Coffee machine in room but no ceramic coffee cups provided to use it. Told per IHG platinum member could not use club room with free breakfast because rewarded with bonus points.
Nice staff. Some rooms can be quite an extended walk from the elevators.
View Could not change reservation when plans changed. Awful
Room service and housekeeping had the best customer service at of whole hotel! It looks like a hospital. No one greets you or shows that they want to be of service. I was looking forward to a bath after long conference and when turning on the water a huge clump of hair came out of drain and killed it for me.
I didn't get the room I reserved, I paid for ocean view room and I got a street view room
We had a very nice stay and will return in the future. Our son and family were also there and we all found the hotel to be helpful and attentive to our needs. The location is great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. 5 stars. We also did NOT like the parking fees, but with that the only negative it's not such a big deal.
Liked the room. View was beautiful. Didn't like paying for parking and getting a 100 fee that they say is mandatory after paying 170 for a room that was very pricy,
I loved the all around look and feel of the hotel. It was clean, the staff was hospitable, and the room was amazing. Parking in the parking garage was an additional $125 for the 5 nights I stayed and was not disclosed when booking the hotel.
House keeping staff are friendly and quick at preparing the room. Check in staff was friendly and it was a quick process. Clean room with a lot of space and giant mirror, balcony and fridge. The fitness center is a small room with mainly cardio machines. Please add some free weights. The elevators, vending machine and ice are located in just one area of the hotel; my room was literally 88 rooms away from them. The bathroom next door had a pipe issue that would make a huge noise every time the guest was using it and woke me up several times at night and in the morning. At check out, the front desk lady was in a hurry and unfriendly (I didn't catch her name but she was red headed with eyeglasses).
We love this hotel and this was our second stay in 4 years. We love everything about it and the staff is exceptionally friendly and wonderful. The only complaint was this was booked through Kayak and we booked a "Premier Oceanfront Room King Bed". It was confirmed and stated on our confirmation in three different places. Upon arrival, they had us booked in a double bed oceanfront room (not premier which is the 2nd and 3rd floors and not a king bed) and they were adamant that was what Kayak booked us in. When we showed them the printed confirmation from Kayak they gave us the Premier Oceanfront King on 2nd Floor. Anyone booking through Kayak should absolutely call the hotel to confirm what they show you are booked in prior to arrival as obviously there are some issues there when booking through a third party like Kayak.
The hotel looked as though it had been remodeled fairly recently. It was well designed and had a very cozy great room/lobby with a fireplace and a bar. The rooms were large, clean and very nice. We had an amazing ocean view and the front desk upgraded us for free. The restaurant across the parking lot is part of the hotel and was delicious. It was a great place to spend our 6 year anniversary.
Location Parking and amenities fee
The room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Very nice staff. Room was very close to outside pool and jacuzzi and had to listen to people in the jacuzzi talking until midnight.
Valet attendants were great Front desk employess very very very careless and non hospitable
Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and the views are just breath taking on ocean side Marina side room by parking lot on 1st floor. They need to build that up with plants for privacy. People walking by looking in, noicey from people and cars. We had the staff move us to another room or we were leaving. They almost lost a week long customer when all it would take are some trees, hedges and plants for privacy. You can't see the marina anyways from the 1st floor
clean & comfortable some of the lights didnt work, like the vanity mirror in the bathroom. the tv wasnt in HD..wifi also scared me cuss it might charge $11.99 ice machine on our floor was broken as well.
The lobby and seating area are lovely and a nice place for a quick breakfast or glass of wine in the evening. The room categories are misleading: the hotel is behind a breaker wall and therefore on a canal not oceanfront.
Stayed here at the tail end of our honeymoon. Beautiful in-room finishes, modern yet charming. Ocean view rooms with views of a colony of cute barking sea lions, complete with sailboats passing by! Spectacular. Would stay again.
Had to pay extra for parking, breakfast and Internet. Internet starting dropping every 20 mins one day even after paying. Lost my dry cleaning for three days. The phone did not work and I had to tell the front desk three to four times before it was fixed. The gym is tiny. For this price surely these should not be issues.
Rooms, bathrooms and hotel need to be remodeled.
We loved the very cosy 'livingroom' bar with fireplace and live music....and Baleen, the restaurant and bar, also with live music was very nice!
Quiet, decent breakfast, and near a number of good restaurants. Gym is limited - few machines, no free weights.
It was 10-15 mins from the beach waterfront. The customer service was friendly. The room we stayed in had no phone signal connection and it was on the first floor. The rooms were outside of the main building and the lower level is where we had no signal and had to step around to get a connection
The breakfast was really nice, one of the best continental breakfasts I've had at a hotel - everything you could possibly want including hot dishes that tasted freshly made. Always very clean and breakfast room staff were very polite. The pool area was nice, unfortunately it was just too cold when we were there to enjoy it. Located close to the beach and a number of nearby restaurants and other shopping. The room we were in was supposedly a Queen with a sofa bed, but it was more like a Full with a sofa bed. My 3-year old didn't care about the comfort of the sofa bed, but an older kid might have been pretty uncomfortable on the thin mattress. Also, we had a few ants in the bathroom - might be a hard thing to control with 1st floor rooms in a warm climate?
