Location is fantastic--easy walking distance to all the places of interest. Hotel is itself a historical landmark. Room was rather small, no free wifi.
Location was close to most points of interest in downtown/waterfront Boston. Large lobby and helpful staff. Clean. Would rather have traded nice large entrance and lobby area for a better room size and traded the standard (double) bed for a queen size. Price for what we received was a little on the expensive side. Hotel claims to be 4 star but it doesn't quite make that level. WiFi should have been included as is becoming standard at hotels of this level
The staff at the back hotel bar was friendly, excellent and accommodating when the kitchen was about to close in 5 minutes. He even offered to get Guinness on tap from the front bar the Last Hurray. Rooms were clean and they were able to accommodate us with a better view. Bed is comfortable and linens are nice thread count. Decor is classic, wood paneled, gold, red and mustard yellow-- and reminded us of Stephen King's The Shining (where the film was made). Wifi is not included if you book through a third party-- they should change this policy as a courtesy. Drainage in tub was a little slow but this is true of most Boston older buildings.
This hotel for the amount I paid was really above my expectations in terms of service. Location is very central to the historic district, entertainment, food shopping. The hotel itself has a rich history and great to wonder through it. Would stay here again.
Had to move rooms 3, almost 4, times. The whole situation was handled very poorly until we finally were helped by a manager. Just wish it did not have to get that far... Overall, the hotel is extremely outdated, struggled to control the temperature in the room and the walls were so thin we heard a screaming child all night. Images online are extremely deceiving and lead to a disappointing experience as a whole.

Although small, the room was comfortable and the shower quite lovely. Plenty of hot water in the morning. A blizzard was expected so I decided to check out a day early, and this was hassle free. I did not ask for the name of the person who helped me with the checkout, but she was very polite and extremely helpful. The door man and valet folks were quick to bring my car and wish me a safe journey. Overall a very pleasant stay and I was able to accomplish that which I was in town for. I found sleep very difficult due to the noise level throughout the first night of my stay, which was a Tuesday. Many drunk people coming to rooms late very loud in the hallway and then one couple in the room next to mine arguing until approximately 4am.
Samantha was great as we were checking in. We were a little early for check in so she said the hotel would hold our bags while we toured the city. She came through on the promise of a room with a better view. So happy with the room that over looked Kings Chapel and Old City Hall. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, easy walking distance to anything. Beds were comfortable. Room was a little small but wont stop me from staying again. No free WiFi.
Nice Location Room was tiny, outdated decorations, you spend hundreds on a room and they want to charge you $10 day for internet. Stay somewhere else !
The historic beauty of the lobby. Desire queen sized beds. The maid inadvertently picked up my husband's tuxedo shirt when changing the bed linen. Although we reported the loss, no one has contacted us since about ever finding it? A disappointed guest :+(

Location in Back Bay only redeeming feature. $110 million redo yet very small, noisy rooms. Family was in town for a wedding. A huge Convention was also at the hotel. Noise, noise , noise! Convention goers on our floor had noisy drunken party. Front desk could not deal with them. Offered us new room locations for following night. Our "new" room had no hot water until maintenance was called. Extremely small queen room. Hallways so wide and high, every voice heard in the room. Plumbing noisy and easy to hear voices in next room. Would never stay here again. Too many other quality hotels in the area. Missed the mark with the redo.

The address given to me by the hotel was correct. Tons of hidden fees that are mandatory. Booked a king and was given a queen, with ZERO refund given. Would give this hotel a 0/5 if I could. Slapping travelers with hidden, mandatory fees should be illegal.
Location, next to many "sights" within walking distance and the entrance to the metro line just across the street that can take you almost anywhere. Also a host of dining options in the neighborhood. Rooms were updated but on the smaller side for the price paid. All the staff was courteous and helpful, including everyone. The size of the room, felt cramped. Didn't include free wifi, but the paid version was pretty reliable. Don't know if it was the case in the neighborhood or just the hotel, but the water had an odd taste to it.
My wife and I stayed for a getaway weekend at the Boston Park Plaza and we had an amazing stay. Arriving into the hotel we were greeted immediately by staff and checkin was quick and effortless. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfortable . Before going out for the night we enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar and the staff was amazing. We would highly recommend this hotel
We stayed the weekend and it was really loud. Different groups of people were really loud in the hallways literally ALL night. It was like you were part of a spring break scene all over again.
Trash in the room on the floor on arrival...
For one day and night after eye surgery my husband was completely blind. Please give high thanks to the doorman who helped him into the cabs or hotel lobby. After the bandages came off he could again see! Thank you Ma Eye and Ear and Park Plaza Hotel.

