I found the location excellent. We needed to get the train and it was rightr beside the train station. It was also handy for the airport bus.It also turned out to be useful that it had a bar as the snow was bad and we couldn't get out one night.! Wake up call that we didn't ask for at 5am on both mornings!!!!!!!
The hotel staff were warm and friendly.,..The room was very clean and tidy. Price of daytime food was slightly expensive.
I had a pair of spectacles lost / removed from my table in the hotel bar and they were never found
Location was great Bar prices very expensive
the use of the health club facilities it was a bit basic for a hilton - I could feel the springs in the matras, there were old stains on the bedding and the bathroom door. There was no hairdryer. The cooling system was not clear to use and the room was very hot - opening the window was no solution as it was very noisy - not sure where noise came from. (on the tenth floor)
Location, comfort & atmosphere No issues
Quality of service, food, decor, comfort. N/A
Good value for money great location nice breakfast Nothing
The entrance/welcome, the leisure facilities and the distance into the city centre the room was basic, not what what we expected for the price we had paid.
The pool steam room and sauna The wine was very expensive
The whole experience was lovely, the room was really nice and the bed was really comfy with good views of the city. just the cost of the mini bar being very expensive
The fact that it was very well placed for both shopping and entertainment and close to the station The air conditioning / heating made the room very dry and I went home with a cough
the staff were very pleasant and willing to help. The reception staff had excellent knowledge of the surrounding area ie shopping centres. he bar area was kept clean at all times and service was always prompt. We stayed in room 606 and the only thing which my wife and me noticed was the iron burn marks on the carpet which were present and must have been done by previous guests.
The ultra modern decor & cleanliness of the room. Also perfectly sited in the centre of leeds. Hotel was superb.
it was nice clean and cetral nice food and friendly staff would stay there again liked everything no complaints
the bathroom was especially nice and modern the room was very small for the price i had paid. There was only one pillow per person, to obtain any extras would have cost extra which is disgraceful when people have already paid so much money for the room. The head of bed was against the wall which led out to the hallway, this meant every noise in the hallway could be heard at what ever time of the night.
The room was spacious with everything that you needed. Very comfortable and clean. Could have had more pillows on the bed and room service menu and fridge items I thought were overpriced.
the comfort and style of the hotel
Large room in good location. No parking, very slow check in
Excellent city centre location with great views from the higher floors. Clean and pleasant room with huge comfortable beds. Check in was a little slow but it did seem that quite a lot of guests arrived at the same time so that was probably the reason why.
Nice modern hotel in great location No
the bed was comfy the telly was good the building is completly soulless, everything is so perfect its too much.the toilet extract stays on permenantly and its noisey, the light switches all clunk on and off and you hear even your neighbours.
the location by the Brewery Warf very expensive for the standard of accomodation and services provided
Good location, walking distance to shops, bars and nightlife. perfect for a shopping weekend or a night out. clean, spacious rooms and good breakfast. Parking is at an extra cost and is 5 mins walk away
The staff were impeccable in the level of service they offered. The room was clean and well appointed. The best thing thoug as far as I was concerend was the location.
Hotel staff did not konw about local attractions in the area, particularly the brewwery across the road.
Centrally located (5 mins walk into the city centre). An excellent value Hotel.
Excellent breakfast included in the price which made a big difference to me booking it and a good and speedy lift in spite of the hotel being busy parking difficult and shower could be more powerful - sofa bed was made up but was not needed
the price and convenience only reservation is noise between bedrooms esp late at night
The location was superb, the room was a really good size, it was very clean a comfortable. Parking. After being turned away from the light car park due to an ongoing murder investigation we had to park almost 1 mile away, when we enquired if we could still get the discounted parking vouchers availible from the hotel the guy behind the reception replied "we've got nothing to do with the murder". Very disappointing.
Very clean room and comfy beds and nice bedlinen. Good bathroom though shower mechanism overcomplicated! Yes, there were rows from the next door guestsin the corridor outside our room at 2am and 6am which was awful. We complained and got some money back.
