The hotel offers a free taxi service within a range of 15 km. We used this service to and from a music festival in Waregem which is around 15km from Kortrijk. Even calling the taxi at 1-2 at night they still take us back to the hotel free of charge. Excellent outstanding service. The rooms are good with airconditioning and the breakfast is very good. Conclusion: hotel was a very good experience.
Nothing in particular, everything was good, just the way it should be. I enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant.
the hotel is located on a road junction, thus there is a lot of noise (Friday & Saturday evening lots of noise from local youths/night clubs)
The special all-in menu's are very good
The hotel is across Kortrijk's train station (therefore very convenient if traveling by train). It is also quite modern and its buffet breakfast is very good (varied and good quality). I didn't like that they did a "credit card authorization check" just after booking the room. I can not see the difference between a charge and a verification and I normally don't like these things (as I don't expect them when using booking.com).
Very clean and smart. Very helpful staff
Central location A bit to modern but that is personal taste
The staff were very friendly and very helpfull. The food was excellent and central location was a greta benefit. The free shuttle service that the hotel offered withing a 15km radius was excellent and a great idea. This made our stay and our business arrangements so much easier as were attending an event in the expo. The closness to the station and the main street the hotel was a little noisy, but if you closed the windows and used the air conditioning that was available in your room is did not become a problem.
Almost everything Their Internet connection was poor
Short walk to the local pubs The bar and restaurant was closed which was not very helpful. No tea making facility as one would expect from at least a 4* hotel. Staff during breakfast was very rude except the chef. Chose this hotel on the understanding that it might be part of the Park hotels but it turned out independent rather than chain of park hotels.
Location, Car Park security (oposite the police station). The WiFi link was weak.
The restaurant was not open for evening meals. We ate at one of the local restaurants, which was very good.
the breakfast is of a very nice quality, the free parking is very useful and some services like lend umbrella are very much appreciated details. I would have liked to have a mini-bar inside the room, like we find in most of the hotels.
Staff were courteous and efficient, room was comfortable although a little small for a hotel in this class, breakfast buffet was excellent. More information on hotel facilities could be provided in the room (e.g. no information provided in room or by staff on breakfast times). Some information on what to do in the local area would be useful in the public areas.
Great central location, quiet rooms & good standards of decor. Great breakfast. They did not have our booking & we had to stay in another hotel for the 1st night which was inconvenient. We had booked 2 rooms & as way of compensation one of the rooms was upgraded to a suite for the remaining 2 nights & we received a complimentary bottle of wine so the hotel did try to make amends.
Location, comfort Wi-Fi internet connection was out of order
It was in an excelent location. The air conditioning was very good in the room.
A smile on every one's face when you see them,,a feeling to be at home!
central no frig smaal room
Loved everything about tis hotel. Comfortable, clean and relaxing. Great view of the bridge from the room too. Nice breakfast and we would definitely return if we were in the area again.
Non smoking. Quiet room. Very comfortable bed. Helpful and polite staff. Interior looking slightly dated - needs some maintenance. For example: the wooden floor in our room had splits. Slight water leakage along the floor from bathroom into bedroom.
Very pleasant welcome at check-in. Well situated, attractive hotel.
The quiet, peaceful atmosphere and the air of friendliness. Two matters that required attention, reported on Saturday on arrival had not been rectified when we left on Wednesday - The plug in the washbasin was so ineffective I had to continuouisly run the water whilst shaving and washing and the safe battery needeed replacement (or so it seemed) so that we could not use this facility.
The location is very nice. And rooms are not small. The cleaning was not the best possible.
Have used this Hotel several times on my trips to Europe and have always found it excellent value for money and with a professional and pleasant staff Did not appreciate the lounge/bar which is still smoking. It is amazing how you get used to a no smoking enviroment
great hotel - good food and lots of character. also good wireless connection air conditioning did not work - room was very stuffy
big bed, loo separate from bathroom, big bathroom, noisy ventilation when bedroom window open
nice room, good localization, free (working) internet -
Our room was first class
Mycket service inriktad personal, fantastiskt snygg inredning.
Vänlig personal Ej prisvärd frukost samt ingen hotellparkering
bra läge utmärkt med taxidealen mellanhotell o expo viss personal för oerfaren
As others have said, the bathroom is only separated from the bedroom by a wall of glass (frosted in the middle so you cant see everything) which may be a bit unsettling for some! We arrived at the hotel very late and were still made to feel extremley welcome. The hotel was amazing, it has a great design and a really nice feel to it, the mix of the old and the new worked very well and following on from our stay I would heartily recommend it
very modern bright spacious rooms
Very nice, modern, stylish, clean, superbly quiet rooms for an Hotel. Good value for a nice Hotel. An issue with entrance to reception meant a long walk from Car Park. But that would not put me off staying again.