I was very impressed with this hotel. I rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed that I thought about writing one while I was still there! The pool was nice and clean and I wished that I'd had more time to enjoy it. So too was the spa. The breakfast was a complete breakfast that I could last all day on! Everything in the room was also nice, clean, and comfortable, and there was so much more I didn't get to take advantage of. Also it is in walking distance to the beach. The business center was well equipped and in good working order. The staff was nice and friendly.
Location to beach and restaurants. Also great staff and very clean and comfortable rooms !
This hotel is located centrally to shopping , dining, and the beach. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quite nicely appointed. The pool is especially nice. The only thing I can even think of that could have been improved on is that the ice maker is on the 1st floor. That's a little inconvenient if you're trekking all the way from the far end of the 3rd floor.
It was convenient to where I was working. The room was dark and the lighting poor. I had a view out of my window of a wall. It was clean enough to my liking. No one bothered to ask how my stay was when I left. Parking was
Rooms are huge and in great shape. Refrigerator and microwave in each room. Good breakfast and the hotel is being updated / refreshed.
The BWP was extremely clean and felt comfortable. I enjoyed the layout of the room and the furnishings. The breakfast that was included was worth it. Not to mention the front desk was friendly and helpful. The pool was so small and the weight room wasn't very big at all. But this wasn't a big deal at all.
Location, price, breakfast, cleanliness, staff. Nothing
Not much The price of almost 200/night got me motel 6 like accommodations.
The spaciousness of the rooms, full kitchen for families, very comfortable and modern place to stay. We will definitely return. They were a little unprepared for the rush before breakfast ends at 9, but they adjusted well to the demand. The guests who. And late needed to be patient.
Very clean, large room. Perfectly fit our needs as it was close to the beach and very accommodating!
Hotel Erwin is perfectly located on Venice beach, the staff is excellent, restaurant serves excellent breakfasts, nothing to complain about.
We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite! The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!
We loved the new and greatly designed rooms, as well as the young atmosphere of the hotel. The rooftop bar will take off - it is a great place. We will be back! The staff needs some more time together to make everything run smoothly. But they were always very nice and friendly - thanks for a great time with you!
Was given great upgrade; rooftop is fantastic Absolutely everything was great!
The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
Miguel was fabulous and helped us in many ways, he went above and beyond. The entire staff was friendly and helpful The music on the roof did keep us up, and the ear plugs cost money
The hotel is realy gret. Great staff, wonderful instalations..... So I really could live there. The price and the cost to park, once the garage is inside the building of the hotel.
The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.
It was close and convenient to my son who lives in Venice. Stayed there in Dec. in the newer rooms on the top floor which was much nicer than the room I had this time. Also, I think the 6th. floor room was about the same price as the room where I was this time.(5th floor) Yes, I opened the sliding door during the night for some fresh air. It was difficult to sleep because of the noise(homeless sleeping in the alley) that my room overlooked.
the suite was awesome! The rooftop bar was great. Blankets were clutch. Friendly staff!
Great location, very new, and very nice staff! Perfect place in Venice.
We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
the decor was beach like and modern, the building is very new. The room was fantastic and service was great. They have a shuttle that can take you anywhere within 2 mile radius. Our driver Eddie, went above and beyond to provide us good service.
We were woken up in the middle of the night by a drunk pounding and kicking a door for 35 min before calling for security. There were stains on our white linens and condoms under the chair which my 10 year old found. Very disappointed.
Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach. Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits. Beds were super comfortable. $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
The remodel is first class. The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel. No complaints.
My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina. $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
We had the big unit, which had a living rm, bedrm with 2 beds, and kitchen. Very affordable, CLEAN, friendly staff and across the street from starbucks. The beds were a little hard, but that is personal preference.
Proximity to airport, beach areas, quiet hotel, not a high end but clean, comfortable, friendly staff, excellent value Parking is in short supply, but very manageable. Area feels safe to park on the street.
The price was pretty great for how close it was to the beach. It was in a very nice part of California. The room was very clean and up to date. It was about 5 to 10 minutes away from the beach and very close to a lot of shops and stores. The staff was great also, the main guy when you check in offered to move our car Tuesday morning because of the street cleaning, that way he didn't have to wake you up at 6 in the morning. The only thing slightly wrong was the bed was uncomfortable, but definitely not bad enough for me to not come back.
The price is an amazing bargain! To get the same quality in the area, you can expect twice and three times the rate. Charming management, excellent maintenance, and location on Artesia with great places to eat for all budgets. Directly across from a Starbuck's! LAX-bound buses stop down the street. Very easy to get signed in and leave quickly.. a boon to the busy traveler.
