Very clean and quite. Was a great place to relax and rest. Breakfast hours could be longer. We were trying to get some rest and sleep, not to get up for breakfast.
2 adults 3 teens in 2 queen with hideaway couch room.= Proximity to Carlsbad Caverns good. Not a bad drive from Artisia if you have business there. Plentiful and good Breakfast. Hot tub was nice and clean. rooms were large and clean with extra room for stuff. Hideaway couch bed was very nice and comfortable. many restaurants in area. Had the feel and smell of a new home. always a short wait at the elevators. good selection of TV channels. My room overlooked the parking area and I was able to keep an eye on my vehicle. Price was a little high, but it was spring break and a lot of vacationers in area. We tried to get this hotel cheaper on a few other Apps but the hotel held firm on its cost. most likely due to the season and had no need to offer lower bargain hunter prices. parking was a little tight. OK for cars and pickups but if you have an RV or trailer keep looking.
Very clean, nice bedding
Nice layout, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good breakfast, priced right, etc No ice machine on 2nd floor
location size of room breakfast
Ice machine in the second floor was broken. Went to do laundry, which is an advertised service of the hotel, but was told at the front desk that they had no change and we'd have to try going to the gas station down the street. Returned to our room in the evening after day 1 of our stay to discover that our room had not been cleaned. It was early evening - about 5 pm - but the person at the front desk (a different one from above) said that housekeeping claimed to have cleaned the room and the only things they could do for us were to give us fresh towels or move us to a different room. A complaint to the general manager of the hotel got a similar response. If the hotel is unable or unwilling to perform even the most basic services of a hotel, why bother staying there? There are a lot of options of hotels in the Carlsbad area. Choose any of the others over Sleep Inn.
Staff was friendly and really helpful I enjoyed my stay will come back and stay here
28 Mi from Carlsbad Caverns and cheaper than most. A/C controls did not work ---room too cold Old Motel that seems to have been cheaply repaired/updated Tub Shower diverter coming out of wall unusable wall plugs ---painted over no in room coffee
The rooms were clean and modern and the price was right. The beds were a little too hard for my taste. The rooms were pretty small and cramped.
No clock and no hair dryer
The hotel was OK. The hotel was more for people passing through. Next door was building a new structure. They were make notice really early. It was loud really early.
Our room was newly renovated with with what looked like fresh paint, decent TV, a mini fridge, and a microwave. At the edge of the city so it is only 30mins from Carlsbad caverns and close to God restaurants. My main complaint was the spotty WiFi. During peak hours it struggled to load an image, and late at night I could only watch a video on YouTube at 244p quality. It wasn't uncommon for the internet to stop working for several minutes at a time.
Room was clean, Queen bed was just right, TV had plenty of channels Would prefer a shower only over a tub with shower, low water pressure
The bed was not very comfortable
It had a fridge and microwave and was within 30 minutes of Carlsbad caverns. I think the sheets were cleaned, but that's about it. It seems like everything else in town is double the price, but you would think that for paying over a $100 / night, things would be cleaner. The breakfast is a joke. Coffee, Cheap OJ and Cereal. There are empty beer bottles all around the property. It seems like there is only 1 person there and he is level of effort is minimal, and it shows.
location the staff and the breakfast
They have a very friendly staff. The beds where to stiff, not enough bedding, the a/c- heater didn't work to my satisfaction. The shower head was way to low and I had to crouch down for the water to hit my head!
the price and it is close to the caverns. New big screen tv and cable. Walmart close by and several places to eat. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The maid came knocking at the door at 6 am. The man that runs the front desk is rude over the phone but polite in person. Adult only because there were many guests smoking and drinking on the balcony at night. Pillows were flat and we had to go buy a new one from a near by walmart.
There was nothing great about the hotel. Everything was normal. Nothing stuff out. There was a funky smell in the hotel. They over charged me $310 and said they would give me a discount the next time I stayed.
