nothing. did not like my stay at the hotel at all,to start with no room left in parking, the shower in our room was not good, the bar staff where not very nice and very expensive for what it is .will not be returning.
The hotel was kept to a very high standard and we were pleased with every aspect of it
There was an air of unobtrusive efficiency Many of the breakfast plates were dirty!
Quality much like all in chain but staff very friendly and efficient, keen to please Nothing
the way 2 staff chatted with a guest whilst others were waiting to be served. came accross as quite rude
to pay for carparking in there carpark when you have paid them over £300 to stay for to nights
the room was very noisey
location of hotel breakfast on saturday was poor - not enough food, poor service. had to sort ourselves out and after requesting items still did not gwet them. have filled in complaint to hotel as above
Comfort of room.
We were a little disappointed with our room - we stayed in the classic suite and have stayed in many 4 star hotels which have far nicer rooms.
Polite and helpful staff, beautiful room, excellent food and facilities. Everything you should be entitled to expect from a 5star hotel.
It was beautiful, clean and luxurious. The staff were very friendly & helpful. An added touch that they would park the car for you - made a big difference on a busy saturday. The food in the Simon Radley restaurant was lovely and the staff were great. We had a fab time.
Great customer service and attitude of staff Prob with hot water making tea lukewarm!
I was upgraded to the Presidential Suite which is normally £1400 per night. Amazing hotel!!!!
The breakfast was superb. Both food and service were exceptional. The room was dark. The weather was bad and therefore the light outside was poor, but I was unable to find a position where I could sit and read comfortably. There was not a light which I could sit under.
The situation is ideal A little disappointed with 'The Brasserie'
We were celebrating our Silver Wedding - this was a last minute deal and we managed to secure a room for about 50% less of normal rate - on arrival the staff were attentive and after we told them about our Silver Wedding a small complimentary cake was left in the room. We had an automatic upgrade to i think a Classic Deluxe room, which was amazing. This is truly a 5 * hotel, and although only for one night - it lives up to everything described on their website - Amazing... The only thing i would say - is we were not told very much about the SPA facilities, it was a case of find out for yourself - but as we were only in the hotel for one night it wasnt really an issue.
Excellent customer care in every way. Always ready to help but not intrusive. Nothing
The bed was awesome All good
The location was ideal for shopping, short walk to the centre although quite steep if anyone is infirm the inconsideration of other hotel guests who have been out for the night and come back in the middle of the night along corridors being very loud and banging doors, perhaps a notice on all lifts and landing doors saying quiete please think of other guests !!!
The welcome on arrival at reception. The quality of the Wi-Fi Broadband in the rooms and lobby. The no-nonsense breakfast fare. Lining up for the various breakfast items was a bit unorganised and free-for-all.
Comfortable, clean rooms for a few hours sleep. Basic but exactly what would be required of a crash-pad. Only food available is breakfast. If you're hungry at any other time you only have a vending machine.
The locality and the car parking facility. None
Parking facilities and location to town center
clean rooms, helpful staff, free parking. breakfast a bit of a free for all.
Excellent location to celebrate my friends 40th birthday Some contents were stolen from the boot of my car whilst in the car park
Good value for money and very close to the town centre, ideal and convenient for Christmas shopping. The cook food for breakfast was very limited, just scrambled egg and sausages.
Convenient to town centre Bed Mattress needs changing Hollow in middle.!!!!!!!!!!!
Willingness of staff to do extras - order taxis, keep suitcases etc
both luxury of room and wonderful meal a little expensive but not too bad
The design, layout, quality and fixtures in the room and venue too. The dim lighting within the whole venue. More light is needed espescially over mirrors (for ladies applying makeup).
The central position / excellent shower No wardrobe
Lovely room with twin baths and very comfy bed. Staff very pleasant. My dinner in the restaurant was the smallest main course I have ever been served . It was appalling, I would not have the nerve to send something out so small if I were a chef-not good value for money . At a guess, I would say they are using one fish to get 4-6 portions. I didn't want to make a fuss and complain on the night as it was our wedding anniversary! I do feel that for the price of the room that breakfast should be included. We realised that it was not but because we wanted to stay at that hotel we decided to book anyway.
