The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating during my stay. They provided me with a corkscrew for my bottle of wine and silverware for my takeout. I like the large work area that is available in the Superior King room because I work when I travel. The hotel is easy access from the highway, but GPS does not recognize the location and may lead you in the wrong direction. My bathroom had an odd smell during my stay, and the shower/tub combo was not in as good condition as rooms from previous stays. The cable channels are not very good even though it is supposedly expanded. Wifi works well for laptop and small devices, but is inconsistent with my Wii, so I'm not always able to watch Netflix or Hulu. Guests are always very noisy at inappropriate hours. In the middle of the night, a woman was yelling to get into her room and she used profanity. Also, very early in the morning, someone was trying to rally people to get up. Not a good choice of restaurants to eat at because mainly fast food.
It was very nice quiet, clean, and it made the weekend perfect for a one night stay. Size of the bathroom, was a little noisy, and I felt they charged to much for what you got.
Room appeared at first glance to be neat and clean. Staff were cordial. My family and I arrived late at the motel after a long day and were welcomed by drunk fighting bikers in the parking lot. Left the next morning covered in bug bites. We do not recommend this place.
Great staff, they were helpful with any questions I had. Nice accommodations for the price, close to the colleges. Really close to the highway, so make sure you get the backside of the motel if you do not like car noise. I couldn't hear anything on the backside compared to the front facing the highway.
Megan and Joyce are amazing! Their customer service is excellent.
Quiet, despite being near highway. Clean. It isn't worth $80/night unless you are desperately tired. More like a $50/night hotel.
The rooms were recently remodeled and it showed. Our check in was fast and easy. Our room was clean and comfortable and a good value for the money. Our cats got to stay at no extra charge, too! I should have called the front desk, but the guests across the hall were having a party and people were in and out of that room until 5am. I told the front desk agent at checkout and she's sending me a voucher for a free nights stay. I thought that was very kind of her.
It is newly renovated I stayed for 4 nights No business support (printer etc) Odd room layout (desk chair hits the bed) Room faced the interstate (100') very loud This is a hotel/motel so 1st floor rooms are outside entry Got a good rate through booking.com - RedRoof rates were $20-30 higher per night
Nice rooms, close to the airport, A/C worked great! no comment here. I have no complaints.
Very clean and well maintained
Small, neat room, friendly staff, right off hwy, quite on other side, breakfast was voucher for McDonald's Noticed some dirt on the walls and doors but overall clean.
Clean, nice room. Good for price. No WiFi. Slow service at front desk. No roll out cots available. Loud noise due to highway.
Very clean. Staff was very friendly. I was beyond impressed. They also offered a fantastic breakfast. Pool could have been a little bigger
Friendly staff VERY THIN WALLS !!!!
A clean, well maintained hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast should include more fresh fruit. In-room A/C unit was very loud.
The staff were very kind, and the rooms so very nice. I've never been to a hotel that smelled do pristine.
The breakfast was fantastic! Rooms were very clean, and very comfy. Check out time was 3pm, would liked to have checked in when we got there at 1. It wasnt a big deal but would have been nice if we would have known the check in time ahead of time. Not enough towels on the pool area.
The staff were excellent rooms very clean access off the interstate was very convienent Did not get a good nights sleep due to the constant truck noise off the interstate.
Great staff Room could have been cleaner. The sheets on one bed had a hair and the shower had some mold.
Everything was clean and the staff was amazing! We got a free upgrade, which was very nice. My husband and I will be returning.
It was a perfect setting by the lake. People were kind. They charged me for incidentals which said that it would be on my credit card the same day and did not receive it. Also, a worker was interfering with an argument my girlfriend and i were having and basically not letting me speak to her.
