Hi close it was to everything. Great value and wonderful service Nothing
The staff was unusually nice and helpful. From the maid, front desk, servers to pool staff...truly everyone we ran into met us with a big smile and willingness to help. The rooms and pool bathrooms were very clean. Beach is just a few steps from the pool and was beautiful. We will return. I am cheap and spoiled by business travel but I was a bit annoyed that they didn't offer any Elite benefits - not even free coffee. Most hotels offer free coffee in the morning even for just a few hours. The breakfast buffet was a pricey $25/per for just the basic offering. Food quality on the other hand was great.
Location, pools, new rooms This new hotel takes itself a too seriously for "Pompano Beach" (not near Lauderdale -I can say this because I live here) Valet-only for $25 -and they lost my car twice. One guy even questioned if I was "sure" it wasn't my gold SUV -I said I'm sure I don't own it. I've been recently to large world-class hotels that have better parking systems. Hotdogs and burgers by pool for $16 (potato chips) would be passable if it was the Ritz or Vegas -but again this is Pompano Beach. We brought a local pizza box by the pool and was told we couldn't eat it outside -then I told the guy it was their own front desk that recommended the place. Again this is POMPANO -a b-level suburb of Lauderdale. Pretty though, just trying to be something else...
The room was spacious & comfortable - very nice!
Immaculate grounds! Peaceful. Huge spacious rooms. Large Showers/bathrooms. 3 tv'S. Full MODern kitchen including dishwasher. Washer & Dryer. Swimming pools with surrounding Palm trees. Friendly Guests. Free Parking. Grocery Store & Walmart close by. Great hotel...Only thing we didn't like was the bedding sheets were HARD/stiff.The sheets felt like they had been bleached, and ironed stiffed.
Accomodations were top-notch
I liked the design and overall ambiance of the room. The staff was friendly and provided great customer service. We had to call maintenance to adjust the air conditioning because only the fan was blowing. Also, one of the toilets clogged and overflew.
almost everything the missing of the wifi
How large the room actually was.....It was really good value for money.... My husband and I were very pleased with the facilities and would love to come back there again. The staff at the Concierge desk were actually much more receptive and friendlier than the front desk staff.
Very nice and clean room with good service.
Fantastic room, clean, big with a very well equiped kitchinette They are absolutely tough on late checkouts. Despite being with low occupation on a week day, they'd charge $ 35 per hour for late checkout after 10 AM - a very unpleasant tough position by management, with no exceptions.
The children loved the graduated pool with the slide. the adults loved the nearby hot tub.
The hotel is a self-contained city...lots of shops and restaurants...the downside was its a casino on Indian property so smoking is allowed----YUCK!
location to sun life stadium staff was rude and room check-in is disfunctional. room should have been ready much sooner than it was.
Beautiful hotel and pool. Great staff Got to the hotel late Sunday night. Not much to do at the hotel during the week.
we only stayed for 2 nights and we really liked the swimming area and the casino the room was just what we wanted we will visit again the next time we are in florida 5 star all the way
The beds and linens were wonderful in our room. Room service for breakfast was excellent. The pool area is really lovely, both day and night. Rod Stewart's show was excellent. We found the hotel staff, with the exception of security people, were rather "grumpy".and this includes bartenders.
The casino wasgreat (even tho' we lost). Thefood was usually of good value. Our room was niceand the bed was great but itwas almost a mile walk from the elevator and wewerelocked out onASaturday night foralmost an hour!
Thought the mattresses were not that firm and comfortable. And if you have a king size bed include king size pillows with the bed . The pillows are so worn and small . Didn't like that the outside venue seemed abandoned not as many shops most things were closed while I was there . Was unaware there was construction. And after talking to a shop employee she said it's been torn up outside for so long and nothing has been done with the space . Definitely not the same fun place I visited several years ago. Seems like the outdoor area is getting rundown.
The staff was very friendly and the pool was great The construction work that is going on was woken up at 5am and 6am two days in a row from construction machinery and jackhammering
Our suite was very nice. Really enjoyed the comfort. The air smelled like cologne-covering smoke, but it didn't.