Location, location, location. From here it is an easy walk to many fine restaurants, shopping, or for researchers, the NEHGS or the Boston Library (which doubles as an art museum). Little further for the Freedom Trail, but doable if you are used to walking. If you just want to rest and watch the world go by, the Commons is right across the street and at least during the day very safe and family friendly. Caught a late flight but they were more then helpful in storing our luggage and assisting in getting a ride to the airport.

The proximity to the park was ideal for my 12 year old golden retriever. She loved all the attention she received in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating even during the holiday crush. Highly recommended.

There was a large stain on the carpet and the furniture/appliances were a bit outdated. Location was great and staff was friendly and helpful.
After making arrangements for our kids to stay with friends for the night, my wife and I booked a room at the Taj to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Within hours of checking in, we were startled by loud, raucous music. So loud that we had trouble hearing each other from across the room even though we were 3 floors below. Turns out the Taj was hosting a wedding party in the roof. Management said they were booked and couldn't move us. It was so unpleasant, we ended up checking out that same night so we could get a good night's sleep.

A shower with black mold is gross, even if it is marble. The clock made funny noises about 2am. It wasn't the alarm, maybe a failing battery backup, Thought the maid fixed it, but nope. Only solution was to unplug it. Mentioned it when we checked out. On our last day we left the room for the day we left the AC on to keep the room around 68 deg, imagine our surprise when we returned at 7 pm the room was 87 deg! The AC was no longer functional, and per the "engineer" they sent up the only solution was to open windows. As a result we got to listen to the large air handlers all night. The last day we decided to try the breakfast buffet, the food was okay but certainly not worth the $25/ea! The best thing about this place is the location.
Very clean . Beds very comfortable. Room size great. Needs to redecorate, wallpaper , bathrooms old . And staff is really nice but seems like in slow motion.
We had a room overlooking Public Garden and it was great. Nice view during the day and at night. Hotel is on Newbury Street and close to nice shopping, good restaurants, Beacon Hill - lots to do. Afternoon Tea is wonderful. We had a suite and they charged us $25 for rollaway bed for our daughter - tacky.
The staff are excellent, the rooms very comfortable and the location is perfect, close to the T and right on the park.

The best part was necessarily the SPA, gym and swimming pool which can make a major diffrence in any hotel stay. The staff manning the cafe and restaurants clealry requires more experinence and effectiveness.
Staff very helpful Considering the cost of the 3 rooms (we had a family group of 9), I would expect a complimentary abbreviated breakfast offering. I walked down the street for coffee.
The customer service was outstanding! So professional and attentive. Can't wait to go back! I can't say anything but great things .
This was a much nicer hotel than I expected for the money I paid. We were traveling with two children and had no problems. Everyone, especially the concierge was friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Quincy Market and the Aquarium. The Italian North end is just a little further. Great overall experience. The only downside was the parking at the hotel was extremely expensive and was valet only. I'm sure there were other less expensive options nearby, but we didn't want the hassle of driving around the city with two crabby kids in the car.

