Perfekt läge centralt i Chicago. Snabb och trevlig personal. Små rum men tillräckligt stora
God frukost!
Elevator was an issue. Very small for the size hotel.
Really wonderful employees that made us feel welcomed and comfortable. They were very accommodating and polite.
Very clean. Microwave and fridge nice to have. Close to shopping and navy pier Self park was really valet parking down the street.
This is a Kayak review- not a hotel review. I booked my travel a week in advance and with 2 days notice I received a call that I no longer had a reservation and there was nothing that could be done. It left me scrambling to find a room and I had to pay 40% more than expected because I never really had a reservation. Will never use Kayak again.
Great location and value...staff was fantastic, reacted to every need we had with a positive attitude and were very timely. nothing...we don't spend a lot of time in a hotel when we travel...met our needs perfectly
Very nice updates to room and bathroom. Comfortable bedding, drumBAR on the 18th floor, and great location. Room was extremely hot and the temp could not be adjusted. The room was also very small but worked for our 1 night stay.
Great location with a nice hotel design. The drum bar and the bakery were nice perks. Its an older building and that is very obvious. The AC is questionable, the elevators are small and take quite a while, and if you want normal pillows you need to request them.
Great location just off the Magnificent Mile easy to get to just with everything you might need to downtown. When was nice but needed a few small maintenance items repaired other than that it was a great place to stay.
The location is excellent for whatever activity of interest in downtown Chicago. Attentive and courtesy staff
Hotel was clean and staff was exceptionally friendly. Doorman was extremely helpful. Donut shop downstairs was delicious and convenient. The location was decent if you're willing to walk about a mile to anything you'd like to see. Room was a little small and elevator was extremely small preventing us from getting our stroller in if anyone else was in the elevator.
Can't say a thing. I travel quite a bit every year and stay in dozens of hotels. I must say this was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had. I would never suggest this place to anyone.
Great location across from Saks and neiman marcus. Hotel gorgeous, bright, elegant in public areas, very comfortable and luxurious room and bathroom
Really enjoyed how friendly everyone was towards us especially since we were a young couple there and the staff told us good morning and everything each day and always had a smile on their face I can't really say I didn't like anything about the hotel or service. The only thing was it was a little expensive for us. Other than that everything was excellent
I would guess that most people who gave this place a positive review have never stayed at trump. For the same price trump offers a vastly better experience and much more comfort. The gym and spa at trump make this place look like a spa from rural Cambodia. Rooms were an ever so slightly better version of the Conrad. No pillow menu. No glacier water. No espresso machine in room. No microwave or stovetop with dishwasher( all present at trump). And no cake with gold leaf on it for my birthday!!!
I've stayed at several nice hotels in Chicago and this is by far my favorite. Very comfortable, tastefully decorated, incredible A-V/home automation controls. This was the perfect home-base for a multi-day business trip. The atrium also had a splendid Sunday brunch with string quartet. Couldn't be better
Beautiful room. Inpecable service
EVERYTHING, THE SERVICE WAS THE BEST AND THE BATHROOMS LARGE AND BEAUTIFULLY DONE. NICE TOUCHES EVERYWHERE! NOTHING
Beautiful hotel, very enjoyable. Neither Booking com nor the hotel warned us that a change in the reservation, leaving a night earlier, would result in an increase in the quoted daily rate. We were only told that cancellation was required 24 hours in advance without penalty.
I liked the location of the hotel, and also enjoyed the updated decor of the hotel. The bedding was excellent! Very important to me.... it was clean and luxurious. The bath rooms also were in excellent condition. It did meet my standards. (Extremely picky) I did not like that we had to go to the 12th floor to get to reception.
Fabulous service, fabulous food, fabulous room. I can't recommed this hotel highly enough!!
It was an elegant, comfortable weekend at one of the best hotels anywhere. Nothing
I took my 5 year old to see Chicago. I love the quiet of the hotel. The staff was great. You get what you pay for.
