As I was just staying overnight before going to the airport in the morning I liked the proximity to the airport bus stop. As well as that the staff were friendly and the room a good size.
The location to the centre of the city was the best thing with hotel. I think the rooms were old and not very nice.
The location is excellent in the centre of Brindisi. Our room was also very big.
The management were most helpful and friendly. It was very well located-near port ,old town and shops. great location for short stay.value for money.
Very polite service. Good location. Parking of a car is rather difficult
nice place, good location and service
Hotel reception staff were very helpful and available at all times. The location is beautiful right across the street from the harbour. Our room was looking a bit tired there were stains on the walls and the carpet was in need of repair or replacement.
Very little. The receptionist tried very hard to find a room which we were happy with when we first arrived, and was very helpful. But this is a very, very tired hotel which does not, in my opinion merit a 4 star rating. The hotel desperately needs a complete makeover. The foyer is covered with a rumpled faded dirty carpet which is ready for a skip. We accepted the third room we were shown. The first non smoking room stank of smoke, the second had a broken toilet seat, but the third was absolutely fine, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is completely DIY, as no tables are laid up and you have to get your own cutlery from an open drawer. Plastic glasses for the juice, and on both days I had breakfast there I was given a cracked jug for coffee and a cracked cup to drink it from. The cup was so well used that all the glaze had long gone from the rim! The only reason we did not cancel on arrival was because the other 4 star hotel was full.
Hotel with great old world charm - a bit worn, but none the less very charming and with a good location close to the main streets. Nice room with great sea view - and the best breakfast I've had in Italy.
I liked the style of the furniture and the effort to preserve the historic atmosphere of the early 19th century. The slow speed of internet services rendering it ineffective.
The staff were great. The receptionist was terrific, going out of her way to help me find the location of a business I had to visit. Rooms were large with every comfort a traveller could need. Great location right on the harbour front overlooking the sea and within walking distance of the main shopping centre and loads of restaurants. Would return. No drinking glasses in the room even though there was a mini-bar. I suppose I should have asked but didn't so my fault!
Beautiful hotel We didn't receive anything but a cup of tea for braekfadst because of an early leaving to the airport, although I had asked it in advance at the booking and we paid for a breakfast.
The friendliness of the people
Nice size rooms, clean and tidy Too far from the centre of town. It is in the middle of the industrial area and is not good for tourists who do not have own transport. To return to the centre of town cost 20€ each way.
friendliness of personnel (reception & cleaning staff), internet availability, guaranteed enclosed parking, possibility to smoke just outside room location is in industrial zone and not easily reachable without car, but for us this was OK (we were visiting friends and did not care about "touristic" aspects)
Economic, near the port, clean, secure parking, free wi-fi Maybe just far-way to the center, but with the car we tooked 5 minutes
The staff were very friendly It was a fair way out of town, very difficult to get to. I was not close to the port.
Location, location, location not ideal being in the middle of an industrial estate
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful in making further travel arrangements for me. Very nice and quiet area. Good food. Would have been maybe a little better had it been located in the town center, but I enjoyed my stay immensely nonetheless.
nice people, problems got solved immediately, save parking, quiet area
Long distance from Restaurants
Close to client facilities, mini appartment good for own cooking very plain and simple and noisy, but that is rural industrial South-Italy I suppose!
The Masseria itself is a charming stone farm with beautiful rooms, pleasant gardens and a nice swimming pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The local town, Messagne, was a very welcome surprise with a charming old town and castle and some excellent restaurants (the Giudamino, behind the church in the old town, especially recommended). You need to be patient to get hot water - but it is there! The breakfast coffee was also a low point (in Italy!) - esp the cappucini.
The quiet atmosphere and the friendly staff. Nice room.
We particularly enjoyed how gently peaceful but formal the hotel was. We liked being able to do the things that we needed to do without our privacy being intruded upon. The staff were wonderful. The room that we chose was excellent. The breakfast was excellent, clean and generous. There was problem with beetles in our room, with very many on arrival and during the night. I don't think that they were cockroaches, but some looked as though they may be. There was also no hot water in the late evenings and in the morning we could only get the temperature up to a certain point, no hot enough for a shower. The biggest problem was getting to the hotel: the directions and maps need to be much clearer - we struggled and needed help on each of the times we tried to find our way back. Having said this, I would not want any of the staff to think that there was a fault with the way that they handled things - they and the hotel were lovely.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were bright, clean and very comfortable. We paid 25 euros each extra for dinner at the Masseria which was a typical Italian meal with local specialities which was delicious and definately recommended. They also make their own wine we tried the rose as they recommended it to go with the meal and it was lovely. We stayed at the hotel for one night on our way back to the airport. It is very accessible to Brindisi airport but tucked away in the countryside which didn't make it feel that it was just a stop off home.
It was a lovely tranquil Hotel in which to unwind. Quite music over breakfast was a nice touch! The pool was enjoyable. We felt that more could have been written about the hotel and its surroundings, and what the local attractions were and where it is best to shop and eat!
Very calm surroundings wth a nice pool. Excellent big evening dinner You absolutely need a car with gps or you get lost
All staff were friendly and very helpful. It was in a good position near t airport but with no aircraft noise and close to a town where plenty of shops and restarants. The large flat screen tv in room did not work. Whilst we were provided with a much smaller flat screen tv the original was neither taken for repair or the fault rectified during our week stay. We were not advised why this was.