I didn't not like how noisy the room was. You can hear people walking in the hallways. You can hear the people next to you, above you, and below you. Very loud for the price
View was awesome Windows could of been cleaned better
My "boyfriend" and I stayed here one night just so we could get away from everyone and have some privacy after a HORRENDOUSLY stressful week including the cancellation of our planned vacation to Washington D.C. This hotel was only about 45 minutes away from us. We personally know the Erie area well, but the hotel is super easy to get to if you're from out of town. The room was clean and smelled clean as soon as we walked in. It was nicely sized if you're looking to just relax for a night or two (room 329 is where we were; PERFECT view of a marina and State Street and honestly, the sun rise was really pretty too. It woke me up but the sun beaming on me made me smile). If I were staying more than a couple nights, I'd probably want a bigger room. The bathroom, again, nicely sized but the layout itself was weird with no room between the sink and shower. But whatever, not like you're going to be dancing all around the bathroom of a hotel, right? Had plenty of room to do whatever (straighten hair etc.) I'd ask for more towels, next time. Just a thought. The bed (mattress, linens, pillows) were clean and HEAVENLY. Neither of us wanted to get out of it in the morning (which wasn't really morning because check out isn't until noon! BONUS) Seriously, SUPER comfortable bed. I'll stay again just for the bed. Not even kidding. The bar downstairs was nice and convenient. Good selection of mixed drinks, wines, and beers plus the food from the restaurant looked delicious. A pretty large, top shelf martini was $10.... and they pour them STRONG. Hotel WAS under construction while we were there but did not affect our stay at all. Heard someone walk in the hallway once but they sounded like they'd had some fun at the bar lol. Didn't hear our neighbors, don't know if we even had any. This hotel is RIGHT on the water and it was windy as heck when we stayed BUT I can only imagine that when it's warm out (and not November) that it's BEAUTIFUL. OVERALL, I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again and without question, I recommend it to anyone and the "boyfriend" agrees. There have been a few times since where one or both of us has said "We need to go back to the Sheraton." It was just a nice little escape from the world. And it felt really great to exhale.
The Hotel was very nice and clean ... you cam use the sky bridge to go to the convention center.. No early morning free continental breakfast...its a paid extra breakfast...and paid new parer too.....$12.00 extra for parking
Super friendly staff! Super clean! We will be back!
Wonderful value. Wonder rooms and incredible breakfast buffet. ..... And my kids loved the room and pool too
Great breakfast included.
Friendly staff Very comfortable bed Good breakfast Noisy guests in the room above but not while we slept.
Our room was near the elevator. And Everytime someone would get on there was a loud ding noise.
New and clean.... Bathroom was small, sink and mirror was in outside the bathroom...
way too much money per night.
It was clean and convenient. I had booked on line and because health issues came up and we had to come home a day early, the front desk said there was no way to get our money back for the last night and there were no coupons for another nights stay at a later date.
Convenient and affordable My bed was gross. There was hair in the sheets and the comforter was stained with who knows what. It looked like all they did was make the bed after the previous people checked out and didn't bother cleaning the sheets and comforter.
Nice big room Very noisy. Beware. This hotel is across the street from a casino and lots of noisy/drunk people. Our room only had a shower and no tub so we couldn't bathe our kiddos
Nice hotel - clean, comfortable, friendly staff, quite, convenient.
Clean. Well maintained for the price. Very loud hotel! The walls appear quite thin as you can hear doors closing in the hallways, others walking on the above floors and staff cleaning the adjacent rooms in the AM. This hotel is not for light sleepers or those who want a quiet getaway.
Hotel was nice, clean, fee breakfast. Staff doesn't know what they are doing and not helpful. When we arrived at the hotel they said we were already checked in and had to put us in a different room then when we checked out they said we are already checked out. Didn't ask us how our stay was and they were kind of rude. I would government the staff at -10 Came back from the casino at 11:30 had to park at the store across the street cuz there was no parking. Staff didn't even care. Eggs were terrible. Waffles were good Don't think I would go back.
Have stayed at Baymont several times. Always clean. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Good value for the money. Parking lot. Should have been bigger.
Location Everything needs updated!
parking garage below nothing really.
Nothing the air conditioner was not working in the hotel. It's was over 90 outside and 85 or so inside. The bathroom barely had any lights and the ceiling was like caving in and looked like someone tried to cover it. The pics of the hotel weren't accurate. The hotel air conditioner wasn't working. The bathroom was disgusting. The pics on the website didn't accurately reflect the actual hotel. The parking garage was horrible. We didn't even stay there and I finally got my money refunded. We left after 20 minutes. We will never stay here again.
Location Heat/AC didn't work, huge hairball in shower drain, garbage from previous guest left over, spiders in the room, very outdated technology, coffee in the room was terrible, on site parking was very crowded.
Cold room hardly slept
Every thing was adequate. The room was huge and clean. The bed was super comfy. Almost an entire wall of windows gave a nice view. The staff I spoke to were all very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was decent. It was nice to have the parking lot below the hotel, as well. The room was a bit sparse, compared to what I usually get for the same price(no microwave, or fridge, a single desk chair). The water was slow to drain from the tub and built at my feet.
First, we checked in and there was already someone checked into the room. That was weird. Second, the carpet looked as if it had been set aflame in places. Poor lighting. Tvs from 1998. Furniture from the same period. There was a party patio on the floor below us which meant screaming drunks until 2am. Parking garage was less that ideal in terms of security. All in all a poor excuse for a hotel.
