The grounds/golf course is really nice. For the premium price, the facilities look a little tired. It needs a serious upgrade. The two bedroom suites are not even a part of the resort. You have to drive out of the property to get there.
I liked the layout and it was clean with a comfortable bed. The parking at the timeshares, very small spaces especially when you are next to the bushes.

Check in went smoothly, the staff were friendly. They were able to accommodate an early check in and a late check out which was exactly what we needed for our stay for a friend's wedding. Loved the clean white smooth bed sheets. And the shower is amazing! The walls are thin. We woke up few times early in the morning. We could hear the couple talking, opening closing drawers, and opening plastic wraps. The refrigerator and a/c are a bit noisy... the little light from the a/c is also pretty bright too.
Great bees and nice rooms. The location was far away. The pool was closed but was advertised as open. I think it should be heated to provide more activities.

The property and grounds are beautiful Our room was tiny and uncomfortable. No place to sit except the bed or a stiff slipper chair. Somewhat dated decor. The door to the bathroom didn't open completely because it hit the toilet. Once in the bathroom almost impossible to turn around. Overall we were very disappointed. This was not worth $300+ per night.
Convenience to the city and the wineries
We had visited Silverado about 35 years ago. I don't think they changed the carpet or the decor in all those years. Everything looked old and shoddy. It definitely is not the luxury resort which we remembered, and as such is way overpriced. Their computer system must be very old as it took almost 30 minutes for us top check out while they were awaiting our breakfast bill. Although the staff was friendly, they did not seem well trained. Overall, it was a disappointment.
Alexis at the front desk was absolutely wonderful!!!!!! I had the best trip I've had in years. It was breathtaking and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend the silverado to anyone that wants to have a truly great time in napa! Nothing
This place needs to update its heat/cooling systems. The whole hotel has to be on either heat or cool in order to get your room where you want it temperature wise. I will not stay here again! The first room that we were given was like a dungeon, all slate floors and it was cold and dark, our second room had mold growth in the shower. Please read above. Room and breakfast. We were on vacation with our young children and while the facilities were lovely we could not enjoy them as pretty much the entire hotel allowed smoking exciting for one small outdoor seating area that actually included a sign 'designated for non smokers'. It really put us off returning to this hotel.
The breakfast and manager's reception were a good value. Location is very convenient to the historical downtown, where the majority of the restaurants are located. It was a $6 uber ride most nights. The location is also very close to the highway, making it very easy to get to the wineries. They didn't vacuum the floors! On the second day, we found popcorn next to furniture that we hadn't used the first day, and we hasn't eaten any popcorn. If you want a king-size bed, you have to book direct. And be aware - they say they offer rooms with two queen-size beds, but they're actually full-size beds.
The facility was beautiful, much more than I expected. The cook to order breakfast was a bonus. Room appeared clean at first glance, but I dropped something between the couch and needed to move it. The floor had a layer of dirt and there was food, clothing and all sorts of other stuff. The pull out bed and extra blanket in the closet were both soiled.
Location and included breakfast and happy hour. No individual AC units per room. Meaning the AC is the same temperature throughout the whole facility. Our room was a sauna and we had the worst sleep ever. We complained and were given a fan, but all that did was blow the hot air around.
Much nicer than any other Embassy Suites that we have stayed at. Sevice was great. We had booked two double beds and when they didn't have that available, they resolved it by giving us two rooms.
Great place to stay! Stayed in a suite and the room was clean and large. Enjoyed the breakfast as well. Facilities were great, loved the pools and swans! Happy hour left something to be desired, but I can't complain about free alcohol and snacks. Parking was limited also but was never an issue
Great customer service, beautiful courtyard and loved the complimentary breakfast. Ceiling was a little thin, could hear upstairs guests stomping around at 6am.

The free breakfast buffet was great. The managers happy hour every night was also very nice. The bed was decent The insulation between the floors is pretty poor. We could hear the people upstairs walking around. There was also some long-term stains on the towels that were in our room.
Terrible rooms, barely slapped together! And the front desk staff was rude when we asked if there has been a mistake in our room assignment. How embarrassing they put their guests in these rooms

Convenient location and nice grounds. Staff was very accommodating. Window screens were broken and sliding window didn't work. Beds were squeaky.