The quirkiness of the room Having to pay for breakfast on top of pricey room. We needed early breakfast so we could leave at 8am and this could not be accomadated. Earliest they could do was 8am - bit dissapointed about this as is was a birthday treat for my partner,
everything at the hotel was excellent but the best thing was the friendliness and efficiency of all staff from check in to check out. I was at the hotel for a family wedding and all staff were very helpful ensuring that all ran smoothly. Absolutely no complaints
Excellent facilities and accomodation, good location. Compared to all other aspects of the hotel, the breakfast was poor. Food was obviously left out for a long time and had deteriorated.
Staff were very friendly and co-operative. the conference facilities were attractive and well managed My sleep was disturbed several times during the night: I was woken three times by noise outside the corridor in the late/early hours, and once in the night by heavy footsteps overhead. I was then unable to sleep from 6am-7am due to continuous heavy footsteps overhead. the acoustics really need to be reviewed and corrected, with adequate door seals and impact absorbing acoustic treatment to the upstairs floors. sleep is your core business.
nice friendly staff, very clean, good location a few more signs up telling you where things are
The hotel itself was excellent, we could stay there again. I enjoyed using the facilities of the leisure centre. Dining was elegant. There was a family with young children above us, i could hear them running about.
Friendly Staff and Atmosphere, Good Food and spacious bedroom with comfortable mattress. Struggling to keep hotel warm during cold snap.
Friendly helpfull staff nice standard of hotel
The rooms were very clean and comfortable and I can highly recomend the fod from the bar area. Only problem we found was the main restaurant was not fantastic ,the food was average but the bar food was execllent.
Very attentive staff, nothing too much trouble
I thoroughly enjoyed the pool ,steam room etc didnt have time to use the gym but looked very good. Cleanliness perfect ,I am fussy about hotels but ticked the right boxes Drinks were rather expensive even by hotel standards but captive audience
Comfort, space in room, provision of baby facilities, provision of tea/coffee making facilities, situation of the hotel, quality of breakfast Quality and price of evening meals, we felt the food was overpriced, overcooked and did not enjoy the quality of it.
the staff very friendly and was local to the shops, enjoyed my stay
very close to chester city centre, plenty of parking spaces and helpfull staff.
The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. And the rooms were basic, but had everything you needed.
The hotel was within walking distance of the Railway Sation and town. I was diappointed that the door handle had only half of the screws to ensure it remained in place. The walls were very thin, and I could hear the other occupants in rooms several doors away. One of the lights above the bed did not work..so felt there was poor attention to detail. Otherwise, the hotel was fine.
convenient location, good shower, friendly staff breakfast could have been better, not hot enough
It was convenient and the staff very pleasant. Nice hotel. Our room was rather cold (No. 11) as one of the radiators was not working and the other required bleeding to ensure it was working to full capacity. Remote control for TV went walkabout, otherwise everything was fine.
clean room and good location there was a strong smell of paint on landing made worse by heating being on full wack which made my asthma bad & the beds were very old and uncomfortable both me & my partner did not sleep well and ached in the morning.
Very helpful receptionist.
Clean, Friendly, and the food was good no
Delightful staff, nice lounge & bar areas, exceptionally clean, excellent breakfast. Single room was definitely on the small side, but bathroom was spacious.
Its proximity to Chester city Having lived on the continent for many years I found that a continental breakfast didn't only consist of cereals, grapefruit, yoghout and toast, it also consists of cheeses, meats, cold boiled eggs etc.