Good location The shower had NEVER be cleaned thoroughly.

Honestly the Bellmen and Front Desk were so SUPER Nice ... I would stay again just for them
Great location. Staff were very professional an vey nice. Whats up with the window that opens into the bathroom/toilet. I have seen this lately in many of the upper class hotels. I don't like it.
The location was great! Most everything other than location was a disappointment. The staff was snotty and dismissive, asked 4 times for a roll away, requested towels and a blanket that never arrived, restaurant waiter was rude, security person extremely rude. Very disappointed
Location Rooms and beds were spectacular Staff friendly NoMi terrace was fantastic
Gorgeous room, perfect location. No.

Location and spacious room. Nice bathroom. Staff missed requested turn down room times.
I arrived 2am and there was no reservation and the company never told me there was a problem with my card. Spend until 4am getting another reservation for next day and then arrived and there was no reservation again. They ruined my entire business trip. had to spend half day looking for another hotel. The first night Marriott accommodated me in a room that was not what I expected. At least had a place to sleep. They were kind and very helpful, but the room I got was not what I expected. But It wasn't hotel's fault was getaroom.com fault.
Please get Keurig coffee pots in each room
It is such a big hotel I found it chaotic especially with several different events going on. Crowds of people, lots of noise. Just too big a apace for me!
Everything!!!! Cost of parking.
Great location, great staff No fridge or microwave
Great newly updated rooms and incredible gym that puts many Health Clubs to shame. Room Svc leaves a bit to be desired but luckily they're located in great proximity to many great restaurants.
Location Old, small rooms, poor plumbing. It's an embarrassment for Marriot. Don't stay here
The best part is that the Merriot is in the "heart of the city". Offsite parking.
This hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a stay in Downtown Chicago. Imposing structure, bustling atmosphere, and lofty prices. The central location couldn't be beat and the view provides you a look at the city no matter which direction you face. Room was clean and modern. After some initial difficulties, a new room was provided and sorted out with a credit to be used with breakfast (delicious breakfast, but expect to be charged the Chicago price for it). The price for staying directly on the Magnificent Mile shouldn't be surprising. The lobby was constantly occupied and persistently loud, which also is indicative of a stay in Chicago. The initial room assignment seemed to belong to another individual as there appeared to be clothing in the closet and a suitcase laid out when the door upon a very brief inspection from the cracked door. After informing the front desk, a new room was quickly assigned...but only one of the two keys ended up working. After our final trip to the front desk, we were in better shape and the breakfast the next day was delicious. The room was by no means spacious, but exactly in what you'd expect from Chicago standards. Don't forget you'll be paying for parking, which is at least simplified by the ability to charge to your room.
Location and decent sized, clean rooms. We booked day of stay and got a good rate. I would actually rate it a 3.5, but I didn't have that option. Extremely uncomfortable, stiff sheets.
Location , location and location Extremely crowded and very noisy ( possibly because NHL draft weekend) - it was almost like a busy fish market with so many people crammed in the lobby.. we had hard time navigating through the crowd to reach elevators on both days. Parking is another pain we had to deal with - primarily because of location . Amenities in the room are nothing to boast - but very comfortable bed ( typical Marriott) ...
Full size mattresses sold as queen size
The art collection was great. The noise traveled into the rooms from the hallways. It was very easy to hear my neighbors going in & out of their rooms in the morning.
Such a great visit. Welcome, helpful staff willing to do whatever they could to make my stay great. Room was very comfortable, loved the bed!
Friendly staff. Great rooms
friendly and convenient ,
I really loved/liked and grateful we were able to check in early when we arrived early in the morning after our flight. I think it's well worth it especially because we were staying only one night. For my taste, I liked the contemporary classy decor and atmosphere. The atmosphere in our room felt romantic. The king size bed and the comfort of the bed and linen was awesome for my taste. I especially liked the room my friends were staying in. They had a little movie projector room. We paid the same price but they were staying there a little bit longer than we were. But I did like their room. Staff was very friendly and informative when asked about recommendations of transportation and location of places nearby. Me personally, and just my opinion, we weren't too fond of the shampoo/conditioner and body wash scents.