Hotel beds too soft
Very clean, nice facilities, great location, and good value for money No biscuits with tea bar!! Mini bar was empty!! Checking in and out was a long process as you only had one staff on.
I was very impressed with the standard and quality of the rooms and ease of access to facilities
Convenient to city centre, rooms quiet Parking still expensive even with discount. Smoking in bar, which is above restaurant area, but I guess that will all change in July!
the location close to shops bars restaurants the train station and bus station.. no
Reception staff friendly and efficient. Pleasant room with very comfortable bed. Very central, but quiet in spite of being full. I find the keycard difficult to use in door, but maybe it was me being thick!
Beautiful room in a great location. Room service food was of a very [poor standard. As a solo female traveller I dined from the room service menu several times and was amazed that a hotel of such good reputation should have such a limited menu and poor quality food.
Brilliant location in The Light - we met friends for dinner on the Saturday evening at a restaurant 2 minutes away, watched a film on Sunday in the Light and then had a late lunch at Brio next to the hotel. Also, liked parking in a secure car park overnight. Next time we will eat Sunday lunch at the hotel - looked great! Kept forgetting to use the key card to operate the lift even though we were told at reception.
the whole experiance the staff were excellant and the spa was great
the friendly welcome and general helpfulness of the staff. the food was not good in either restaurant, though the breakfast choice was very good. We had to wait until almost 10pm for a table we had booked for 9. Not a good selection for vegetarians. The food was cold. But the staff in general were very pleasant. I would recommend the hotel but not the restuarant.
The pool and leisure facilities We were told we had a quiet room but were given one directly over the bar so we hardly slept, ruined what would have been a great weekend
Large, clean hotel.
Excellent value for money with very good facilities. Staff very obliging and pleasant at all times. Good parking facilities -free. Single beds too narrow.
The room was only made up for one person in the bathroom and one of the towels provided was so thin it actually had a hole in it.Also with a room overlooking the car park we were kept awake for about an hour by guests leaving the bars.
Excellent breakfast bar Exit access going north on to Otley Road
Food of high standard. Drink prices excessive. Not all restaurant open in evenings meaning guests turned away unless booked. Why are residents expected to book?
Breakfasts always good internet not in rooms or working properly
Pool/Spa, bar staff and atmosphere good, bar food also good Bed not very comfortable and moved too easily.
Clean - well equipped - stylish - affordable - convenient Room was cold.
there was empty bottles of spirits in one of the kitchen cupboards. (4)
This is a catered apartment set-up. The rooms are very modern and beautifully designed. Cleanliness excellent, with breakfast in the fridge as an extra. Location is not the best, but Leeds city centre is about 10 mins walk away
facilities and room size were excellent value for money. Parking just across the road was very handy. a little out of town but as long as your know this it should not be a problem.
The bed was very comfty! And had a lot of appliances The room and cuterly and glasses were dirty, we were up all night with people running around the corridors
I liked having a fully equipped kitchen and we were able to heat and cook our own food The toilets made a loud noise after every flush
home from home and better than staying in a hotel The room was very hot and at times noisy from the people above and from the nearby building work.Air conditioning would help rather than just a fan so I could close the window and keep out the noise!
very omfortable and spacious, amenities were excellent
I absolutely loved the apartment, it was very modern, classy and chic. It was imacculate interms of cleanliness. And the staff at the reception were very polite, friendly and helpful. It was too far a walk from city centre.
Lovely comfortable room plenty of facilities. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Good leisure facilities. Central position near shops and rail station.
Staff on reception were excellent - couldn't be more helpful Standard of breakfast both in terms of service and quality was not what I would have expected for a hotel of this rating.
The friendliness and politeness of all the staff in the hotel. Its central location and excellent breakfast provided/ Nothing.
Leisure facilities, comfortable room, excellent toiletries, good breakfast. Evening meal was fine, but wine list is grossly overpriced!
Excellent location, less than two minute walk to city centre
location the first room we were given had not been cleaned or bedding changed,
The hotels decor, quick friendly service and nice location, tucked away off main street. Also nice relaxed atmosphere with all different "types" of people. The equipment in the gym was looking a bit old and worn
Friendliness of staff
Top class hotel, grt location, food and staff ,and value well done I may find one in the future again not yet, thanks!
