Walk ability around campus to attend commencement, sleek yet warm. No complementary earplugs, People's conversations passing by would echo down hallway throughout the night.
Efficient, nicely appointed rooms, friendly people. Nothing
Centrally located, nice & clean Currently the construction in town is a bit challenging.
The location was excellent. Easy to get around Austin from the location and very relaxing with good service and staff. The fee for parking was the only thing that I exerienced at the hotel that I did not like. Fourteen dollars per day was excessive in my opinion.
Location and friendliness of staff Very pricey.
the cleaniness of the hotel and the wonderful resturant the staff was very friendly!!but the young men at the front door to service you on arrival were courteous and very professional no
This was my first time to Austin and it was amazing! Hotel was very nice and clean, the staff were very helpful with everything! I arrived late in the evening and loved that I got an email from the Hotel Concierge to confirm my arrival!
The decor in the lobby and lounge areas is very nice -- stylish and modern, with a Texas accent. The rooms are also stylish and comfortable.
the staff were very helpful and polite, the property is beautiful.
Great value for the money in terms of the room, service, amenities, and especially the location. We don't stay anywhere else when we come to Austin.
VERY comfortable bed and pillows! The staff was very nice and professional. I was visiting my daughter who lives on campus so it was great to be so close.
Great location. Only one attendant on duty while checking in and checking out. We checked in early and checked out early and both times we had to wait in line. Great value. Please continue.
Filthy hotel, rude staff
Not to far from 6th Street. Only took about 5 mins with uber to get there. The place was EXTREMELY old!!!! The location of the hotel is horrible! It looks like a very unsafe neighborhood. I paid $103 to stay for the night, but it was so bad my friends and I opted to just drive back home.
air conditioning worked shabby
It was a place to rest my head after standing for 8 hours a day at the SxSw expo and the Uber ride from the hotel to the downtime was less than $10 in the morning. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean. It's by no means a luxury hotel. The rooms are outdated and the beds are springy. My room faced the interstate, so it was very loud.
Would not refund me after I explained my predicament several days prior to check in date
Wasn't worth the $90 a night. Only one TV channel worked, the curtains had many gross stains on them. When we entered the room it was about 90 degrees and took forever to get to cool down and the cold water didn't work in the shower. I've stayed at many hotel for less and they were MUCH nicer
Whether you are staying one night or one month, Drifter Jacks is the most affordable and comfortable place you can stay! Perfect for solo travelers and groups, the location is close enough to attractions and sits right on a major bus route. I stayed for a week and was comfortable the entire trip. Ethan and Jaime were especially wonderful hosts, however the entire staff was friendly and courteous. Coffee and tea were available 24 hours and breakfast was available every morning which was a huge bonus, especially since the nightly rate was so low! Can't wait to stay again, I will be recommending Drifter Jack's to all my friends traveling to Austin!