Loved that we could pop in and out of shops and bars and be close enough to our room to drop of bags. I didn't like the parking fee and noticed it was overpriced compared to other lots in the area. The hotel should include this or offer a discount.
The location of the James is ideal for visiting the River North area. The room is clean, reasonable size, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even on the 17th floor, there was a lot of street noise. We could even hear the saxophone player at the corner of Rush and Ohio! We also had a charge for the room honor bar that was added to our bill even though we did not use it. Watch your receipts!
The location is great. Just a block off of Mag Mile if you are there to shop. Trader Joe's across the street if you want to buy snacks/water for the room. Close/walkable to downtown (Loop) and River North neighborhoods. The staff was great and my wife loved the bathroom products (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) THIS HOTEL IS NOT 5 STAR. Kayak has it listed as 5 star and it is not. Closets are very small...only a couple of feet wide. Not a lot of drawer space. If traveling on business, not easy to work in room.
we were delightfully surprised to find that the hotel had a free "shuttle" when we were headed out for dinner. It really wasn't a shuttle …. more like a very nice, well dressed young man driving a nice sedan to our location. A great touch! The doorman was awesome as well. Very personable, approachable, and helpful.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Omni with are 1 year old twins. The staff was more than accommodating. Everything from gift bags for the girls to bringing up a microwave and refrigerator. We will be back!
Location, personnel, accommodations. Welcoming and relaxing.
Beautiful hotel, great location. Very pleased with our stay. And very close to the red line.
Really enjoyed the stay here, very comfortable and a great location for the price. I needed to make a last minute update to stay a few more nights as my travel was cancelled due to weather. The employees were extremely helpful in letting me keep the same room and at the same rate. Stayed on the same floor as the pool, so some noisy kids were expected
Location is great. Staff helpful.
Concierge, door men excellent. Paying for with fi? Really...at these prices? Terrible. $10.00 to use 15 min. Had no idea. Showed up on statement. Housekeeping fine first night but 2nd night left our duvets on floor and when we called to report they actually asked what we would like them to do about it. After telling them we wanted some new duvets a maid came and complied. Next day we returned to find all of our pillows with shams gone...not a functional problem since we still had pillows to sleep on but since they are part of the decor we weren't sure what that was all about. They were on the bed when we left that morning. Overall the room was quiet but I think we could do better next time. Hotel being renovated so maybe the reno rooms will blow you away...ours did not. Other than housekeeping staff the rest of staff was helpful but could have been more accommodating when we missed a night of our reservation due to being snowed in at airport in philly and unable to get there. If they couldn't refund a night of our pre paid room we thought we might have recd a complimentary night in future. They told us to ask price line about that but price line pushed it back to them...
I have been a Marriott guy for some time and had the opportunity to stay at an Omni Hotel in Dallas and decided to give it another try in Chicago because my Dallas experience was so good. They are a true class act! Nothing!
Free gym, pool and jacuzzi use. Three free cups of coffee and tea. Great staff. King size bed was awesome and the room was really nice No free WiFi in room, just lounge area. Pool and jacuzzi were closed, which was a real disappointment since it was one of the major reasons why I chose the hotel. My view wasn't great but I understand it's kind of a thing that's out of my control.
The people at Wyndham were so helpful making sure everything was perfect for us! No.
Brenda served us for breakfast most days. She was a the best. Always attentive friendly. Took care of us well. Our last day we had a different waitress and our order wasn't right, we couldn't get her attention and had to get a manager in order to get our check. When you go for breakfast in the fabulous restaurant, ask for Brenda. Loved the green drink with Apple, spinach and ginger. It was really good.
The staff was very helpful and freindly. The room was clean and very nice located near a lot of shopping. Our stay was very enjoyable and we will stay here again soon.
