it is situate in a beautifull lokation and the rooms are clean & seems like new
convenient location but quiet and easy access to beach. This hotel is next to town Ouranopolis even it's not clear on the google map.
Excellent location, all rooms with a sea view, safe for children, the size still gives you the feeling of privacy and family atmosphere. Not fault of a hotel but the noise from the two sea cranes working from 7AM till 7PM was very unpleasent.
We loved the atmosphere and that it was not high rise, rather that it blended in with the surroundings My husband for religious reasons does not eat pork. On our last day the omelette had ham in it. The kitchen refused to make him an omelette or other egg dish without ham. Being discriminated in this way is a real shame, especially as it left a really sour taste at the end of the holiday.
The setting, the accommdation Food was not that good. Little done to control wasps
I liked that I could leave it. Terrible terrible hotel! We came there to swim with our son in the indoor swimming pool and to rest after a week of hard work. But the indoor swimming pool does not allow children (even though I called the hotel before the booking checking that it would be available for just that). The outdoor pool was cold and full of dirt in the bottom and wild dogs were walking around it. The bathtop drain was so full of hair and filth that it did not drain. They fixed that and left a bit of hair and filth on the toilet seat. In the night we did not get rested as the air conditioning did not work (they could not fix it). We were sweating and turning al night in the moist hot air of Ouranoupolis. Do not stay at this hotel. They do not care enough.
The hotel itself , the place and the stuff No working Bar after 23h. This is funny for a 4 star hotel
The location was extremely good with long beach frontage and spacious gardens around the accommodation blocks and bungalows. Unusually, all rooms have sea view and have very efficient air conditioning Unfortunately the beds were the hardest I have ever slept in. Beach sunbeds hard slatted wood/plastic and no mattresses. Food was disappointing but adequate. More suitable for young families as everything close by. Very few quiet comfortable places to sit for older couples, and no other English visitors. Long way from the airport with no transfers, so car hire essential
spatious room, nice view, proximity to the beach and the town. poor appearance of the building with too much concreet in sight. poor decoration. unacceptable bathroom amenities for a 4 star hotel. no bathrobes or slipers, shampoo and conditioner in an open-top bowl not easy to use. breakfast buffet poor and exposed to flies. poor value for money. while my credit card details were submitted for confirming the reservation only and payment was supposed to be made during my stay, my credit card was charged with the full amount few days after the reservation.
Good location, quiet, cheap, friendly staff.
Nice village Both rooms not ready when we arrived, parking a little tricky on the road
Free WIFI, The owner was nice and helpful.
It was cheap. While there is free wireless internet, we couldn't get it to work on our computer, so the owner let us use his laptop. Many of the rooms have balconies. Bathroom is way to small and dark. Rooms are very small. The rooms basically have no views. Maybe one room on the front corner gets glimpses of the sea.
Nice stay before Mt Athos. Nothing to say more. Not good not bad.
Beautifull hotel, very quiet, in a nice city. Perfect for hollidays. I will come back in this hotel with pleasure.
Excellent location, very close to the beach. Rooms are comfortable, cleaned every day. Helpful stuff. Wi-fi in every room, but you can expect a little problems with signal strenght, especially on the ground floor
nice service and very good location no parking places
Very good situation - 5 minutes walking distance from the tower. Good value for money. Friendly staff. A little bit noisy in the mornings
Location is fine, good to spend one night prior to the Mont Athos trip. Could be maintained better - I spent two night there prior/after my Athos trip in a different rooms, but in both was something wrong - tap was not working properly etc.
The hotel is quite small and quiet - which suited us. The site overall is charming - nice garden areas, pretty villas, and a great swimming pool which was well maintained. This is not an international 4* hotel - more like 3*. There were petty issues (like a minibar which still had the previous occupant's personal food stuffs inside) which took two days of asking to be sorted out. The room furniture and bathrooms were OK, but the facilities were basic. Although prepared well enough, the restaurant menu and set-up was very basic..
