Excellent staff, excellent location, clean and comfortable room, quiet. Would recommend to anyone that wants a great place at a great price. WiFi in the room would cut out a lot.
The rooms were clean and has your basic needs. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We needed to use the phone to confirm a tour and the guy at the front desk called for me. They also stored our bags for us while we went out since check out was at noon and we didn't have to leave until later. The beach was not even a minute walk away. The market was across the street and there were placed to eat all around us. The location was great. I wish the wi-fi worked throughout the hotel and not just in our room.
The price is obviously a plus. The staff were really nice and the concierge spoke really good English. The air conditioning worked really well. The pool is beautiful however right in the middle of everything so everyone is watching you from the restaurant and the hotel rooms. I also liked the location, it felt right inside of the culture of Puerto Vallarta, it didn't give off that resort vibe at all, if that's what you're looking for. The shower we had would always flood the entire bathroom, with only a thin curtain and no ledge to catch the excess water. Also, everything just felt dirty. We found a weird yellowish stain on our sheets and they always felt a little sticky. Oh and by far the worst part was all of the fleas. There were hundreds of fleas in the bed, on the floor. Everywhere. And even though the air conditioning worked, it was so loud it's hard to hear your spouse talk.
Being in the heart of the city. Walk to cathedral, bus to Arches for snorkelling, local authentic Emilio Zapata market. Family owned restaurants Main city street noise. Get room off Main street
Roof top pool often empty ( while I was there ) Roof top restaurant awesome food and cheap Maid were friendly Gilberto - one of the front desk employee Who is very friendly and alway smiling and goes beyond to help you if you need anything. Roof top restaurant only open at 4pm and closed Mondays. It was cheap and good food. Wish they were open earlier Did not sell or provide ice Bedsheets and towels often stained-
Price bathrrom smelled like sewer bed was VERY hard pillows were hard
Hotel Encino is a charming old world beauty at a great price! Great location near markets, shops, restaurants and beach/boardwalk.
Nothing. Did not get free cancellation! Still had to pay. I will be fighting with my credit card. Even outside of three days. They still refused to cancel for free.
Front desk staff was friendly and hotel is easy access to boardwalk. Room was in poor condition. Stains on bedding, mattress hard and uncomfortable, and had to stand on a chair to reach the A/C unit. Booked another hotel and checked out within an hour. Encino refused to give a refund.
Booked at a great price of $50. Not sure I would stay at their published price of 1200 peosos. A bit expensive. Very clean, very comfortable, very quiet, very friendly staff, great location, but no character. No character. Could have been in any city on n the US
The staff and service at this hotel were above and beyond expectations. The location is perfect being that it is steps away from everything that Viejo Vallarta offers and even closer to the malecon and the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Like one of the reviewers noted, I too was placed in a room that faced the air conditioning units in the courtyard. The best outcome for this situation is that I know I would have been moved to a better room if I had asked. But I was only there one night so didn't bother.
Sightseeing & relaxed & ate ALOT of authentic Mexican Foods Loved EVERYTHING I definitely will be back VERY soon
Very very clean and comfy. Great breakfasts. Close to beach & restaurants Can't think of nothing

The breakfast was great and the service at breakfast was great. The staff does not respect your belongings that you leave behind your room. I left my sun glasses and when I came back I had no sun glasses.
THE ROOM WAS LIKE NEW . THE BED WAS INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE. THE ROOMS AIRCONDITIONING WORKED PERFECT. ..... I HAD A PROBLEM EXCHANGING MONEY AT THE BANK NEXT DOOR TO THE HOTEL, AND THE HOTEL ASST. MANAGER WENT TO BANK THE BANK TO HELP WITH SITUATION !!! IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CLOSER TO THT BEACH BUT IT WAS ONLY A 8 MINUTE TAXI RIDE (TAXI RIDE $5 DOLLARS U.S)
The hotel was literally about 3 min from the airport, but even though it's so close you don't hear all the noise that comes with. Wing close to airports. The breakfast was delicious and there is an excellent. Also go to the restaurant Alta it's great. We only requested 1 key card for the room because we were only staying 1 night, and you need your key card to turn on all the lights and electricity in the room, which we didn't know in advance. So always get at least 2 cards so if 1 person leaves.
Staff always accommodating
Rooms are big and seem newish. Takes a bus ride to get to the beach. Nice clientele. Desk was very helpful. No
Since it is pretty early for heavy tourist traffic, the rate was unbelievable.. Beautiful pool, great restaurant, free full breakfast. Very modern. Professional staff. Nice exercise room. Loved it. Nothing
A very nice modern hotel. Rooms were spacious. Staff was helpful. Learn to take the bus because it is away from the beaches and away from downton. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. Location. Safe neighborhood but nothing ingesting near by. Great place for a short stay.