The location was in walking distance of town and not expensive by taxi. The room was tidy and clean. Lots of bed covers due to heating going off. Good breakfast for little money and service good. It was cold the heating only came on in the morning and afternoon it was cold duing the day. It was cold in the breakfast area.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived some two hours before book in, they let us leave the car at the hotel and even gave us a map of Chester with directions of the best way to get in to the city centre. Our room was very clean and cosy. Would use this hotel again. Room was a little on the small side, but as their was only two of us and we did not spend time in the room other than to sleep it wasn't really a problem for us. The friendly atmosphere and spotlessly clean hotel more than made up for the room size.
The hotel was good value for the money, about 20 min. walk from the town centre, bus into town was also available. Ample parking. Spacious accommodation
A warm welcome greeted us upon arrival. We had two rooms one in each courtyard which were very good - one was a bit small with not much storage but ok for the few days of our stay. The second room (twin) was excellent. Both had all the facilities you would expect. Breakfast (continental) was adequate, however you could pay extra for cooked. Hotel in pleasant surroundings but more than the 15 minute walk into Chester that we were advised. During our stay the bar wasn't particularly well stocked with cask beers and lagers not available (run out).
The room was comfortable & the breakfast was very good. We were in an attic room with a sloping roof which made the bathroom slightly difficult to use.
This is a lovely hotel whose rooms are both attractive and practical. The breakfast was outstanding as was the conservatory in which it is served. The local bus services are spotty and complex due to multiple companies and stops. Fortunately taxis are cheap.
The staff were friendly and the room was lovely We were in an outside room and it was cold during the night when the heating had gone off but it was the first really cold night of the year so far and that won't have helped !
Easy to find, couple of miles out the centre, free car parking No draught beers, bar prices extortinate £5.00 tv did not work properly Poor breakfast
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They accommodated our needs. The room in which we stayed was not like the ones shown on the website which was the main reason I booked in the first place. This was quite disappointing. However the overall stay was ok.
City center location is ideal for shops, bars, restaurants. Street noise at night (we stayed on a Friday night). Breakfast was extremely slow - 30-40 minutes wait time. Corners of the bathroom floor looked as if they hadn't been cleaned for many years. Cleaner knocked on our room door in spite of 'do not disturb' sign.
friendly staff we had lunch there and was very good breakfast was poor , and we had to wait 30 minutes to be served
a lovely traditional pub, and the staff were all very friendly - the food in the restaurant was excellent. The room was a bit lopsided but to be honest it added to the charm of the place so we actually quite liked it.
The central location and the "Old World Charm" - very charming and very atmospheric. Also staff were friendly, helpful and service was extremely quick. Breakfast was good and freshly made. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Our room was over the public bar and was a bit noisy - luckily we didn't stay on the Karaoke night! Beer deliveries started quite early (but to be fair much what you'd expect staying in a very old but lively city centre pub).
The staff were fantastic especially Luke the manage,r food was excellent, the beds very comfortable had a great time and will go back soon No it was fantastic
Evening food value, and good rage of Real Ales Poor service at breakfast.
The hotel was in the centre, good food, great staff, And next time we go back to chester we are going right back to the pied bull
the location and the shower the missing remote, the lack of hairdryer and shocking breakfast.
The atmosphere in the public bar and the cleanliness of the room the mattresses were very uncomfortable, we had to use the bed covers to stop the springs attacking us!
old world charm. we booked the 4 poster room which was very good. food was only ok. could have been better.
Modern Friendly staff, the decor in exec room superb, minimalist and cool, next time will eat there, but a good hotel
Excellent room.Breakfast very good Trying to get in was difficult as was parking
Very good location for shopping and to visit Michael Caines Restaurant Our original room was noisy, however the hotel were very good about changing room. The Michael Caines restaurant was cold and noisy from the Champagne bar next door. The food was excellent
Central location, new and modern Poor breakfast, pricey and limited parking
Excellent location - 2 minute walk to the city centre. Room was amazing value for money - standard room would have been the equivalent to a luxury room in many hotels. Breakfast was delivered to our room free of charge. Will definitely stay there again.
close to city with comfortable rooms excellent parking and a fantastic michael caine restaurant . staff very polite and helpful
Comfortables beds Reception area too dark
The room we stayed in was very nice, very big and modern styling. The staff were very helpful and there was always somebody on reception if you needed them. The car park is alittle bit tight to drive around and the pillows were hard but there only little things to worry about.
The staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. We were attendong a horse race meeting and they ensured that our room was ready at twelve midday two hours before normal check in times in orde rfor us to get changed to enjoy our daym excellent service all tround No
Found it to be very good, could not fault it. No
not too far out of town and quiet. rooms spacious and lots of hot water - someting 5 * hotels cannot provide! early in the evening the bar man was under pressure because he was on his own - but he was polite and proffessional
Pool & fitness room Dining room staff at breakfast not very helpful or cheerful. Had to request a change to a no smoking room after booking in but this was done without fuss.
I enjoyed my stay just for a chill out relaxing time. Staff were very polite and helpful and I think they felt for me and my friend as the prices were rather high for drinks and food. I thought the prices for food and drink was expensive. At £15 a person for breakfast was too much for me and my friend to pay. And we didn't have an option to just have a couple of rounds of toast. We were told we could wait till 10.30am when they would serve some breakfast in the bar. So we waited from 8.30am for our breakfast only to be told by the barman that we could have had it from 9. So a bit confusing and not much choice.
The room The restaurant service for breakfast was rubbish. They ran out of plates dishes cereals, croissants, choc pains, yoghurt, coffee was stewed, bacon half cooked. Fawlty towers looked like a five star compared to this hotel. No managerment skills was in place for a busy weekend. A couple waited over 12 mins for some bowls for cereal and in the end i grapped hold of some from the cold well to gave them to the couple which is not my job but the caterer in me could not bare for them to wait any longer.
leaving food, rooms, standards, waiting times for things, price
Had a few drinks in the hotel bar and had breakfast
Expensive Internet and very limited room service menu
friendlyness of staff. freedom of movement. Easiness of parking
The staff were incredibly welcoming and sympathetic to the problems I had with my baby girl at the time and were more than happy to help with any problems. The room was rather cold, although tea making facilities were provided in the room, there was no plug socket near the kettle so had to move the kettle to near the bed everytime we needed boiled water. The tea table also collapsed when moved. I would stay here again but would ask for a small heater and a safer table.
the staff were hilarious and made us feel very welcome
Good choice for breakfast En-suite in room poor. Very cramped for space and shower poor
Very good location, with park and ride next door. All was good
The staff were extremely pleasant in all areas my sister and I commented on how friendly everyone was. nothing
hotel location room size and bed size in 'standard' room
Good quality hotel, but see points below. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. No Air Conditioning, no mini-bar, too close to main road with windows open as too hot without air con.
Location and the residents bar open till 4 am
It was comfortable, had all the facilities I needed on my overnight visit. Most importantly it was just the right temperature, hotels can be too hot! and I liked the speedy pay as you go system.
all in all ok if you need a bed then its ok staff were polite not as friendly as some of the comparative hotels Busy but overflow car park rear with poor signs to advice you Room had signs of where and tear and looking a little worn Rooms compact
swimming pool bathroom suit needs modenisation
i liked the leisure faciities especially the swimming pool which was large and very well kept. the breakfast was fine but some things were slightly over cooked.
lovely room bar prices a little expensive
very comfortable room and good leisure facilities. pleasent relaxed restaurant serving excellent food.
Unfortunately we did not stay at the Blossoms, we were moved to the Craxton Wood Hotel and were not impressed.
the location was excellent, and staff friendly and trying their best. General cleanliness in rooms was poor. toilet filthy on arrival ( was cleaned after complaint )cobwebs on bedside lamps, dust on tables and TV, menu was quite expensive, and very limited.
The location was fantastic, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The staff were abrupt, for example when I checked in I explained I had tried to call on several occasions with regard to parking. The receptionist was very abrupt and said 'I've been on my own all day, alright?' Not my problem as far as I'm concerned. Also, the lift is very claustrophic! and I'm not Claustrophobic!!!
location, room size and cleanliness, choice at breakfast was good.Nice to see a choice of fish. Ithought the price of drinks in the bar were over the top.