The pool area made you feel like you were far away on an Island resort The room lighting, not enough. Felt like it was cloudy outside bcs the rooms were dark. Need better lighting
I love the enviroment, staff, most resturant & shopping The only thing I dislike on every trip is room service, not the service itself but the food is of poor quaility. I made an inquiry a few trips back and found out it was prepared by The Blue Plate, where I dine after 1am as it was the only one open.....it's horrible!!!
I can not tell you just how horrible our stay was. we were still awake at 9am from the noise in the hall ,the next room was party city. How many whores can fit in a hotel room? even the dirt in the hallways and elevators surprised us. this isn't a hotel on the weekends it is like a sorority house with absolutely no rules and no regard for anyone elses sensibilities. horrible horrible stay.
Vera¡y good location The service specially for the breakfast was very poor
Great view, location - nice rooms. Bed was way too comfortable!
The staff is friendly and accumulating. Easy access to beach front. Updated lobby and rooms. Near liquor store. Don't worth the $200+ a night rate I paid. It looks and feels like an old Holiday Inn that was renovated. The view from the rooms of the beach is only a half view as the building is blocking the rest. The carpet was stained. The shower had mold on the grout and caulked in areas. The A/C only kicked on when it wanted to. The pool is the size of an above-ground pool. I paid the rate because the reviews and pictures looked appeasing but it turned out to be a front. Also, it is not an adult only hotel; many, many families present and being very loud and obnoxious. 2-star rating. Only stay here if you find a rate for under $100 a night. Very, very disappointed.
Friendly staff, clean, close to beach. Nothing negative
Room and view was wonderful! Staff was helpful, and the pool was relaxing. Loved the love music at the pool. Breakfast at the hotel resturant cost us a pretty penny.
The personal are professional and very polite.
Great location. Great last minute deal thru Kayak. I will definitely stay again. My room was RIGHT BY THE ELEVATOR... bad move. You hear everythjbg coming in and out. Also, the chef... Well, let's just say the meal I had wSnt great. Actually, it wasn't good either.
Clean, friendly staff Restaurant was very expensive
Very comfortable bed. Rooms are nice. Location to beach is great. Parking cost is $30/night. You can hear every sound through the door.
This was a great place to stay. It was very nice and looked more modern than most of the hotels on the strip. Staff very friendly and helpful. Most rooms had a beautiful view of the ocean! The higher your room the better. Beds were very comfy. Room amenities: Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, ice bucket, 4 glasses, safe, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner/bath gel dispenser in shower, iron/board, mirrors on the closet doors, 2 bottles of water daily They also offered 2 welcome drinks from the bar upon arrival, free beach towels and 2 free beach chairs daily. Location: The location of this hotel was good for us. It is located at the corner of A1A and Sunrise Blvd. The beach was right across the street and this section of the beach wasn't as crowded. We did not need to rent a car. There was plenty of things within a block surrounding the hotel. There was a Thai sushi place, 24hr pizza place, Mediterranean/Vegan spot, deli/sandwich shop, ice cream, popcorn, Subway, 7 Eleven. There were also several souvenir shops, a pub and a couple of other small restaurants. We rented a scooter from Fun Rentals right behind the hotel so we could explore a little further. Great transportation without paying for valet parking. We also used the beach shuttle ($3/person). Other transportation options include Trolley ($1/ride), City bus (bus stop right out front), cab, Uber, bike rentals. The nightlife is about a mile south of the hotel (30 min walk) on A1A. The Galleria mall was about 1/2 mile west on Sunrise blvd...not far at all. Overall this was a great place and we would stay here again. The pool was sort of small though. I would have liked a microwave as well though. Restaurant in hotel was kind of expensive so we never ate there.
NOTHING. EVERYTHING. I would not stay here, they are not accomodating, the staff is rude and inconsiderate. There sheets were terrible, and the room was dirty.