Location No air conditioner . Ask the front desk twice if there was anything that can be done . They said put the thermostat between 60 and 70 it works better that way !! What it was 90 degrees in the room very uncomfortable not acceptable
The front desk had event flyers. Free breakfast. -the room smelled rank -the room felt dirty -the TV was older than me (I'm 22). -breakfast was free, but did not taste good at all. Ended up going out to eat breakfast elsewhere. -our first set of room keys didn't work the first time when given -the whole place is just outdated and falling apart -I honestly considered sleeping in my car as an alternative -We ended up buying a cheap comforter set from the local Walmart because the room and the bed sheets smelled so bad (even after leaving the windows open for hours and using a decent amount of Febreeze) -the parking garage was dirty and wet and sketchy -we were on the 6th floor and there were no screens on the Windows. Someone could easily just fall or jump out.
very loud guests! No hot water and we weren't even compensated in any way. Pretty much told oh well by front desk staff.
Staff Very dirty and in need of updates. Lampshades had stains on them. Old tv, filthy behind furniture. Parking lot in need of security cameras.
Staff was friendly and the breakfast good. In the middle of the town and a parking garage! The room was dirty - spiderwebs, dusty behind the bed and the pillow inside was nasty!
Clean. Friendly staff.
Location, price Breakfast
Breakfast was good. Carpet was dirty and bathtub was clogged. Yuk
Very affordable/high value! Rooms are small but tidy. Towels were perfectly clean. Breakfast is very good; make-your-own waffle, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, bagels, yogurt, and cereal, juice, and coffee - all included! The "gym" is just a broken treadmill and a working elliptical. Very close to Mill Creek Marketplace and close to Presque Isle. Fitness Center is just a broken treadmill and a functional elliptical.
-great location. Right by a gas station -easy to find -pet friendly. Pet rates are affordable -hot breakfast was filling. They has eggs, sausage and waffles -friendly staff -non smoking hallway reeked of cigarettes -Tiny rooms. Hard to move around when you have a baby with you -rooms were musty -AC was blasting. If you turned it up to make the room warner then it got too hot -slow elevators. It's easier and quicker to take the stairs
So clean and fresh. The waterfront view is exceptional. The amentities were very nice. Restaurant food was good, service was kinda slow. The buffet was expensive for what was on offer. In other similar hotels, that kinda of breakfast was included in your stay. Also, the Bistro in the lobby only opened at 7am....too late for some folks who start their day much earlier than 7am.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had a small kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, small stove and dishwasher. We had condensation dripping from a vent on the ceiling in the bathroom, just in front of the toilet on the 1st night. The fitted sheet wouldn't stay on the mattress so we'd wake up in the middle of the night because we'd be brushing up against the bare mattress. The bed cover was weird as well. It was almost like a mattress pad and a coverlet that had a small foot wide fold over that the pad fit into. I'd never seen anything like it. The TV had a weird smear across the whole screen which was noticeable and was never cleaned during our 3 night stay. And like another guest noted, the left elevator was slow and it didn't seem like the door close button worked at all since you had to wait a very long time for the door to eventually close. We won't be choosing this hotel again on our next visit to Erie.
Was able to check-in earlier than 3pm. The room was a nice size. The hot tub was great! The complimentary hot breakfast was very good. Check-out at 12pm was very nice to have. The shutterfly free book coupon was a nice perk too. Full fridge/freezer, stove top, dishwasher & sink was great to have in the room. Room was listed as a "queen" suite, but we only had a "double/full" bed, not a queen. The pool water was too cold to be enjoyable. You had to get out right away. The left elevator was very slow. The door close button wouldn't work. It made noises when running - a little bit scary. Back sidewalk was not salted so there was a lot of ice on it. My mom is handicapped and it was very difficult for her to walk on the ice. We tried to help her, but we were afraid of falling ourselves. No ice machine available to guests.
Hotel is great and great Location staff are terrible Staff Andrea is very rude. Still waiting for a return call from the manager
Beautiful place.... I will stay here again. The complimentary breakfast wasn't stocked and tables were not cleaned.
We stayed here before a college visit to Edinboro University. The hotel was easy to get to and our room was ready when we arrived. The front desk was very friendly. It was very helpful that the Hampton provided breakfast - one of the reasons we choose them. The price was great and I would definitely stay here again. The hotel was close enough to the highway that you could hear trucks at night. I would recommend getting a room on opposite side of hotel from highway. In addition, our room window would not shut completely so we also had an issue with a "whistling" sound during the night. The size of the beds was listed as queen but they seemed a little smaller than that. Not sure if the bed size listed was accurate.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the freeway, shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The rooms are a little dated and room very noisy due to doors slamming and other guests talking on the hallway.