Hotel was tastefully decorated and re-furbished, and was excellent value for money, we had a fantastic stay! The hotel was extremely warm, even with the windows open, and it was snowing outside!! the radiators were always on full heat!
Excellant location and value for money. The car park is offsite if the weather is bad or an elderly person is with you.
Location and comfort of the hotel Breakfast was a bit chaotic and service could have been quicker
Excellent location and superb service as always at this hotel None other than could have done with a week of been pampered !
It's central position is the only reason we choose to stay at the Blossoms. However thinfs have improved since the re vamp, although there are still areas that need attention. The light fitting falling off the wall, that needed to be fixed. The broken crockery that had to be replaced, the requested wine glasses that never materialised, the ice bucket that took two requests to arrive, and the non exsistant phone call that we asked for to tell us our room was ready.
The fetaures of the room fitted well with the period features of Chester. Felt that it may have needed air conditioning, as on the day we stayed it was extremely clammy!
They gave us a disabled room for the floor space as we had 2 children with us both needing cots They didn't have our booking made on this site. There is parking for about 10 cars and the fire alarm went off just after we got the kids to sleep and we had to stand outside for half an hour in the cold. Not the hotels fault but still annoying!
Very helpful and pleasant staff, very clean room and comfy bed, also very convenient for town centre. The lift was always accessible and security was good. Car parking can be a problem 6 days a week between 10 am and 6 pm. although I beleive there are 14 car parking spaces at the rear of hotel, if you can get one.
An excellent stay, with friendly staff! Only problem we had was that the website we used made a mistake with our room booking. The staff at the Premier sorted this quickly and efficently and advised us to book directly through there website in future to save any mistakes!
the friendly helpful staff the bath hand rail was hanging off and could have been quite dangerous
The reception staff were especially friendly, helpful and knowledgable They knew Chester well recommeding somewhere to eat when we asked and supplied with a taxi number.
All the staff excellent and helpfull, Denise very good. Friday evening £21 meal - deal good value, ass manager dinning excellent A great two days I booked 4 rooms all eight of us thought the hotel excellent NO COMPLAINTS
Good location and comfortable
The friendliness of the staff, the location of the hotel, the breakfast was excellent, it had a restaurant on site for lunch/evening meals and a bar if you needed it everyone was very helpful.
its location easy access to station and city centre. and facility is clean and new. breakfast start time is not convinient in weekend(from 8:00). due to train schedule i gave up having breakfast.
Good central position. Well trained, efficient and friendly staff. Limited parking
good food room too small
A large comfortable room with large bathroom
The staff where all very friendly, the food was fab, can't wait to go back! Facilities where good but no much information about it, I had to ask a few questions about different things as information was not available, made me feel a bit awkward to be honest!
Facilities were superb, staff were excellent. Food was slightly pricey and the coffee at the end never turned up!!
Lovely setting. Very comfortable rooms, plus great spa facilities with fantastic showers! Initially we had a problem because the patio doors on our room wouldn't lock but this was sorted out quite quickly and we found the staff really friendly and helpful. Our key-card appeared wiped every day, so we had to get reception to re-set it for us nearly every time we tried to get into our room. This might have been a security precaution because there was a wedding going on, but it meant going back to reception each time we wanted just to get into our room. However, it was always dealt with quickly, and didn't detract from our enjoyment, but it might prove more trying for older visitors.
relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, nice hotel. maybe room could have been slightly larger.
hotel restaurant food very overpriced and certainly not value for money
I really enjoyed my time at Rowton Hall, although the Breakfast was very expensive and the room was not up to the standared of other hotels I have stayed in. Also I was unable to have the room any earlier than 3 even though I was coming to a wedding their.
The hotel room / suite was fantastic. It was very close to the centre of Chester and ideal for all the local attractions
