No pool due to renovations...not mentioned when reservations were made...not explained when checked in...
You can get to Copley Place and the Pru without going outside so weather is not an issue. Lots of restaurants nearby including Eataly. Symphony Hall is walkable. You can also walk down Newbury Street to the Public Garden. Hotel is small enough that you're not overwhelmed by people everywhere like the Marriott nearby. Parking is expensive! No coffee/tea in lobby - just in room.
What you would expect from a Westin. Clean, fairly modern rooms, big TV, complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea. It's connect by skywalks to other malls so you can get to many places without even hitting the street. Had little interaction with the staff but they were all courteous and efficient.
The service was great. The staff caters to your every need. The room was very comfortable and provided a nice view of the city.
Didn't like how the website advertises a pool and spa but they have neither.
Location Staff was inattentive and seemed bored. I arranged for a crib for my room for my son and upon arrival, it was not in the room which was hugely inconvenient. I had to call to have it brought up. Also, wifi should be free in this hotel.

The Westin is located in the heart of Boston with easy access to public transportation, restaurants and shopping. Great location for business travelers. Customer service was also great. Definitely worth checking out for your next business trip!
Arrived in Boston just in time for a heavy snowfall accompanied with a vicious wind. Being from snowy Colorado I was well aware of fast changing weather conditions. The Westin staff were also aware and took on the opportunity to show off their talent. These people know how to take care of customers with their great service, personalities and that always lovely humor. I'll be back!

Couldn't ask for a better location. No free wifi. Only basic tv channels.
The amenities, the restaurants, the staff, the rooms were all very nice. I was very upset with the fact that my room had no internet access other than paying $13 to $17 a day. I am sure when I made my reservation through Kayak that in the description of the room it read that internet access was included. I called the concierge desk but they were of no help to me. As nice as my stay was, I would not stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it. The elevators were a mess during my stay too. Everyone staying there was upset and complaining about the incredibly long wait times.
Elevators are a disaster, unless you love waiting. No free wifi in the rooms (what year is this????). No fridge in rooms (what year is this???)
Lovely hotel. Elevator system very efficient. Rooms very spacious. Noisy neighbors. Called front desk and they didn't seem to do anything.

It is in the Copley Plaza and as such closed to every thing and like other hotels in Boston, too expensive for what one gets in return, but this one was less expensive. Though Internet was available, only at exorbitant price; amenities in the room, none; one plain bottle of water was $7.50, though we had a nice view to the street, still the room was not cozy, rather detached , impersonal and with white all around gives the sensation one is in a hospital and it is sickening. no night reading lights. In the middle of night to much lights moving to the room frm out side.. It is clear one is not at home!
The location was great. For $640/night there were zero amenities. Such as, the room came with 2 keurig pods, if you needed more (for your 4 night stay) they would happily provide them for you for $1 per kcup. Wifi was extra. Oh, there was a continental breakfast on the 28th floor however, for my $640/night that was not included in my stay. Not sure how you upgraded to coffee and a donut.

It was in walking distance to restaurants, shopping and many historical sites. I had an amazing view of the harbor and the room was very comfortable and clean Although the food was good the menu needs more variety
the view was the best. Have to get private parking, costed same as my stay at the hotel. waited for 1 hour and made 5 calls to get brushes.
I recommend valet parking. Location is excellent for shopping too and staff are great. Bathroom was not cleaned properly may be the product they used and did not finish wiping down because toilet cover and seat was sticky.
Located in large shopping mall in center of town. Very clean and relatively comfortable. Water bottle in room cost $7.50. Elevators very slow on occasion. Very old TV system with limited HD channel selection.

Easy to get to many places. Wonderful room double beds and separate table and chairs. We were on college visits, close to T station, shopping and even a visit to the Boston Public Library. Staff was very attentive.

The staff was very friendly and eager to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as they could. The rooms were very comfortable. and quiet. The kids really had a good time in the pool. I found a bobby pin in the bathroom that didn't belong to us. We ran out of shampoo and conditioner. There was no soap holder in the bathroom. The soap bars were too small for the wire holder There were no hand bars in the tub enclosure that an older person,such as myself, could hold on for support while leaning over to wash their feet.

