the hotel was dirty very dirty the airco was making a lot of noice and there was the smell of urine
Location was really good, 2 block from the beach, plenty of restaurants in the area This hotel is a dump, there were very limited options to stay in Recife during the world cup so ownership took advantage of this. The rooms were small, old beds with just one linen and one cover, shower was disgusting and no hot water. Breakfast was decent, but bistro was smelly and dark, it was depressing, the whole property was like that Most of the staff was friendly, none of the them speak english, some spoke a little spanish but they tried to communicate with a great attitude, with the exception of a dark haired lady, I asked her a couple of very simple questions and she snapped back with a resounding, " nao sei",she seemed to be very upset to have a hotel full of real tourists, maybe she missed all the prostitutes that work in the corner and that must be the regular clientele of this establishment It is a shame the owners of this place did not spend a little money to clean it up for an event like the world cup. I'd would be ashamed to have guests from all over the world in a place like this
Not many things, breakfast maybe the smell, the state of conservation
Wonderful pool area. Only the bar desk, not nice sitting area nearby
The hotel in conveniently located in Boa Viagem, close enough to the Ocean and at the same time far enough to avoid the noise and traffic of the oceanside. Hotel staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet excellent. Like most of the buildings in Recife having a smell caused by the high humidity levels, this was not an exception, even though the staff made everything possible to help
Pool area was excellent room was a bit simple
1. sport center closed between 12 and 4pm. Absurd. I choose the hotel even for that reason, and if I wanted to jogg at 3pm I have to make a story at thereception. 2. I asked for a little iron for 1 hour. they do not have it for security reason
i stayed for 4 days and it was what i expected. so far so good staff
It's close to the airport and offers free internet access and air conditioning in the room. Big room. Dirty room, hairs and band aid in the shower. Breakfast was very minimal. Towels had been washed but still had stains on them.
It was convenient to the airport and not too expensive. The staff was very nice... very helpful. I was surprised to find what appeared to be the remnants of the maintenance staff have earlier worked on the bathroom. There was a dirty towel on the floor and work boot footprints in both the bathroom and from the bathroom to the front door. But, at midnight... I was very tired and just accepted the room. The included continental breakfast was not as plentiful as I have seen with most hotels in Brazil. The WiFi did not work in my room, even though the router was just down the hall.
The staff was trying to be helpful, but their lack of English skills makes it very difficult to converse. One young lady at the desk was proficient in English and was particularly helpful and knowledgeable. The restaurant is quite good. Every meal I had there was tasty and the daily breakfast was hard to beat. The view of the ocean over the palm trees is quite nice. No apparent ability to call taxis. The morning rush to the football match was a mess, they were completely unprepared. The rooms are old and dated, but comfortable enough. Without air conditioning, they would have been unbearable. The air conditioner window cut-out leaked due to the driving rains. Little bugs in the room on the desk, probably mites. Hopefully they are still in Recife and not in my home! This is a no frills place a bit further southeast than the nicer areas with perhaps more action in Recife.
My stay at the Plaza Hotel was great. The hotel has the views of Recife downtown and even the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accomodating to all my needs. I loved the free wireless internet in my room and throughout all restaurant/bar/lobby and even in pool area and game room. The Plaza hotel is near everything. The new remodeling looks nice, with a new sports court, pool, bar. The restaurant on 13th floor is beatiful. Their breakfast is superb with lots of variety, made to order omelets, smoothies, juices, etc. I will stay there again ! Potugues: Eu gostei muito do Plaza Hotel. o hotel e bem localizado e o servico foi muito bom. Gostei muito de ter free interent no meu quarto e em todo o hotel. Eu recomendo este hotel. There was some remodeling on the apts, and I heard that they will be updating the outside of the building next, but it wasn't a problem. Portugues: Eu notei que eles ainda estao aprimorando os quartos (apt) e outras areas como a parte externas do predio, mas nao foi problema para mim.
It was the only hotel available at this time. I have never stayed at a hotel like this. The rooms looked like a small dirty apartment. Also they pushed two beds together to make a king bed and the sheets didnt fit the matress. The matress was exposed because the sheet was for a small bed. The air condition was an old box conditioner that was super loud! The toilet seat was a cushion plastic seat yuk!!! I have never written a bad comment because I too am a hotel owner but this was beyond gross!!!!
Only the location. The elevator was broken, internet was too expensive, there were cockroaches in my room. My laundry disappeared for two days.
The view, the pool, and the brakefast were nice. The bath tab was really old and the first time i opend the shower yellow water came out. The location is not really in Recife at all have to travel 15-20 min fro city center. They make you pay for everything that they present as "services" e.g. gym.
The hotelstaff wa very helpfull Swimming in the sea wa not possible because of the rockets just in front of the hotel and the shark warnings
do not stay here no air conditioning in room, dirty floors and bathroom, unfriendly staff
The staff was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Good English. Not a U.S. 4-star. Don't expect that type of comfort.
The service was great, the food was excellent and it was very good value.
We have apreciaed the cordiality of the staff and the disponability of them. The holtel faciities was good. The room and was poor, several times we was not able to open the door. Very poor was the qualitly of the bathroom, seams like a 2 star hotel.
Probably one of the worse hotels i have ever stayed. As a business traveler do not recommend to anyone. Breakfast full of moskitos around the food . Temperature was a nightmare. Rooms have no blanket !!!!!
The hotel is ok, but the five stars are overrated. It is a 3 1/2 star hotel. Internet connection was poor. The beach was not very impressive. If you look for better beach facilities you should move closer to Recife (Boa Viagem) where leisure activities will also be better. The personnel was nice as in most Brazilian hotels where I have been.
Location and breakfast no safe in room (we were given a key to the safe) - Ants in the room and on bed - Pool had no staff or towels, had to go to front desk and get towels. Lobby bar closed early 9:30pm, front desk spoke no english (very difficult to ask for things) Pool is not handicap accessible, we had to climb stairs to get to pool