The good? Location. I arrived, and even though I had in black and white my reservation through Kayak, the hotel front desk could not find it. She then took my number down, but never bothered to grab the reservation code for follow up, which resulted in them calling me for the information. There was no offer to help or make right the situation. I just had to come back after they finished checking out the line behind me and wait for them to sort it out with Kayak or Orbitz or whatever vendor they said messed it up in the end. The rooms were just OK. I got a room over the front desk area, which meant that I heard quite a bit of noise. Thin walls/floors? I also found the plumbing to be atrociously loud. I used the toilet a few times while my partner slept and was afraid to flush because each time I did, the pipes went on for quite some time... Overall, I think the location did it justice, but otherwise, just so so.
Clean room and grounds. Convenient to have the breakfast available. The controls on the heat/AC unit were damaged and we were unable to know what it was set to. The room was very cold when we arrived so we unplugged the unit. The refrigerator made noise also and we unplugged that too.
Room was modern, clean and included breakfast. There was an amazing Italian restaurant next door, Il Posto The bed was very uncomfortable :( that would probably be our only complaint! And maybe if the offered water bottles, that would have been beneficial!
The location was nice, staff was pleasant, large breakfast selection. The bed was uncomfortable and squeezed with every move, we had to ask for an ice bin, and then our alarm clock had no cord/didn't work (very large paper weight) and when we asked for a replacement, no one ever came.
Location was convenient. The room we were assigned was a handicap room. Compared to our traveling companions our room was SUBSTANDARD. Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. Poorly organized room and just plain disappointing. We had an ajoining suite and the people were loud until after 1 am... For the price we paid for our rooms we expected something nicer... If Ivy is the premier for best western they need to do some upgrading.
Went with wheelchair. Despite an old hotel, everything looked new, although maintaining the old fashion look, and barrier-free. Right restaurants on the block, right behind is the river with paved ramps and walkways, perfect for strolling in a wheelchair. Breakfast room service comes standard with the stay. Best wheelchair vacation.
Room was clean and beautiful. Beds had feather beds, down comforter, down pillows. Beautiful marble bathroom had robes and and all amenities. Very generous with towels. Breakfast from wonderful bakery next door was included and they pour you a glass of wine on check-in. Rooms had coffee maker, and they deliver water and chocolate later in the day. Walking distance to all of downtown restaurants, etc. Free wifi & parking. It was just perfect. nothing! It couldn't have been a better experience
Great products in the bathroom! We asked for a toothbrush and it took them >30 min to bring it, and then only brought one when we asked for two.
The property could have been better kept. There were a few fix-it items in the rooms. The lounge chairs outside looked a little worn and dirty. It seemed like there had been a few parties that weekend but the clean up is key for all guests to enjoy. Those small touches could make all the difference.

The room was beautiful with nice decor. it was pretty specious with a king size bed and a pull out queen size sofa bed. The welcoming bottle of wine was great. The whole property was beautiful esp. with the winery facing hotel. Our only regret was no one came to clean up our room even when the "no disturb" sign was not hanging outside the door. One cannot turn on the shower while standing outside the bathtub. As a result, one has to go inside the tub, turn on the water and stay inside the tub to wait for the water to turn warm.

Spa services were great Hotel was very full and room was "upgraded" to a suite. Was not told before getting into room, suite was over Crush night club. Woken up at 12, 1, and 3 a.m. by drunk people yelling and leaving club. Despite calling front desk, noise continued. View from patio was of the building across the way and patio had a nest with dead bird inside. Not what I booked or expected. Had two previous stays here which were great. This was terrible and I never want to return there.
The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The location of our room was less than satisfactory. Much of the night their were noisey activities happening. We could hear the auction, music, dj, etc as if they were in our room with us.

The resort was beautiful. Lots to do on site. Nice cafe for breakfast/coffee. The resort did not honor the reservation for a two queen bed room as reserved.
I've stayed here for both business and leisure now and love the cleanliness and staff! Free valet is great with plenty of parking on-site. • 20 minute drive to Downtown Yountville • Food at the pool and Siena are expensive
Along with a Bible, there was a crucifix and a rosary in each room. I am Catholic and have never seen this before. It was amazing. Thank you.