The woman at the front counter was extremely helpful and friendly. She immediately saw our daughter who is two and offered to have us a crib sent up immediately. Hotel restaurant server was also excellent. Gave us great service and the food was great. Seemed a little too "uppity" for our family. It always seemed as if someone was looking for a tip. My husband went down to get a luggage cart to take our bags downstairs and the guy wouldn't let him have the cart. Said it was a "liability". I've been to a lot of hotels and always used my own luggage cart. It's not a liability for heavens sake. It just means someone won't get a tip. Also the bed was not very comfortable but that's just a personal opinion. It could be very comfortable to someone else.
Staff was friendly A/C did not work and carpets were dirty
Great location, comfortable room Hallways and bathrooms were not clean to Hilton standards
Nice rooms, comfortable big beds, good price for location Not the most beautiful from the outside where we stayed. Came a day earlier than reservation and they were sold out. Parking $25 a night!
Pool; marina and waterway views; ability to extend checkout no problem. Difficulty with electronic door lock. Only on checkout was problem disclosed as a battery problem. I'll remember this next stay, should it happen again. Housekeeping supervisor contacted security right away to have battery changed.
Location to the convention center The lobby was extremely chaotic and loud. There is nothing near the hotel that gives you options for dining out as far as I could tell.
Ants in room, being charged for a 23 oz draft but only getting a 16 oz glass.
Easy to book last minute. Needs maintenance. Very simple hotel
Intercoastal view with a big tree blocking from seing anything
Location was convenient, staff was accommodating Older, a little beat up, not secure at all, parking was terrible, not great value for the money
setting no breakfast before 7 am
It was a great hotel. The rooms were updated and comfortable. Will highly recommend. Nothing
Great hotel, great service. Our door balcony messed up on us and they moved us into a nicer room with a view to accommodate the inconvenience. Staff was nice and took great care of us. I would definitely go back again
Hotel did not look the same as pictures displayed online. The room smelling like old cigarette smell it wasn't a balcony either
The pool area was very nice and great location on the water close to the beach I reserved a room with a king size bed. When I arrived I was told there was none available and was given a room with two queen size beds. They seemed smaller than queen and were definitely cheap mattresses. Very uncomfortable. Also the wallpaper was peeling off the walls and there was mold on the walls. Definitely not a 4 star!
This hotel is showing its years and definately needs an overhaul. I'd say skip it.
The staff and food quality were excellent. The hotel grounds and facilities spacious and easy. Special kudos to the bar wait staff and bartender... friendly, accommodating, and excellent. Noise from the parking lot activity, the outside hallway and from the airport kept me awake all night.
Parking was $25
Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable I liked everything
Comfort, atmosphere. Staff was friendly, helpful. Outdoor walking from place to place (i.e. room to room, room to pool) Food was not good and not enough a variety. Needs coffee. Laundry facilities not in the building. Wine was way overpriced.
A beautiful place and always feels like you are on a luxury vacation. The lobby bar is one of the best hotel bars ever. I am concerned my credit card will be used under someone else's name as my bill I received was incorrect at the end of my stay and had the incorrect t address on the statement... Every time I've been to the hotel the check in is a huge issue and great area of concern... Honestly, limits my likeliness to return due to headache of rooms are never ready (I checked in last time the room wasn't ready until after 6p and this time I checked in at 4p and had to choose a room on a lower floor due to room on the original was not ready).
The staff was awesome, Everyone was very friendly and willing to make our stay memorable. Our balcony was so relaxing after a long flight, we enjoyed looking out at the beautiful garden area.
My boyfriend and I flew in from out of town and stayed here this past week for 3 days. Everything was amazing; the front desk was very professional and polite. Room service was great and accommodating. I loved the spa pool and pool side bar. The view of the marina from our room was breath taking. We will definitely be staying here again when we fly in for Christmas.
Pool lounge and pool staff were very friendly and accommodating as was the bellmen. Lots of things tho do for kids. Breakfast menu at Mariners was very overpriced and of little value including drinks. Women's poolside restroom didn't have functioning locks on stalls.
Love the pool and the view of the beach! Everything was clean! Couldn't take food outside to the pool or a cooler. Security guards were annoying on that.