A very comfortable room! No noise from corridor or neighbouring rooms. Very good breakfast. Instant help from staff when required. Evening meal menu somewhat restrictive and unimaginative!
Modern, fresh decor, reception staff excellent, Glasses in the bathroom dirty, service at breakfast very slow - almost non existant.
Excellent service from staff who were polite and helpful particularly as our stay did not get off to a good start. Leisure facilities were of a very high standard and the rooms were comfortable and well furnished We booked two rooms unfortunately in one room when the bed was turned down it was to find the bed had not been changed from the previous guest and in fact still had the other persons pyjamas under the pillow. This followed on from being served the wrong food in the restuarant and waiting 45 minutes for our drinks
Leaving Uncomfy bed, noisy room, salty bacon
Good road links.Fresh hotel with good facilities. Friends did not the early morning call they requested. Hooks required to bathroom door for clothes/bathrobe.
clean modern convenience for shopping not well signposted, bed uncomfortable because not locked together correctly
A very nice, clean, comfortable hotel None
I loved the contemporary feel of the Hotel. My room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The reception staff were extremely efficient & welcoming. I brought a colleague back to the Hotel for a 'quiet' drink so that we could discuss the day's work - un-fortunately, there were many, noisy children running around the lounge/reception area
The swimming pool and health club The lack of attention to detail.
lovely hotel...shame about the rumble of traffic from the M62
Polite staff room and hotel clean modern decor upto date with colours. Room had to be rearranged booked twin taken to a double. Time wasted for staff
Bathroom could have been cleaner. One window was broken and couldn't be closed. Room service breakfast was very poor quality.
Good location for our purposes, good layout, nice and roomy hotel, friendly staff Smoke alarm went off twice in middle of night, 4.00am and 5.30 am, should have room cleansing charge for smokers, hotel in Chester has £150 per day room cleansing if smokers smoke in room. No apology offered for inconvenience.
leisure facilities - bar meals i think the quality, choice and style of bar meals is far superior the style and qaulity of the restaurant. Carvery's are very old fashioned
location and leisure facilities
The location of the hotel was excellent for anyone wanting to avoid the horrors of driving in Leeds city centre. The hotel has seen better days and the decor was rather dark and gloomy in the reception and bar areas. The food in the restaurant was good but rather expensive for a three star hotel.
The room (229) was at ground level and quiet. View from our window was pleasant with no buildings in sight. Walks direct from rear of hotel enjoyable. Access into Leeds, if need be, can be made by public transport from just outside the hotel, very convenient. Nothing!
everything was perfect,so relaxing. no
Overpriced bar, you are charged to listen to music in your room, overpriced breakfast that had only a continental option.
I can't decide between the greasy floor in the Bathroom or the dirty curtains. The general state of disrepair was very quaint though and the dysfunctional shower was a source of great amusement. The general smell of the part of the hotel we were put up in wasn't to our liking, I suppose the smell of dead cats is an acquired taste.
The leisure facilities were filthy, very very dirty throughout. I put a complaint to the duty manager who was not proffesional nor did he offer an acceptable response. The general feeling was of disorganisation and apathey. I would not return to this hotel.
position and lack of parking
Really good location we stayed on a hen weekend, only £3 in a taxi to city centre and shoppping, bars and restaurants on it's doorstep.Hotel clean and staff very nice.Good breakfast.
The location was ideal and the rooms were clean. First of all it wasn't explained to us about the extra £90 deposit, i had to ask for more information after over hearing someone else talking about it. The hair dryer didn't heat up properly and our rooms weren't next to each other which you would really expect when making a group booking.
The buffet in the morning was excellent!!! The access to the hotel was very poor.
' 'System' for breakfast could be improved vastly. Queuing 10-15 mins for continental breakfast not great. I think the toast machine was the main source of the problem!
Close to the city centre No car park and very expensive
everything was lovely the staff the, room we really enjoyed it even though i was ill. the parking was something that would put me off coming again especially as i am disabled.