The Westin is located in the heart of Boston with easy access to public transportation, restaurants and shopping. Great location for business travelers. Customer service was also great. Definitely worth checking out for your next business trip!
The shower kept running hot and cold and I could not set a temperature that was relatively consistent
Arrived in Boston just in time for a heavy snowfall accompanied with a vicious wind. Being from snowy Colorado I was well aware of fast changing weather conditions. The Westin staff were also aware and took on the opportunity to show off their talent. These people know how to take care of customers with their great service, personalities and that always lovely humor. I'll be back!
Location Staff was inattentive and seemed bored. I arranged for a crib for my room for my son and upon arrival, it was not in the room which was hugely inconvenient. I had to call to have it brought up. Also, wifi should be free in this hotel.
What you would expect from a Westin. Clean, fairly modern rooms, big TV, complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea. It's connect by skywalks to other malls so you can get to many places without even hitting the street. Had little interaction with the staff but they were all courteous and efficient.
You can get to Copley Place and the Pru without going outside so weather is not an issue. Lots of restaurants nearby including Eataly. Symphony Hall is walkable. You can also walk down Newbury Street to the Public Garden. Hotel is small enough that you're not overwhelmed by people everywhere like the Marriott nearby. Parking is expensive! No coffee/tea in lobby - just in room.
No pool due to renovations...not mentioned when reservations were made...not explained when checked in...

staff were very friendly and it was in the best location of Boston. Overall it was an excellent choice - value for the money I paid. At my surprise, opon checking out they charged the normal rate, which was twice more expensive than the Booking.com price. Then I had to show the Booking.com e-mail to bring the price back to the one at which the booking was made. It was a cumbersome process. The hotel staff told me that this kind of problem often took place with the Booking .com.
The food, room service staff, the bed, the ambiance. The arrogance of hotelstaff, the way they snubb/address eachother when they do not want to do a task themselves, are gossiping when idle and the lack of interest in guests.
The interior of the hotel. That was about it. The room was not only small but watching tv was only possible sitting on the edge of the bed on the side. Miserable view. Were prepared to pay more for another room. Briefly - no hotel fully bo No value for a lot of money. Breakfast in the Oakroom was one morning being served by a friendly and polite waiter but the next day it was a very arrogant service as if we had to be thankful to be served.

Great location for shopping. Gold floor staff were very attentive. Worth the upgrade, especially as the Oak bar was so crowded on Saturday night. The Gold lounge was a pleasant oasis.

The hotel was very clean and very roomy. It also was close to the T Things I didn't like were.. Couldn't get the room to feel completely warm.set thermostat to 78 it barely hit 70. Parked in the parking garage a block away for $22 for the weekend compared to the hotel wanting to charge me $51 to park per day kind of a no brainier. Who's there was a pool or hot tub to relax in during our stay.

Deluxe room - lots of space, good desk/lighting/reading chair, excellent bed, large marble bath and amenities. OAK is a great bar and restaurant with excellent food and lively vibe. Room service was prompt, friendly and delicious. And the hotel has a sweet black Lab to welcome guests. Noise from hall seeps in through the old wood doors; not really a problem until a couple drunk bros came in at 4AM and spent 20 minutes in the hall being enthusiastic.

The location was perfect for seeing almost everything in Boston. You ar eright in the centre of things yet it is not noisy like some hotels right in the hub of town. 2 things - No coffee maker in the room...thankfully coffee shops were close by...and having to pay for Internet in business centre

The location was great especially in proximity to public transportation. The decor was simple and comfortable. The noise coming from the hallway and room next door was somewhat bothersome. The lounge on the groundfloor became a night spot on the weekend and guests are continuing to party going back to their rooms. The acoustics in the lounge were very loud as well.
I encountered a few problems and the staff acted immediately to accommodate me.

The location was great with close proximity to public transportation and that made it easy for us to get around the city. Front desk was able to get us a room with double beds on a busy holiday weekend. 1) Slow elevator to get to lobby 2) Steep valet parking fees 3) Room service did not clean the room on our first day. I am not sure whether it was because of busy holiday weekend.
Friendly staff; accommodated a late check out request, but with a fee to be paid. Not an issue. Promised champagne and strawberries for special occasion (but never arrived). Great location. Bellmen were extremely helpful! Front desk staff seemed friendly, but read issues we had. Had there not been any of the issues, this would've been a great stay, I just don't know why there were so many missteps. It was a good stay, if you look at room size, bed comfort, bathroom size and comfort (just don't expect privacy; everyone will know your business in there!), friendliness, location. This should be a phenomenal stay. It has all the makings for it. It must've been a full moon or something that weekend. Was promised champagne and strawberries the first evening, but it didn't come. The next day, the room wasn't cleaned when we arrived back at 11pm, so called to have at least the bed made and fresh towels (they offered a discount on an additional night, which was accepted, though didn't go smoothly at final check out for some reason); also mentioned the missing champagne and strawberries, was told they'd be there the next night, but again no champagne or strawberries when we returned. Ever. Hallway was meeting central at 3am for drunken shenanigans by other guests. Finally, on the fourth day, after returning to the hotel after a long day, the wireless entry failed, so we had to wait to be let into the room. To the front desk's credit, they were going to upgrade us for free on the last night for the inconvenience, but one of us needed to get back into the room because they were flying out in two hours, so that wouldn't work. Was promised an email accounting, even gave email address and was promised in 5-10min; it's now over twelve hours later, and still no receipt in my inbox or spam/junk folder.