Dyan and my eyebrow attendant (I am so sorry I cannot remember her name) did a wonderful job for me. I am in process of moving to sf (from fl) and am considering having them do my nails, etc on a regular basis. Cleanliness of the room and the deal I received via one of the booking agencies on Trip Advisor. Charge for Valet parking is too high, especially considering I always walked over to my car and did not have the guys 'go get it'.
My wife and I stayed one night for our anniversary at the Napa Valley Marriott. It left a lot to be desired. We have stayed at various other hotels in the Napa and this one did not even come close. For starters, the walls are paper thin (to the point where you can actually hear people in other rooms blowing their nose). While we were there, two holiday parties were going on. We called the front desk to complain about noise at 11:30pm and were told that they could not do anything since the parties both paid a considerable amount of money to host the events. This hotel puts large gatherings ahead of individual hotel guests and for this reason we will not be back.
Nothing Pool area and outdoor seating was completely under construction. No where to sit outside. Paid for a garden view room and looked at the parking lot. Very disappointed with stay. Complained to front desk and had small amount taken off our bill. Dirty and doors ro outside not secure.
It's fine. Napa Valley planners prohibit too many hotels being built, so you really don't have much choice and there's no good "deals" anywhere. So, this is on the Southern side of the valley, and acts as a "gateway" hotel. I can tell you it is over-priced, but I guess that is relative. It's just crazy that you can find much, much nicer hotels in The City for half the rate.
We were Marriott rewards members and received very thoughtful care throughout the visit. Large, comfortable, clean room Location is good, but car-dependent. Napa downtown is a 10 min drive.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, one of the best. Nothing. It was very nice, convenient to the local wineries.

Rooms are very clean but a bit tired - the basin in the bathroom was cracked and the extendable clothes line over thre bath was broken. The hallways are even more worn looking and dated but still comfortable place to stay.
Concierge was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff always took time to answer questions. Most unique part was the nightly wine tasting from local wineries. It was a great perk for your guests, and also a great opportunity for the local, boutique wineries to display their product. Win/Win/Win Traffic in area was difficult to manuever at times.

hotel itself is nice - rooms are great, location is great, free parking. check-in process and staff are not service-oriented at all. i was told the room would be ready (early) by noon, then when I arrived they said they didn't know when it would be ready, but they only guarantee by 4pm. At 4pm, they said that housekeeping was making up the room, but when I walked by the door, I could see that there was no one there. no apologies, no empathy. at 4:30pm, here was my exchange with them: check-in staff: they're working on your room right now me: 'no they're not, i just walked by the room and no one's there check-in staff: i'm not sure but they're working on your room right now me: i literally just walked by the room - there's no one working on it check-in staff: they're working on it right now, and we'll let you know as soon as its ready oh, and did i mention I have diamond status with Hyatt? Can't even imagine how they treat 'regular' customers.
The bed was uber comfy. Bathroom slider style door doesn't afford any privacy. Street rooms are very loud making it impossible to leave slider door open to enjoy the crisp Napa air. Inconvenient self parking, no real self park entrance to lobby for check in. Overall the condition of the room lacks consistent maintenance between guests, i.e. Unknown origin of wall stains in sleep room and bathroom. Will NOT return to this property for future stays in Wine Country.
The staff was very friendly and helpful in arranging a winery visit. Several of the "amenities" were closed or inaccessible during our stay. We were also placed in a room adjacent to the massive ac system which of course droned on during the whole of our stay, making it difficult to enjoy the balcony much less get a good night's sleep.
The rooms were spacious and I loved the pool area and the beauty of the facility. Being so close to the Silverado Trail was a bonus. It was pricier than it should have been.
Standard Westin property. Good location for Napa Valley visit. Property seemed to be trying just a little too hard to be a super-luxury resort, but then came up short in delivery. Had to ask multiple times for items promised earlier. Front desk lost a package we left for another guest.

I LOVED our stay at the Candle Light Inn. It is in a nice private location, close to Napa. The breakfast every morning was fantastic, the staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were delightful. Truly a wonderful experience for my wife and I celebrating our anniversary in Napa. There is honestly not to much to critique. I guess if I had to nit-pick I would say the pool had some dirt in it from the surrounding trees. However, it was not enough to keep us from swimming and we weren't there because of the pool anyways.
Decent room, most staff was very friendly Lost our reservation and ended up with a King + sofa sleeper instead of 2 queen beds. The staff at the restaurant seemed really rude.

I loved the bathroom, it has a very romatic setting. I also loved hearing the birds in the morning very peaceful. I would recommend that you offer a welcome wine and cheese infront of your fireplace area. That would have topped it off for me.
Bed was comfortable. They placed us in a room that was the first one by the lobby and restaurant. It was loud and noisy. The balcony overlooked right into the restaurant's outdoor seating, which was very disturbing. So the 2nd night, I requested a change. They placed in another room that smelled like hospital. I wouldn't stay here again with cost/reward not attractive.