Modern attitude towards customer service was very pleasing; room was very nice and neat, well equipped. Checking in time could be earlier.
nice design water toilet was brown
Contemporary interior design, the idea of the room key integrated in an I-Pod Poor service at the breakfast, breakfast room not really clean...
Desisn. Confort. Breakfast.
design and quality of the service poor breakfast
A unique modern hotel based around an historic windmill, with subterranean corridors and a comprehensive wellness suite. The bar was well stocked and the wifi was free and it worked! Everything was professionally and efficiently presented.Full marks! The rooms were bright and air conditioned and open plan. This openness included the shower and toilet facilities! A feature that less uninhibited guests may find "interesting".
Very nice staff and nice SPA There is no door in the bathroom... only glass. It can be litle bit confuse
Food & service good Poor sound insulation. I was kept awake most of the night with people comming and going and doors banging.
We needed a place to sleep after a wedding. It was perfect for that. Breakfast was good. The bed was a little too soft.
Room, Service Food in restaurant was expensive and not particulary good
I have been upgraded to a superior room, large size, very clean good breakfast could stay in the room until 1 p.m. at no additional cost reception was often empty, had to wait 5 minutes location a bit out of the way from the exhibition center taxis are only available if reserved the evening before restaurant overpriced and less choice
Both the bar and restaurant were closed and as the hotel is on the outskirts of town this was very inconvenient.
Attended a dog show No
Gym was open late.
Good service and excellent food, friendly staff
close to expo and katho The rooms would definately need a refurbishment. Minibar on the rooms would also be a nice thing to have.
This B&B is quite new and was a wonderful “find” Our room was clean, well-appointed and spacious. The owners are really special and take great pride in their establishment and welcoming guests Breakfast was fresh, generous, and the home-made jams were delicious. Just half an hour from Gent and Brugge it is a great location to see the district and much cheaper than staying in those towns. We would definitely recommend this. The internet did not work for most guests but did work for some. Management is aware and is working hard to fix it.
The owners,(husband & wife),were friendly. We did not see any other staff,& therefore ,they were very busy. The food was well prepared & well served. There were no map for the local area, for the gusts, except for a very large map on the wall in the entrance hall.
Spacious, clean, good facilities Nothing
it was a quiet location but still close enough to the city Road works
The beautiful stairway going downstairs. Here also the answer on question 4 (other) The building style and small size Hotel, family like. If applicable; The Hotel is build near the road. A bit furthere away is even nicer. We are very happy as it is and we would like to come back.
Comfort, Clean and nice rooms
Friendly family run hotel with lots of local character. Although restaurant does not open Friday, Saturday & Sunday, excellent Thai restaurant in short walking distance. Free internet in de luxe rooms. Take fly spray - well bitten by mosquitoes!
The hotel was good value for money with pleasent staff. Breakfast very good. Nice and quiet.
Attitude of the staff friendly and very helpful; excellent breakfast and flexibility of menu.
The friendliness, service and excellent breakfast. the inconvenient placement of the roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and the absence of a shower curtain
The hotel was comfortable with good rooms, pleasant surroundings and a warm feel; the most important thing was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners - they went out of their way to be welcoming and to make our stay really good.
sauna, old things in appartments, rennovated
It was a very cosy room in a house, we had a computer in the rrom and access to the house whenever we wanted. Breakfast was home style and delicious!
Space available, privacy no restaurants nearby (have dinner before coming!)
Welcoming, friendly, quiet location, excellent breakfast, comfortable bed. I had a slightly cramped room but comfortable nonetheless. Hard floor finishes everywhere could make it noisy with inconsiderate guets.
Friendly Atmosphere None
Arrived a bit later and had to check in at 23.15, called the owner and this was not a problem. Very good room, clean and quite new, excellent bed, continental breakfast was good & fresh (lots of fruit.. nice!) Perfect stop in between when driving from Holland to Paris (Disneyland), will be back next time!
Nice welcome. B&B in a pleasant area of Kortrijk. Clean, well equipped room. Lovely continental breakfast, with couteous service. Own key to entrance door. Easy on-street parking. Room with sauna is compact and at top of steep staircase. Had driven a long way, and wanted to freshen up before exploring Kortrijk, but unable to check in before 4 pm. Nice well equipped ensuite, but arrangement a little awkward to negotiate and toilet flush very noisey.