I liked it all
The hotel was nice overall but a few experiences totally ruined our trip. First off, it's the middle of the summer and the air conditioning in our room wasn't working. So we had to sleep in an 80 degree room. Next we found a massive blood stain on the comforter that someone tried to wash but it never came out. Absolutely disgusting! There was also mild in the shower which again goes to show the rooms are NOT clean. There was also very little lighting in the room and most did not even work. For over $300 a night do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
The air conditioning. Our room was not ready at check-in. The bed skirt was torn and stained. The in-room movie played very poorly. The staff was unfriendly.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Courteous and friendly staff. Location is excellent for shopping. I definitely would return to stay again.
The rooms were very clean, as was the gym. The location is within a short walk of most anything you'd might like to experience on a short trip to Chicago and yet the hotel is on a side street that keeps the nights stay quiet. Here's the thing: The Hyatt hotel is immaculately clean, provides comfortable bedding, has a large, clean Gym, and is near most of the things that I would want to do in a short period of time in Chicago... So why two? Because these are the things that any hotel should have. Saying these things are a perk of the Hyatt is like saying or Raven has the perk of being especially black- it's a raven, of course it's feathers are black- The problem here is that the photography and the advertising of the hotel makes it appear to be something that it is not: it is not a stunning luxury property. It does not have an incredibly intuitive and beyond accommodating staff, and it is not a property that includes the kind of accommodations that I'd expected when I had originally booked my stay. More on par with a comfort inn, or Marriott courtyard, then a main-name property such as JW Marriott, Hilton, or Westin, this "Hyatt" seemed bare-bones and disorganized. Two rather slow elevator trips separate you from any convenience of entrance and exit- The room was not ready when I arrived and the option suggested to me in compensation was a larger suite that featured less beds then I requested and came at an additional cost, as that was my fault my room was not ready, and as if if I would prefer to pay more for something that offered less than what I had asked for. At any class hotel, I wouldn't have been upgraded, and I would have been upgraded at cost to the property. The bathrooms, while clean, were adorned with showerheads that looked like they had been purchased in a 1986 apartment building resale auction and worked about as well as an exposed drain pipe I once showered beneath in Thailand. Parking is a full $24 per day more expensive than the majority of the garages around the area, which for the life of me I can't understand why, and the valets took nearly 15 minutes more than they had suggested to retrieve my car when requested, and did so in such a manner that the majority of things I keep in my trunk had shifted- and believe me for someone who drives as aggressively as I do without cause for such an occurrence- this can only lead me to believe that the valets thought perhaps they were in a stock car race. overall, it's not so much that I dislike to my stay at the Hyatt- it's that being in Chicago native company, and a highly rated hotel, with a main branch name, I genuinely expected to be walking into a situation that was just one star more professional than what I received- and the Accumulation of one experience after the other constantly coming in just slightly less than what it should have been found me leaving the hotel with a fairly negative taste in my mouth, not for the stay that I received, but for the complete and underwhelming lack of what I had expected. My suggestion- if you were going to stay 20 minutes outside the city at some discount hotel, this place is better. But if you want the downtown Chicago experience, don't even look in this direction
Service was amazing. Location was awesome!
Close to shops at magnificent mile Pool was small and not kid friendly. A 16oz pop was $4 plus tax at hotel store
The location was within walking distance to Everything. The hotel was very comfortable.
Excellent location right next to shopping on Michigan Ave. Many great restaurants are walking distance. Nice view in the heart of downtown. Great affordable rates. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Our 2 year old daughter was giving hugs to the front desk associates when we would leave. Highly recommended!!! No pool. Breakfast was not included and breakfast buffet was 14.99 per person.
The staff from the front door staff set the tone of excellence and was carried by all staff of this wonderful hotel! Excellent value and perfect location....will be back!
Good size for the price. Great king sized bed, good views even on the fourth floor. Cafe/bar was great - very good coffee. Location is perfect. Right next to Michigan avenue. The revolving door is a little heavy.