Room was immaculate and newly renovated. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and accommodating for my late check in. I am from the area and stayed overnight to avoid public transit issues on the morning of an important meeting. I would definitely stay there again!

nothing - pay for internet in a 4* hotel? in every starbucks internet is for free, at least a basic bandwith - rooms are really old, I expected more from the brand hyatt - on 1st day room was not cleaned, only upon call I never ever stay in a Hyatt again

Staff was very helpful and kind. After taking a red eye they were able to accommodate us on an early check in. Hotel and rooms were clean. Beds were comfy too. AND it's close to everything/walking distance.
Location is great in the center of everything walking distance anywhere to Boston. That breakfast is not included with the price tag of the room breakfast should be complementary. Parking under the hotel should be priced accordingly and have a special pricing for hotel residents.
Nice and clean. Annoying to pay for parking. Made me really angry, the hotel should have free parking for its guests. $40-55 a night is just ridiculous.
everything worked good location
Comfy beds and clean room located easy walks from Boston Common Faneuil Hall and so much of the tourist stops we wanted to see. Salvatore's was a decent restaurant right across the street. Snooty staff at front desk. Restaurant staff courteous. Not a hotel with a family vibe. It seems more suited for business and conference attendees
The brick work was super cool and the location is top notch. Walking Charles street and public garden was amazing If you stay in the jail rooms the lobby can get a little roudy, but bar closes at 2am so it's quiet after that
The liberty staff, amenities, location and feel were top notch. I did not like how thin the walls connecting the rooms were. It was hard to fall asleep at night a few nights we were there because there was no sound buffer.
The staff was very friendly and courteous. Location was excellent for my needs Price was way too much for the room and amenities. Very poor value for the money. Does not compare to the Four Seasons or the Ritz in comfort price or amenities. Room was not very comfortable and to charge $19.95 for high speed internet per day is outrageous.For the price it should be complimentary. Would not stay there again.
Structure Pretty much everything
Clean and comfortable. Good valet staff. $50 parking... conveniently not mentioned prior to arrival. Asked for 2 queens and got a king. Nothing but 20-somethings in the lobby any time I was in it (ZZZzzzzzz). As I almost live in hotels, I care about the mix for my own sanity and it would be nice to have a more professionally/intellectually diverse mix. Inconvenient access to AC plugs at the desk. Occupancy sensors suck. No mint:)
We've stayed at the Liberty several times. We love it. Great location, great restaurants, and the lobby is amazing.
Customer Service was amazing - staff was efficient, friendly and helpful. Over all feeling of this place is customer-centric without being stuffy or gratuitous -Would love to go back again! It was a little hard to get to off the highway - but not much they can do about that ;)

The hotel is very unique for sure. How often do you get to stay in a prison in luxury? The staff is very friendly, and the glass of sparkling wine at check in was lovely. The quiet lobby turns into a very lively nightclub in the evening. Our view was a tiny slice of the Charles river and the Royal Sonesta Hotel. The price for everything from drinks to breakfast is obscene. My husband and I had breakfast in Clink Sunday morning, I had Bacon and eggs, with 6 pieces of red potatoe,and two cold pieces of toast. My husband had the same except he had sausages that were undercooked, and we each had coffee. The total came to $59.92 without tip. We didn't get menus, just ordered, so we were stunned. Buyer beware!!