I have never stayed in the Super 8 that has been this disgusting, the ceiling in the bathroom was falling in there was black mold all over the shower and bathroom, there was a s*** in the toilet, there was food wrappers in all the drawers, there were stains all over the bed spread sheets blankets pillows, the pictures are nothing like what it is. The staff was amazing though they got everything I needed and everything I wanted when I wanted it. I've stayed in the Carlsbad Days Inn many times when I travel there to visit aging family. I've always had a pleasant stay and the staff has always been very polite and eager to please. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and we enjoy the breakfast. I know that the prices in Carlsbad are pretty expensive because of all the growth and the oil boom. I'm sure that all the hotels stay within a certain price range, but it gets harder to find a hotel I can afford every time I travel to Carlsbad since I'm on a fixed income. Kayak has always given me affordable prices with no hidden charges.
Relatively clean. Very expensive for the quality. Had just cleaned carpets and furniture and everything was still wet.
Location Breakfast Breakfast Area congested. By making reservation on internet, couldn't get AARP or Military discount. This my biggest complaint.
The hotel is the newest one in town, so everything was clean and new. Carlsbad is a small town so the location is close to everything. The couple of days I stayed I was up at 8 in the morning and the breakfast items were not replenished so the selection was as good.
They could not add my hotel stay to LQ Returns and it is difficult to access new membership

The hotel went out of its way to try to meet my needs even though the room that Priceline sold me was unavailable. Nothing
We had a late check in. The man at the desk was friendly and helpful even though it was 1:00 AM. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was really bad. There were lots of choices, but nothing was good.
The entrance was really pretty. Yes the hotel room was VERY dirty. Carpet stained, bedsheets dirty and stained.
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is pretty sketchy and was informed upon check in that there was no security in the parking lot and that cars are frequently broken into.

room was clean and pool was nice I was treated poorly because I had used priceline.
Great breakfast, internet was fast, comfortable bed. The first night our air conditioner was broken and kept us up all night. The staff moved us and the rest of the stay was excellent.
Great location Staff seemed mostly disinterested
Nothing remarkable. Meh. The price was ridiculous (more than $300 with fees) and they put us on the first floor by a noisy family. We went here because everything else was sold out.
nice hotel to much money for the room and area over looked a parking lot with stores. children in the pool area without adult present running and scream jumping in and out of pool unable to use pool. Don't mind paying money for a good area.
There was no place to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The pool and spa areas were closed for cleaning during the morning/midday, so we did not get a chance to get any water exercise. Seems like maybe they should clean those areas after hours?
Manager let me cancel second night Location, room, tacky check in, the worst value, swimming pool empty. Don't stay in carlsbad. I heard they are gouging because of high demand due to drilLing or minerals etc. I am two weeks into a road trip and the other motels in other cities were infinetly better for less than half the price. terriblet experience after a 9 hour drive.
About the lowest price available in town old worn room. noisy
I had a nice stay, nothing stands out.
It was the best value in town and it was close to local restaurants. From there, we went on to Carlsbad Caverns. I didn't like the extra charge for a room with two beds. The billboard pricing was misleading.
Our door was all smashed in as if someone kicked it in. The main switch for lights didn't work. Bathroom door wouldn't close.
The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very responsive to any issue that came up. The internet wasn't always reliable.
Old village housing It was ok without wifi and Internet My target was caves,so two days we stay and lives in style Shower was terrible.Very slow!waters dropped like 25 droppes in minutes it's take 2 hours per shower Will recommend my enemies only
The trailer was fairly new with old appliances. The gal at the front desk was apologetic and understanding when we asked for a refund. I got there, spent 20 minutes looking for the place with no signs or labels, realizing that these were evidence that this place was not proud of itself. We had to be driven to the room, which was a trailer sandwiched closely between other trailers with long term inhabitants. We walked through piles of garbage and beercans, past four young tattooed men cat-calling my fiancé, and into a room that attempted charm. There was no hand soap or coffee for the coffee-maker. Thinking it was a short night, I opted to shower after which I found small cockroaches on the shower curtain. I made sure we kept ourselves covered because the door had windows without curtains that the drunken buffoons could peer through. I pulled back the comforter on the bed and found multiple dark-brown stains on the white sheets. We immediately packed our things and left.