The service was great and the roof top bar was also pretty wonderful. I had no problems with this hotel at all, I enjoyed my stay all around.
The hospitality staff were incredible! Provided my sister and I with great information, scheduled us for a cruise that was truly informative, and obtained a dinner reservation on short notice. I can't say enough about how helpful and welcoming they were.
The room was great! Much bigger than we expected, and had a nice sitting room and desk area in addition to the (very comfortable!) bed. Neat rooftop lounge, great place to go grab a drink and enjoy the view. Staff was very friendly, and you absolutely can't beat the location. My only complaint is that there were a lot of issues with the elevators being broken the last couple days. Usually at least one was functional, but with a lot of traffic flowing up to the rooftop bar that wasn't quite enough, and it's not fun taking the stairs to the higher floors!
Lobby is nice. Rooms are nice. Parking right across the street at the hospital. Location is great for shopping.
I've stayed here multiple times over the last few years, and the last couple visits have been mediocre. Check-in has taken too long, staff has been cold and sometimes borderline rude, and the rooms seem to be in an increasing level of disrepair. I think this might have been my last stay at MileNorth. Bummer because the location is great for my typical visits. Check-in. Rude-ish staff. Rooms need maintenance.
Almost everything was pretty great Carpet was a little off putting
The bed was comfortable This hotel is in serious need of remodeling! There is signage (28th floor near the elevator) with blended jagged edges. The filers in the room need to be cleaned. The bathtubs have caulking with gaping holes everywhere and the carpet needs cleaning. There are layers of cobwebs all over the windows and in the business area of the room.
The location was excellent. Right off of Michigan Ave. The beds were comfortable. The hotel needs some updates. The only thing that made it 'Hip and trendy" was the decor. We could see the light from the hallway shining through into our room because the gaps between the walls and the door was ridiculous. It was a built in night light. No information about the hotel was in the room either. Didn't know who to call or where to get anything. Glad we didn't pay more than what we did. And by the way, the tacky, shiny, red wall paper in the bathroom was terrible. =]
Great, spacious hotel room. Very clean. The TV did not work.
Fantastic location, and the staff is very friendly. It's gotten quite shabby.
The staff members were very friendly, helpful and professional. The building is in a great location!
Had a meeting at Ditka's. Great staff, comfortable room, quiet. Great location. Enjoyed Ditka's radio show too!
It was so comfortable! And the staff did all they could to make it more so. We arrived at 6 AM after driving through a storm. They found a room for us right away so that we were able to test before our meeting. The concierge was available evenings and weekends, and was able to advise us about the best way to use our time. Nothing
The 'free' wifi was only free in the lobby. Otherwise the stay was excellent and the location can't be beat!
Great location, but the whole is a little worn out.
My overall stay was great!
Had some water in one area of the carpet next to the bed. Not sure how it got there
Nothing I've never stayed at some hotels like this!! No warm water for shower!! We reported the problem to front desk, and they said they would fix it, if not, they can change room for us. After we got back to hotel at night, they told us it's fixed. When I turned on the water, it was too cold to take a shower!!! And they even told us we cannot change room because all rooms were full! That's ridiculous. Definitely don't book this hotel.
The best I would say is, great location, nice staff and nice bed. Spoiler alert. Don't read this if you got a great rate and don't want to be persuaded not to stay. It's an old building. What Tremont really needs to do is spend a lot of money and gut out old plumbing etc. New carpet and a nice bed doesn't, a nice room, make. They really tried to help us but when you come in to a room, the toilet and sink need to work. People really demand this of the hotel they stay at and on the third attempt to make the toilet work properly they switched our room. Our travel companion's a/c wasn't working either. The place doesn't need to look Ritz, but it does need to function. Sorry Tremont, I think you intend to do right by your customers. Good luck.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Never did we feel like we were bothering them with questions. The site was clean, well maintained. I would stay there again. The location is great if u are a tourist without a vehicle. We used the bus for everything. It is near the bus lines. Great hotel.