The Meritage Restaurant was outstanding. Our view was magnificent and the staff was very attentive, they seem to like what they are doing. The maid service was a bit inconsistent.

Wonderful location with a world class view of the Boston Harbor, the airport across the bay and the flashing lighthouse at the mouth of the Atlantic beyond. Very good downstairs staff, lovely restaurant and bar, and spectacular if you like boats, the water, watching the weather and walking to the aquarium, etc. Easy to get to by water taxi from the airport -- an adventure. The sheet on the bed had what was certainly a fresh red blood drop on it -- like someone had cut them selves and didn't know while making the bed -- when we finally came in late the first night. The staff took care of this and the room was very clean after that.

It is in the Copley Plaza and as such closed to every thing and like other hotels in Boston, too expensive for what one gets in return, but this one was less expensive. Though Internet was available, only at exorbitant price; amenities in the room, none; one plain bottle of water was $7.50, though we had a nice view to the street, still the room was not cozy, rather detached , impersonal and with white all around gives the sensation one is in a hospital and it is sickening. no night reading lights. In the middle of night to much lights moving to the room frm out side.. It is clear one is not at home!
The amenities, the restaurants, the staff, the rooms were all very nice. I was very upset with the fact that my room had no internet access other than paying $13 to $17 a day. I am sure when I made my reservation through Kayak that in the description of the room it read that internet access was included. I called the concierge desk but they were of no help to me. As nice as my stay was, I would not stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it. The elevators were a mess during my stay too. Everyone staying there was upset and complaining about the incredibly long wait times.
I recommend valet parking. Location is excellent for shopping too and staff are great. Bathroom was not cleaned properly may be the product they used and did not finish wiping down because toilet cover and seat was sticky.

Located in large shopping mall in center of town. Very clean and relatively comfortable. Water bottle in room cost $7.50. Elevators very slow on occasion. Very old TV system with limited HD channel selection.

The location was great. For $640/night there were zero amenities. Such as, the room came with 2 keurig pods, if you needed more (for your 4 night stay) they would happily provide them for you for $1 per kcup. Wifi was extra. Oh, there was a continental breakfast on the 28th floor however, for my $640/night that was not included in my stay. Not sure how you upgraded to coffee and a donut.

Room was great; location superb to Fenway for Billy Joel concert, and staff was fine. Valet was extraordinary! However, had to negotiate with staff at desk to get room reserved. Booked at Hotel.com and reserved the Fenway Room which is shown on their website as looking over Fenway Park. When we asked for it upon arrival desk clerk told us a lot of people THINK it looks over Fenway but it doesn't. Even if it did there was construction obliterating any view. (Picture on Hotel.com misleading: hotel is on Beacon Street a block from Fenway Park). He gave us a "Kenmore" room which looked into alley-type street. Asked for refund of difference, told not done, but upgraded to suite. Satisfied with new room..
The staff was very nice. Service impeccable. Beds were so comfortable!!!! We will be back!!!! There is not a single thing I did not like about this hotel. It was wonderful!
Service was great, Room and amenities were lush. For a BU Alumni attending some University events it was perfectly convenient! Valet was a little pricey...park on the street if you can but the Valet guys offered great service! Valet parking was pricey for Boston!
We travel alot and I don't think I have ever stayed in a nicer hotel. The rooms were exceptional from cleanliness of the rooms to the friendliness of the staff. I will never stay in another hotel in Boston but thisone. Nothing!

Smelled good, friendly people, the room, the fancieness Issues with my prepaid credit card apparently they're not accepted. This should be noted somewhere when booking. I didn't have another credit card or enough cash. In the end it was worked out but it was unneeded stress. When checking out (645 am) we needed to wait for a bit. There was no staff at desk
Didn't even know it was the Boston Redsox Official Hotel. Lots of sports memorabilia, great creature comforts, staff eager to please. Jonathan at front desk was the standout employee that made our stay even better. He had great tips, suggestions for sights & food and truly made us welcome. Having to leave
The staff at the Hotel Commonwealth was friendly and accommodating. My Mom and I stayed one night in order to attend the Patriot's Victory Parade, and though we opted for a late checkout, we ended up getting stuck on the parade route. We called to let the hotel know, and they were very kind. Instead of charging us for half a day, they went and packed up our room for us, and held our luggage in the bell closet. The hotel was beautiful and the pillows and beds were some of the best I've ever slept in! Will definitely stay again.
Wifi was terrible. You couldn't even get high speed wireless in the lobby. You had to pay for it and even then it was spotty at best. For the money we paid for the room, reliable internet service is not too much to ask.
Bra läge i centrala Boston, bra rum och trevlig personal, mycket trist lobby. Dyrt med tanke på tråkiga allmänna ytor, begränsat gym. Saknade egen pub/café i hotellet.

