Everyone was nice and helpful and efficient! The walls are a little thin so you could hear people getting in the shower and doors closing.
They had a nice gym and pool area for working out. The staff is horribly rude and is pretty much incompetent. The first room the have me already had people staying in it. You can imagine the surprise on both our faces when I opened the door.
Room was cozy and bed was comfy. I would like to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom along with a night light also in the bathroom. Perhaps a board in the lobby of what might be going on in the city or in the vicinity. When we were there fireworks were set off at about 9pm, it was Labor Day weekend. If we knew in advance, we would have gone down to the waterfront to view them.
Loved the room, the bed was amazing, and the sheets were too. The view from our room looked directly at 10 HVAC units, so there wasn't much of a view. A cover over them would've made looking beyond them easier. Each room should include parking for one car, having to pay to park on top of what you're paying for the room is absurd.
The hotel was easy to get to, and had parking on-site (not free, which is the norm in Boston from what I'm told). There was a nice restaurant on-site, and a Starbucks for breakfast in the morning. The room was very clean, and the bed and pillows comfortable. You couldn't really walk anywhere from the hotel easily, and Boston is a very walkable town. There were no other options for breakfast other than Starbucks in the lobby, except room service at an outrageous price. The wi-fi was not accessible--we could have called the desk, but didn't bother. There was no information in the room with instructions. The shower was so weak it took twice as long to rinse off, unless you used the hand-held massage shower which took your skin off. Local phone calls were not free which is ridiculous. Bottled water in the room had a price tag on it. I was afraid to use the soap in the bathroom for fear it would cost extra. I do not like being "nickled and dimed." The little amenities should be free. Will look elsewhere for my next stay.
Staff was fantastic and helpful in every way. Location was great for proximity to airport, and not too far from downtown, if you don't mind a short walk or bus ride.
Clean, beautiful architecture Staff were unhelpful, argued with me about SGP and then realized they were wrong, didn't offer standard things that I get being a platinum member staying 60+ days a year there. Very unprofessional all around.
I was there 3 nights. Very noisy guests the second night - a Friday night - yelling and running up and down my hall from midnight to 2 AM. Maybe a wedding party? Didn't happen the other nights, but was not something I expected at this high-end of a hotel.
Everyone is so professional and eager to help. When i mentioned to Michael the bellman that it was my friends birthday that brought us in to Boston, we came back to the room to a complimentary bottle of wine and perfect desserts. That to me is outstanding attention to detail when creating an experience for your guests. the parking garage seriously needs someone to guide you through it. what a maze!
The bed and shower were great!!! The pool and hot tub was busy

Beautiful lobby and rooms very comfortable. The Westin beds are always wonderful And the shower was amazing. Room location terrible. No view.
Hip hotel, nicely furnished. Staff was busy but helpful. Good value for the money, especially with sales. Parking included depending on the rate. Construction still ongoing during morning and midday in the attached first floor area makes it very noisy during those times. Staff was frequently too busy to help you immediately, although always cordial.
Good location, clean and modern Not very good food at the bar/restaurant, big noisy but tolerable AC unit in the room, hurried overworked staff.
Walking distance to a lot of places. We brought our own beer to drink in our room and they said we couldn't bring it to our room so we had to keep it behind the desk (which they put it in the fridge for us thankfully) till we checked out.

Bra saengar, bra filmutbud. Personalen hittade foerst inte vaar bokning, det tog saekert 20 minuter innan den kom till raetta. Det tycks vara naagot glapp mellan booking.com och hotellet.

