free because they had forgotten and that was greatly appreciated. The elevators are very small and difficult to get a full luggage cart inside, but it is an older building and that may not be something that can be changed.

Location and pool are great; parking is free and convenient; kitchen facilities are nice; breakfast is adequate; service is good. There is an odd smell in the rooms, like insecticide, coming from the area around the bed and through the A/C. It is quite unpleasant.