Efter en nio timmars flight och en fem timmar lång tågresa från Newark var det underbart att checka in på Radisson Hotel Boston och sjunka ner i den sköna sängen med det fluffiga täcket. Från den 24e våningen med utsikt över höghusen i Bostons finance district var det inga problem att somna trots att stadslivet fortsatte utanför.

Location was outstanding. The interior of the hotel was impeccable - obviously new. The bed was probably the most luxurious of any hotel bed I have slept in. Bose Bluetooth speaker provided ambiance to the room. Continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Room was a fairly small. Dresser in the hall made for tight passage between the bedroom and the bathroom.
The location First room far to loud (trucks unloading / loading 5 am); second room not so loud, but still noisy. Strange inventory: No hooks to hang coats etc. Only one shelf for shirts in the wardrobe, no other furniture witgh drawers (underware etc.) half of the wardrobe full of ironong board. No hooks to hang bathrobe and bigger towels in the bathroom. small selection at breakfast, every day the same. Loud music allready at breakfast. No bowls for yoghurt and esreal to mix, except small plastic cups. All breakfast cups, spoons etc. plastic (lots of vaste) hardly any tables to eat breakfast (sofas. lounge chairs etc.) Over all feeling like a grown up youth hostel
Great location, central to most attractions. Very polite and helpful staff Ice machine was broken, but these things happen.
Location, Location, Location 2 min from Boston Common, in the center of the theater district Offsite Valet Parking was $52 per day, raising the effective room rate cost by that amount. Bed was too soft to be comfortable for my taste. No onsite restaurant
Great ,location, layout, quality, and service. Our second stay here and we remain fans of this newer downtown hotel. Comfortable beds, quality fixture, terrific, huge Tv, fast wifi. Haven't tried the food. The bar was nice. Jeez, the standard rooms are tiny with hard to access closet and no side table on one side of the bed. We were offered a larger room for another $40 and should have taken it!

Breakfast, decor, location, comfortable bed. Waking up to a 45 degree room and being told that a refund was not possible. They did provide a space heater, but after a few hours it only raised the temperature to 49 degrees. No refund?! The Godfrey said I have to get the refund through the website. I expect a runaround.

Tasteful and modern décor, beautiful details, friendly staff, comfortable beds, location, complimentary bottles of water TV program transmission quality was spotty. Glass shower screen led to wet bathroom floor and soaking bath mats after every shower. Ice machine hard to locate and not on every floor.
The Godfrey is very Modern, ideally located and the staff is super friendly. ( Except for the manager on duty when I checked in.) Booked a two bedroom with a third party site,didn't have that option so I called up the hotel to see if there was an option. Was told to just mark in underspecial request and they would have it for me. When I checked in was given a small King size room and says that's what we booked. Told the manager who talked to us what happened and she says we never made the request. I pulled up the reservation on myphone and showed her the request, then she says its first come first serve basis. Only room left for the night was a $80 upgrade was a four class upgrade to a suite which was much bigger and had two TVs, so I took it, had no other option. Walked into the room and if that was a four class upgrade I would hate to see a regular room. Room was very small, only one TV. Don't get me wrong, hotel was very nice. Big screen TV,nice showers and towels, but felt very very very cheated. Along with the $52 for parking it was like spending $600 a night for a small room.......Really??
Easy check in, impressive room, comfortable and clean. We left our bags after checking out and went out to enjoy the day, came back and retrieved them from the friendly staff later.
