Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful room! At least 2 ice machines were not operational.
Great people! Helpful and personal service. We requested a river view room (def worth the extra $$!) and were surprised with an amazing corner room with the greatest views! This location is better than staying up in the Mag Mile area if you plan on seeing the sights. Short walk to Millenium Park, Art Institute, and the L. And you are right at the base of the Mag Mile. Loved being on the river more than I can say! The room was clean and comfy, not a five star hotel but a very acceptable four star. The restaurant/bar is not wonderful, but we don't go to Chicago to eat in the hotel. The shower had one of those fancy yet totally impractical giant shower heads that comes down from the center of the ceiling. A trend that needs to go away.
Loved the view from our room. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Some of the bellhop men could be more friendly but besides that it was a very amazing stay for our family!
Everything... not the room i asked for... was lied too. telling me things would be the same and werent... not even close. will not use again.
We loved the location, the room and the view- just didn't like being next to the elevator. Other than that- it was great!!
It was nice and in a great location They gave me a single king room with no view but I payed for a double queen with a view and even paid extra for a view room and then just gave us a free meal that sucked
I stayed here for business and also leisure. I chose this hotel based off of location and it was perfectly placed near all of the great tourism spots in the city. I walked everywhere all weekend, which is a great way to burn off all the delicious food Chicago has to offer. The view from the room of the city and the Chicago river is spectacular. The hotel staff was extremely nice, accommodating and the rooms were very clean. The parking fee to keep your car there during your stay is astronomical. We received a note card saying we get a "free gift" for staying there in our room the first morning we were there. When we turned it in, it was a free vacation only if you were over 28 and married and your spouse was staying with you, which I didn't qualify for as my spouse was at home. Because of that, I received one drink with an appetizer purchase (so not a free gift if you have to buy something ) at the hotel resturant. I think gimmicks like this are insulting and a waste of the guests time.
staff super professional and freindly location is great rooms are great price to valet parking "free" WIFI in rooms, weak
I loved that we had a mini sofa in our room. I would have liked a mirror outside of the bathroom - 4 people had to share one mirror for hair, makeup etc.
Wedding with loud DJ two floors above us kept us up one night. We called the desk and they seemed like they couldnt have cared less about our concern
Great last minute room rate. Odors in lobby and hallway. Exhaust problems from kitchen.
One of the better exercise areas I've seen in a hotel. A shop downstairs for incidentals (especially water) would be nice, instead of having to walk to the nearby Seven Eleven.
Bed was to soft pillows
Location was great. Staff was nice. Workout facility adequate. The BIG bar and the common spaces were really neat. no convienent way to have towels replaced. You had to call housekeeping. Also the sink was small, no place to leave personal items on sink. Couldn't use the refrigerator because it was rigged to charge you for minibar items.
Easy walk to many restaurant, sites and public transportation.
Massive hotel. too big. very unpersonal. conference hotel and for group travel.
From check in to check out, our stay at the Hyatt Regency was a superb experience. The staff was genuinely hospitable, and the entire facility was luxurious. The premium view is worth the extra $$$, as we had a breathtaking view of the river and lakefront. Definitely recommend. It was pricey, but definitely worth it. I really can't say anything else that was undesirable, as our stay was basically perfect.
almost everything $65 for parking at their hotel. too much for guest
Centrally located and accessible to tourist attractions. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Value priced.
I enjoyed my stay. No recommendations for improvement T this time
Very clean comfortable room with a great view. Close to many areas we wanted to visit. Would definitely choose this hotel again.
Overall good stay here, the lobby is great with friendly front desk staff and the Big Bar is pretty cool to grab a couple drinks. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The bell hop that helped us with our bags was extremely rude and not helpful. Also the bartender we had was not very pleasant.
Check in was busy but efficient Because it was our 10th wedding anniversary I called to have a bottle of proseco waiting for us in the room. I was told they didn't have proseco but it was listed in the menu. The walls are paper thin. So much so not only could I hear the guy next door but I could also hear the person he was talking to on the phone. came downstairs to get my car from the valet and was told it would take 20 minutes. No one said anything when I checked in and there were no instructions that allowed you to call ahead from your room. Bathroom floor was sticky. Overall, the worse hotel visit.
Stora fina rum. Utmärkt läge mitt i The Loop. Ingen frukost på hotellet (men det fanns frukostrestauranger alldeles intill).
Bra läge, trevlig personal mycket prisvärt hotel, passar lika bra för week end som för arbete.
Gratis rent kylt vatten. Kaffe/te-kokare på rummet.
Perfekt läge och parkering precis brevid entren. Litet rum för att vara USA men väldigt fräsht och rent
Very caring/warm/genuine staff. Outstanding view of park from room. Great breakfast in room and "rainfall" showerheads were very relaxing. A bit away from the shopping but they have a Bentley to help with transport. Could not secure a late check-out but hotel was fully booked so this was understandable.
large suite good for family Location far from restaurants, other popular spots. Shower drain did not work and overflowed requiring multiple staff visits. Long waits for elevators. Room adjacent to elevator. Not generally up to character of other Fairmont hotels.
Large room; very clean; excellent location Lack of countertop space in bathroom
A beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The best service I have ever experienced in a hotel. The room was large and beautiful. Excellent beds - I slept really well. Overall a great experience!
