The monkeys! Too expensive for the quality of the room, the bathroom smells like mold,
the best thing in champlung that it located inside monkey forest and i scarde my wife :))))) chik chok and open bathroom .
I liked the complimentary water that was provided every day during my stay, and the fact that the hotel was close to the Monkey Forest The staff were trying to be helpful, but there were some communication problems. For example, I noticed there weren't any beach towels availalbe at the poolside, so I asked if they could bring some more. One person thought I was asking if I could use the pool. I went to someone else. He said hed bring me the towels. Still no towels 20 min. after that. I had to talk to two more people to get it. Things like this seem to happen quite often.
the outside of the fotel are outstanding, beatiful swimming pools immersed in a tropical garden, very sufggestive old feature putside while the inside has been recentely renovated the breakfast wasn't great, a tiny buffet area with massive ques, could be organized better. No windows or aerator in the bathroom = bad smell, plus the shower drain didn't work properly and the lack of a courtain meant that the whole bathroom was soon a pond
monkeys (hotel is located next to the Monkey park). hotel pool is sizeable. poor value for money. unclean rooms, aged hotel, slow service - clueles staff.
The hotel room was comfortable, cool and quiet. The hotel's location is excellent for walking to the Monkey Forest, watching visiting macques from the breakfast table, and visiting the shops along the street up to the center of Ubud. The many fine resturants in Ubud are a bonus. Some of the other guest reviews were a bit negative, but we had an entirely positive experience. Ubud itself is a great central location for Bali tours. There were some stacks of unsightly construction materials from renovation work, nothing significant. No noise, no machinery, no trouble. Some guilt in the heart from watching women carry concrete blocks on their heads while we lounged in the beautiful pool, cooling off after a day's sightseeing. We solved that by moving to the other pool where the workers were out of sight.
The location. The room could do with a little more lights, its too dim.
I liked the hotel grounds, especially the pool and the restaurant where you could watch the monkeys trying to steal your breakfast! The location was excellent also, right in the heart of Ubud, but yet still quiet and secluded in the hotel grounds. The bathroom was not very attractive, and appeared dirty.
The situation was good. The room cleanliness was not up to the standard of a Deluxe room. The staff were not helpful.