It was really quiet and it is located at one of the best beaches of ammouliani. What I liked most was the bar that has view to the center of ammouliani, to Ouranoupolis and to Mount Athos. Also, the transfer to our room was done with a small golf car and that was quite convenient. The room had a great balcony from where someone could enjoy the sea view.
Very nice and quite Island if you want to enjoy the beaches or take a walk on the island. It is difficult to find a decent restaurant on the Island. The dinner in the hotel is not worth the 25 euro.
I didn't like the hotel at all. It is a very old, dirty, and ugly hotel. Apart from the location (not all rooms have view) everything else was a disaster. Cleaning services were every two days, there was no soap, the towels were dirty and the spiders were all over the place. I paid 80E for a room which was for 40E top. The breakfast which was included in the price was very poor, "dirty" and awful. The staff was not very polite and very slow motion!!!! Generally it's not a 4star hotel and it doesn't have value for money. Breakfast, cleaning, facilities, air-condition, furniture,tv,staff, towels, soaps, price. Total re-decoration!!!
Location. The Beach. Quiet. Nice scenary. Swimming pool. Music. Personel's attitude and lack of experience. Although the dishes were tastefull the presentation of the plates was very poor. The parking didn't have tarmat and it was a bit hurtful for the car (lots of bumps...)
Only the pool and the view. The room was not clean. Hair and stains in the sheets. The morning buffet was very poor and unacceptable in quality. In the bathroom they did not even have a glass for the toothbrush.
No fitness facility
Nice , quiet piece of the world, perfect place to relax. The management knows my opinion. This is remark only. The minimarket had been closed in many cases of our children´s visit to buy ice-cream , water etc.The location of minimarket is not very convenient for visitors.
excellent location with good atmosphere, decent services, fantastic nature and real relaxing setup. Maybe the beach equipment should be replaced
In a quiet location, has easy access to the beach. Staff are not very professional. Despite advertisement "all rooms have sea-view", in fact not all of them have.
Nice swimming-pool The hotel is a bit isolated
Nice room and view with good beach but you need a car to visit nicer ones Poor breakfast, having to pay hotel for sun beds on their beach and not much space for chairs around the pool
Position in town, microenvironment and atmosphere. Breakfast, absence of wireless internet and the hotel parking.
The room was quite large and all services were reasonable. The bathroom was small, with an old and tiny shower.
We were at the Pyrgos primarily to experience the boat tour to seee Mt. Athos. We liked the convenient proximity and the amenities - very nice pool & breakfast area. We actually modified our booking, changing from three night to two, because we didn't think there was enough to do (no daytripping - too far to anywhere else) and left a day early, going to the Despotiko (your booking) at Portaria.
Very good location in calm area, rather close to the beach. Really nice view. Swimming pool. Very small bathroom, should be renovated. Cleaning could be improved.
Parking place and the pool. The staff didn't assure the entire quiet and intimacy for me, because there were some national tourist next room to mine, who extraordinary noise. The second thing which I wasn't veryy happy about was the connection to the wifi internet was available only from the hotel lobby, not from my room, and the speed was very small.
Room, pool, internet Poor breakfast, non working buffet at pool.
Good Location with view to the sea and very close to the town center. Nice and kind staff. Beautiful swimming pool. Adequate breakfast buffet. Misleading photos of the rooms on this site. What you see is not what you get! Towels where not clean and fresh as they should.
Newly built hotel, extremely clean, reasonable price. Small rooms, extremely hot during August. Mountain view is actually the view of the opposite wall, in small distance. Aircondition is actually the most noisy you can find and in general you cannot consider this hotel as soundproof (you can even hear from your room, the receptionist talking to the phone). Pool is small and just outside the front rooms.
location, staff, facilities, room, view
Hotel was spotlessly clean, nice decor, large shower, sea view from the room and plenty of space. Staff were friendly and gave individual service with a smile.
Excellent hotel! The ideal place to stay if you don't wanna spend a fortune on sleep but still enjoy a very pleasant and clean facility!
Location in city, cleanliness, view, parking ability, room size, very good value for money Rooms at the back of the hotel (supposedly with "mountain view") have no view at all