- Location - Rooms were nice - Price was reasonable - We stayed there partly because of the rooftop pool, but they sold so many "day passes" on the weekends, that hotel guests like us couldn't get a chair. It was an amenity that they sold right out from under us. Boo!
The location is good. Walkable to many attractions and restaurants. T stop right in front. They didn't have our room ready at the check in time. The sink was clogged with what looked like old vomit. The service was slow. The rooftop pool is tiny as is the area. I definitely wouldn't pay all that money to stay there.
Yet another fine experience at The Colonnade! Comfortable rooms, great staff, Rooftop Pool and a Rubber Duck!!! Highly recommend!

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Short walking distance to attractions. Check out was not until 12pm, maid knocked on door the door four times from 8am till 11:36am. Felt like was being rushed out.
Easy check in, clean room and great location. Staff was friendly, professional and eager to help. I had an issue with the town car service they provided (no fault of their own) and they resolved it promptly with apologies. recommend without reservation.
Comfortable beds. Nicey decorated room. Pleasant staff. Party crowd in the hallways from 3:30 until 4:30 am even after I asked them to quiet down. Valet parking is $ 50 while a public parking lot is accross the street. Breakfast not included.
This was a great hotel for the price, right in the heart of Boston. The room was nice and clean, and the free wifi was a bonus. I arrived late and needed to get dinner, but the restaurant was closed. The staff recommended Star Market, the 24 hour grocery store (LOL), but walking a couple blocks I found a nearby bar that was still serving food.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, No restaurant, Two nights I could hear the tenant above me as it sounded like he was bouncing a bowling ball. Only lasted a few minutes each night but not desirable at 11 pm
The convenience of the location next to Prudential with some of the best local fine dining, and the hospitality of the staff deserve special recognition. The overall ambience is excellent; I highly recommend this place.
The hotel staff was so courteous and friendly! We were traveling for our anniversary and they were so nice to upgrade our room AND allow us early check-in after we arrived from an early morning flight. I liked the proximity to Boylston and Newberry St. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Boston. If the hotel was located a little closer to the freedom trail, it would have been perfect for our trip! We didn't mind walking, but did notice it wasn't as central as we thought.
Nothing, really. The front desk concierge was not at all helpful. He was aloof, abrupt and dismissive. We mistakenly booked a room with one bed instead of two and when we had a rollaway bed delivered it came with only one thin blanket. We had to ask twice for more blankets. We were put in a handicap room which was dark, dismal and clearly not used frequently. There were no electrical outlets to charge our phones (we unplugged a light fixture.) There were no glasses in the bathroom. We were treated to the droning music from the downstairs dance club until 2 AM. There was nothing redeeming about our stay except good pancakes in the morning.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean. Andrew and the valet boys were wonderful. Very professional. You could barely turn around in the, less than spacious, bathroom.
The style of the hotel, convenient location and valet parking were nice. They were accommodating with our bags since arriving early. There was nothing spectacular about this hotel. They made us wait until after 3 pm to check in. I gave the woman at the front desk our phone number while we walked around the city so she could let us know when our room was ready. We walked back to the hotel, it was after 3 and still couldn't check in so we waited in the lobby for about another 30 mins. We finally approached the front desk again and it appeared they had forgot to tell us it was ready. The rooms were nice and location convienent but that's about it. It worked well for one night but I wouldn't stay there for an extended period of time.

The hotel is central so easy to walk around Boston. The staff were helpful in the main and the room was spacious and clean. We didn't like the breakfast which was very poor and we didn't like the fact that we were not helped in making urgent phone calls - despite several requests as we were struggling with a completely new system and completely exhausted after a long flight.

Location. Nice bar. Internet in lobby. The bed was too small!!! Definitely not big enough for 2 normal sized people! Also, there was a smoke detector above the bed that blinked green lights all night. The view from our room was a brick wall which was a little disappointing but not the worst thing in the world...
Staff were excellent, helpful and courteous. Well appointed rooms and facilities. Excellent value, above our expectations. No problems at all.
The rooms were comfortable, well-decorated, well-sized (especially given the location), and had a great sound system (that was a pleasant surprise!). The location is excellent. The parking garage (the only parking option) was quite far away and when the weather was cold and windy, it was quite a pain to get to the car.
location was good. easy access to places. quick breakfast was also fine. bagel was soft (I liked that) ... I wish I could have experienced bar which I did not ... I wish you had a coffee maker in the room.. It was very dry and I was dehydrated every morning... Also, (this is very personal but...) I had cup noodles which I could not make or eat becauase of no coffee makers( no hot waters...) I looked downstairs once and there were no coffee or hot water available...24hours?!? not sure if it was..