Excptionally obliging owner. A clean, comfy and convenient b& B. Not close to center of town. If you wanted to eat out, it was a bit of a walk
Good for an overnight stop in a compact room. Breakfast was good and well presented. Pleasant 10 minute walk into the town centre for an evening meal, plenty of choice of venues. When I enquired about the sauna operation ( inside the bathroom ) , I was advised it would cost 10 Euro for the electricity! I understood the sauna came with the room as it was promoted as "Double Room with Sauna"
We were really impressed by our big and very cosy room with all facilities (pc with wi-fi included), nice breakfasts (with pleasant and quiet music) - and, of course, by the politeness and hospitality of the hotel's hosts. Exellent! No one was noticed.
Rooms clean, nice size, excellent shower. No bin in room. Artwork in dining room slightly offensive and pornographic images on teacups/teapots are particularly suitable, they were quite inappropriate and would've been very embarassing if travelling with older members of the family, or young children.
Very friendly, close to good shopping centre My sister stayed in the art room, and although the room was cosy and comfortable the paintings of nude woman where a bit overpowering
Very relaxing, comfortable, quiet and friendly. I had a room facing the back so was able to open my window as it was so quiet - the weather was very hot, so this was great! Just a few minutes walk from the station in a residential area. Good basic breakfast. Left feeling very relaxed! Lovely room designs. The owners were very helpful and were available to email before arrival.
Location. We had the opportunity to look at all the rooms before deciding which one we wanted, which was great. All the rooms were different and were all very nice Lots of mosquitos in the room and got covered in bites. If I stayed there again I would take a repellent machine
An interstingly different and quirky hotel, nice to go somewhere with character, very helpful and friendly proprietor. A quiet area but only 5 minutes walk to the main town and station.
Very helpful personnel, really visitor oriented, with good indications. We booked 3 rooms and saw some more; somo of them are really well designed, others are a bit strange, but always different and surprising
helpful considerate staff; good size apartment; good parking and location to city centre and facilities
Quiet location within walking distance of town. Small and personal with a nice breakfast. Thank you for the elevator (lift).
the decoration. Nice colours
Welcoming owner and staff, personal service, honesty bar and very distinctive individual rooms at a fair price. Hotel is well situated in quiet street
Our room was large and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was a real treat too. We were very well looked after by Linda the owner and would cetainly return of we had the opoertunity.
Personal boutique hospitality is definitely growing as a trend lately, and this is an excellent choice for a luxury (feel like home) stay.
Great service & atmosphere
We enjoyed the beautiful house; the very warm welcome, including restaurant recommendations; and the location which was very close to the centre of town.
Very nice and stylish interior. The hotel staff was very personal and extremely friendly. You felt 'just at home'
I book 60 nights/year via booking and the rating of other guests represented by booking is almost always OK. This time it was completely different, it is a terrible hotel. The hotel was a disaster for following reasons: Very loud during the night, the rooms (in the bed) had insects, the beds were too short and when you mention this the host gets rude. they were reluctant of printing a bill. I am happy I got out in one piece. The worst hotel I have stayed in a long time.
Very friendly folks and a huge room by European standards. Free fast internet was also a plus. No bar. But free taxi was available so not so bad.
The owner was wonderful. She gave us alot of interesting information about the area and the history of the hotel. The beds were a little uncomfortable.
Very nice homy hotel. Very convenient for a stay on the way from Belgium to France (just half an hour drive from Lille) The staff speaks good English.
welcome by the host + room was a duplex quite spacious. N/A
Very close to the fair. The taxis are free fron and to the hotel, a big plus!
Everything mostly. Be warned about some rooms if you need to be up to the toilet frequently during the night. They are those with stairs up to the beds with a small lounge and bathroom downstairs. There is a daft old alsatian dog which barks a lot. But as far as you can trust any dog he is harmless. The directions to the hotel from booking.com say first left after the Shell garage. In fact its an Esso garage. Whilst we were there better visibily signs for the hotel went up which should make finding it a lot easier. If its hot you may need to open windows which will let in traffic noise, lots of it first thing in the morning. We had the breakfast the first morning but at 8 euros pppn. it seemed a bit pricey and we didn't bother after that.
Welcome, breakfast : excellent
The room was very comfortable, with both a sitting room and an upstairs bedroom. The hosts were lovely. The location was good too, just a 20 minute drive from Ypres (you will definitely need a car from here).
This quirky 'hotel' might be a bit out of the way, but is of a high standard in a quality building - I particulary liked the Belgian marble staircase (built in 1946). The free WI-FI internet access works very well indeed, and offers a really fast connection. Part of the deal is a free taxi to and from a local restaurant of your choice! Breakfast is better than average for this price of hotel, too. Well worth seeking out.