THE beach, the room, the lobby I was charged for everything! Even charged for receiving a delivery package. At the end, it ended up being a very expensive hotel.
Location of the hotel is great, beautiful pool and patio, Great staff overall. The hotel is under heavy construction switching from Westin to Hilton So if you like the sound of pile drivers at 6h00am every morning.... Nothing was told or specified when we made our reservation that the hotel was a construction site!!! Not professional at all!
Pool area is fantastic, beachfront hotel and staff were accomodating and most of them freindly. very expensive to buy anything at the hotel. Room was not perfect but the beach view was memorable!! Worth the extra $$. There was no free wifi even with the pricy room! not acceptable these days.
Nice people and when things weren't right they made it right.
Location of hotel, Rooms were nice Poor Customer Service 45 min line just to check into your room I understand it was Memorial Day weekend, but over staff and prepare for large crowds. We were a wedding and booked 95 rooms they did nothing to accommodate us. Trash was left in hallways for 2+ days Front desk wouldn't give us enough wrist bands for pool. I was overall shocked, very poor hospitality!
They aré remodeling all the hotel, so all services and features are not available
The location and beach access. Hotel was beautiful and comfortable. Construction didn't take away from beauty of hotel. The resort fees. Just include in price up front.
Worst cell and internet reception
Excellent location, very nice pools and grounds, nice bathroom and comfortable beds, good TV selection, wonderful beach. Part of the hotel is under renovation and we could not go outside to our balcony. They were all locked and dirty from the reconstruction. We have stayed here about 5 yrs ago and everything was perfect. Everything is still very well kept ,but the hotel is starting to show signs of wear. So, the renovation is on time. Finish date is Fall 2016. I can't wait to see it. We will be back. Hotel very crowded and busy this holiday weekend.
I stayed at this property 3 years ago. Then the hotel was a bit ragged and showing its age. Since Hilton has taken over they've done an amazing job fixing the hotel. It's pricey but I was on an expense account
Being on the beach was amazing and the faculties for the event was one of the best I have ever seen The balconies were all closed off, the staff were rude and argued with you, no place to get food during the day. This please looks like a high end resort but has the amanties of a best western
Staff were absolutely amazing, thumbs up to the crew. The pool is absolutely beautiful, rooms clean, beach is five seconds from the pool. Highly recommend staying here!!!
I loved everything about the place The only thing I didn't like I was treated to two days at the hotel and it was paid for at checkout I was charged for hotel fee complimentary water a chair on beach that was a bit strange they should include it in the price especially When U check in and they tell you it's complimentry I get a bit cheated
A little expensive
Location Staff from the pool really rude open more time the pool
Location, great pool, lots of on site food choices, no need to even leave the resort The housekeepers would forget to clean the room. Mattress is terrible
I loved the modern up to date look of the rooms and they were clean. The pool was open and clean as well.Staff was super nice I didnt like how it shows on the map before booking that its right on the ocean but its actually not. You have to walk about a mile to get to the public access for the beach or drive and pay to park.
The room and the pool 24hrs was great The person in the front desk during the morning shift. Poor manners, horrible service, rude and not friendly.
Not enough parking.
My husband and I booked the honeymoon suite for one night. The room was very clean and the jacuzzi was great! The bed was very comfy. I loved that the premises has multiple pools. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had a very enjoyable time here! South Florida water can be a bit weird in a jacuzzi situation, not the hotels fault though!
Great location. Nice room. I am happy for big refrigerator. Thsnk you, I had good one night. I miss breakfast there.
Room was well done inside. Good proximity to grocery store. Outside bar was very popular Location wasn't close to any sights/attractions. Wasn't clear how to access beach. Looked more like a motel outside.
We had a jaccuzzi in our honeymoon suite. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The staff was very friendly and we could use all of the 4 pool areas.
Good location. Clear that this hotel from the 1960s or 1970s recently underwent an update which was nicely done. Nicely renovated room, needed a new shower head though. No idea why that wasn't replace when room was updated.