The fancy coffe pot in the room. Just simply give me a Mr. Coffe machine that is a no brainer. We also stayed in the room when we had to switch the clocks back. No way, no how could we figure out how to move the time back one hour. Stupid things, but iratating.
Breakfast no flexibility, no helpful staff
Great service and attention to detail. Very guest oriented and helpful. $50 for overnight parking.
Nära till flera sevärdheter, mycket inom gångavstånd.
centralt beläget med gångavstånd till shopping , restauranger , sevärdheter
Location, interior design, amenities
I hosted a meeting while I was there and their banquet staff was exceptional! They were able to make changes last minute. If they didn't know the answer to a question they found out for me. They were always smiling and always on top of every detail without my asking. The side chair & mattress were a little harder than I prefer.
The room was great and the amenities were awesome. Great location, only a few minutes from Michigan Ave and Millenium Park. It would be hard to return to Chicago and stay anywhere else!
Beautiful hotel all around. Incredible pool deck, one of the best I've seen, Upscale, and very clean. The noise from fire station nearby meant that we had to keep the balcony door closed and so it was a waste to pay the extra money for a balcony you can't enjoy. Very expensive parking.
room was excellent - very comfortable bed restaurant was nothing special - for location of the hotel it was poorly situated and did not take advantage of this location and offer a view of the park or of the lake
Room was amazing. Facilities (pool, fitness & game room) were phenominal
The staff were EXCELLENT! I was there for a small event and Dominic took perfect care of us. Loved my stay!
Modern room, loved the shower.. Found the room servicw menu limited, very few items.
Its just 18 floors
Loved the view of the city from our balcony. Also, the rain shower was great! It was the perfect location to all the tourist attractions of the city. Would definitely stay here again! The cost of parking was a bit overpriced.
Cool looking. Hotel corridors unique in a good way. Room comfortable. Balcony nice but should have bad small chairs. Bar uncomfortable and staff had stiff personalities. Facilty confusing.
Booked through kayak the day of to arrive and no record of my booking at hotel. Card was swiped twice, so I had to wait past my stay for the authorization to fall off for the $700 charge. It was a messy situation and one that shouldn't happen while I am taking a break.
It was an easy check in. The front desk staff offered city maps and directions to nearby attractions. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was a good quality. The shower was nice and big. The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety which was good for people with different diets. The room was a little on the small side but I was comfortable enough in it. The bathroom did not have a vent so the mirrors got fogged up after a shower. Definitely not a deal breaker. The parking was pricey for valet but you can get your car and bring it back if you want to leave to do something.
Fantastic staff. Super clean and updated while maintaining the building's historical identity.
Nice staff No black out curtains. Heating system in room took a long time to kick in and warm up the room. Carpet smelled like feet. Room was TINY.
Brand new, super close to the loop, totally worth it and most definitely will stay there again! Don't expect amazing Chicago views
Each room has a mini fridge and microwave. Business center with Internet access and printer available. Beds were comfy and clean. Located near cta train and buses. Convenience stores and restaurants very close by. Would have loved to have cheaper breakfast options available at the hotel and complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby. Dining area in the lobby is convenient but very expensive.
Value for price, very clean, exceptionally friendly staff Daily parking rates were quite expensive.
My boyfriend and I decided to have a fancy night out and found a great deal for Virgin Hotels Chicago. It was for only one night but we wished it could have been a week! Everything was amazing. Check-in and check-out service was fast, easy, and staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Our room was gorgeous, most amazing bed we've ever slept on! Overall, Virgin Hotels had an amazing vibe to it, very hip and fancy. Absolutely recommend!!! That we didn't get to stay longer!
GREAT design, beautiful art, comfortable, clean, easy and has a personality. Also, mini bar is reasonably priced, which really says a lot. Also, the process to get in and get out was so simple and efficient, I'll be staying there the next time I head back to Chicago.
layout, amenities, bed
We had to wait 90 mins to be checked into our room. We also had to ask twice to have our room made up even though we had the service light on.
Brilliant, well thought out design elements made our chamber a pleasure to stay in. Separated dressing room/washroom allowed myself to get ready in the morning while my fiancé grabbed a few extra minutes of sleep in peace. Additionally the staff was very helpful, informative at check-in, and incredibly friendly. Also the Hosted Social Hour is an absolute must do! There wasn't anything major to complain about here. My fiancé felt the complimentary toiletries could have been more femanine scented (or at least a tad more gender neutral) and our server at the dinner in the lobby was slow and forgot a third of our order (to her credit however, she recovered well when the mistake was pointed out).
The city is amazing and being able to come back to a great place to rest makes a big difference between a good trip and an awesome trip. The staff was incredibly polite, and the customer service at this place is above and beyond.
Staff were horrendously unhelpful on more than one occasion
Everything was perfect. Amazing views of the river. Only open a month.
My son and I had a great stay at London House! It is located perfectly and is within walking distance or a short Uber ride of Navy Pier, Millenium Park, OTC. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff was friendly! We tried to eat at the hotel restaurant to avoid going out in a storm. The restaurant is more of a bar setting and the menu is not family friendly. Needless to say we braved the storm, got soaked! Great memory! Lots of good places to eat around the hotel.
Location, design, service. Soundproofing could be better, for something so new, too many items weren't working.