Clean, comfortable and convenient with friendly staff and wholesome breakfast N/A
Convenient to splush Lagoon water park. Easy to access to room.
New hotel, roomy & bed was very comfy. Will book again.
Clean, spacious, and modern room. Loved the full side refrigerator. We were iin a room right above the pool. Definitely avoid those rooms. It's loud in general. But, the person at the front desk allowed a group of kids in the pool @ 3:30 in the morning and they woke us up. The breakfast setup was weird. It was a crowded setup and made it difficult to get my breakfast ready.
Everything! This hotel is new and fabulous! It is incredibly clean and trendy, the staff has been wonderful. My husband and I didn't know the breakfast time and slept through. The girl at the desk Alexis did not hesitate to get us breakfast anyway, and she did it without us asking. We extended our stay by two days because we could not leave yet!! The beds are beyond comfy with the best sheets and pillows ever. We booked two queen beds and our sleep has been amazing. The suite kitchen is beautiful and the room is large. The tv is hd and big as well. The bathroom is so clean and the shower fits two. The hotel is green and lovely. And all appliances are stainless steel and great brands. This place is wonderful and we will DEF be back. Everything was wonderful.
We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the bed was comfortable. It was central so there was so much to do outside the hotel. The overall hotel room needed updated. There was paper pealing off corners and the overall look wasn't great. The spa tub shouldn't be considered two people and there was only two jets and many rules and instructions with the tub. There was a huge spider in the shower and the mini fridge wasn't very efficient. The pool was open until midnight but there were so many children there that it wasn't relaxing. If you are looking for a romantic weekend, this might not be the place. there was a water bottle sitting there that was $3.25 and if we drank it we would be charged. After all the money that was spent, you'd think they would give you a complimentary bottle of water. We simply went across the street to Walmart and bought a gallon of water for less. It wasn't anything special. Just a basic hotel. We won't be staying again for that price. We could have stayed somewhere much better for less money. Other than the friendly staff and how central it was, it wasn't worth it. It was a big disappointment.
For almost $200 per night I expected a comfortable bed. He beds and pillows were rock hard.
Location - close to main road and shopping Staff weren't overly friendly, only one out of many we ran into greeted us. Room was musty, water was like warm for shower. No breakfast included and paid $189 cad. Just overall we could have went to a budget motel for same experience. The Baymont down the road was incredible all around for a wonderful experience. Will try to go back there instead.
I had reservations for a room with 2 queen beds, but they gave me a room with 1 king bed. I asked to change to the correct room, but they still only put me in a room with 2 full size beds. They claimed they were queen beds, but they were not. Also, the refrigerator in the room did not work and I left a iPhone charger in the room and called a couple of hours after checkout, but they claimed not to find it. The room was definitely overpriced and the staff was not very helpful.
The rooms were NOT soundproof! We were awake all the first night due to the neighbour's music! He must have left it on all night .... we had to contact the front desk twice for them to deal with it. We didn't get to sleep until 5:30 when buddy got 2 wake up calls (we heard the phone conversations) and left. We requested a room change for the next evening. The pool wasn't very clean at all....couldn't see the bottom, very cloudy and the hot tub had gross foams full of dirt floating around. There is no breakfast included and online it did say $5 per person, but it is really $6 and not at all worth it. I will say that the front desk manager was amicable for changing our room, but there was no apology or attempt to do anything else to make it right with us. Very disappointing.
We stayed 2 nights and had issues with noise on the first night. We spoke to the front desk manager in the morning and he did try to make the 2nd night better by moving our room at our request. We stayed 2 nights. The first night was horrible! The walls are paper thin and we were kept awake all night by noise. The room on one side was playing music so loudly and the room on the other side tried to mask the noise by playing their own music loudly. We heard everything. We called the front desk twice and they had to come up and bang on the door at 4 am to get the music shut down. The occupant COULDNT HEAR THE KNOCKING the music was so loud. finally at 5 am, the hotel staff called the room...we heard the phone ringing. They called twice. There was NO soundproofing in this first room at all! We demanded a room change for the 2nd night at that room was much less noisey but not silent. And there was no breakfast included....it costs $6/person for the breakfast buffet. Pool was very cloudy and hot tub was very dirty!
I liked the location and the fantastic pool. The sheets and room were not clean. Also found a bug in my bed.