No beach access
Beautiful ,quaint ,romantic hotel on the beach. Nostalgic luxury. Our new go to vacation Resort! Bathroom could use some attention to the grout. Little mold here and there. Overall still an excellent place to stay.
The rooms are a bit dates but beautiful, and the location, staff and amenities more than make up for it! Nothing
Located on beach near Birch Park. Kayaks, paddle boards, lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc available on beach for guests. Valets, check in folks, & staff in general excellent. Rooms nice with good layout and generally quiet. Maid service okay- did not clean our room one day, even tho gone during mid day for about 3.5 hours- not really a biggie as rooms well supplied except for coffee. Saw young, middle aged, older, and family's with small children- EVERYBODY looked like having a good time. Two things- one morning fire alarm system tested for about an hour. Very loud speaker- wonder why cannot check b/t check in/checkout vs mid morning. Maybe fire dept controls and hotel does not have a choice. Other thing is somewhat trivial- hotel has very limited TV channels; missed The Walking Dead:( But wife could watch Oscars on other TV. Having 2 TVs a plus, even tho channel access limited.
I absolutely loves this place. Great location, friendly staff, amazing food. And the beds were xtremely comfortable. Parking was a bit expensive. $30/night
Our room was spacious and the view was gorgeous! The balcony off our room and on the back of the resort was great. We really enjoyed eating and having a few drinks out there. The resort's beach was very nice and the guys that worked the beach stand were very attentive. All of the staff were very friendly as well. We had a great time! The bar closes at 11:30pm, which seemed kind of earlier. We were there at close Saturday night and there was at least 30 people in there still wanting to stay at close.
I'm surprised there wasn't a pay-toilet! Extra for everything.
the 1 bedroom condo was so big and comfortable. the corner room had an amazing balcony. this is a fabulous resort. it would be nice to have a bigger bathroom
Very nice unit!
Liked everything about this place. Great location, friendly people, clean facilities. Great view from room. I asked for a decent view when I arrived and it was accommodated. They have BBQ grills for the guest to use. I was able to put stuff on the grill and swim while I waited on food to get done. Didn't have to buy any dishes. They have plates, cups, forks, spoons, knifes, pots, pans, bowls, grill tongs, they thought of everything! I'll definitely stay here again. Also, I never write reviews but i felt this was worth the time. No one came and cleaned my room everyday but I'm also an adult, so I know how to maintain livable conditions. Also they have everything you would need to clean up after yourself in the rooms. Really enjoyed my stay.
location was good relative to activities. covered parking gargage. staff was very cordial, friendly, well trained. ease of getting around the hotel grounds, garage, etc. furnishings were adequate, as were kitchen items. the lighting in our room was terrible. we thought of opening the refrigerator door for more light. we thought lights in Europe were weak until we were in this room. also, the light in the bathroom always started the exhaust fan which sounded like an airplane overhead.
Excellent staff. Very well managed exterior and interior. Lighting in the rooms. Not enough.
Clean comfortable and quiet. Rooms well maintained and current. Close to beach and lots of stuff to do, land and sea. On site food snack bar was limited, but sister Wyndham resort across the street has a better food vendor and a full bar.
We enjoyed the two-bedroom condo, next to the beach. Would have like to have a safe box in the condo. And chairs available on the beach.
The staff, especially the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms wer spacious and beautiful.
Nice property in a good location with excellent staff at a very reasonable price! I would definitely stay there again. Would be great for extended stays due to full kitchen and dining table in the room.
The staff were really excellent, always friendly and genuinely pleased to help. They made it a pleasure stay at the Santa Barbara. The facilities actually at the Santa Barbara are quite limited. However, this is made clear beforehand and, what there is, is good quality. Anything else is readily available at sister resorts or in the local area.
big rooms clean affordable slow internet poor breakfast
Hotel was great, as noted by another reviewer, the shower was cold, but we found that the dial was backwards (hot was cold and cold was hot). Great hotel though, comfortable and clean.
staff pleasent...clean room....quite the bath water in our room was cold...could use some more lighting...kind of dark and dreary....window curtain did not close....not very inviting overall
Spacious room, safe building, cleaniness! nothing
Was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. N/A
This is really a hotel. It's an old hospital that's now owned and operated by some sort of religious organization. It was very weird lots of rules and strange keys to gain access to the room. I did not feel secure.