My room had been recently refurbished. decor very nice - and good size. would be good for longer term stay as it had kitchenette. Stairwell was narrow - no elevator which was not an issue for me, but might be. also the office staff was not always present: "on break, back shortly, sorry for inconvenience"
We lived in Back Bay in the past so the old sounds and smells of an authentic row house were familiar and expected when we reserved the room. It was clean, albeit old and aging, the kitchenette useful and well supplied, the chairs and table at the bay windows and view very nice. There are stores nearby for food as well as nice takeouts. It is not for everyone - but we loved it! To be in the center of Boston for that price was fantastic. We were able to air out the smell of febreze or the like. It was not needed and if it had not aired out, it would have been a problem.
Lots of space, kitchen facilities, nice street, friendly staff, close to shops, including Prudential Centre and Shaws supermarket, great value - $140 inc tax for a one bed studio. Shower took a long time to heat up, we guess this was because we were in the basement apartment and the boiler was at the top of the building. Think the place is being slowly overhauled as some of kitchen/bathroom units look a little bit bashed, but another suite we looked into as it was being cleaned was really well furnished. Our flat was mostly lovely though. The carpet leading to our room, down the stairs needs replacing and the room next door is the linen room and a big basket of dirty linen was sat in the corridor at one point, but overall this didn't affect our stay. The aircon filter was not clean though so we didn't use it, it does need cleaning. Check in area was cluttered.
Great location, well-furnished apartments Not handicap accessible and no mention of that on the website or in any of the information provided. My room was on the 3rd floor in a building with no elevator. The only interaction I had with staff prior to check out was because I emailed to ask them about a late arrival; did not talk to or hear from anyone else other than that.
Love the location, very close to everything we wanted. Fenway was just a quick walk away as well as a few nice bars. However there were two different tram lines just a few blocks away to get anywhere not within walking distance. Room was small but clean with all the amenities required. Didn't care for the coffee, however there was a 711 two blocks down that had green mountain coffee so all was well there. Also didn't care for having to park a few blocks away, but for $15 a day parking, it was better than getting a ticket.
The location and full kitchen facilities. It was within walking distance of all activities we were involved with. Excellent location for subway. Shower heads were extremely noisy. Adjacent room shower woke us.

The responsiveness of the staff was good when there were problems. The room had not been checked properly prior to being let to us. We had to change rooms as the first one had blinds that did not fit the window so our privacy was compromised. The second room in which we stayed was not clean including plates in the cupboards. We had to wash them before use. The tv did not work due to a broken cable. We had no way of controlling the heating when it was chilly and had to call for it to be switche in on more than one occasion. There were no cooking utensils or cutlery in the room and the gas cooker would not ignite automatically with no provision of a manual lighter. The carpet was filthy around the edges, the whole place needed a good clean, thick dust lay along the edge of the carpet.
Back Bay neighborhood townhouses converted to hotel . . . didn't "stay" in Boston for a night --- I lived in Boston for a night . . . love this place . . . will be my 1st choice for Boston in future
The price for being two blocks away from Prudential center was great as the event I was attending was being held there. Clean sheets, floors, and otherwise. Friendly and helpful staff! The walls were thin enough where I could clearly hear any noises including coughs, grumbles and otherwise of next door patrons.
My new wife and I honeymooned there for one night. It was an old building, but clean and well-furnished. Each little apartment has everything you need, plus ours had a nice view. The bed was fantastically comfortable and we enjoyed being able to eat food we made ourselves at at little table. Staff was kind and pleasant to deal with. This place is not new or renovated or fancy by any standards, but well maintained and cozy, and a great value. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking to stay at a decent place in Boston for a good price! The cheap shampoo and soap provided smelled a little weird, and there was a funny little device on the wall that may have been meant for a lamp or some device that had exposed wires. We parked at Alewife station for $7 and took the T in because the parking at Copley House is $20 and the cheapest around (and we hate driving in Boston traffic). Still, the good outweighed these minor inconveniences!

Great facilities for an extended stay. Breakfast couild be taken in the lounge or taken to your apartment. Good level of equipment an the rooms were well appointed. Free wifi.

Great location. Staff at the front desk, especially Jason and Laura, were friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The front lobby and elevator smelled awful. We were satisfied enough but will definitely stay somewhere else next time.