Room was clean tastefully decorated, nothing fancy but all the basics, and well maintained, people friendly, what local motels used to be, will, stay again Coffee pot would be nice but does add significant cost in daily operation, Starbucks across the street, opens early, towels could be upgraded, but what is there is fresh, clean and acceptable,
Good location close to everything Beds were horrible so hard and the blankets were more like curtains. Loud construction and noisey neighbors
Clean, newly remodeled, great price, close to the beach Tight parking
I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T
the location room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room. time it took to get the food valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending. I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel. Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Marina Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
I like the avalibiliy of the staff For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
Service Rooms not ready for check in
Parking fee not included in stay
Room was nice and clean Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Terrible squeaky bed, noisy a/c, terrible traffic noise and to top it off the folks next door were going at it all night and we could hear it. The whole experience
Easy access to the Redondo pier and beach, clean rooms and great value for the location
The waffle iron at breakfast is simply amazing. The location is quite good: easy to reach with public transportation. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. Jacuzzi/hot tub closed. No elevator to the second floor: I have a disability, but a very nice gentleman offered to carry my suitcase up the flight of stairs. Toaster a breakfast is slow and toasts only one side of bread.
Nothing except staff Noisy, no elevator, sink didn't drain, cluttered courtyard area, gap in front door almost half an inch. There are much better values elsewhere in area, I just happened to visit this time during spring break, and nothing else was available
The shower did not work in the room. The bed was very squeaky. The price was right but The shower not working was a problem.
this was by far the best priced all inclusive, beachfront stay you could ask for.. I look forward to my next stay at the Ramada limited Redondo beach hotel
this hotel was clean, with easy ample parking and standard continental breakfast fare. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed huge. All of the pillows were of the firm variety. I would prefer the option of a softer option in all those pillows on the bed!
4 blocks to the beach. Hardwood floors in rooms. Comfy beds .staff was great. Easy check in Bathroom could be bleached. Little red blanket thingy on bed was nasty. Had chunks of food and maybe a booger... ick. People in the room next door were loud. I returned the favor at 4am when i had to get up for work.
Bed was very comfortable and room size was large with a window which i liked very much. I had to wait after check in time because my room wasnt cleaned yet and even after waiting it still wasnt very clean. Additionally, in the morning there was a bedbug on the top sheet. I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the room.
the place is undergoing a big renovation. this is interesting, since it was not a bad place before. new owner seems very motivated to make sure the stay was comfortable. THE PLACE IS UNDERGOING A MAJOR RENOVATION. our room had a pretty sharp edge on the floor going into the bathroom. i was afraid one of us would catch our foot on it. i would think a safety inspector would have something to say about that !
Great place to stay. Nice rooms, recently refurbished and very clean. Ideal location within a short walk of the Redondo Pier and beach. Very friendly and competent staff. When I mistakenly made and guaranteed my reservation for the wrong day, the manager, Dee, cancelled the no-show charge, and moved my reservation to the correct day.
Nothing except the location The staff doesn't care. The hotel stinks. No elevator No ID check when requesting new key No enough parking No elevators
it was clean, no carpet. I checked the mattress and it was clean and wrapped in bed-bug preventative cover. PCH is a noisy road.
The one person helping was very professional. The room was clean. The unique color scheme of orange and brown was interesting to say the least, and for me added to its charm. Close enough to the pier and restaurants to walk. Only one person available to help.
the location of this hotel is very good. Two bigs freeway around. we was on the room 103 and every night above us around 1H00 in the morning we heard high hells and bed noise....so it was strange and look likes a call girl..very bad.
Nice room, good location to visit L.A. and have fun on the beach Breakfast area is too small
It met my needs. The toilet didn't work well and there was no shampoo or conditioner. I did find some lotion that was previously used a couple of times.
very clean no problems
Easy location to the beach Good service Great price
Can't beat the price, especially when it's three blocks away from the beach. Staff was friendly and let us check in early and made sure my brother and sister-in-law got a room right next to us. Overall, clean and a nice place to stay. Some towels had some spots on them. No fan in bathroom
its cheap and convinient to beach access room is small but you get what you pay for:)
The Thai restaurant across the parking lot was awesome. The fridge and microwave were great features. Parking was free and adequate. Pricey. Internet connection was flaky and slow at best. Very thin walls, so I got blasted by TVs and conversations from both sides. Housekeeping kept turning the AC off so I returned from work to a sauna since it was in the high 90s while I was there.

They bought an old garden apt complex and opened it as Marriott too soon. This is not yet Marriot. Not even close.
Good breakfast! Quiet location. Laundry not available. The clubhouse was being remodeled. Should be done mid-February.
We have stayed there many times before. It was being totally being rentravated. Noise all the time. Not at all like ad presented it.

The room was new and up to date. There was one trash can in the room and it took me a while to find it. Their were no cups in the bathroom.
Breakfast, main guest house Older than photos show, Room furniture is old and worn, AC didn't work in the first room we were put in, it sounded like the persons above us were going to fall thru the roof because of a weak floor

Rooms where nice, staff was amazing Construction ongoing, room smelled like cigarettes, the layout of the room was bad.. there was a sliding door with a couch in front of it

They have a great buffet breakfast and good location Small bathroom, had construction going