Friendly Service. This is a dormitory in an office building that has some rooms for rent. Old furniture and beds. Very odd vibe about the whole place. NO amenities one would expect at even the most basic hotel. For those on a budget at half the price it might be worth the stay, but otherwise, look elsewhere.
Good value if staying in the area for a night. Not much around the area, more industrial. A casino is close by, but not much else. Not a family site as there is not much to this place, but a place to sleep. Rooms need to be cleaned more thoroughly. I know most places do not clean the bed covers frequently. One of the beds in our room had stains on them that were quite visible.
Very basic furnishings. Didn't at all feel like a hotel. Also: We returned from our hotel stay. We had pre-paid for this hotel stay. Unfortunately, the hotel also just charged to our credit card the full amount of our stay. We contacted the hotel and hopefully this will be refunded.
Stuff were helpful and friendly We did not aware of that it is a renovated hospital, bed was broken
Nice hotel.....having a car is a must have deal. Absolutely nothing in walking distance Great staff....very courteous and helpful Carpet a bit dirty, sink was cracked. Right off I-95. Minimal breakfast.
The air conditioner worked great! Hummed all night and never turned off. Perfect for keeping you nice and cozy. The room was quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and were very accommodating. Parking was easy and the hotel is close to the expressway. The room was outdated. The light in the bathroom barely worked and was practically unusable (they did offer to switch my room, but I was too tired and just wanted to get to sleep). The carpets were stained and dingy. The furniture was pretty banged up and looked like they picked up some pieces from a garage sale. This "hotel" used to be a hospital and still maintains that look and feel. Had I needed to stay more than one night, I may have passed. The no alcohol rules seem a bit odd for ANY hotel and to change a guest $200+ for evidence of alcohol consumption is rather steep. This appears to be a religiously ran facility.
Elizabeth the front desk person was excellent room was not ready at check in. location.. no beach access
The staff here were great, especially the cleaning crew. I did not like paying $17 a day to park my own car.
The pool area is very nice & it overlooks the intercoastal waterway. Cool little Tiki Bar and wonderful staff. I do not think it was clear the beach is not any easy walk from Resort and you can barely see ocean, ocean view rooms, very misleading. If I stayed there again, I would stay in a room that overlooked pool area/sound side. If you are not an beach/ocean lover, it would be a great place for you.
Very clean room. Very helpfull staff. Beach is across the street. Great location to restaurants.
Excellent location and very nice hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza. A bit pricey to eat at the hotel.
Across the road from the beach. Room was clean. The pool on the waterfront was cool. Water taxi came to the hotel and was only $26 for an all day pass. The noise from the elevator. Only 3 doors down but still was quite loud. Area was away from the bars and restaurants. Needed to get an taxi to most places.
The rooms were great Paying 25 bucks to valet everyday was ridiculous.
Very big rooms. Each room has a balcony & a kitchen
Good for the Money to much noise from neighbor rooms
The room was spacious and clean. I also liked that there was an exercise facility on site. I was attending a conference at the Westin and the Crowne Plaza was very close to that (walking distance) and the cost was half the money.
Approx. 300 meters to the beach, nice pool area and situated to a "river" with a very nice view from our room. Rooms are large.
The staff was super friendly, they recognized me by name every time I walked in the hotel. It was just a girlfriend and I staying here during our college spring break and we felt extremely safe while staying here which is important for a couple of females when in a place they have never been before. The pool area was somewhere we hadn't planned on using much since the beach is so close but we had some windier days while visiting so the pool was the perfect solution since it's more protected from the wind. The hotel is only a short walking distance from the boardwalk, restaurants, and Walmart so you have lots of stuff right close by if you don't have a car and don't want to pay for a cab. The hotel is also one of the stops for the water taxi so that can also get you most of the places along the board walk using that. The $18 self parking fee per night was kind of ridiculous to me. I loved the fact that it had a security gate although people could still walk past it. The self parking area didn't have a side entrance so you had to walk back around to the front of the hotel which wasn't that far of a walk but what bothered me the most is it wasn't well lit area. Other than that though, we had an overall great stay!
