Location was good. Service was really good, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms were nice and clean and decent sized. Room service was reasonably priced and the food was delicious. Overall, fantastic value, would definitely stay here again. My only issue was that the wi-fi would cut out intermittently, but it was usually resolved quickly. Minor complaint really.
Friendly service- they let us store our luggage before check in time and also after check out since our flight was late at night. Although the room was small , it was clean. Lobby was nice and they had welcome drinks. Room was small, no space for our luggage and no wardrobe to keep our stuff in hangers.
Excellent front desk staff! Very close to Shin-Osaka station. Small room, but if you're travellling in Japan it's just the way things are!
Near to ShinOsaka Station - convenient Room is old
The white robes, cleaning process and very helpful staff . Rooms too small. The fan in the bathroom did work
Location : really close to shin-Osaka, so if you're planning to come and go to Kyoto for example, it's really easy. Not noisy, quiet despite its location. Quite clean rooms (not perfect, but clean enough at least for my standards), internet lan access working (but not really fast). Small room, as usual in Japan, but "large enough" for a 1m 81 guy, as I am (I did not have to lean in the shower, that happens sometimes here). The price is ok. They barely speak english, and seem quite unhappy to see you, no view (my window was on a 1-meter large "street", so I had a splendid view ... on a japanese office). All tv channels in japanese (but I did not encountered yet in Japan an hotel with foreign channels playing). In a word, average. As somebody already posted here, I've tried both Claiton and New Osaka : Claiton's people are speaking english (and are clearly more friendly), it's only a few bucks more, lan is working better and rooms are larger. But you have to take subway to shin-Osaka (one station). So more or less a draw for me, depending on which criteria is the most important for you.
the accessibility, it was very close to the train station both subway and railway. the room was a bit of a squeeze.
Staying in a japanese room! I just love the tatami mats, the sliding doors and simple elegant japanese design. Also I like the japanese bathing facilities. Everything was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. Not all of the lobby staff spoke english, but some surely did, so it is a minor thing I would say.
the quiet evening suburb a little north of osaka city, but easy to get there thru the main rail network.
room is clean, staff are friendly, far from shopping area
Location near subway Only had smoking rooms
the Tatami room was a great experience and really enjoyable. the room was big, well equipped and the location very close to Shin Osaka. My future choice for Osaka
Green tea and bottled water every day available at the room.
I have no complaints about the hotel itself. To me its biggest selling point is its location. Finding the hotel for the first time can be a bit iffy but once I found it and got a good idea of the layout of the city I realized how easy it was to travel anywhere from this slightly secluded and quiet (aside from the often-running above-ground train) location. Plus the hotel provided a handy booklet that described the area, the hotel's amenities, and how to get to Kansai Airport. The Claiton is a polite and professional hotel that I would visit again. The walls are thin. This wouldn't have been a problem if the other people in the hotel were considerate but I was surrounded by high school boys on a sports trip who left their door stops out to keep their doors open for their friends and slammed said doors upon said stops repeatedly at all hours of the night and early morning until, I think, eight, when they left to have fun with their sports. I was there for five nights and for five nights this behavior continued. So to sum up, if you're more proactive than me and don't mind yelling at strange youngsters then the thin walls won't be a problem. If you're unlucky and a misanthrope, like me, then you'll be kept up at night.
Very convenient for subway to travel into city centre. Excellent facilities for short or long stay. Might be noisy as the hotel backs onto the railway line, did not effect our stay.
The hotel is very close to the station or subway line. The staff are very accommodating and they try to best to really help you or assist you. They are friendly and nice. The rooms are a bit small as expected in Japanese hotels but nevertheless, they are clean. They can be a little bit old but I still like it. The exterior still looks modern. It is also very close to convenience stores if you need to buy cheaper goods or food instead of eating at the hotel. Beds may be small especially if you have children with you, so this is something to consider. Overall, I love the hotel and would stay here again if I visit Osaka.
Good value for money, a few subway stops from all the action. Very helpful and friendly staff! Very small rooms, but you get what you pay for in Japan.
The room rate is quite competitive.
Good location as easy access to the various attraction in Osaka. 1. The usage on the internet that located at the hotel lobby. 2. No airport pick up service.
Check-in was hassle free, staff speaks good English, a stone throw away from train station. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good for solo travelers. Some signs on the road would be great since the hotel is not located on the main street. But you can ask the staff at the convenience store for direction just outside the train station. An upgrade of the furniture would be great.
The location of the hotel. It is in 3 min from Subway station Nishikajima-Minamigata (red line) and takes 10 min by metro to the center of the city. And in 3 min from JR Line. Some good restaurant at the opposite side of the JR Line (max. 10 min from the hotel). Breakfast was very poor and it need extra payment for us. The staff not exactly understand what we wanted, and it takes much more time to explain something.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived before check-in time and left the baggage to go to the city, when we returned it had already been brought to our room. Breakfast had only limited choice of japanese/western food, but everything was high-quality (e. g. organic vegetables). 24h convenience store just some 50 meters away. Breakfast was buffet-style, but you could only fill your tablet once, no re-fill, except for rice and miso-soup, and you had to choose before if you wanted western or japanese style breakfast - you were not allowed to mix. Some further remarks (not really negative): Internet firewall prevents use of VPNs or SIP Phone. The entrance for the hotel is via the Shin-Osaka Station Hotel, whose sign facing the street is written in japanese only!
Location Room was very small. The only view was of the railway tracks.