The lobby area/bar was inviting, clean and comfortable. We had a glass of Napa wine by the fireplace and ordered appetizers. The back patio was inviting as well! Just a nice set up. People who had been in the fitness room working out, very sweaty, came straight to the breakfast room to eat without consideration for others. Gross!

The hotel is localized in a wonderfull place.Our room was at the river side,it was fantastic!! We didn't like the lack of room in the breakfast.

Hotel location is very good close to downtown riverfront and a quick walk to the oxbow market. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Nightly free wine tasting. They had smores kits available at the fire pit at no charge which was nice treat. I thought the shower was not hot enough and wish it was more high pressure

Convenient location (in town would be nicer, but for the price it's hard to argue with a few minute drive). Large, clean room, good bed, excellent shower, lots of convenient parking. Really, nothing to complain about. Would stay there again without hesitation.
For being a no-frills type of hotel, I was very impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable and they even have a pool. Considering most visits to Napa include busy days wine tasting and evenings spent trying new delicious restaurants, I don't find that I need much more from a hotel than what the Napa Winery Inn has to offer.
We arrive late and had missed the wine reception but the receptionist gave us 2 glasses of wine we could take up to the room. She then provided us with tons of information and recommendations. We took her recommendations and do not regret it one bit, for ashort stay in Napa I feel like we got the best of everything.
Room was a good size, clean, comfy bed. the staff, location, and value are excellent! VERY outdated decor, bathroom doors, and ac/heater unit. Upgrades would help lift the overall ambiance.
I'd say this is one rung above a motel, if that's what you're looking for and in Napa during high season this is your place. Staff was very friendly. Great location. Hair dryer was not attached to the wall (as it should have been, it was one of those hotel hair dryers) so it slipped all over the counter and overheated 3x while drying hair. Towels are old and ragged. Toilet seat was stained and old.
The comp wine and cheeses apon arrival and breakfast was good. Staff was really nice. Nothing was all great value for your money.
We were given a room on the bottom floor right outside the pool and hot tub area. The walls felt like they were paper thin, as we could hear every single noise from outside, as well as the rooms above us. This woke us up several times during the night, and staff were slow to respond. Overall it seemed very overpriced despite the location. Next time, we would be willing to spend a bit more money for more quality and a more comfortable stay.
Clean room and bathroom Front desk lady was a little rude. The furnishings, bathroom space, shower head were average in quality. I have stayed in a Best Western Plus before in Carmel, and it was a really great experience, furnishings were modern, bathroom was impressive. This one in Napa however, is not the "Plus" experience. It's essentially the same quality as a normal Best Western but at "Plus" prices. Also, the view out of our hotel was a wooden fence. We did have a patio, so we could sit outside and stare at the wooden fence. They offered "free" upgrades you could choose via text... but none of them were actually available. If no options are actually available, why offer them? Very strange, would probably not stay again.

I like the location of this property and the farmhouse design and vibe. The grounds are beautiful and the set up of cottages is really cool. Beds were quite comfy. Our cottage was poorly located next to the highway. Luckily I turned on the AC and the fan noise drowned most of it out. The cottage had several things that needed attention. Cracked tile, tons of scuffs on the walls, bathroom fixtures hadn't been wiped down and appeared dusty. Like a film of dust on the lotion dispenser is not ok. My husband and I asked to check in early and were not told that the room they had was a room with 2 full beds. We have two young kids and for 900$ a night, one king bed would have been nice. The staff at the check in were less than friendly or accommodating. I had to ask for water and they looked at me like that was a crazy request. A hotel of this caliber should offer water upon arrival especially on 90 degree days. Overall I was disappointed. I wanted so much more from this property and it just wasn't there. I likely won't return.
Beautiful, clean facilities in a quiet neighborhood that is close to - just a short walk, or even shorter cab ride- the nightlife of downtown. While our room was small, it had lovely, tall windows and an amazing Jacuzzi-style bathtub (complete with jets!). We were only there for one night and didn't get to take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but those looked great. The staff was personable, and not intrusive at all. We were greeted on arrival, and there were complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvres waiting in the dining room. Like everything in Napa, it's fairly expensive for comparable quality in other locales. But I prefer to stay in hotels with personality rather than do the resort thing, and the White House definitely has that.
Great location within walking distance of downtown Napa, the Wine Train, etc. Room furnishings are oddly cheap and modern, not in keeping with the era of the home. Hopefully the 2015 renovations will rectify this.