Hotel was pleasant and in a good position to Ledds city centre Breakfast was not stocked up straight away when it ran out, so you had to wait or go without.
Car Parking arrangements
Thought the hotel was in a nice area. Didn't realise there were 2 in the city centre and got taken to the wrong one.
Staff were very pleasant Probably location as too far out of town and charges for taxis were very expensive
The food was of a good standard and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was on the ground floor, it was very noisy with many people banging doors in the early hours. The room was an adjoining room and voices from the other room were easily heard. The cleanliness of the bar and table surfaces were not good.
It was ideally placed for my purposes; dinner was nice and reasonable value and breakfast was nice. I had a cold at the time and wasn't feeling great but I slept fairly well and the people were nice. It was nothing spectacular but there was little to criticse Well you did ask! - There was a hot pipe running vertically throught the wardrobe that made it difficult to control temperature in the room.
the staff and the room service and the room. It was better than I had expected the location.
The buffet breakfast was very good. All staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very jaded with mould on the grouting and rust forming around the bath taps.
Hot water stays hot. Comfy beds,we were a family of three and there were plenty of spare pillows and towels available in the room without having to ask for them, which I often have to when travelling with the family Have used hotel over the last 10-15 years, decor looking a bit faded and unchanged. That they no longer supply biscuits with the tea and coffee facilities, the restaurant closes too early on the weekend
The breakfast buffet was excellent. The rooms were spacious. The staff was incredibly helpful. By far our favorite hotel of our three week stay in the Britains. The fact that there weren't more like it available elsewhere!
Our stay was comfortable and the hotel provided everything we needed. I would say I found the staff friendliness and efficiency the best experience, they were excellent . I think the room was pleasant but the bathroom decor slightly dated and a little bit tired looking.
The hotel looked very grand from the front and did not dissapoint room was very spacious spa facilitys were very good and the gym was also of a high standard Very happy with my stay.
Friendly and helpful staff Bar prices a bit steep
Helpfulness and friendliness of staff. Comfortable lounges, restaurants etc. Generally excellent ambience and surroundings
Scenery and politeness of the staff Stupidly expensive bar, mini bar and room service prices. Very noisy at night as one functions revellers kept singing and banging doors
It seemed very luxurious. Too many faults without any offer of repayment. To have no working PPV tv, a faulty phone, half a room service menu and an already complete breakfast menu is not what I would expect from a hotel of this rating.
Room very clean. Staff were very friendly and food was good. Lovely surroundings and just 15 minutes drive into the centre of Leeds.
Beautiful setting, beautiful building, There were other weddings happening at the hotel which felt a little less special than if the one I was attending had been the only one. No sewing kit in the room for last minute wardrobe disfunctions!
Good location, but only if you are driving. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Nice grounds/gardens. Eating or drinking anything at all will be very expensive. Restaurant food is excellent, but at a price, and certainly not for kids. Ambience of hotel is a bit over-subdued, almost stuffy. So take your partner there, but not the family.
It is a stunning hotel, very grand with fantastic hall-way and dinning rooms. The spa is well worth visiting with a whirl pool, swimming pool, steam-room and sauna. Breakfast is great, buffet style so plenty to chose and eat. The rooms are a little dated and twee, could do with a flat-screen TV and some reading material- Yorkshire toursit magazines etc.
The staff were very courteous
Swimming pool for my daughter to use Dinner is not it's best feature!
Very clean & Tidy
The staff were always helpful, courteous and polite, the room was spotlessly clean and the decor was bright and colourful, the location suited my purpose. none
Restaurant staff were excellent and the meals exceeded our expectations. The room was smaller than a standard Holiday Inn room.
The staff were very helpful, the rooms were very comfortable, well decorated and spotlessly clean. I had early starts but breakfast was to late for me.
The Hotel front desk staff were brilliant, we were running a little late and a little stressed but they let us to check into our room at 11am in the morning to allow us to get to a wedding at another Hotel nearby in Leeds by noon. We got a good price for advance payment. Room was tidy, clean and the bathroom has a really nice shower. Nothing.
Great Staff Good value for money - meal deal Very Hard Bed!
The food was excellent as was the included use of the swimming pool and gym.