Mycket tillmötesgående och trevlig personal. Bra med vanservicen då hotellet inte låg centralt. Rent och fina rum. Saknade utrymmen för att bara sitta och ta en kopp kaffe och prata. För litet frukostrum som satt ihop med receptionen och entre dörren som det blåste kallt ifrån.. Ingen lunch eller middagsservering.
Receptionspersonalen var fantastisk. De hjälpte oss med sevärdheter, transporter, shopping, telefonsamtal. Deras bemötande var oerhört servicinriktat. Vi bad att få byta rum och det var inga som helst problem. Vårt flyg blev inställt så vi var tvungna att boka ytterligare en natt på kort varsel. De ordnade så att vi fick behålla rummet trots att det egentligen var fullt. Frukostbuffén är toppen. Det finns mycket att välja på, frukt, flingor, ägg, bra youghurt etc. Personalen är trevlig och fyller stänigt på. Ordning o reda. Hotellet lanserar sig som rökfritt men trots det röker folk på rummen. Kanske rum utan heltäckningsmttor kan lösa luktproblemet?
The rooms, bathroom, and lobby were all spotless. The front desk was always available, friendly, and helpful. On the day we departed, they held our luggage (for 11 people) while we toured the city. Andrew station is a 7 minute walk and there are plenty of street lights to make that walk safe.
Nice location, comfy rooms, friendly staff. Easy to get into Boston downtown. Parking situation was slightly difficult but the staff helped nicely.
The layout of the room was great and spacious. Having a full kitchen was cool, though we never used it. Having the pull out sleeper sofa was useful and comfortable. Also the tvs in the room were newer and had good picture and sound. The shower was nice and hot. There are these little square seats that have castor wheels on the bottom for easy movement, but the wheels were broken off on a couple of them. While the water was hot the water pressure was lackluster. Lastly the switches to control the lights seemed to be wired incorrectly, we plaued with the switches and they seemed to control nothing or something across the room that didn't really make sense.
Hotel and staff were great, very quick with following up the couple times we called down to the front desk. Area is quiet, very close to convention center. Room was spacious, easily accommodated the three of us. Easy walking access to wherever you could want to go.
Location, modernness, cleanliness, convenience all excellent. Code for doors simplifies the process. Kitchen well stocked and generally available. Bathrooms were large, clean, efficient. Enough so that access was not a problem. We'd use STRBoston again. We visited in November. Our room temperature was around 62-63 degrees -- controlled by locked thermostat in hall. Window would not lock, but fixed the next morning. Hair driers did not work -- took two days to fix -- used others on floor above.
It was definitely cheap, that's for sure. We liked that it has a full kitchen every other floor and also many bathrooms. Since it's a hostel, you do share those with others but that was never a problem for us. Even though there were other people staying in the building, I was never in the kitchen with any one or found myself waiting for a bathroom. Also the bathrooms were decently clean and always well stocked. We also liked that since there is a full kitchen there's are dishes and silverware to use (which of course you should place in the dishwasher when done) which came in handy when we bought a bottle of wine but forgot about the bottle opener and glasses. Even though it appeared generally clean and well kept, the fact that there were two cockroach traps in our bedroom and then I saw another in the kitchen, kind of really skeeved me out. Luckily never saw any roaches in them though. Also, we thought we would be getting a queen bed but it was definitely just a full and also not as fluffy and comfy as the other hostel from this same company that we had previously stayed at. The worst thing about the place was the location though. The closest T station is a little under 20 minute walk, which was very awful when carrying luggage when it's snowing/sleeting out. Not fun at all. You can easily grab a taxi but the extra $6 each way adds up. There is also a bar right across the street, so with the loud drunken men chatting it up outside all night combined with the constant trucks and other loud vehicles, we found our room was never silent and it was very hard to fall asleep or to sleep in. Wouldnt stay here unless you're really desperate to save a couple bucks. There's another hostel owned by the same company located at 30 West Broadway across from the T station that is the 20 minute walk away from this one. We stayed there last year and loved it, the $30 or so less a night for this one wasn't worth it.
It was clean, had the basic necessities, easy to access, good kitchen and laundry facilities, safe, convenient location close to buses and downtown, affordable price. It was across the street from a bar and at night the bar patrons were quite noisy until 2:00 am, making it difficult for me to sleep well. Also, there is no parking close by, so people with vehicles need to know that they will have to park far away and walk for about 20 min. to reach a parking garage from the hotel. There is no dining area, so patrons need to eat in their rooms.
