Absolute luxury. Fabulous bathroom and suite. Nothing negative about this gorgeous place.
1 night stay before heading to Beijing. Great facility and restaurant. The hardest bed on which I have ever slept. Very uncomfortable. Like laying on a flat board.
A beautiful, luxurious room.
big room a bit old fashined needs an uplift. there are better hotels and prices
The staff were all very friendly I would like more vegetarian food
a beautiful hotel in a great neighborhood with excellent staff what makes it great makes it difficult. It was beautiful with ,magnificent grounds, but it was remote from the city - and yet that too made it very special
I have stayed here many times, and have used it as my base hotel in China. My trips have been long in China, usually a minimum of 21 days and this is a wonderful place to stay. There are many places to walk to from here and it is a very safe place to walk around. Also a park just about three minute walk from the hotel. I have always had a great experience here, and again, you will not be disappointed, and believe me, in China (which i love) there are many places (hotels) that will surprise you, but never this one. Can also use the ATM there to take out RMB, or they will exchange currency at the counter
The hotel name is not Jin Jiang Rainbow but in Chinese Hongqiao Binguan. It created some confusion with the taxi driver
Hotel near Chang Ning area east to access by taxi. Clean and confirtable & fair price. No restaurant or shopping area near hotel at least by walk. I have spend 30 minutes walk around hotel to have chinese dinner. Two restaurant I could find very near hotel were Japanese, but I did not want to have Japanese dinner at Shanghai.
English speaking people Internet is not free
Its good alternative to stay.
fast check in and fast check out
It is well located, at the Embassy Area: western restaurants near, and great malls. The hotel charged me three (3) times the check on my credit card. I am still waiting to the return.
The Jin Jiang Rainbow Hotel was very well located for my business in Shanghai. The staff did a very good job in meeting my travel needs, and language was not a barrier. I would stay at the Rainbow Hotel again in Shanghai.
This hotel was situated very well - which means close to my bussiness partners but also ok for sighseeing purposes
very good location from subway station. comfortable bed, clean room. The breakfast at 26 floor is excellent with abundance selection of food. All amenities are good. I had no problems getting/exchanging lifts to go up my room and down to the mall, a very convenient location, just 5 stops subway line 4 from Hongqiao airport, took me about 25 minutes to get there.
The hotel offers good rates, good design and a convenient location. I smiled every morning when I looked at the stylish Reception with Staff with a big window towards (25th floor). Though the hotel is new, there were some issue with the room I was in (window not properly closeable) - however not with other rooms when I stayed a second time.
The Crowne Plaza staff is excellent - very attentive and friendly. Check in and check out were efficient. The rooms were clean although we were assigned a room in the old tower. The photos in booking.com were of the new tower so that can be misleading. The location is in the middle of the city but is far away from the Bund which is of course what we wanted to see. It is not close to sites that tourists like us wanted to visit. So I would say that it is a good business hotel.
Excellent room. Large and very comfortable bed with good bathroom facility. Sufficient TV entertainment. Breakfast too expensive and Charlie's Bar too "Far Eastern" tacky, not very comfortable for a woman traveller and Asian colleague.
Hotel is clean and comfortable, staff is corteous
Excellent breakfast buffet, hotel provides a good price / quality ratio, i would consider booking it on future trips to shanghai nothing in particular
SPA facilities. Bar closes too early 10:00PM
Hotel is clean Hotel is clean but the main problem is that few people speak english. I tis the first time I see so few people speaking english in this hotel category. Breakfast choice is poor and staff dont speak english (20 mn to get coffee with milk). Concierge was not able to inform us about the hot spots in Shanghai. Rates for transportation are expensive (800RMB) for domestic airport transportation. If you go downstairs after midnight, you have good chance to see girls proposed in room massages and other sex facilities, which is surprising
location good in Hongqiao. I took 2 rooms plus a living room, big space for us with 2 children. Everything is fine. Very easy to have a taxi, good services. Good area to walk. And, the prices for sure is super good for what you get in Shanghai. I will stay again in this hotel. No
easy location to Hong Qiao airport not really
The hotel is very nice and the buffet meals are very good and the price is alright.I definetely recomend it.
Spectacular architecture on the inside. The rooms are good. Ten minute walk to one of the main centres of town. Many restaurants in the area. The management of this hotel is not the group's best. To get a coffee in the morning breakfast takes on average 25 minutes. One day they had even forgot to order any bacon; ok in a 2 star hotel! On one day the food available for Chinese guests at breakfast was negligible, other days good. At 6 30 am there was no taxi.
We had to carry the luggages and bags on our own on checking in and out while the bell boys looked on, like what the hell you bring luggages here. Being a service apartment with kitchenette we were surprised that no utensils were available, had to get room service for plates and cutleries.
Room was very comfortable and the breakfast good. The free parking was a benefit and convenient.
Nice room and courteous staff Checking out took much longer than I expected as there were insufficient staff at the counter.
Gleaming interiors, eye-catching design, large spacious rooms, comfortable bed (believe me, it's not to be taken for granted in China), central location (less than 5 metro stops from Nanjing Street and People's Park), free broadband in the rooms. Very presitgious neighbourhood. Breakfast at Nikko was almost thrice the price at the nearby Starbucks; so, save your money even though the breakfast spread is large. Not much of a view from the city side or the garden side. The Garden view is not worth paying extra for; I have seen far better Chinese/Japanese gardens.
Room nice and comfortable. Pool, gym and spa are fabulous, not to be missed! Breakfast included was just right. Although not completely central, the location was not bad and allowed easy transport around the city. Not all the staff was as helpful as expected in a 5 star hotel. Breakfast food choices were not that wide. Entrance to the hotel is a bit unfriendly for people walking into it.
Had a very nice stay at the Nikko Hotel Shanghai. Due to an early arrival (9AM), my reserved room was not yet ready, upon which I got upgraded to an Executive Suite. Very nice room and very nice gesture. All in all, the Nikko Hotel is a very new hotel, with good rooms and a very nice breakfast selection. Booking.com rate was 1000 rmb + 15%tax, including breakfast, which was a very good rate vs walk in. Jiansu Metro station (line 2) is about 10 minutes walking (down Yan An road, and up Jiansu street). Hotel had problems / no experience processing a Visa credit card with chip (was obliged to withdraw and pay in cash). Temperature of airconditioning was set very low / cold. Yan An road (elevated highway)is not really inviting to go for a walk.
Enjoyed the stay in a comfortable room, especially the bathroom. Using wire to connect to the internet.
the location. a few minutes to under ground station. price if some body needs hotel facilities like restaurants, pool, ... it's not good.
Located near the metro station. Only 3-4 stops to the city cener . Both airports are on the swame green metro line. Extremely dirty. all the holel smells not fresh, even clean towels.