My Room needed a revamp it looked in very poor condition with peeling paint on the ceiling the bathroom was dirty with pubic hairs in the bath I was only staying one night if I was staying longer I would have complained Also just as I was going to sleep the fire alarm went off and I spent 30minutes outside with no shoes on in the cold, not a good experience the staff didnt know what to do and were running around and it was a fire officer told us to go back inside while your staff were still trying to take names and room numbers a training issue I think.
it was clean and does what a holiday inn should do - nice rooms, pleasent staff but expensive food! the room we stayed in had a very tired looking bathroom that could have done with a good clean on the tiles
bad choice you need to view room 31 described a junior double room with no access from one side of bed and no second side table poor pillows and no extra supplied room would not pass vetting if opening a new B & B this is a 4star hotel I have written to them .Small room is one thing but this room described as a double suite most misleading that a double room should not have access to bed from both sides as one was right up against the wall - had to climb to get into far side - not good especially if you have to climb over someone in the middle of the night but one aspect Roll over and you hit the wall ....
its always comfortable, easy to park and close to my daughters' university accommodation shower and bathroom a little small.
i likked the hotel, the staff was very nice specially Nazareth at the reception.recommended place for bussiness travel
Room was comfortable and breakfast good I specifically asked for a quiet room but was given what must have been one of the noisiest on that night due to a wedding party. Wedding guests were on a patio area outside the bar just below our second floor window making a horrendous noise (chanting, shouting and singing) until at least 0300. If our room had been the other side of the corridor it would have been fine. We had to keep the windows closed to block out as much of the noise as possible making the room hot and stuffy. If there is a party on it would be sensible to give guests not attending the party rooms away from the bar and party room areas and rooms near those areas to the party goers! Also, the shower in the hotel was inadequate - so scaled up that only a trickle of water came out of it.
the view from the room window.went to relax for the weekend but it was really noisy.
Atmosphere, scenery, presentation of meals + warm Staff breakfast time could be more flexible (extended a little later)
For us it was the proximity to the family that we were visiting It was a bit noisy at night as our room was over the entrance and the hotel was busy with a big wedding. This was inevitable & no fault of the hotels
Nothing - there was nothing outstanding for this hotel Initial room too small for two people, oppressively hot with no thermostat, on opening windows found that the entire frames were covered in black mold. The bath/shower was ripe with mold. the plug in the sink did not fit properly. The TV was far from properly tuned to any channel. The upgrade still had problems and the breakfast was of a poor quality in our experience
This is a pleasant hotel set in wooded grounds in a convenient location on the Otley Road in Leeds. Easily accessed by public transport. There was some noise in the corridor from some other residents late one night.
The room was so small and shower didnt work properly
I was nicely surprised at this hotel. It had had a few bad reviews but I thought it was good. The decor is a little dated ( no flat screen) but always clean, tiday, helpful staff, great pool and amazing breakfast :-) No complaints
Lovely welcome from the staff at check in. Room was clean and in good order, bed was perfect. Bathroom was a good size.
Unwinding and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast prices were extortionate so we chose to eat our breakfast elsewhere.
very helpful and friendly staff the only issue is the parking at the hotel, I feel that this is very poor with narrow spaces and there aren't that many spaces
I liked the pool facilities especially The breakfast was excellent but thought the dinner let the hotel down. IPerhaps in error we chose from the loose leaf sheet menu and the food was not worthy of such an hotel.
Good swimming pool, ample car parking, good restaurant both for breakfast and evening dinner Expensive internet charge
Not alot to be honest. Stay in hotels frequently first time in a Crowne Plaza and was ot impressed with anything. The check in was slow the room was ok but not 4 star. The hotel bedroom corridor smelt of cigarettes. Breakfast poor and so were staff on duty, would stay elsewhere in Leeds in the future and would not recommend hotel to friends.
Very nice clean and comfortable room(405) Excellent breakfast selection. Good that you can virtually guarantee a car parking space. Not many hotels in Leeds City centre can. No
Location, leisure facilities, helpful staff Would have preferred tea in teapots at each table at breakfast