Bathrooms were good and room standards were very acceptable Restaurant seemed a bit Galban hearted and lacked sole - being picky but bar AC was way too cold
Location; felt safe as a lone traveler. Friendly staff. Excellent housekeeping staff. No in room coffee maker.
We now live in Pompano Beach but only have a two bedroom condo and use one of the bedrooms as an office, so we need a nice place for our friends from 'up north' to stay when they come to visit. These places are perfect. They are roomy one bedroom and studios with kitchens and even laundry facilties with spotless, nautical furnishings including everything you need for the beach. Our friends can visit us but have their own place, complete with a yard and front porch and all the comforts of home. It gives them--and us--some space and makes visits less hectic and more fun. Everyone we've had stay at these properties loves them and would book them even if they weren't here visiting us. For the cost of a hotel room, our friends have their own 'Cottage by the Ocean' with more space and facilities than they'd get in a hotel--at about half the price. Works perfectly for us and for our friends. We can't say enough good things about this place.
My wife and I spent one week at the Cottage by the Ocean and couldn't be more pleased by everything. I chose this place mainly because of our budget and, personally, did not expect much of it. Just a place to sleep and that was all. But I have to admit, and I am difficult to please, that I was impressed by this ''little'' place. Very clean, the main room is very spacious and the cottage is equipped with everything. You name it, there it is. From Microwave oven to coffee maker, pail and spade for sand castles, even beach towels were provided. Location ? Ideal ! 1 1/2 block from the beach. Walgreens and a few restaurants are at a walking distance. Despite this, it was very quiet, put aside the few Cessna flying low due to Pompano Airstrip a couple miles up Route 1. For us it was perfect. Nestled between the Beach and the Intracoastal Waterway, it is a perfect place to relax. We rented a car at Fort Lauderdale Airport (25 minute trip via Rte 1) and could park right in front of the Cottage ...
Where do I start. I did a job in Coral Springs and was there from August 1, 2007 until November 17, 2007 and these Cottages were really too good to be true. They are just like the pictures. I was undecided being 12 miles from the job but thank God x asked me where would I rather go after work, to a hotel room or to a Cottage 1 1/2 blocks off the beach? So I chose the Cottage and it was by far the best decision I have made in all of my travels. x was my first contact there and I thought that she would be the best person there. Well to my surprise everyone from Elaine to the grounds keepers and office personal were so nice and very personable. If I had any concern with the Cottage I was staying in all I had to do was call or email them and they would be out no later than the very next day. They really made me feel like family and that meant a lot to me, being 1400 miles from home. It was a very quiet neighbor other than listening to people enjoying themselves. My 2 older boys came down w...
Great location - close to the beach and yet off the road in a quiet neighborhood. Wanted a relaxing week in the sun and Cottages delivered 100%. (The weather, not so much-oh well). Our unit was very clean and well-kept; nautical decor, thick towels, nice kitchen. If the weather had been better, we would have used the patio &/or BBQ grill. So very nice to return to after walking the beach or surrounding area. If you want cozy romance, this is it!! As previous poster said, a hidden gem. Very happy to have found it. Would return tomorrow if we could.
We've stayed at Cottages for two weeks and really enjoyed it. Well-equipped kitchen, beach chairs, very close to the beach, fast wireless internet, huge bed. Was really nice. Added benefit is a porch with table and chairs and BBQ. We enjoyed our coffee there. It had anti-mosquito net so it was great to sit there. There was Publix and Wallmart close. We had a nice trip to Palm Beach. I would definitely recommend it.
The cottage I rented was clean and welcoming. The owner and staff were anxious to make me feel at home and comfortable. The accommodations are not palatial, but if you are interested in neat and well-kept rooms, Cottages by the Ocean will more than satisfy you needs.