We've used this hotel the last few years to break up an 11 hour drive to Kentucky. It's inexpensive, convenient, and the staff have always been cordial. It could certainly use a facelift ...but you're not going to get that at these rates.
The shower had no hot water never going there again
Was easy to find right off interstate There was only cold water in the shower in the morning. Lobby staff gave no remedy or applology. Only offered to take $10 off my bill after I specifically asked. Could hear interstate traffic all night long. Breakfast was exclusively carbs. No protein, no dairy, no fruit.
Convenient to the highway. Staff very pleasant and easy check in and check out. The floors felt tacky and the bathroom was not as expected. You would figure that they would have toilets that would accommodate people that have had hip replacements. The shower, shower curtain and walls had mold . Plus shower had hair in the tub..
The price was good. Rooms were clean and neat. Pool available for folks who wished to use it(in season only. They drained it part way through our stay). The only item I didn't like was the breakfast. Not at all balanced. danish and fruit are not a breakfast for me. Its all sugar and carbs with no other nutrients. So we ate breakfast out. But that was the only negative.
Location Room smelled funky water pressure was bad as was the water temperature beds were hard
Complimentary breakfast and hot beverages throughout the day. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the staff did not allow us to use a microwave and we were forced to eat our leftovers cold.
I would have liked to have more TV options. There was not a lot to watch such as movies to buy etc.
Everything was good.
clean room with great shower facilities. pool was clean and not too much chlorine to burn eyes. hot breakfast was good with eggs, both scrambled and boiled, along with bacon and other standard continental fare. hotel was quiet as sat back off the main road in back of a strip mall area. Had no problems or complaints.
The staff was extremely helpful, competent and eager to help. That was a huge plus and pretty much the only redeeming quality about this hotel. This particular hotel is extremely old and dated. You can tell by the wear and tear that there have been millions through this place. Walls were dirty, carpet fading, terrible decor, etc. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. It was gross. I like things to feel clean and this hotel did not feel clean.
This is the third time we've stayed in the Residence Inn in order to go to Splash Lagoon. The rooms are very suitable for our family with a one bedroom arrangement. Our room had a fireplace, whirlpool, kitchen area, and two tvs. Our Splash Lagoon passes were ready when we arrived at 12:00 and the room was ready by 4:00. It is very conveniently attached to Splash Lagoon, so you do not have to walk outside to get there. You can wear your swimsuits and flip-flops, even in the dead of winter. If you get a locker near the tree-tops area, you can easily use the back hallway to return to the hotel. We really like having suites that are this close to the water park, so we'll definitely stay here again when we return. None of these things are deal-breakers, but are good to know for future travelers: The breakfast area is a bit crowded during busy times. If you were a business traveler, I would probably try to avoid the hotel when schools are on winter break as it is packed with families. Late checkout was available, but it was $59 to check out at 4 PM instead of 11 AM. That was too pricey for us. The single elevator is really slow, even though there are only three floors. The side door (under the bridge) did not unlock with my room key, so I had to walk around through the cold rain to the front door. Also, the two front doors were not automatic, making it hard to bring a luggage cart inside. Oh, and one of the luggage carts had a bum wheel making it really hard to push. Apparently, the are waiting on parts to fix it.
Proximity to highway Soap from a previous guess was left in the shower, found upon my arrival. Lighting in rear parking lot was dark during night hours. Hallways smelled like airplane glue throughout the building, though it did not permeate into room it was still annoying. Breakfast consisted of an egg creation that has left me imagining what it was supposed to have been. Even Cracker Barrel food is better and that is not saying much. Room was situated next to an AC unit at ground level which kicked on and off throughout the night interrupting sleep. Building was older and price was too high given all the newer hotels in this area. I would not stay again.
very nice pool indoor and the water park was attached to the building and it was very close to everything when we checked in they asked for a card and before i handed it to him i asked if anything was going to be charged to it due to the fact it had our vacation money on it he told me no so i gave it to him, the next day our card was charged $350 dollars needless to say i was pissed i went down to ask about it and the lady told me it was normal and it was a incidental fee that they hold till we checked out which was fine but i was mad because the other guy had told me that it wouldn't be charged she told me tough luck and that there was nothing they could do, needless to say it will be the last time i ever stay in any Marriott hotels. also the queen size bed (even tho we ordered a king size) felt like i was laying on a floor not in a bed i ended up sleeping on the sofa bed because it was more comfortable
Spacious room with all amenities. Very clean and comfortable for a family. Check in was so late in the day. We arrived in the AM for an event and we waited until early evening to check in. Check out time was early too. I understand you need time to clean rooms but for the price it isn't worth not even a 24hr stay.
